Reboot. This is not to be used for general conversations.

For those of you who haven't seen this topic yet; this is a place for "outstanding" CBUB set-ups. While the word "outstanding" may be somewhat subjective, look at this topic as a place for the absolute best the CBUB has to offer. Let that sink in for a moment... the best...outstanding. Really, only about 5% of the matches you have ever read in your entire time here would even be considered worthy of going in this topic.

Some general Guidelines about using this topic

- Do not post your own match. I can't stress this enough. DO NOT POST YOUR OWN MATCH.

- Use this topic sparingly. Remember, this is for the legendary set-ups of the CBUB not the general "good" set-ups.

- This topic is not for general conversations.

- Please post the match title (The competitors) and the author. (You should also post the text of the match).

MOD EDIT: Ever since the CBUB Monthly Match Tournaments started in earnest back in 2012, the winning matches of each tournament have been inducted in this thread as as well as in the CBUB Hall of Fame thread. However, the tourneys held since electricferret's re-opening have required multiple matches entered per contestant, so, in the interest of maintaining the exclusivity of this thread, only the highest-rated matches from each tournament winner will be placed here.

If you have any other questions just let one of the moderators/administrators know.

Dean Winchester vs. Samhain

The Road So Far

For some who have experienced war there is an inescapable pain that latches on to the back of you soul. This pain is dreadful, it is painful. All the worst memories of war will never escape you, for they are apart of that person. There are many wars, but there is war that never ends. A war between humanity and the very things that hide within the shadows. Some who have fought in this war have tried to escape, but it is said once your in there is no going back. The people who live the normal lives do not know of the world within their own. The people that do know will always be cursed no matter what. Some believed the war ended when the Devil himself was put in his cage along with his Brother, but this just made the world worse. Hell does not have a leader, the demons just simply walk the Earth no more intentions. They spread fear and torment where ever they can, and spread the brutality that they had experienced while locked away in the Pitt. Their only hope for victory was locked away once again, and war torn Earth still continued to thrive with humanity. The only thing left for the evils Hell is vengeance on those who destroyed all hope for victory. Back to what I saying though; how can a warrior, who has lived a life of war, live a life that is normal? A warrior who died for his family and lived for his family. How can he live without anyone in his family left? How can he live the normal way, when the only way he knows to live is hunting? He made a promise to his brother. He made a promise to the only family he really knew....

Now

"Shop Smart. Shop S-Mart", the man at the front said. Dean just simply passed him, trying to ignore him. He noticed this guy had a metal hand. He thought that was weird, but in his life he had seen much weirder. Lisa told him to pick up Frosted Flakes and 2% milk. Dean thought it was funny, because he never did any of this stuff before. When he wanted cereal he just picked up a box of whatever he saw, as well as milk, but he really never ate a normal breakfast. He and his brother traveled everywhere together, and now Dean didn't have his brother. He wasn't even traveling anywhere. He went with Lisa to the little league football games and had dinner with Lisa and her son, Ben. Dean used to hunt down monsters, now he is searching for a simple cereal brand. It seemed like there were hundreds or even thousands to Dean. He just looked down at the piece of paper given to him and would glance at all the boxes. Flashbacks started to race through his head. He remembered when he could make homemade flamethrowers and explosives, but he couldn't find a simple box of cereal. Finally, he saw the name Frost Flakes, along with the tiger on the front. He picked it up and gazed over it. "Frosted Flakes. Got it", Dean said to himself as he threw the box in the cart. He started pushing the car and once again looked over the list. "Apples, sugar, flour, milk, pie crust", Dean said to himself. Dean got all the ingredients and headed on to his new home. Lisa put everything away and Dean sat back in a chair. He had a beer in his hand and glanced at the TV. Ben was watching cartoons and Dean just smiled. He remembered when Sam used to watch cartoons. Dean opened the beer and took a sip. He leaned back in the chair and closed his eyes.

The sweet smell of apple pie filled the house. Dean's eyes opened wide as he pushed himself forward. He loved that smell. Dean rose up to his feet and started walking toward the kitchen. Lisa just took the apple pie out of the oven and then she looked over at Dean. "Hmmm you got up just on time", Lisa said calmly. "I guess I did", Dean replied. Ben, Lisa, and Dean sat around the table. They were eating dinner and then for desert ate a slice of pie. This was his new life now and he loved it, but it did come with depression. He still had that feeling of dread within him. He was living a wonderful life, and Sam was locked away with two pissed off archangels and a half brother. He often had nightmares at night, thinking about what Sam was going through, but every time he woke up Lisa was there. As they sat around the dinner table Lisa started talking, "This Saturday the McCoys' are throwing a barbecue. I said we'll be there with some fruit salad". "That's sound's good", Dean responded. "Hey, I almost forgot to tell you, there was some guy who came earlier. He wore a light brown trench coat and a suit underneath", Lisa said. "What?", Dean asked. "Yeah he said you were friends or something", Lisa replied. "Son of a bitch", Dean said under his breath. "What was that?", Lisa asked. Dean smiled and said, "Nothing". "So, who is he?", Lisa asked. "Who's who?", Dean replied. "You know who I'm talking about", Lisa said. "Just some guy I used to work with", Dean simply responded.

Later that night Dean stepped outside. He walked underneath a street light and started looking around. "Where are you, Cas? Where are you, you son of a bitch?", Dean spoke out. "Nice to see you again, Dean", Castiel said from behind. "Well if it isn't the new and improved X-Man", Dean said, "What are you doing here? How'd you even find me?". "I have my ways", Castiel said as he looked around the street. "Still doesn't answer my other question", Dean said with frustration. "Sam is out of the cage. He's been out for a long time. I just heard from other angels not long ago", Castiel replied. "What?", Dean asked. "I don't know when he escaped or if he was let out, but he is out", Castiel replied. "What do you me let out?", Dean asked. "God could have brought him back. He brought me back to life, so why wouldn't he bring back Sam? I do not know what happened. All I know is that he is back", Castiel replied. "Wh. Wh. Where? Why hasn't he tried communicating with me?", Dean asked. "I don't know", Castiel asked. "Bullshit", Dean replied. "I don't know, Dean. Since Michael and Lucifer were locked in the cage; Heaven and Hell have been in disarray", Castiel replied. "I thought you were the new sheriff", Dean said. "I was, but many angels and even archangels have started causing chaos. This world has not yet escaped the end", Castiel said. "What?", Dean asked. "Hell lost it's general, but the army is fighting without a leader. They want revenge. Mainly you", Castiel said. "Me? I thought I was hidden", Dean said. "You are, but it is only a matter of time. I will protect you the best I can, but you need to leave these people alone" Castiel said. "I won't I made a promise", Dean said. "Are you willing to let them die?", Castiel asked. Castiel vanished into thin air, and Dean was left there under the street light.

It was Saturday, the day of the barbecue. Dean thought a lot about what Cas said, he even thought about where Sam was. He considered leaving, but he didn't want to betray his brother. He couldn't leave his new life. As Lisa and Ben headed over to the McCoy house, Lisa told Dean to get the chairs out of the trunk. Dean walked over toward the back of the Impala and popped the trunk open. He reached in to get the folding chairs and then looked back to see that the trunk was empty. More flashbacks came into his mind. All those times he took weapons out of the trunk of the Impala, now there was nothing, but folded chairs. Dean started walking toward the barbecue. He had a smile on his face as he watched Ben and some kids playing football. He headed over toward Lisa and a group of neighbors. Dean became friends with his neighbors, something he was not used to, but once again this is his new life. As he and his neighbors laughed and cooked the barbecue, Dean realized he didn't want to go back to his old life. He loved Lisa and he loved the kid. He was happy now, and for the first time he felt like he wasn't cursed.

There was a scream that came from within the house. Before Dean could even react the house turned to flames. All the people at the barbecue were alarmed. Someone shouted for help, and Dean started to run toward the house. Suddenly, he saw something not to far away. It was an image that kept appearing. It was a spirit that was attacking the barbecue, Dean never saw a spirit do this before. "No", Dean said to himself. Dean ran toward a table and grabbed a salt shaker. He ran toward the spirit and threw the salt all over it. The spirit disappeared, but he knew there was something wrong. "Lisa! Ben!", Dean yelled out, but it was to late. There were pale skinned people with scars covering their faces attacking the people at the barbecue. Dean fought back with whatever he could, but these things were everywhere. "Zombies, spirits", Dean said, "Lisa! Ben!". Dean ran around looking for Lisa and Ben, but he couldn't find them. Suddenly, he saw their bodies on the ground. There was a young girl sitting over them. "Hey Dean", the girl said as her eyes turned black. "You little bitch!", Dean yelled. The girl stood up and raised her hand. Dean flew back into a wall and pinned against it. "You put my Father back in Hell, so you will be ripped apart limb from limb" the demon said with a smile. "Go ahead and just kill me, or I will just kill you", Dean said with tears running down his face. Suddenly, the demon's body lit up with a bright light and the girl's body fell to the ground. The zombies and spirits were turned into flames and Castiel stood in the center of the yard. "Cas", Dean said under breath. "We have to go Dean. Samhain has been risen", Castiel replied.

Castiel took Dean away from the carnage that was about to come. He took him to a room that Castiel created himself. It wasn't like the room the angels created before. Dean looked around and asked, "I thought Samhain could only be summoned on Halloween in what 2,000 years?", Dean asked. "Orignally, but Hell is much different since the defeat of Lucifer", Castiel replied. Dean looked around the room, and realized that it was not like the other angels' room that he had been in before. This one was nearly like a hunter's room. It was an armory. All the weapons that Dean had in his Impala was now in this room. All the fake IDs and all the credit cards. "Some angels that I trust are bringing the Impala here", Castiel said from behind Dean. "What is this place?", Dean asked in shock. "It is a room that I created for your safety. It's your own personal armory", Castiel replied. "My armory?", Dean asked. "They're your weapons, Dean", Castiel answered. "I see that. What are you doing with them?", Dean asked. "It is like that saying: One man's trash another man's treasure", Castiel replied. "Are you trying to be funny? Why do you have them?", Dean asked. "Because war is not over. The demons are raising Hell on Earth, and the darkest angels are letting the world burn. I have trusted allies, but not enough to win the war. I knew I needed you", Castiel said. "I'm done", Dean said with a tear rolling down his face. "I rebelled for you. I became an enemy of Heaven to help you. I am just asking for your help", Castiel said with frsutration. "I can't. I just can't. Now bring back Lisa and Ben", Dean ordered. "I can't", Castiel replied. "Can't or won't?", Dean asked. "Won't", Castiel said as he walked closer toward Dean, "I warned you that the demons would kill them. I warned you that Hell was after you and you ignored me. If I bring them back they will be hunted just as you are right now. They will be tortured and burned alive. At least they are in Heaven now. They don't have to experience this Hell anymore", Castiel said in frustration. "Please. Please Cas", Dean said as he fell against a wall. Tears ran down his face and all he could think about was Lisa. "Please bring them back", Dean begged. "I am truly sorry, Dean, I am, but I will not allow them to be hunted down by Hell itself. Hell knows you weakness and it will tear you apart. You are my friend and I will not put you through that", Castiel said. "You son of a bitch", Dean said in anger. "Please forgive me", Castiel said. "If I help you. If this war ends, and I some how kill Samhain; will you bring them back?", Dean asked. There was a silence and then finally Castiel started walking toward a silver table. He picked up a gun and a knife separately. He turned toward Dean and put out his hands for Dean to take the weapons. Dean gazed over the gun and knife. He soon realized that it was both the Colt and Ruby' dagger. "As soon as this war is over. I will bring them back", Castiel said with a small smile. Dean closed his eyes and dropped his head. More tears started to run down his face, and finally he looked back up to see Castiel was gone. "Thanks Cas".

After opening the door he saw the Impala outside. It was time for the hunt to begin. He loaded the back of the Impala up with all the weapons in the room. As soon as he was finished he got in the driver's seat and looked at a picture of Lisa and Ben hanging from the rear view mirror. He even glanced back at that toy soldier in the ashtray that Sam put in there as a child. A thought went through his head. "As soon as I kill Samhain, I will find Sam", Dean thought. As he drove through the darkness of the night he headed for Cicero, Indiana. That is where Lisa lived, and that is where Samhain is. Several hours passed and finally Dean arrived in the broken town. He could tell that Hell had been through there, but he didn't care about the zombies or the spirits. Finally, he saw a gathering not far away. He stopped the Impala and started to load the Colt. He put Ruby's dagger in a holder and started to load up a sawed-off shotgun. After putting a large plastic bottle of Holy water in his jacket he got out of the Impala. He ran into an alley way, and started to hunt...

**************************************

Dean Winchester - Has the Colt, Ruby's Dagger, a sawed-off shotgun, and Holy Water. He hasn't hunted in a long time, so he maybe rusty, but he is pissed.

Samhain - Has the same powers he did in Supernatural. He can raise zombies, spirits, and has a small group of demons under his command.

Toshiro Kago, the one of many vice presidents of Tagruato Enterprises glanced nervously at his superior, who was sitting calmly behind his desk. Kago coughed and began to speak;

"Sir, the deep sea drilling project has been a failure. Nothing of any value has been recovered. There is no oil in this area. The project has been a waste of our time and resources. With your permission, I would like to shut down the oil rig and bring our employees back to Japan. This rig will continue to draw money away from our monthly income, and I fear that it will all have been for nothing. Many of the other vice presidents agree with me on this matter, and-" the vice president managed to get this far in his sentence before his superior cut him off.

"Yes, I know. One of your colleagues has already spoken to me on this matter, and I shall tell you what I told him; the project will go ahead as planned. Numerous sources have indicated that oil has been found in this area, and if we find it our income is expected to double within the next few years. I'm afraid that this is the end of the matter." he replied smugly.

"Ah... yes, sir. But there is one other thing I wished to discuss with you; one of our workers was patrolling the perimeter a few nights ago. According to him, little could be heard over the noise of the deep-sea drill, but as he was making his third round he believes that he heard some sort of low, rumbling noise coming from the ocean. Apparently, it was so loud it could be easily heard over the drill." The vice president finished his sentence hurriedly. He already knew that this had been a waste of time. The president stared witheringly at him before speaking coldly:

"I assure you, Kago, it will take more than mere ghost stories to change my mind on this matter. If this is all you wished to discuss, I suggest you leave before I have my guards escort you from the room."

Toshiro Kago concealed a sigh before speaking; "Yes, sir."

Without another word, he turned and strode quickly from the room.

Deep beneath the Tagruato oil rig, the Tagruato drill continued to spin, burrowing deeper and deeper into the Earth's crust, searching for precious oil that would never be found. Fifty feet away from the drill, a massive, dark shape swam through the murky water. It had been searching for the reason that it had awoken from its slumber early, and he had now found it. For thousands of years this creature had been sleeping, and it was not due to awake until it had matured enough biologically to be considered an adult of his species. This was not that time. Something had caused it to wake whilst still in its early childhood. It had woken confused and angry, not knowing what to do without its long-dead parent. Then it had felt the Earth move and a deafening noise had echoed around its ears. Roaring in its fury, it had smashed through the underground cavern that it had slumbered in and torn through the water, determined to locate the source of this noise and destroy it. After hours of searching, it had finally found its target. It shot through the water towards the massive drill, preparing to crush it, when it saw that it was connected to something that ran from the drill to the surface. It lashed out with its left arm, then its right, before unleashing his powerful jaws on the metal drill, easily demolishing the machine. The creature swam towards the surface, intending to destroy the large complex that the drill was connected to. Using its huge tentacles, the creature tore the oil rig to pieces in less than an hour, sending chunks of metal flying in all directions, before sinking back into the ocean silently. Not knowing exactly what to do next, it took off swimming in one direction, putting it on a direct collision course with Manhattan...

After it had reached Manhattan, New York, the beast had clambered out of the ocean before viciously attacking everything in sight. What seemed to be a large, green giant was ferociously attacked, having its head torn off and thrown deep into the city of New York. The creature was met with little resistance, only having to battle miniscule men and slightly bigger armoured vehicles. Suddenly, hundreds of parasites the size of dogs inhabiting the monster detached themselves from the beast, sensing fresh meat down on the surface. They spread through the city like a plague. The beast, ignoring these irritating creatures which were harmless to him, crushed the remaining humans with ease before continuing deeper into the city, destroying everything in sight...

Ronald Sheckley, head scientist of the Cross-Dimensional Research department, examined the blueprints lain out on the marble table in front of him for the umpteenth time before sighing in frustration. Perhaps it had been a waste of time working after all of his lab-hands had left after all. The latest project of the Fujiwaka Cross-Dimensional Research department was incredible in theory, but almost impossible to create. Holding his head in his hands, he scanned the entire page once again. The title read "Otherworldly Travel". Not the best title in the world, but it would do. He carefully read through the blueprints once again, thoroughly examining every cog and wire, before yelling in delight. He had connected two of the wires together in the wrong order. Pulling on a pair of rubber gloves he half-ran, half skipped to the large machine that would open a rift to another reality. Opening a compartment on the side of the machine, he plunged his gloved hands into the machine. He quickly tried to loosen the problematic wires, but shrieked as sparks flew from the machine. Stumbling backwards, he kicked the compartment door shut angrily before slumping to the floor. This was the project that would get him a Nobel Prize, that would finally get him the recognition he deserved as the greatest mind since Einstein, and here he was being put off by a few sparking wires! He was almost crying with frustration when he decided to take a break and see what was on the television. He went to the staff room and pressed the "on" switch on the remote control just in time to see a breaking news report that a "giant monster" had attacked New York. At first he grinned sheepishly, thinking it to be some sort of joke, when the ground beneath him rumbled violently. He lost his balance and fell to the floor in a heap before picking himself up and returning his attention to the television. His jaw dropped as he saw live footage of a huge creature destroying buildings. He recognized the street the footage was taken from, and realized that it was only a mile away. He sprinted from the room, and almost fell once again when the entire building shook violently. An idea was forming in his mind. If he could rush the cross-dimensional project through, he may be able to conceal himself from the creature in another dimension until it was stopped. He gasped as he heard a window breaking downstairs. Two Parasites entered the building and began searching for food. He ran to the laboratory and pulled on a Radiation Protection suit. He ran to a console and typed in a series of commands. The machine should have started running, but Sheckley realized that he needed to fix the stray wires. Sprinting to the machine and opening the compartment door, he yanked the wires apart, ignoring the sparks that flew from the machine, before tying them together in the correct order. He sprinted back to the console and glanced at the two-way observation window and almost screamed. Two of the Parasite creatures where throwing themselves at the reinforced glass in an attempt to reach the scientist. Using the console to activate the machine, Sheckley ran to the place where the dimensional window should appear.

Glancing back at the window, Sheckley saw a small crack run down the length of the glass as another Parasite attempted to enter. He gave out a triumphant yell as a small hole appeared out of nowhere, connected to the large machine by a single beam of light. As the hole grew in size, Sheckley peered inside. All he could see was mist. He grinned happily as he realized the air in this dimension must be breathable to sustain mist. He was still grinning as something shot out of the darkness towards him. Some sort of tentacle wrapped itself around his head. He gave a muffled cry before he was pulled head-first through the portal. A few moments passed, before an agonizing, drawn-out scream pierced the silence of the laboratory. It trailed off, and there was silence once more before glass shattered and a group of Parasites entered the laboratory. They stopped before the portal, sensing another presence concealed in the depths of the mist that came billowing through the portal. More Tentacles came through the portal along with the mist, which now enveloped the entire room. The Parasites faced the Tentacles and growled before leaping at them. One of the Tentacles was killed instantly as a Parasite used its massive teeth to tear it to shreds. Another wrapped itself around a Parasite, using its multiple mouths to tear massive chunks from the Parasite's body. The two remaining Parasites viciously attacked the final tentacle, managing to tear it in half, kiling it. They began to eat the remains of the Tentacles when a huge crustacean lumbered through the mist. The Parasites barely had time to register its presence before it brought its huge claw crashing down on them, easily cracking their protective shells and killing them. The Crustacean scooped up one of the Parasites, eager to try a new meal, when a growling noise came from behind him. The crustacean was confronted by a giant Mantis, which wanted the meals the crustacean had gathered for itself. They prepared to battle each other to the death as more tentacles loomed out of the mist. And in the distance, a huge creature, at least twenty times the size of any of the others, lumbered slowly towards the portal, creating huge craters with each footstep...

The "Cloverfield" Creature, as the military had named it, was still loose in the city, crushing everything in sight. Suddenly it stopped, and turned its head sharply to the right. A wall of mist was enveloping the city, but the Cloverfield creature's extraordinary eyesight allowed it to look deeper into the mist than any other creature could. A massive, lumbering silhouette was making its way towards the spot where the Cloverfield creature was standing. It felt hundreds of parasites detach themselves from its skin and run towards the creature, which was surrounded by smaller creatures. The Cloverfield Monster roared in anger and charged into the mist, preparing to battle the creatures...

Scar Predator vs. Captain America (Bucky Barnes)

Match Creator: RakaiTwei

These creatures were something which he hadn't encountered before, and they were quite the prey to hunt. They came in numbers, all in different shapes and sizes to where he believed that there was going to be no end in this particular hunt. Were he to capture some of the specimens which he had encountered, they could prove to be something for interesting future hunts, but this was not the case. No, this was survival. And the entire city was infested with these creatures which had stormed through Philadelphia and forced the humans to cower into their shelters. It was a surprise to know that there weren't any humans who were out within the city prepared to do battle, but the Yautja himself was perhaps the only one in the city who had fought. But of course, there was much thrill to be had here in the hunts. Strewn about the city streets were the corpses of many of the creatures, most of them were the arachnid like creatures which had the ability to shoot out some sort of acidic webs. And the flying reptilian creatures, while unintelligent, made up for their ferociousness. The smaller, wasp-like creatures were more problematic though, often coming in droves which forced the Predator warrior to seek refuge in abandoned buildings until he deemed it safe enough to come out. But sometimes, there were always a few surprises within the condemned buildings which he had come across. Finding more of the arachnid like monstrosities, forcing him to fight for his life. In the midst of his battles with the spider-like creatures, he had realized that they had bred quite similarly to the Hard Meat, using hosts for incubation for their young. He had seen the eruptive phase of the birth of the arachnid creatures, and came to the realization that the numbers were increasing. And they shot webs which burned like the blood of the Hard Meat. The Predator warrior had been forced to burn down several buildings in order to eliminate the arachnid threat. But the swarms of wasps and arachnids were the least of his problems. Scar had come to the realization that there were larger life forms which he couldn't begin to identify as they were so unusual and so very odd that such a task as to call them arthropods or mollusks was downright impossible. He had come across numerous tentacles from a creature which had many mouths and eyes, but he had managed to kill the tentacle beast with his skill, strength and his wit. With blades and plasma blasts, the Yautja warrior did the monstrosity. But there were more on the streets. More creatures which were massive in size. Some which were impossibly tall to where hunting them was just a downright impossibility. As much as Scar had wished to claim the ones who were as tall as the skyscrapers, the ones with the six legs and odd bodies with tentacles writhing out from their backs, he knew that he was no match for them and continued on with his hunt as he roamed about the city streets of Philadelphia. Now back in Penn's Landing, the Yautja warrior was confronted with one of the more larger creatures. It was like an odd combination of a crustacean and an insect. A cross between a mantis and a lobster, as well as the torso of a man though it was heavily misshapen and swollen with the flesh of many humans it had feasted upon. And now this thing hungered, wanting to feast upon the flesh of the Yautja warrior. However the Predator warrior wasn't going to let that happen. Scar gripped in his hands the Kusarigama, and he swung it above over head and lunged it out, now wrapping the balled chain around the waist of the creature as the ball impacted up against the creature's gut. Scar, using his immense strength pulled the arthropod in towards him, but he watched as the creature moved it's pincers out and snapped the metal chain of the weapon in two-- rendering the weapon useless. Tossing the sickle aside, Scar reached to the back of his hips and took a hold of his naginata blade-staff and drew the weapon out, jerking the handle within his hands and the weapon extended out with the sharpened blade ends now fully extended. He watched as the creature lunged out with it's massive pincers, aiming to grab away at him, but the Predator warrior leapt forward with his arms held high, ready to drive the bladed edge of the naginata firmly deep into the head of his quarry. With a violent thrust of his arms, Scar plunged his weapon deep into the head of the creature. Black blood splattered onto the Yautja warriors armored form as the creature screamed out a violent shrill. Scar plunged his blade forward into the head of the creature, and he shifted his own weight forward as the beast stumbled back. It continued on screaming and screaming as the Yautja repeatedly stabbed the naginata firmly into the chest of his enemy. The creature shrieked and shrieked as it was being killed by the prey which it intended to feast upon. Scar fired off a shot from his plasma caster, blowing a massive hole into the chest of the creature and more of the creature's black blood spilled onto his form. He yanked the naginata out from within the beast's chest, and sunk his weight forward, causing the creature to fall onto it's back. With a furious roar from within, Scar then swung his arms, slashing the bladed ends of the naginata straight in for the neck region of the creature. Blood spilled onto the streets and the creature became nothing more than dead weight. With it's head severed, Scar then reached out with a hand and took a hold of the creature's decapitated head, and held it high up. He roared furiously towards the sky and established his dominance. The creatures were a challenge, but he had over-come them, and he would continue to over-come them until this phenomena would cease. Breathing heavily, Scar looked ahead of himself and noticed that there was a heat pattern, it was large and the way it sounded was reminiscent of engines. And there were more and more heat signatures. The humans were coming out, and they were armed. The human military forces were now ready to fight, and Scar now needed to retreat. Quickly, the Yautja warrior leapt up and he landed onto a nearby rooftop. Scar stared ahead at the city horizon, watching as the mist began to clear up. And with the humans fighting to reclaim the city. It only meant one thing. The phenomena was over. Scar immediately moved a hand to his left wrist CPU gauntlet, and he pressed down onto several buttons and activated his invisibility cloaking field. And like a ghost, the Yautja warrior turned and began heading off elsewhere within the city of Philadelphia. --- Several days had gone by since the phenomena occurred, though the creatures were still lingering in the city. It was kind of expected, an invasive species coming in to an ecosystem which they were completely alien to and were now the dominant predator in the area. Of course, the humans had done their best to get rid of these creatures but it was harder to actually go through with the extermination of these creatures as they breed in numbers, and the smaller ones were harder to deal with. He had tracked down where they were coming from, a wooded area in Fairmount Park, which was a large area-- mostly forested but it was a good hiding spot for the Wasps and the Arachnids to find refuge in and perhaps begin their rise in population. But he wasn't going to let that happen, these were his grounds and he might as well protect them from any invasive species while he could. So it was best to nip this problem in the bud and make sure neither of these creatures came back. Most of the day was spent residing within the area of Fairmount, and he had used his time to actually thoroughly exterminate these pests. The Arachnids and the Wasps were relatively easy to deal with as Scar often used his plasma caster and his blades to deal with the larger of the creatures, but the smaller ones he simply had to crush beneath his feet, no real problem in doing that whatsoever. And then, Scar heard something which caused his ears to perk up-- footsteps. He listened in carefully and using his skills as a tracker, he listened in carefully with the noises. There was a pair of footsteps, one person, and whoever it was surely was making their way here. Knowing that he wasn't alone, Scar then immediately activated his cloaking field and he leapt up into the tree tops. He stared down below, now noticing that there was a heat signature passing through the shrubbery and the bushes. And there was the intruder. A man, dressed in an unusual outfit. And he was armed with a shield of sorts, and a side-arm as well. And one of his arms-- one of his arms was mechanical. Scar's sensors picked it up. Whoever this man was; Most certainly caught Scar's attention indeed. --- He had been requested by the government to help clean up the mess. A mess which the United States Military had made in their little experiments which had gone horribly awry and now he was on the call to help fix this little problem. Most of the creatures in the rural areas were more or less exterminated and Philadelphia was definitely being cleaned of this extra-dimensional pests. Most of the creatures, the ones which had been contained were kept in government storage for further testing but he had expressed his opinion on the creatures which were being kept. Bucky Barnes didn't like how the government had been operating as of late. Now he knew why Steve Rodgers, his former partner and the preceding Captain America before him decided to retire. But he had a legacy to live up to, a legacy which Steve felt as if he were more than perfectly suited for. And he would do Steve proud by fulfilling the legacy until the next chosen Captain America. He had a feeling that the remaining creatures had been isolated in Fairmount Park, and he decided to venture into there in order to exterminate the remaining monstrosities and if they were reproducing, well, he would more or less finish the job by fire. Bucky looked around the area, studying it to see if there were any signs of the creatures nearby, and he had noticed something peculiar about this area. There were webbed dear and possums stuck onto the trees, but that was it. So the creatures were here. But it seemed as if someone had beaten him to the punch. That was until Bucky had heard the sounds of the shrieks of the creatures. And so he took out his side-arm and gripped his shield which Steve had bestowed upon him as the next Captain America. Bucky watched as there were four of the large spider creatures. One of them leapt in towards him, but Bucky swung his shield, allowing the creature to pounce onto it and he slammed the spider down and crushed it with his adamantium shield. Quickly, in succession, Bucky then swung and threw his shield--- impacting two of the creatures and he aimed his side-arm and fired at them, their black blood spraying onto the ground. Two more of the Spider creatures crawled out from the trees, and sprayed their acidic webs in for Captain America, but upon hearing this, Bucky shielded himself. The webs not even burning through the shield as Bucky recovered and fired away at the spiders. One of them was hit, but the second leapt forward. But Bucky moved his bionic arm out and took a firm hold of the creature by the leg, and he swung it in towards a nearby tree and stomped down onto the spider's head, cracking it's skull open. Impressed with this man's physical prowess, the Yautja warrior silently leapt down and he glared at Bucky Barnes as the soldier remained, ready and standing for the next extra-dimensional creature which would be coming it's way for him. The Predator warrior de-activated his invisibility cloaking field, now revealing himself in the world around him and Captain America. With a quick jerk of both his hands, the Predator warrior unsheathed both his wristblades from both Dlex forearm gauntlets. He balled his hands firmly into fists. Bucky Barnes turned and widened is eyes in shock. Before him stood what appeared to be some sort of armored warrior, but it definitely wasn't human, and it definitely wasn't one of those creatures from the mist. No, this was something else entirely different.. Bucky gripped his shield and braced himself. Will Scar Predator further prove his worth by taking the skull of the new Captain America? Or will Bucky fulfill the legacy which Steve Rodgers had started?

Toshiro Kago, the one of many vice presidents of Tagruato Enterprises glanced nervously at his superior, who was sitting calmly behind his desk. Kago coughed and began to speak;

----

* * *

:(:(:(:D

I'm honored.

Dagnabbit, this is what I'm talkin' about. Take notes:

Dark Predator vs The Wookiees

The light flickered through Delta 38's cracked visor. The dull hum of static ran through his ears, slowly being replaced by gun fire and the distant shouts of one of his squad. His body was numb and his head throbbed uncontrollably. What had happened? He couldn't remember a thing. He slowly reached up to his helmet and removed it from his head, allowing the freezing rain to rush over his face. His headache began to fade under the rain's presence, slowly permitting his other senses to come to life. The stinging rain kept his sight somewhat impaired but he could still make out the illuminating scarlet of blaster fire off in the distance. His sense of smell returned as well, filling 38's sinuses with the overwhelming scent of smoke.

"Boss! Boss! Oh shit that looks bad! Don't worry, I got you!"

38 looked up to see the form of Scorch running towards him. Before he got to him though, another sense returned "pain". Boss unleashed a bloodcurdling screech into the air and looked down to see the source of the smoke. A large black hole was now visible in the center of his chest, the chest plate that use to be there was nowhere to be seen. His flesh was now a black crust and blood seeped out from around the crevices. Scorch knelt beside him with a med kit.

"Gah!...What's the situation delta?"

Boss gritted his teeth and his eyes rocked back and forth but he tried his best to keep calm. Scorch looked down on the gaunt face of his commander and frowned beneath his helmet.

"Sev is dead, sir. I found him in the clearing a few clicks north. I heard gunfire so I ran back as fast as I could. The new guy was already a goner, spinal cord and head ripped clean off! You were struck in the chest before I could even find the target; some blue plasma thing came flying out of freakin' nowhere! Once the rain picked up, Fixer and I caught sight of him. He's huge, Boss! Fixer tagged him a few times and I nicked him with an anti-armor shot. It got him on the run for sure. Fixer went after him and told me to take care of you. So here I am."

The cooling sensation of bacta rushed over Boss as Scorch held the paddles over his charred form. The pain began to fade. Then, a realization came over him; the sound of blasters were gone.

"Scorch, get back to Fixer now!"

Scorch rose to his feet and suddenly a circular shape whizzed over Boss's head and warm wet substance landing on his face. Boss turned back to Scorch who stood still in front of him.

"Scorch? Are you alright?"

Delta 62 stroked his hand along his body frantically, then after breathing a sigh of relief, Scorch slowly turned back around and held up his thumb.

"Yeah, all's good, Boss."

The delta took one step forward and his upper torso peeled from his frame and thudded to the ground.

Delta 38's eyes widened and he thrust his hand into the moist jungle floor, forcing himself to his feet. He hastily looked for his blaster, only to grab the one still clutched in Scorch's lifeless fingers.

The jungle seemed to roar to life all at once, everything was moving faster than reality to the delta commander. He whirled around in a circle, squinting as the rain pelted his naked eyes. Leaves flew by, animals scurried past his feet, and the fateful thud of 62's lower half finally collapsing to the floor all caused Delta 38's heart to race.

He began to limp off in a random direction, scouring the hectic jungle for his unseen foe. Then his heart jumped as a hand grabbed hold of his wrist as he rounded a tree.

"Boss..."

About three feet off the ground, Fixer rested against the tree, pinned there by a metallic staff.

"Dropped my gun... sir... almost had him... he's... fast... sir... so fast..."

Boss stared into the blank visor of his brother; a deep sadness overwhelming him as he knew he was fading quickly.

"Where is he Delta?"

"Heh... sir... he's right behind you..."

The hair on Boss's arms rose to a point and he slowly turned to face whatever it was that awaited him. A large figure, clad in nothing but mesh and a helmet, looked down upon him. The clone instinctively tried raising his blaster, but he wasn't fast enough. The alien grabbed a hold of the weapon and ripped it from his grasp, kicking him to his back in the process.

Boss grunted in pain and looked up to see the creature lumbering toward him. Fixer's body hung limp against the tree beside him. Boss scrambled to his feet, unleashing his vibro-knuckler and entering into a fighter's stance. A metallic sheathing sound filled the air as the beast unleashed his wristblades. Boss's heart thumped uncontrollably and the pain in his chest began to resurface. This creature was unlike anything he had ever seen; larger than any Trandoshan, faster than any Geonosian, and he made him feel something he never thought he would feel fear.

The commando anxiously awaited his foe to make the first move. It seemed like time slowed as he watched the large creature move forward. Even the rain seemed to slow its descent as the creature swung its right arm and began the battle.

The two traded blows: a punch to head, a kick to the torso, and a cut across the chest. Both bled as the rain pounded their bodies. But Boss knew he wouldn't last much longer. His foe was stronger. His foe was quicker. His foe was smarter. With one last fateful lunge, the creature parried with his left handed blade and severed the clone's hapless arm with his right. Boss didn't even yell, he simply crumbled to his knees and slumped his head forward. It all happened so fast. How had this creature overwhelmed them with such ease? Maybe if Sev was there things would have been different. The clone closed his eyes and let the darkness engulf him. His body was burnt, torn, and broken, yet his mind was far worse off. He heard the creature walk behind him and yet he didn't attempt to move. He died before the monster could swing. The predator lifted the clone's severed head into the air and his roar of triumph echoed throughout the jungle.

The Delta Squad was no more.

A week had passed since his battle with the clones. His wounds from the battle had long healed by then and he sat perched on a tree branch scouring Kashyyyk's landscape. Creatures of all sorts roamed these jungles - their intelligence left something to be desired though. Two factions had caught his attention though. A group of hairy ooman-like creatures battled savagely with their metal advisories. However, a day or two ago, the droids simply... died. Every last one simply dropped to the floor without even a push. Even more intriguing to Dark was that the oomans who fought alongside the hairy ones turned their fire onto their allies as soon as their metal quarry ceased to function.

The oomans on this world all seemed the same to Dark and he found hunting them oddly repetitive. The ones who called themselves "Delta Squad" appeared to be their greatest warriors and the few oomans Dark hunted down after them lacked the challenge Dark desperately desired. Perhaps the hairy oomans would pose more of a threat?

The sound of battle suddenly reached Dark's ear and he took off in that direction without delay. As he leapt through the air, from tree to tree, his form became hidden to the naked eye as his cloaking field enveloped his body.

"Fall back! There's too many of them-ACK!"

The clone officer's warning was cut off with a bolt through the neck; his troops, nevertheless, heeded his warning and ran. The Wookiees charged after them firing green energy blasts from their primitive looking bows, dropping a few of the fleeing soldiers.

"RAAAAAAAAAAH!!!"

The Wookiees roared in victory as they watched their enemies flee. Unbeknownst to them, the real battle for their lives would begin in moments.

High above the battlefield, Dark watched with excitement. His helmet zoomed in the harry ooman's weapons and a list of details scrolled along his visor. They weren't as primitive as he had thought. They carried crossbows that fired like blasters, some firing up to three shots in a spread fire radios. Their melee combat impressed Dark as well. Dark had watched a single Wookiee take on five clones at once ,with but a blade, and he butchered them all with ease.

Suddenly, one of the larger black haired Wookiees turned in his direction and sniffed the air. His eyes went crossed eyed as he attempted to see the three red dots that abruptly appeared on his forehead.

"SPLAAAT!"

The other Wookiees' eyes widened in shock as their brethren's head erupted without warning. A second Wookiee screamed in horror as a net flew through the air and encased his body. His brothers rushed to his aid but could do nothing as the net slowly diced their brother's carcass into small chunks of flesh.

"RAAAAAAAAAAH!!!"

The war cry caught the Wookiees off guard. It sounded as if another group of Wookiees were the cause of their brethren's death. This angered them greatly. With a returned roar, the group of Wookiee warriors raised their bowcasters and charged blindly into the jungle before them. Wookiee or not, their enemy would die for what they had done.

ASHLEY J. WILLIAMS AND SHAUN VS. PINHEAD

After the events of Army of Darkness, Ash feels like it's time to go back to the cabin in the woods. After all, the Deadites have been defeated once and for all, so nothing bad can happen now, right?

As he pulls up his Oldsmobile in front of the cabin and enters, he finds two other people inside.

"You must be the owner of this cabin. I'm Shaun, and this is my fiancee, Liz. We just moved here from England, and we're here to have a little holiday. Move away from the madness and the chaos of the big city, so to speak."

"Hi, Shaun. I'm Ash, and I'm also here looking for some peace and quiet. You seem like a nice guy, unlike the assholes who previously visited this cabin. I think we are gonna get along nicely."

As Ash unpacks his things and goes to get a beer from the fridge, Shaun and Liz find a strange-looking cube.

"What do you think this is, Shaun?" says Liz

"Oh, I know what this is. It's a Rubik's Cube. I used to own one of these when I was a little kid. They may seem hard, but they are actually pretty easy to solve." says Shaun

Shaun starts fidgeting around with the cube, until he eventually solves the puzzle.

At that moment, Ash enters the room.

"No! Don't touch that!" says Ash

But, alas, it's too late.

The room starts to fill with mist and smoke, the smell of rotting flesh is everywhere, and chains begin forming from the walls.

"Greeting, my children. You have released us. Time to play. There is so much to show you..." says Pinhead

As more Cenobites materialize from the shadows, a song starts playing in the background, a song that's all too familiar to Shaun...

"Tonight I'm gonna have myself a real good time

I feel alive and the world it's turning inside out, yeah!

I'm floating around in ecstasy

So don't stop me now, don't stop me!

'Cause I'm having a good time, having a good time!

I'm a shooting star leaping through the skies!

Like a tiger defying the laws of gravity!

I'm a racing car passing by like Lady Godiva!

I'm gonna go go go!

There's no stopping me!

I'm burning through the skies, yeah!

Two hundred degrees

That's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit!

I'm trav'ling at the speed of light

I wanna make a supersonic man of you!

Don't stop me now, I'm having such a good time!

I'm having a ball, don't stop me now

If you wanna have a good time, just give me a call!

Don't stop me now! ('Cause I'm having a good time!)

Don't stop me now! (Yes I'm having a good time!)

I don't want to stop at all!

I'm a rocket ship on my way to Mars

On a collision course!

I am a satellite, I'm out of control!

I am a sex machine ready to reload!

Like an atom bomb about to

Oh oh oh oh oh, explode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm burning through the skies, yeah!

Two hundred degrees

That's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit!

I'm trav'ling at the speed of light

I wanna make a supersonic woman out of you!

Don't stop me, don't stop me, don't stop me!

Hey hey hey!

Don't stop me, don't stop me!

Ooh ooh ooh (I like it!)

Don't stop me! Have a good time, good time!

Don't stop me, don't stop me!

Ooh ooh Alright!

I'm burning through the skies, yeah!

Two hundred degrees

That's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit!

I'm trav'ling at the speed of light

I wanna make a supersonic woman of you!

Don't stop me now I'm having such a good time

I'm having a ball, don't stop me now!

If you wanna have a good time

Just give me a call!

Don't stop me now! ('Cause I'm having a good time!)

Don't stop me now! (Yes, I'm having a good time!)

I don't wanna stop at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

La la la la laaaa

La la la la

La la laa laa laa laaa

La la laa la la la la la laaa hey!!...."

"What's with the Queen song?" says Ash

Shaun shrugs and says "It follows me wherever I go."

"Anyway, it looks like we have to take care of this. Are you ready?" says Ash as he grabs his weapons

Shaun turns to Liz and says "Go upstairs, Liz. It's time for us to take out the trash!" as he also grabs his weapons.

So, it's

-Ash (with his double-barreled shotgun and his chainsaw)

and

-Shaun (with a Winchester rifle, a baseball bat and a crowbar)

VS

-Pinhead, Butterball, Chatterer and Angelique

Who wins this?

Korg vs Doc Samson

Samson had been following the events of Hulk and his Warbound coming to earth, taking over the city and extracting revenge on those that betrayed him. Samson had seen enough and knew he had to try to get through to Bruce the man inside the monster. It did not take long to find where the Hulk was as he was now the ruler of a major city. The hard part would be convincing him that what he is doing is wrong. Samson had always been a friend of Bruce and the Hulk but that is not to say they had not thrown down and had there share of brawls before. Samson just hope things would not degrade to that and that reason could get through to the Green Scar where everything else had failed.

"Okay we can only take you this far. We cant take you into the city, his orders, and we sure as hell don't want to piss him off anymore then he is already."

"Yeah about that. I'm not one hundred percent sure this is going to work so you might want to call in sick tomorrow. The city might not be here."

"Well let you down in that area there."

"No need. I can take it from here." Samson opened the door of the helicopter and jumped out. He went into free fall rocketing down and impacting like a meteor. The pavement beneath him feet cracked and broken little pieces of what was road seconds ago coming down like a spring shower.

"God I hate it when they do shit like that. These supers always say they want to be treated no differently then you and I, and they are just like us. Hey, I'm fine with that but just don't jump the hell of a helicopter 400 feet in the air and break through the road I usually take to work in the morning and walk away without me think something just aint right."

"I know what you mean. Half of em freak me out just looking at there faces. Rock men guys made of fire;..giant green trolls, what the hell do they want us to think."

"Yeah book it out of here I got a bad feeling about this guys so called friendly meeting with big green."

"Hey he said he's a doctor so who better to patch em selves up after they break all the bones in there bodies."

Samson walked most of the way into the city headed to the stadium which the Warbound had turned into a gladiatorial arena. He was in the lot looking at the structure. It had seen better days and had already had some action. Word is a few of the unlucky heroes have already battled a round or two in there and it was easy to tell.

"Alright Samson get moving one foot in front of the other."

"How about a 180 and don't stop till the sun sets." It was not quite the welcome he was hoping for.

"Listen I have to talk to Bruce."

"Bruce?"

"Your Hulk; the Hulk; your leader. You know the big green guy that smashes things when he throws a temper."

"He aint taking house calls. Leave now or I will send you packing."

Samson paused. The smart thing would be leave but he needed, NO had to try to get through to the Hulk.

"God; I'm really sorry bout this." Samson landed an uppercut right to the jaw sending Korg up into the bright sky and plummeting down hard to the ground with a thud.

"He seemed nice. Another time I would have taken a rain check. Hope he's alright."

"Yeah," Korg got to his feet. "Yeah I'm alright. Nice punch. You can throw em but can you take them?"

Samson paused. "Is everybody a heavy hitter these days?"

"Yep that's about right. You guessed it, so here's your prize." A delivery van turned into a fast ball special collided with Samson causing a spark as the metal and Doc skidded down the parking lot. There was a loud explosion and flash of fire as the fuel went up like lights in times square. Samson kicked what twas left of the vehicle off him and got to his feet. Korg just stared at him.

"Geez what is every body a heavy hitter these days. Is there anyone normal on the planet? We're supposed to be the weird big tough..." Korg was tackled to the ground before he could finish the sentence. Samson was determined to get in as much as Korg was determined to keep him out.

Vin vs. Inigo Montoya

Vin sighed as she opened the door to the flat she was staying at due to the rocky state of things with Elend, tired from a hard days work on Hugo's The Princess Bride adaptaion. She licked the light on and jumped back in surprise. A Steel inquisitor was in her house.

"Calm down Vin." She did a little, she knew that voice, Marsh.

"Marsh, it's nice to see you but how the hell did you get in here?" Marsh pointed to the spikes in his eyes.

"I could see the spare key under the mat kid," he said, "Now we need to talk about about this thing you've got going on with that Starkiller fellow."

"There's nothing going on, just, tabloid grade rumors." Vin protested.

"I know a lie when I hear oneVin, even a white lie, you're attracted to him." Vin shrunk a bit but her eyes were defiant

"So what if i am?" she asked.

"Vin those Sci-fi guys think they're better to us. because they got lasers and spaceships ad all that crap. They don't understand the majesty of magic or the beauty of simpler times. Breaking up with Elend is one thing, heaven knows half the crew don't approve of noblemen, but going for one of those high brow Sci-fi types? Kelsier may find okay buut he was always crazy, we've got to find you a respectable fantasy man before it's too late." Maesh said.

"Isn't it my buisness who I date Marsh?"

"Not when you got lightsabers in your house."

"You went through my things?'

'Vin, the crew may have raised but we're still thieves, of course I did. You're coming with me and don't even try to fight it, you know I can moe fast thanks to my stolen Feruchemy." Vin slunk down in defeat.

Half an hour later Ye Old BBQ Grill and Bar:

"A Speed dating service? I can still rip those spikes out of you, you know.' Vin deadpanned.

"Ah but you wouldn't do that to me, a lot of these guys are single and looking for love and are better than some droid kisser." Marsh said. Vin struggled to get through each guy until finally she hard a voice with a Spanish accent.

"Hello, My name is Inigo Montoya, you did not kill my father and do not need to die." Oh the irony.

"Vin. My friend Date's playing you in Hugo's adaptation." she said.

"Did say Vin as in Vin of Mistborn, I thought you had a boyfriend, that Starkiller fellow." Inigo mused.

"Galen and I are just coworkers." Vin repeated out of reflex. Did everyone and their dog think they were dating.

"Ah I see, well that's just as well, a beautiful woman such as yourself, can far better than that. Starkiller is a coward who hides behind the Force because he lacks blade skills," Vin glaeed over at Marsh, she wanted to rip his back spike out and kill him right now, then she'd stab Inigo with it for insulting Galen. Unfortunately killing was banned here, "So you said Dante of Deil May Cry was playing me how's he doing, did he get the accent right?" Vin need to get out of her but that wouldn't be easy with Marsh around.

I like both these for a few reasons. They are to the point and get that point across, the yare not ten pages long and I enjoyed reading reading them, I like the characters and THEY USE PUNCTUATION PROPERLY

Im not a fan of this style

Doom: How do you expect to defeat me.

Ironman: becauses I must for the good of humanity.

Domm: hahahahahahahaha

Okay, I think this is a pretty good entry.

The A-Team vs. Harry Potter by thetrekker

After an entirely too long hiatus from the CBUB (all of one month, and with an arc paused), I've decided to refire my imagination in an attempt to get me to finish my FPL character. It's time to revamp one of my oldest fights (which was crap) and make it into my magnum opus.

Disclaimer: THIS IS A LONG SET-UP. If you are into short set-ups, or don't have the time, don't complain for you have been warned.

VOTE, RATE, COMMENT, AND ENJOY

"Drive B.A., Drive!" Yelled Face looking out the side window and seeing the Military Police keeping easy pace.

"Damn man, what you think I'm trying to do." Retorted B.A. as he swerved the van, avoiding a semi in the oncoming traffic. The mission that the A-Team had been hired to preform had been a horrible trap set by Lynch. As soon as they had arrived at the port where they were supposed to apprehend a drug trafficker, four MP cars erupted from a nearby building and began chasing them.

"They're gaining on us" Hannibal shouted as he opened one of the doors and fired off a few bullets at the wheels of the nearest police car. The police car spun hard as its drivers side front wheel blew out. Unfortunately the car spun into a civilian car, which then spun into a large truck carrying construction supplies. The truck fell on its side, directly infront of the Dodge GMC van.

B.A. slammed the brakes, but it made no difference. An MP car slammed into the rear and sent the van crashing into one of the cement pillars that the truck had carried.

"NNOOOOOOO!!!" screamed B.A., more at the loss of his black and red baby than at the thought of a life's sentence. The airbags erupted and knocked Face out cold. Hannibal and Murdock were thrown into the backs of the front seats. Smoke began to rise from the engine as the doors to the van were thrown open. The clamor of MP soldiers overwhelmed the failing sensory synapses in the remaining three embers as they all faded away into unconsciousness.

From a distance a lone small compact car, looking beaten from several years of use, pulled over. Out stepped a woman, a tall, black haired latina smoking a cigarette. She was still dressed in a bathrobe, and wore the appearance of a who was all too easily lured to bed. She took a puff of her cigarette, letting it dangle in the air for a while before a sudden gust blew it out. She glanced down at it and then rummaged through the robe's one pocket, she pulled out a phone that still had the last dialed number on it, "911". Finally, she pulled out a lighter. igniting it, she laughed.

"That will teach that double crossing, Face bastard." she said as she puffed on her cigarette, watching the carnage finish itself off.

---

Murdock was the first and only to awaken. He looked about him quickly. He was in a tight space with a cylindrical wall to either side of him. he looked straight and saw the ceiling above him, dimly light. He heard the voices of two men.

"Activating tube restraints." The man said as the door above Murdock began to close. His instincts, still slow from the accident, didn't allow him to reach up and block the closing door. As it shut he could hear the second man say,

"Enabling cryogenic sleep."

Murdock was blasted by frigid air. He began to bang on the door. "Hey buddy, let me out. I told you right on that enlistment form that I wanted to be cremated, not frozen and given to some little kid as an ice cream treat." The men were oblivious, and Murdock soon tired from his efforts, slipping back into the deep slumber that his friends were enjoying.

---

The doors opened slowly as cloudy, frigid air rushed out from it. Lieutenant Lynch stood stoically, surrounded by five officers, all bearing weapons. He gave a hand motion, and the men went to work helping the four criminals out of the cryogenic chambers. Groans and grunts emanated from the four convicts, and from the men who were helping Baracas.

"Get them washed up and sent to briefing room B. Include a security detail, fully armed." said Lynch walking out the door. I never thought I'd see the day where I would need the A-Team.

A few hours later, the four men were hustled into the large room where Lynch stood infront of a Windows XP computer hooked up to a projector.

"Ah Gentlemen," said the gray haired Lynch as the men sat down, chained together. "you haven't aged a day."

"And you have." retorted Hannibal, "Now what the hell was that car chase all about?"

"What car chase?" asked Lynch, completely oblivious.

"Oh I don't know the one on T.V. last night?" Hannibal struck back angrily.

"Oh, of course. I'd nearly forgotten about how we even caught you. I meant to say this earlier, but I suppose better late than never. Welcome to the year 2000." Gasps arose from the four men as they heard the latter statement. "You've been out for nearly 15 years."

"How were we unconscious for 15 years?" asked Face.

"Uh Face, I think I can answer that," Murdock interjected, "As I remember, they put us in some of those sleeper, cryogenic thingies." Obviously, the sleep hadn't messed with Murdock's brain much.

"Spot on, Mr. Murdock."

"Then why would you want to wake us up from our unaware sleep?" asked Hannibal.

"Wait a minute, I'm the damn lieutenant around here, and I'll ask the damn questions. Now, if you'd let me get to my point, I'd have told you by now. You were 'enlisted' in a new program. Under the charter of the 'Awakened Slumber' project, superior units, or in your case, criminals were placed into cryogenic chambers where you would be frozen until a time where such a danger would arise that you would be needed."

"Ain't that kinda dangerous?" B.A. jumped in. After a glare from Lynch, Lynch continued.

"Of course. That's why we enlisted you. Now under this policy, approved in secret by President Reagan, you are to be granted full pardons from the military...after you complete your mission. I'll wait for the question."

"What is our mission?" Face asked, bored by the obvious question. To his slight surprise, Lynch tossed a few books toward the group. They caught them, and seeing it was a book rather than a dossier, they looked at the titles, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" and lastly, "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire".

"What's the matter with these. They look educational. Ain't we supposed to support educating the children." asked B.A.

"That's just it, they're educating children the wrong way. Rollins, start it up.". A man sitting at the computer nodded and typed a few buttons. The A-Team was perplexed by the device, but kept their mouths shut.

"The stories revolve around a boy named Harry Potter," as a slide of Harry Potter appeared, "who discovers that he is a wizard, and goes to a magic school called Hogwarts." a slide of Hogwarts popped up. "His adventures are all about him going against an evil wizard named Voldemort, who caused massive destruction before he was defeated by Potter when he was a baby." A slide of Voldemort appeared, "The books are written by an author named J.K. Rowling whom everyone believes to be this woman." A picture of J.K. Rowling appeared.

"So what's the matter with that. Can't no one read fiction anymore?" asked B.A.

"There's no problem with fiction Sargent Baracus. However, three years ago, while on a routine flight during a heavy rain storm, one of our U2 spy planes picked up a castle, with multiple heat sources inside." A picture of a gloomy castle, much like the one from the Hogwarts picture appeared. "We initially dismissed it, until we ran along a similar study by the British. They had sent a special agent in to investigate, and is still M.I.A., suspected dead. Now let me ask you gentlemen, does he look familiar?" A side by side of the missing agent and Voldemort appeared, with a striking similarity.

"You're telling me, that this Rowling, is telling the truth?" asked Hannibal skeptically.

"The partial truth, but we believe she is up to a more nefarious plot. The British government officials have been reported dead since the agent went missing. We believe that the 'wizards' are plotting to kill Parliament totally, and God knows what from there. A later U2 was sent to monitor the castle, but was shot down. This last picture it was able to broadcast was this." The slide switched to a man flying a broom and pointing a wand at the camera.

"I'll be a son of a..." began Face.

"We believe Rowling allied, or is a witch herself, and is writing these stories to dismiss these assassinations, and to possibly build support with the young population."

"And this is where we come in." said Hannibal

"Exactly. While we believe this as propaganda, we also believe it to be somewhat true. We do believe in a Harry Potter, and that he is an extremely powerful wizard. We need you to take out Hogwarts once and for all."

"I'm guessing we're going to have no support whatsoever?" asked Face

"Sorry, but any movement of troops would make both congress and the wizards angry. You'll be black ops.

Hannibal exchanged a look with his team and they all had the same look.

"We'll do it. But we're going to need somethings."

"Of course."

"First, four of the best burgers fast food can buy."

---

The lunch had arrived, and everyone dug in to their first meal in 15 years. Everyone except B.A.

"I don't like this Hannibal. This is crazy talk." Hannibal ignored him and continued talking to Lynch.

"Eat your burger B.A. Now we'll need 4 semi-autos, a bunch of clips for them, walkie talkies, rope, a sh*tload of nerve gas,"

Meanwhile, B.A. bit into his burger, a new McDonald's abomination that had been created while he was sleeping. "Mmmm. Something don't taste right." he said before collapsing onto the table.

"and a plane."

---

"Remember the plan! Climb right after we jump. That and the lightning storm should get you past the wizards spell." Hannibal shouted to Murdock over the roar of the engines.

"Don't worry boss, I've got this. They ain't never made a plane Howling Mad Murdock can't fly." Hannibal was still slightly afraid of the wizards capability, but had unwavering faith in Murdock's ability. He walked into the main compartment of the plane.

"Boss, we'd better go now, B.A.'s waking up."

"Send off the weapons, then B.A., you next, and I'll be right behind you." Face did as he was told and pushed the wooden crate of weapons attached to a parachute out the door. Next he walked over to B.A. who was just starting to awaken.

"Wait? What's going on fool?" yelled B.A. seeing the open plane door. Face ignored him and pushed him out.

"Ahhhhhhh! I'm going kill you fools!" he said as his parachute activated. Face and Hannibal soon followed him, and landed on the path to Hogwarts, waiting for Murdock.

---

Murdock did as he was told climbing right to cloud level. As he leveled out, He rummaged through a pile of junk next to him. Finally, after tossing around numerous candy bar wrappers and soda cans, he held up a cassette player. He glanced at the radar, knowing he would have to time this right. 300 meters until the line which made muggles leave Hogwarts, 200 meters, 100 meters, 50 meters. Triumphantly, he pressed the play button as he began to take the behemoth into a 60 degree nosedive. "Flight of the Valkyries" began to blare as Murdock began making the sounds of a submarine diving. His face, of pure demented cheer, would make even Sigmund Freud shiver. With but a hundred feet to go before crashing into the quidditch field bandstands, Murdock leveled out. He then had the poor machine preform a half loop, taking him back towards the castle. Murdock climbed until he was but 50 feet above the tallest spire. As the music reached the crescendo, Murdock laughed hysterically, pushing the red button.

As many wizards and witches looked to the sky, they saw the bottom of the plane open up and thousands of nerve gas canisters falling from it. All of them active. How should they know what those were, they had never encountered them before. Few were able to cast the bubblehead charm in time, and those who were were to weak to move far before collapsing.

---

Harry, Hermione, and Ron were all at the Weasly's house for the winter break when Dobby arrived out of thin air. Fortunately, they were all in Ron's room, and they quickly shut the door.

"Dobby, what's happened?" Harry asked

"Something terrible-hack-Mister Potter. Hack-hack Hogwarts was under attack."

"Oh no, it wasn't Death Eaters was it?" asked Hermione worriedly

"No, Miss-hack-Granger. Muggles."

"Muggles? But I thought Hogwarts had spells to deal with that." stated Ron

"There are exceptions Ron." Hermione said bluntly, "Now what happened."

"Dobby isn't sure Miss Granger. Dobby heard about muggles attacking and then saw gasses enter the kitchen. Dobby came to Mister Potter hoping what to do. Dobby is sorry, Mister Potter. Dobby has failed you." Dobby hacked a few more times, before wailing, and then dieing on Ron's bed. Nerve gas was poisonous to Houseelves. Hermione turned away from Dobby and began to cry.

"They must have found out the plans." Said Ron

"We've got to go back and destroy the plans, they can't have any evidence." Harry said

"No Harry are you kidding me? They probably have a whole army waiting for stragglers." Hermione pleaded

"We have to. Ron do you still have that portkey you snatched from your mum?"

"Aye Harry. It'll take us right outside of Hogwarts' grounds."

"Good."

---

After Murdock parachuted from the plane which he had sent deep into the lake, the team regrouped, B.A. still angry, and began to move toward the castle.

"Boss, comon, we've gotta hurry. There were at least a hundred people in that castle and I don't know how long that nerve gas will hold them off."

The group continued towards the castle, encountering no resistance. Still, they moved quietly so as to not alert any wizard or witch in the forest for an evening stroll. They finally reached the doors opening up to the spiraling, daunting, and evil castle.

"Here take these." said Hannibal, distributing gas masks. The team paused for a second before barging through the door. They were met with stark silence. They wandered through the first hall, not noticing anyone. As they rounded the corner, they found five bodies all fallen against the floor.

"Everyone, rope'em and take them down to the dungeon. They've got a magic proof door we can lock them in."

And so the great movement began. Throughout the entire castle, students and teachers were bonded, then put into the dungeon. The team also hauled plenty of non spoiling food and water from the kitchen to the dungeon.

"Damn Geneva Convention." Said Face, barely viable through boxes of food. Alas, they finally reached there last prisoner, Dumbledore. They roped the unconscious headmaster and he joined the rest. As they cleared Dumbledore out, Murdock noticed some files hanging loose.

"Hey boss," said Murdock, dropping Dumbledore's left foot, now tied to his right, "look at these."

Hannibal picked up one of the files and glanced through.

"My god, these are subway tracks, in New York! They've marked ambush points on these! We've got to get these plans to Lynch."

"That'll have to wait Hannibal. We've got friends." B.A. groaned looking out a window. Hannibal followed B.A.'s eyes and saw three people trudging through the snow, trying to be stealthy but failing miserably (Harry had left his cloak in his dorm.).

"Damn, B.A., you and Murdock get this guy down to the dungeon. Face, common, you and me'll set up our 'playing field' in the dining hall."

Face and Hannibal ran out of the room and dashed to the great hall. There, they began flipping over tables, giving themselves the advantage of cover. After five minutes, they had flipped over all the tables they would need and B.A. and Murdock joined them. The split up, each taking a different part of the room. They knew the routine, and prepared themselves for all hell to break loose when those doors opened.

---

"It's so empty." remarked Ron, glancing around.

"No sign of anyone." Hermione added.

"Keep your wits about you. Something's nearby." Harry finished. They moved stealthily (to them) through the halls before seeing the badly locked great hall. If they had been more cautious, they would have suspected the trap. But as they had been tiring from the constsant fear, they burst through the room. Bullets erupted from seemingly everywhere at them, and they only just managed to duck under a table. The battle was on.

--SO--

It's Hannibal, Face, Murdock, and B.A. all armed with semi-automatics, and knives; who know where Harry and his friends are hiding.

v.s.

Harry, Hermione, and Ron who are under a table and know the rough placement of the soldiers of fortune. They are all armed with their wands. This is Harry, Hermione, and Ron from about the time of winter break from Order of the Phoenix.

You have to forgive me. This is horribly formatted into one massive clump of text. I found it not in its original format, so the paragraphs aren't broken up properly. I wanted to preserve at least one of Caesar Speaks CBUB matches. Lord knows I didn't preserve too many of mine (Except the Tournament of Fighters - crowd favorite).

Hulk v. Dr. Doom

The earth rocked as another explosion rumbled forth, spewing liquid fire and hot, smoldering debris rocketing forth from its deadly epicenter against the nearly impenetrable palace wall.

Location: Doomstadt, Latveria -- Castle Doom

Three more rockets streaked across the red-orange sky, their powerful, twin propulsion guided engines humming ominously over the mountainous landscape as surface emplacements fired round after round of flak shells into the air around them. Two cloudbursts of flak explosions opened up before the passage of the lead rocket, the shrapnel ripping through the thick alloy casing of the smartweapon and severing the guidance system from the rocket propulsion system. Dropping like a stone from the sky, the harmless projectile was quickly engulfed in flak rounds and destroyed while the remaining two held course, shuddering through the line of anti-air and missile defense weaponry and tearing straight toward the mammoth reinforced stone castle.

Below, legions of Latverian soldiers wailed in panic and grief as the high-tech weapons of destruction rocketed ever closer to the palace of their revered lord and master. Too fast for flak rounds and far too close to the castle perimeter for EMP and ballistic anti-missile fire, the outcome of the battle looked bleak indeed to the Latverians frantically scrambling to regroup along the defense perimeter, repelling the voracious advances of the Hungarian troops that had invaded the small nation in conjunction with the renegade Romanian freedom fighter's faction a week ago.

Suddenly, a single form streaked forth from the castle's uppermost parapets to meet the approaching rockets, causing a brief cheer to go up from the Latverians watching before they turned back to their attackers and resumed the bloody fray with redoubled effort and reinforced zeal; the Master had survived! He was to join the battle! Victory was assured!

Swerving before the path of the rockets, the iron-clad monarch sailed over the battlefield, the high-tech weapons closing in on his castle jerking off-course to follow his flightpath, responding just as predicted to the high frequency jamming signal and re-programming route being blasted from his suit's radar array.

Location: Outskirts of Doomstadt, Latveria, twenty miles from the capital district -- Invading Force Forward Command Base

General Anton Constantin, formerly of the Romanian Special Infantry Division High Command, strode forth to admire the beautiful Latverian sunset, ignoring the battle raging not thirty miles distant and hardly noticing the sharp, ratatatatatata of distant machine gun fire over the far ridge.

"Ah, how poetic, eh, men?" The renegade commander asked his communications staff in a pleasant voice. "The suns sets over Latveria; so ends the tyranny of Doom!"

A few men laughed. One man seemed ready to reply when the communications equipment beside him jumped suddenly to life with a sharp crack and hiss of an incoming transmission.

"General Constantin," rumbled a deep, menacing voice from the speaker, hollow of emotion in its delivery yet somehow full of obvious hate. The general's eyes narrowed.

"Doom." He said simply. "Have you called to --"

"-- Negotiate the terms of your immediate surrender." The monarch cut him off.

Constantin, despite himself, could not help but smile. Yes, he had heard of this tyrant and his wily ways, this expert diplomat: truly gifted in the language of the most serpentine of politicians, yet endowed also with the poison of the most vile cobra in military prowess. For seven long years Constantin had contemplated his revenge on this iron-clad monster who had murdered his beloved uncle in the Expansion Wars of the early 60s, when Doom had first come to power, vying with his neighbors, Romania and Hungary, for military and trade dominance in the region.

"Nothing will keep me from my revenge, tyrant," the general growled. "Choose your next words carefully, they are among your last."

No reply was heard over the speakers as the general and his staff stood still, muscles tense in the dying light as the sounds of distant explosions carried faintly over them beyond the pass. The machine gun fire over the ridge had ended, signaling the advance of the attack well into the doomed capital city. A drop of water fell from an overturned canteen to splash lightly into a small puddle in the ground next to the main communications table, the noise of the tiny drip startling the watch officer in the electrified silence.

Beep. Beeep. Beeeep. Beeeeeeep. Beepbeepbeepbeepbee---

The nearest communications officer's head snapped around, his deep-set brown eyes wide in surprise and dawning fear.

"Sir, two missiles, two of ours, are headed right this way!"

One minute later ...

A final explosion rocked the countryside as the ridge disappeared in a cloud of dust and rubble. The caped figure sped away across the open, hilly landscape as the suit's sensors registered what he had already seen with his own two eyes; the rockets had found their mark.

"Surrender accepted, general," Victor Von Doom said, closing the now-dead connection.

Location: New York City, New York, The United States of America -- United Nations Building

"Latveria has not been recognized! This is a closed worksession regarding the trade agreements between the United States and the Eastern European trade-free nations," shouted the speaker, the United States delegate. "Latveria has consistently refused to agree to the Hendermeir-Gorsky free trade pacts, you know this, Doom --"

"You are even now plotting violent acts of insurrection and invasion against my sovereign nation and I will not tolerate such diplomatic blithering a moment longer, Delegate Turnis," came the reply as security officers poured into the room from three different doors, only to stop cold before the wrathful countenance of the world's most feared world leader.

"This talk is nonsense, Doom, and you know it! You understand as well as any of us here the proper channels to go through to file an official complaint with the security council," the U.S. delegate fired back. "Perhaps you would like to file with the secretary to renegotiate your membership standing in the UN Economic Free-Trade Commission, while you're at it?"

"The same commission that has consistently turned its back upon the Latverian "Half-Way Accords"?" Doom demanded. "I offer the United States a three year, five percent reduction in import fees, coupled with ongoing seventy-five percent breaks on imports and exchangeable trade with six of Latveria's closest neighbors, yet I am scoffed as a greedy tyrant while the American delegation consistently demands full pardon from open-ended trades in the Latin American and Caribbean markets?"

The assembled council refused to budge as the security officers tip-toed cautiously toward the back of the furious iron-clad ruler.

"Doom," Turnis began with a firm voice, "I suggest you take up this matter with the appropriate officials --"

"Enough!" Doom roared, scattering the security personnel and causing the few delegates nearest the door to flinch in surprise and fear. "Consider this the resignation of Latveria from the United Nations. If the United States and its puppet allies continue such aggressive and underhanded attacks on my people, you will all face the consequences. This, I swear to you all!"

Turning on a heel, Doom strode from the room, the doors slamming shut behind him as the delegates began an immediate flurry of motion and upset dialogue. Turnis, frowning, made for the side gallery exit, shouldering past a terrified Romanian diplomat and two members of the Ukranian delegation who implored him for his immediate support in petitioning the economic sanction of Latveria.

"Don't be foolish, Yuri," Turnis chided the nearest. "Latveria is completely self-sufficient. We would achieve nothing but in losing face."

Five minutes later, as the commotion of Doom's outburst had ebbed, the tones of the delegates had gradually returned to the matter at hand; negotiating a trade pact between Poland and Serbia. Ten minutes into the ensuing barter over tariff penalties and border tax exemption rites, the U.S. delegate had excused himself from the round-table discussion on the premise of pressing business with the Wakandan delegation in a distant wing of the building.

As Turnis stole from the room, a pair of silver-robed delegates from Symkaria exchanged a quick look before one of them stood and slipped unnoticed from the room by way of an opposite portal, quickly rounding the circular hallway circling the chamber to shadow Turnis's footsteps. He had not long to wait before the U.S. delegate halted, scanned briefly over his shoulder and produced a communications holo-port from his pocket.

"Norman? Can you hear me?" Turnis spoke in a low whisper over the device, fiddling with a dial on the side of the machine before a face suddenly came into focus on the holographic projector platform. "It's Turnis, Mr. Osborn, Doom isn't going for the bait, sir."

"What happened?" Norman Osborn, the new director of SHIELD and current military authority of the UN, snapped.

"He's denied my attempts to get Latveria back to the negotiating table, the trade agreements will be stalled and Latveria will continue to draw sympathy support from other fledgling superpowers against UN popular interest. The New World trade negotiations will never take hold."

"Calm down Turnis," Osborn said, the calm in his voice belying his disturbance. "Let me see to Doom. Do you recall your contingency plan codes?"

Turnis hesitated.

"Goddamnit, Turnis, you weasley moron, what did I tell you when I inducted you into this partnership? How are we supposed to retain security if I'm forced to explain things to you in plain English over an insecure line?"

The Symkarian delegate stiffened as the U.S. delegate again scanned the hallways, missing the spy's face as it darted back around the corner by the merest fraction of an inch. Turnis continued in a low tone.

"Norman, we are alone here, and the threat certainly justifies the risk ..." he began.

"Very well!" Osborn snapped. "You remember the containment facility we've financed in Symkaria? The one beneath the embassy in the capital? That is where Prisoner 666 is being detained. We release him in three days, once the Latverian delegation has completed its withdrawal from the United Nations. The chemical inhibitors will keep Dr. Banner safely subdued while we make the transfer across the border, but I need you to negotiate with the Symkarians the re-opening of their northern border so we can get him safely into Latveria before activating the Green Agent device."

Slowly, the Symkarian diplomat slid down the hallway, making his way carefully back toward the main chamber to report to his immediate superior before they both made their way to the embassy and reported to Mistress Sable what they had heard. The Incredible Hulk, missing for months, was to be set loose upon Latveria in three days' time.

Location: Castle Doom, One day later ...

"Doom?" Called the gentle voice through the fuzz of the long-distance communications relay equipment that crowded the far wall. Slowly, Silver Sable's image flickered into view over the holographic projection plate in the personal viewing chamber of Victor Von Doom, deep within the labyrinth chambers of Castle Doom.

"Madame Sablinova," Doom addressed the beautiful image with a respectful nod, "To what do I owe the pleasure?"

Quickly, without preamble, Sable filled the monarch in on what her agents had overheard from the U.S. delegate's conversations with the insidious puppet-master of the United Nations. She skipped over the details of the Symkarian efforts to blend spies into the diplomatic realm, and glossed the details of the her nation's particular interest into Latverian-themed discussions, but by the end of her hurried discourse, the green-caped, iron-clad ruler of Latveria was silent in thoughtful consideration.

Behind him, a curtain fluttered in the night breeze as the mighty Latverian leader contemplated this latest turn of betrayals and revolutions. Suspicion vied against suspicion as the willful mind of the master planner set into motion, all the while conscious of the weighty threat that faced his homeland. Whether Banner was to attack willingly or under influence of some chemical catalyst, the Incredible Hulk was a formidable opponent, indeed.

When he spoke, the calmness in his tone portrayed the frank suspicion he had ultimately failed to dispel.

"Symkaria has closed its border to Latveria. Consistently you have refused us negotiation and trade," he began, holding up a hand to silence Sable's reflexive response. "Yet now you come to us with information which, if true, will decide the fate of my people and broker the salvation of my rule. Why."

Sable hardly hesitated.

"Symkaria, Victor, does not care to be manipulated by foreign agents," she said. "We do not stand open aggressions in our region, and whenever we can, peace is the most preferable course of action, but in dealing with Norman Osborn and a being such as the Hulk, we thought it prudent to take a side on the issue. It is true we have no great love for Latveria, but the unleashing of a weapons of unimaginable destruction on a close neighbor and ... ally ... is unforgivable."

"Do not patronize me, Sable," Doom retorted. "Symkaria is no more an ally to Doom as a wren to a hawk, but your judgement is sound and your story compelling. I shall investigate closely your claims, but why would Symkaria not simply refuse opening its borders to the U.S. delegation to prevent the whole fiasco?"

Again Sable's reply was immediate.

"They would find some other way, soon enough," she said. "Why risk giving them cause to suspect Symkaria when a simple call to Latveria will suffice for all of our interests?"

"Logical, as always," Doom growled as the transmission ended.

For a moment his eyes lingered over the now deactivated image-projector where the cold eyes of Sable had gazed across at him a moment before. His dark pupils focuses inward rather than out, contemplating still the manifold twists in plans this latest news signified. If Sable was telling the truth, Osborn would be made to pay, of course, diplomatically and on a more ... personal level, as well, Doom thought with grim determination.

Of course, if Sable was telling the truth, there was also Banner to consider ...

Location: 1 Mile over the Latverian-Symkarian Border, Two days later ...

Bruce Banner awoke slowly from the nightmare, his senses immediately detecting motion as his eyes creaked open into the red half-light of ... an airplane? Slowly, a figure came into focus seated on a bench next to him near the side door slide, a soldier, from the looks of him, but covered head-to-toe in light but damage-resistant black armor. As he attempted to turn and address the man, Banner quickly realized he'd been drugged, the muscles in his neck lagging in responsiveness as he turned and managed to croak a single, flat question:

"Where?"

The soldier faced him with a short grunt, the black mask lookingh im up and down quickly before he turned away and hurriedly addressed a supervisor over a helmet-imbedded comm-system. When he turned back, he was hauling the groggy doctor to his feet. It was then that Banner realized his hands and feet were bound in heavy chains.

"Good timing, doc," the soldier shouted at him over the sudden roar of the airplane engine as the side door slid open. "You're about to go for a little trip, and it just wouldn't do for you to hit the ground sleeping!"

A quick, stinging pain bit into Banner's arm, followed by a searing agony as an unknown chemical agent coursed through the limb, making its way rapidly to his center body mass, pumping through his heart to reach the farthest extents of his body as the scientist felt a quick, gut-wrenching surge of ... of ...

"What have you done? You'll kill us all!" He cried, suddenly wide awake as the serum took hold and he felt the change coming on.

The soldier was quick and to the point as he shoved the struggling man through the door and out into the cold, night air.

"Fortunately, we won't be anywhere near you," he screamed over the engine. "Welcome to Latveria, Dr. Banner!"

Flying through the air, the lone figure jerked and twisted as the impossible rage shook through him, triggered to an even more rapid pace by the chemical catalyst introduced in his blood before the deployment. Snapping open, his eyes glowed a sudden bright yellow, then deepened to an eerie lime green.

Location: On the Ground, 30 Miles within the Latverian Border

The earth rocked as first one then a second monstrous green foot thudded into the hard rock surface of the mountainous border region. The sound of high-powered jets screeching off back across the Symkarian border filled the night air as the massive green fingers rubbed briefly at the place on his side where the now discarded, empty dart had pricked his side.

With a low grunt, the behemoth bounded forth over the void nighttime landscape into Latveria, the mindless drive of the radioactive killing-machine pondering continuously the single question of its next footstep, thinking neither beyond nor back in time from each new footstep into the strange, hostile land. The green-hinted haze that was steadily engulfing the creature's vision told it that something was near, something powerful and dangerous.

Another grunt as the massive Hulk leapt clear through a line of solid trees, skimming over a ridge of solid granite, dislodging a fair chunk of it by his impact as he landed with a terrifying roar in the midst of a large, flat, moonlit field. A lone man stood unpreturbed before the unstoppable force as the Hulk reared up to pound his mighty green chest, screaming in uncontrolled rage and passion as the opposing figure took a single step closer to issue a simple greeting.

"Greetings, Dr. Banner," Doom said. "I've been expecting you."

With a surge of energy, the green giant closed the distance between himself and the cloaked villain, a mighty hand swinging forward to snatch the challenger around the waist as Doom's gauntleted right fist darted forward, jamming straight into the Hulk's gaping jaw and unleashing a stinging blast of energy with such force the radiated monster's head snapped back and his eyes flared up with the energy discharge frying his throat and lungs.

Seconds later the teeth snapped down, penetrating the armor and severing Doom's arm as the monarh screamed in agony and rage.

Roaring in defiance, the Hulk hurtled the wounded enemy against a thick tree across the ridge, taking the briefest of opportunities to shake his head and snort in annoyance as the lingering pain of Doom's ill-fated attack was rapidly healed. A quick series of rattling intakes of breath built the goliath beast up into a fresh fit of fury as he lunged the short distance up to the half broken tree and flattened the crippled Doom with a mighty fist to an explosion of sparks as the DoomBot erupted under the incredible force.

Throwing back his head with a savage howl, half of the severed Doombot gripped in one meaty green fist as a trophy, the imposing monster noticed a second late the bright red whips that shot suddenly from beneath his bare feet. Four of the bands shot up to wrap two to each wrist while two more each bound the struggling beast's muscular legs.

Fighting the magic chains, Banner's formidable alter-ego had nearly overpowered the binds on his wrists when a fresh set of strands shot out from the rocky earth, tightening around the beast's throat and yanking the mighty warrior to his knee with choking force.

"I doubt you understand me, Banner," Doom began, emerging in a cloud of green smoke, hoving in the nearby night air as his gauntleted hands directed yet another three magic bands to bind the hulk's midsection. "But I'm afraid you are in for quite a great deal of pain in the next few moments."

With a roar of pain, the green giant redoubled his efforts to free himself from the bands of magic, which now bit hard into his steel-hard flesh, bit-by-bit, now glowing searing red with mystic heat. Doom floated silently to the ground and took to pacing around the helpless green giant.

"I will not lie to you, doctor," Doom continued as the Hulk slowly began to relent under the irresistable force and torture of the chains, "I do not enjoy this. Doom knows full well you are not responsbile for this brash invasion, but are merely a tool in the unworthy hands of an inglorious traitor."

With a sudden grinding the progress of the magic folds halted against the badly burned green flesh. Rocking, Doom felt the immediate counteroffensive of the caged beast against his magical will as the Hulk, impossibly, began to fight back once more, his strength seemingly completely restored despite the debilitating magic. Beneath his hard metal mask, Victor's brow knitted in concentration, then effort as beads of sweat broke out over the dictator's hideously scared visage.

A long swath of rocky earth tore up beneath the Hulk as the savage warrior tore first his right, then his left arm from the snapped red bands, immediately digging his fingers beneath the grip of the straps about his stomach as Doom staggered in pain and gasped for air against the overwhelming fury of the Hulk's surge in power against his magic.

"Im-impossible!" he gasped, leaping to the air as the magic dissipated and the Hulk leapt forth at once to grab at the dictator's cloak, missing it by the smallest fraction of an inch as a weak, final red magic band shot forth and momentarily halted the Hulk's powerful leap.

"Get back here, robot-man!" the Hulk bellowed, the forth of his breath alone causing the nearby trees to shudder.

"Hulk will smash puny tin man!"

"Fool!" Doom bellowed in response, circling the lurking giant from the air above.

"As if I, Victor Von Doom, would sally forth to battle with anything less than certain victory as an outcome! The Burnings Bands of Baal were but a trial with which to test your strength, now you shall feel the full force of Doom's wrath!"

"Too much talk!" Hulk roared.

"Agreed," Doom replied, preparing himself to meet the green goliath's next attack.

This new match definitely deserves a place in this thread.

Odin vs. Hulk

Prologue

The chaos of war plagued the realms thousands of years ago. Asgard and Jotunheim fought through the realms and the worlds around. The battles became legendary and devastating. The warriors of Asgard were powerful warriors, but so were the Frost Giants. Odin, King of Asgard, finally defeated the leader of the Giants. A battle erupted between Odin and Laufey, but Odin was more powerful than any warrior on either side. He defeated the King of the Frost Giants, and thus ended the devastating war. After defeating Laufey, Odin noticed baby under the rubble of Jotunheim. A baby that seemed innocent and did not seem like he was meant for this world. He was small for a baby Frost Giant. Odin took the child from the rubble and adopted him as his own. He called the young boy Loki. At the time, Odin did not know that Loki was not a baby. He was the son of Laufey and he was a child. Laufey disowned him because of his size. He was runt and he severely beaten by his own father. Loki might have been a young child, but he remembered. He remembered what his father did to him, and he remembered the one who murdered his father.

As time passed, Odin lost his eye to Mimir in exchange for the power of wisdom. Odin watched as his sons changed from the closest of allies to the worst of enemies. He had to make decisions that put him into a state of grief. He banished his oldest son, Thor, to Midgard. He was proud when his son proved worthy of his power, and he was proud when his son returned. He did not expect the return to come at the consequence of another looming war. Loki rose an army from the darkest corners of the realms, and marched into Asgard. The King of Asgard was in his Odinsleep, and could not lead his armies. Thor; along with the Warriors Three, Sif, and Balder led the armies of Asgard against the Trickster. After waking up from his Odinsleep, Odin finally learned the truth from his adoptive son. Loki said that he always knew what had happen all those years ago. He declared that one day he would return with an enemy that would prove too much for Thor and maybe too much for Odin himself.

Chapter 1. The Anger inside the Heart

For many years, Bruce Banner had been living in exile. He moved from state to state, trying to find peace. Everywhere he went, something happened that brought out the rage within him. He did whatever he could to keep that rage from overpowering him. He lived in several places; monasteries, churches, and cheap motel rooms. He wanted to live in peace, but he had to keep running. He ran from everyone that seemed suspicious. He knew he could not get caught by the people who wanted to use the rage inside of him as a weapon. If this weapon were to be released, it could be more devastating than any nuclear weapon. After many years of living in exile and running from country to country, Banner had learned how to survive on his own. He had learned how to speak multiple languages, and has learned how to maintain a state of stability. He wakes up every morning and watches as the sun rises. He closes his eyes and reflects back on the days he had spent with Betty. If only she were there now, everything would be much better. He knew he would never be able to see her again. He knew if he did see her, he would be hunted down by the General. That life was gone. Now he lives as a farmer's hand. He does whatever can for whatever pay he can get. In his mind, this will be his life until the days have come for him to lay down and die.

Bruce Banner, now calling himself David, worked on a ranch in South America. The man who own the ranch, Felipe, allowed him to stay in a building on the ranch. Banner did not have to pay rent, but he had to work sun up to sun down. He was given little pay, but he was given free meals. He didn't mind the pay, as long as he got something to eat and a place to live. Felipe was a kind and honest man. He had a nine year old son and a fear year old daughter. He also had a beautiful wife. All of them enjoyed Bruce and they befriended him very quickly. The young boy, Juan, usually went out to ranch to help Banner. He would talk and laugh with the "daddy's ranch help." He always enjoyed talking to David, and Bruce did not mind the company. After several years of running from the rage within him and the General, David finally felt at peace.

It had been several months since Loki had waged war against Asgard. He had traveled across the realms searching for something, something that could defeat Thor. He was searching for something that could even defeat Odin himself. He had finally reached realm of Midgard. "Pitiful.", he said under his breath. "They are all worthless maggots.", he thought as he walked across a busy street. No one noticed the Trickster with long sharp horns over his head, but the Trickster's eyes moved in all directions. He saw people reading newspapers, which spoke of heroes in the world. "Iron Man Stops Major Terror Threat in Middle East". "Spider-Man Saves the Day Again!". There were numerous articles about these "superheroes, but Loki did not care. He knew none of them of go against Thor, and he knew that they did not have the power to take on his brother. Finally, he decided to look in the most secret of places. "Mischief and lies,", he said under his breath with a smile, "I can't believe your keeping this from the world."

As he gazed upon Asgard, he grieved at the thought of having to wage war against his own son. Thor walked over toward his father. Odin glanced back at his oldest son, who had just returned from Midgard. "How is Midgard?", Odin asked even though he already knew that it was safe from harm. "Midgard is safe Father. I searched for Loki, but I could not find him." Thor declared as he stood beside his father. "It hurts me now that we have to fight this war. This war that Loki has plagued his with." Odin said as he closed his eye. "I do not wish to fight my brother, but if the lives of the innocent are threatened. Then we have no choice.", Thor said as he looked out at Asgard. "I know the day will come when Loki will be held accountable for his actions. His mischief and deceit fooled even me. When I banished you from Asgard, I thought Loki would take my place. I was wrong. I was wrong for banishing you. I can't be wrong again. Not for sake of Asgard.", Odin said as he glanced at Thor. "You were right for banishing me Father. I was wreck less and foolish. I was greedy and arrogant, but what you did for me helped me. I am not ready to be king, but I am learning to be as wise as you are now.", Thor replied. Odin put his hand on Thor's shoulder, and replied, "The day is near".

This day was longer than any other. The heat was almost unbearable, but Bruce managed to finish his work. As he was about to put away the supplies, he glanced at Felipe's house. Through the window, he saw a happy family. A family he wished he could of had with Betty. He turned and put the farming equipment away. As he was heading to his house, he fell on his face. He felt a power force of heat behind him. He turned and saw that the house was engulfed in flames. "No!", Bruce yelled as he the house became nothing but fire. The family that he had grown to love was now a pile of burning ash. Helicopters swarmed all around him, and tanks started to appear all over the area. Bruce fell to his knees as he felt the rage burning inside of him. All of a sudden, everything went black.

He woke in an alleyway. At first he didn't know where he was, but he saw a paper that took his breath away. "What?", he said under his breath as his eyes moved in all directions. He saw it before him, the University, in which he used to work. "How can this be?", he said to himself. Suddenly, he saw the woman that had been haunting his heart ever since he left. Betty walked with a group of people into one of the buildings. Bruce started walking away. He looked for any newspaper to see if he had made headline. "How could I have been that thing for this long?", he said under his breath. He tried to remember the last thing that happened to him. "Felipe.", he said. He heard a noise behind him, and turned to see the same military vehicles that destroyed Felipe's house. "No! Please no!", Bruce yelled as he started to run. He heard an angelic voice behind him, and he turned to see Betty looking at him with tears. He stopped, trying to make the decision whether he should return to her or continue running. As he was about to turn around, he saw Betty being crush with debris. "No!", Bruce yelled as he fell to his knees in rage. He saw the images of Iron Man, Ant-Man, Wasp, and another warrior. One that wielded a hammer and a suit that seemed as if it belonged to the middle ages. The world around him started turning dark and everything went black.

Heimdall watched over the bifrost and the nine realms. Heimdall was often called the perfect warrior, because he never left his post. He never stopped fulfilling his duty. "Odinson, you have come to hear news.", Heimdall said as he continued to look out at the bifrost. "I have.", Thor replied as he started walking toward the keeper of the bifrost. "Your brother is full of trickery and mischief. I have not heard or seen anything that resembles Loki.", Heimdall replied. "Father says the day is near.", Thor said with a sigh. "There is a day coming from the horizon. A day that Midgard and Asgard both will need your help. A day that will become your decision.", Heimdall said as he continued to keep watch. "I hope this day does not come.", Thor said. "Hope is a great aspect for a king, but being ready is much greater.", Heimdall replied. Thor left Heimdall and headed to speak with his closest friends.

His eyes moved in all directions, but he did not recognize this place. It did not look anything on Earth. Everything seemed different; the sculptures, the land, and the sky. It was nothing like he was used to seeing everyday. Bruce Banner staggered around, trying to grasp the area, but it was so much different then his home. He heard a voice behind him. A voice he thought was cool and friendly. He turned around and saw a smaller man in the corner of his eyes. "Hello there.", the man said with a smile. "Who are you? Where am I?", Bruce asked as he turned his attention to his surroundings. "I'm just a man like you, and you are on a place called Asgard.", the man said with cheerful smile. "Asgard.", Bruce said under his breath. "Bullshit.", he said in disbelief. "Asgard is very real and you are here now.", the man replied. "Why?", Bruce asked as he turned his attention back to the man. "You, like myself, have been wronged. The love of your life was slaughtered by these heroes that reside on Earth, but one of them is here now. He is the son of Odin. He is Thor.", the man said. "I am not here for revenge. If I loose control, then it could mean bad things.", Bruce replied. "Bad things for who? You deserve your revenge just as much as I do.", the man replied. "And who are you?", Bruce asked. "I am the one who will give you that little push.", the man said with a smile. The man put his hand on Bruce's head, and Bruce fell to his knees. "Let's see the jolly green beast.", the man said as his appearence turned into Loki. Bruce fell over on his side as his body started changing. The rage became unbearable. "Now Hulk! Go unleash hell unto Asgard!", Loki yelled with a cheerful smile.

Several warriors of Asgard stood and fought against the giant, but each one of them stood no match for the beast. It contained an anger and rage that could not be matched. The Warriors Three and Balder came to face the giant, but like their fellow warriors, they proved no match against the creature. Finally, Thor flew from the skies and attacked the beast. The battle was long and brutal. Asgard watched as both powerful warriors stood toe to toe. Thor, with the powers of the storm, fought with all of his strength. As the battled continued, he noticed that the angrier the beast got, the stronger it became. After a long and brutal battle, Thor started to tire. The Hulk knocked him across the land and into a building of Asgard. Thor, trying to regain his strength, pushed himself to his feet. He knew that he could not defeat this beast with it's increasing strength. Thor did not have that kind of power. Thor closed his eyes and summoned what strength he had within him. "I will not stop!", Thor yelled.

A sound came from the distance. A sound that overpowered the roars of the beast. Thor saw Odin in the corner of his eyes. He rode upon his trusted Sleipnirthe. The Hulk turned toward the King of Asgard and let out a powerful roar. "You are not welcome here!", Odin proclaimed as he got off Sleopnirthe. The Hulk started charging toward Odin with all his might, but he was knocked back unto the ground by the Mjolnir. Odin turned toward his son as the Mjolnir came back into his hands. "I will not let you fight my battle, Father!", Thor said with all his strength. "Thor, my son, you have fought well, but it is time for the King of Asgard to protect his people. And his son.", Odin said calmly. Thor fell back as Odin started walking towards the giant. "Are you a tool of Loki?", Odin asked as the giant let out another powerful roar. "By the time this battle is over, you will be at peace.", Odin said as the beast charged toward him once again.

Pokemon and Digimon vs. Marah and Miratrix

Constantly pushed apart by its own internal forces and pulled back together by the force of its own gravity as it turned on its axis, the planet Rock Star was an oddity in the cosmos. Despite having an atmosphere similar to the Earth's, the planet's unstable nature made it unattractive to outsiders and while small plants did fine, native fauna were scare in number. Scientists of various fields had great interest in this natural wonder but to the commoner, the planet was an unremarkable afterthought, mostly remembered for the battle that took place on it between the forces of the invader Pix and the traveling hero Kirby, which was really just a detour on Kirby's campaign against Dark Matter.

But now on Rock Star stirred those with ambition, which if fulfilled would give general consciousness much more to remember the planet by. They came in giant robots called zords, one pink the other purple, and they hauled a trailer behind them. The pilots' appearance was that of strangely dressed, blue eyed young women, thanks to exposure to humans, but by the standards of their species they were teenagers at best.

Marah wore a hat embedded with two blue crystals that resembled the compound eyes of a fly, what looked like a red and purple sleeveless golf shirt, brown shorts, black opera gloves and black boots. Her sister Kapri wore a black hat with spikes on its ends and something resembling a sleeveless, black leather top with pink pants, black opera gloves and black high heeled shoes. Her hair was long, pink and braided into two tails that hung down in the front.

Earlier, on their home base the two had stood before the shadowy figures that were their parents. "How could you betray your uncle?" Dad screamed. "But, he betrayed us first!" Marah cried." "And uncle Kanoi was a fan of power rangers, he was nicer than uncle Lothor!" but dad was not having any of it. "I would have you thrown off this space station if not for your mother!" She also scolded them. "Your acts of goodness bring shame to our family. We sent you to your Lothor uncle this summer to teach you the art of planet conquering, not to uncle Kanoi! I care not for the capture of my sister's husband, but I do care for you working with power rangers, known defenders and heroes! If you are to betray family, make sure it brings you gain and does no favors to the righteous!"

Their mother continued. "You father and I will be going on a raid but you two can't come. I've also removed all the money from your bank accounts. It will not be replaced until I have deemed you evil enough to use it wisely." "We worked hard...I worked hard for my..."Kapri tried to interject "And that is another reason why you will not have it back. I have not worked for anything that couldn't be taken by the force I command." said mom. "And don't go in our room!" added dad.

Capable adults could have demanded their rightful earnings and moved out, but Marah and Kapri were not adults and did not yet have the strength to defy their parents. Still defiance burned within them. Even without money they vowed to cause an atrocity that would put their parent's raiding to shame. Not for pleasure or malice against any potential victims, but for recognition from family. With most people uninterested and its landmarks constantly shifting around the surface, Rock Star seemed as good a place as any to begin their plans without interruption. That it was often telescoped and probed was beyond their consideration and its history was unknown to them. Then there was that about Rock Star which was unknown to almost everybody...

Jumping outside her Zord first was Karpi. Winds blew through the night and whipped up sand in her face. "This was supposed to be good times! I was going to show mom my PAM and all the music I pirated with it. Couldn't you have chosen somewhere warmer and less sandy?" "It’s my Personal Alien Manager too! And we can't waste money on AC or heater. A desert's changing temperature keeps my guppy comfortable for free." called Marah, as she cut her zord's engine. "I don't eat your fish. You keep your hands off PAM. That was our deal." said Kapri, producing a signed contract in one hand and waving it in her sister's direction. " Marah peered out of the zord. "You said that was uncle's birthday card!" she screamed. "And now you know about fine print, I could spend years on what you don't know." Kapri taunted before the contract faded away and she pulled what looked like a cell phone from her pocket. Marah scowled for a second before jumping in front of her sister, kicking up a cloud of sand.

"Gimme!" Marah commanded as she lunged for PAM. Seeing this, Kapri ran away while waving PAM but then Kapri tripped and fell. PAM shook in her hands like it was getting a call and shined brightly, hurting the eyes of the sisters who had gotten used to the night and causing Marah to trip over Kapri. As the two's eyesight returned they panicked, seeing the sand sinking into a crater around them and tried to scramble out of it. "What did you do?" Marah asked. "I Dunno, I didn't mean to." Kapri whimpered. Behind, a necklace with a jewel shot out of the crater, into the sky and let off another blinding flash...which materialized into a gigantic golden eyed owl creature, bigger than either of their 180 ft tall Zords, which now looked distant.

The owl lightly flapped its wings blowing sand all about as it hovered high above the sisters, who looked up at it and hugged each other in terror. It opened its beak and out came a foul smelling rumble. "WHERE AM I?" Marah and Kapri answered it with screams. "UGH..." The owl slowly descended to the sand and shrunk down, changing shape as it did so, now appearing as woman in black and purple yamabusi clothing. She had two sheathed swords on her belt and a knife holstered on her leg. She addressed them again and as she spoke the necklace fell around her neck. "I ask again, where is this? I know you understand me." "W-we don't know...don't eat us!" Marah cried. "I've never stooped so low as to eat another human, but I may have too. Is their more here besides desert?" "I didn't know owls were humans." Kapri whispered. "Wehavestuffinourtraileroverhere!" Marah blurted out and dashed off, leaving Kapri. The woman looked down at the now lone sister. "They're not. It took me long to obtain that power."

Later, in the morning, the sisters had set a table and fixed eggs for their guest in the trailer. "...but don't call me Mira. By the way what is your ''evil'' plan and how do you plan to accomplish it with only two zords?" Miratrix asked. "Well," Marah began "We're making it up as we go along. But we have these to help." Marah and Kapri jumped to their feet, struck a pose and yelled "Kelzaks!"

The three were surrounded by chattering, faceless humanoids holding ruby knives. "We can summon them anywhere we like!" Kapri boasted. Suddenly the sisters ducked as Miratrix punched a Kelzak across the room. "What else ya got?" Miratrix asked. "Um..." Kapri pulled out their Personal Alien Manager. "We can call aliens with PAM." She hit a button and the phone folded out into a console with many alien symbols on it. "We're part of a notorious history of bad guys; most listen to us...hey!" Miratrix snatched it away. "Cute." She walked outside the trailer while plugging in coordinates. "Hey, wait!" The sisters rushed out too, to see she had transported in an army of ice people and reptiles who angry made accusations against each other.

"SILENCE! CHILLERS, LAVA LIZARDS! YOUR MASTERS ARE DEAD! YOU WILL NOW SERVE ME OR BE DESTROYED!" Miratrix called out. "Hey Mira, I didn't know your necklace got cable!" Marah said rushing up. "...US, YOU NOW SERVE US!" Miratrix corrected herself. "And stop calling me Mira!" she directed at the sisters. "Just my full first name, that's all I ask." Miratrix looked at the jewel on her necklace as it showed the image of a boy in a cap palming a red and white ball. "So there are others on this planet. Your first mission will be to bring them to the trailer."

Dawn tended to be pretty wherever, that was no different here, but it seemed to fade away too quickly to be natural. Hilbert adjusted the brim on his cap as he looked out into the sky. This looked too natural for the entralink and too unfamiliar for his region. Meanwhile, Cheren was more focused on the ground. Cheren adjusted his glasses and rubbed his eyes just to make sure he was seeing right. "Anyone familiar with this purple rock?" He called out motioning to the stone he was standing on. The other three could only shrug. "If anyone would know something like that it'd be you. Why?" asked Bianca. She was focused on her reflection in the pond, trying to make sure her hat looked nice but turned away thanks to ripples from Hilda's rock skipping.

"Well I've never seen it, but if I knew what it was and where it naturally occurred we could tell what mountain this is." he answered. "Our Pokémon don't seem familiar with the area, they haven't been able to find establishments and our transceivers aren't getting any signals. Those give you any idea where we are?" Hilda asked, holding a purple rock before skipping it across the pond. "No but there could be poisonous plants or hostile Pokémon or..." Hilda walked up to Cheren and placed her hand on his shoulder. Two days max, we'll be missing persons, we just have to stay on this mountain and wait for pickup. We have Pokémon with us we'll be fine. Relax like they are."

"Eww, don't they know the 80s are over?" Marah asked. She couldn't actually hear the teens the jewel showed her but she could see their clothing clear enough. "They look a little young to even know the 80s." Miratrax mused. "Karpi, hurry up and send the chillizards!" Karpi help up a hand to her sister. "I'm trying, it’s hard to do this on a planet that won't behave. There we go!" "Good, those two should be shot for wearing trucker caps over that hair! And he should be twice for that purse!" Marah said as she glared at Hilbert and Hilda. "Now I want these kids alive, for interrogation." Miratrix reminded her. "Whatever, Karpi gimme PAM!"

A third party was to arrive on Rock Star. The only one arriving with a clue, but still hadn't planned for it. One was dressed in clip off shorts, gloves and goggles loudly colored red and blue. He had thought he was climbing the wall of a canyon, yet the as he pulled he found himself reaching through thin air. He felt he would fall but instead stood on solid ground, completely flat ground at that. The digital world never did make much sense. "I never expected the Death General's land to be so...white." Taiki muttered. "I expected the ''Sun Wheel's'' domain to have some Sun." added a brown haired girl in a purple skirt and white overcoat who carried a small television in her arms. "If you're using artificial light at least make it look sunny, and there are no wheels. Stick to the theme!" Nene continued.

"He retreated, if this was a trap it’s laid far too well for the Bagra army." said a blond haired boy in jeans and a blue jacket. "The general withdrew back to his lord's land where he belongs." Kiriha concluded. "I suppose we could have the entire coalition bombard the area, just to be sure. If nothing else it would keep Bagra inside its borders, maybe force them to give up the crown."

"It’s a wonder he ever became a general." Nene moaned. Her TV giggled. "I wouldn't mind bombarding the area, but I don't see anything but this area." chirped a little blue dragon that was following Kiriha. They all turned around but only saw endless expanse of white flat white ground under endless, empty white sky. "We haven't moved that far, maybe we stumbled into the digital world's debug room?" Taiki guessed. "Taiki, I think I found an enemy!"

They all turned back around again and saw giant woman in white sitting on a throne between four pillars where before was nothing. She held a small pink rabbit digimon in her fingers that tried to squirm away in vain and hovering above her was a cybernetic, three eyed demon with a cannon for its right arm and two navy blue wings. His cannon was pointed at the throne. "Took long enough to find these two, Taiki you should keep them in the xros loader." the giant said. "Are you Apollomon?" Taiki asked nervously. "I hope not, Apollo's a man's name! No I am something beyond your digimon, the empress of good magic. Tell Beelzemon to put down the shotgun, even if I wasn't your ally it wouldn't do anything."

"Release him first." Beelzemon said. "Yeah sure." She dropped the rabbit who Beelzemon caught before swooping next to Taiki defensively. "Truth is, I've been trying to get you kids for days. This planet periodically breaks into pieces." she conjured an image of Rock Star. "These two, Kapri and Marah decide park a camper on it. Incompetents but they found Miratrix, who isn't. They're building an army and I thought you, with your coalition jumping around a fragmented digiworld, would be perfect. Well it turns out this place is outside Bandai's domain, so when I tried to send you the spell automatically called the closest equivalent in THAT domain, Pokémon trainers! I ask for child soldiers, I get cock fighters, go figure."

"Pokemon, what kind of Digimon is that?" Taiki, Nene and Beelzemon all asked at once in different tones. "Different species, accent on the e. Their world’s not at war so they aren't always prepared for it like you. All I ask is that you protect them while you defeat Marah, Kapri and Miratrix. I'll look for a way to send them back and you back to digiworld when you're done." said the empress. "What do I have to gain? Just send those two!" Kiriha protested. "Miratrix will move against Earth if not stopped! I'm doing you a favor too! Now get!" The empress commanded, causing the three generals and their digimon partners to vanish.

The sunrise that had faded was in the sky again, something was definitely off about the passage of time, but he had no time to think about it as he and his friends were being pursued by the chillers, lava lizards and a robotic clown. They had tried to explain themselves, having no idea what wrong was done, but their pursuers seemed past the point of talking.

The trainers were wary to turn their Pokémon on people by habit, not knowing the true nature of the aliens but they hadn't yet adjusted to the high altitude and the terrain was hard to move through. It might need to be done. Hilbert unclipped a red and white ball from the back of his belt and turned to see the pursuers starting to swarm around Bianca. Her dress was not made for running up hill and she tripped. "Reshiram!" he called and threw the ball in the air. Hopefully the legendary dragon would send them running in fear...

"Where did you get that clown?" Kapri asked. "It’s a toy from the machine empire, sounds like scratching a chalk board but since our sound is broke it’s not a problem." Marah answered. "Oh no, I thought coming out here would get us away from this kind of thing!" she said as she saw Hilbert's pokéball release light that formed into a large angelic dragon.

The empty ball bounced and returned to Hilbert, who calmly caught it, putting up a charade of confidence. Bianca looked up in wonder as the chillers backed nervously from her. "Hilbert, when did you get Reshiram?" she asked. The dragon glared down at the Chillers and addressed them. <<You now look upon one who stood in fires that forged Unova! Be gone from my sight or be removed from it by my cosmic flame!>> The voice echoed in all their heads, making them more fearful. "Way too hammy, it’s not supposed to be a comic villain." Cheren muttered. Hilda took the time to scan the ''men'' with her dex, it didn't seem like they had any Pokémon of their own to send out...

Looking down at the dragon on her necklace Miratrix asked. "You have seen this creature before?" "Not exactly, but it looks like a Digimon, they happen when you don't delete your browsing history." Kapri answered before snatching away the Personal Alien Manager from Marah and yelling into it. "What are you idiots doing? Shoot it before it evolves!"

Only a handful of chillers were brave enough to attack Reshiram and were dismayed to see their shots of ice pass harmlessly through the dragon. This shocked all the trainers, who outside of the robot, thought they were just guys in makeup or something. One chiller was so scared that his aim was completely off, missing the large target by a large margin, hitting a rock. <<Owe!>> came the voice again as the dragon slowly faded away and the rock did too, revealing the form of a hunching black fox monster rubbing its snout where it was hit. Hilbert palmed his temples. "Nice try Alicia.” he muttered. <<Why didn’t that work?>> his Zoroark asked.

Seeing the scary dragon fade away into the fox emboldened the chillers, who eagerly rushed to attack Alicia, turning their backs on Bianca. This was a mistake. "Lifeguard! Sparky!" she called. Releasing the large, intimidating dog Stoutland and the cute rodent Raichu. The Chillers shot ice blasts at Alicia as they charged but found the nimble fox monster to be a difficult target. "Lifeguard, help that Zoroark!" Bianca commanded and the Stoutland pressed his paws together, sending strength to Alicia as she slashed the Chillers with her claws. Didn’t work as well as she hoped however. <<Hilbert, these guys don’t seem to bleed>> That may mean poison won't slow them down. Still he called his Crobat. "Joker!" It was risky with ice types around, but if they couldn't keep up with Alicia, they definitely couldn't touch him.

"Gannon! Randy!" Cheren called for his powerful fire type Emboar and crested bird Unfezant. He figured they couldn't do more damage to Gannon than his left overs couldn't repair and Randy, though risky, could heal himself at will. There were no Pokémon centers, so he wanted to cut back on healing items as much as possible. Gannon's fists burned as he punched the Chillers and Randy lashed at the lizards with his talons. "Nightlight, Cyclops, use flame burst and light screen!" Hilda called out her ghostly fire type Chandelure, whose attack quickly spread through the chillers while her psychic Starmie started creating barriers to protect the other Pokémon, and more importantly their trainers, from attacks.

"Oh good, you got rid of that dragon!" The clown robot jumped out from behind a rock. He whirled a cane that sent out a shower of lightning, trying to shock all the trainers, but the electricity was all drawn to Bianca's Raichu. Sparky wasn't too pleased with what the robot tried to do and charged at it, enveloping himself for his volt tackle, which unexpectedly tore through the clown's bot's legs, causing it to fall over and explode and a startled Sparky to run back to Bianca.

"I hope the rest of these are robots too." Hilda said, noting the chillers where being melted by Nightlight and shattered by Gannon's strikes. The Lava lizards where proving more durable but started to retreat after the robot exploded. "To bad those things didn't say why they were attacking, but maybe I was wrong about staying here." Hilda said. "Well, like you pointed out, we didn't find any settlements, where did they come from?" asked Bianca. "They aren't too tough. Maybe we accidentally triggered something in the entralink? Though that wouldn't explain the location, lack of signals or lack of exit." said Cheren.

"Two days and we're on the missing person's list. We could move and meet back here later. But I think I'll send Alicia and Joker to track those who ran off first." Hilbert said. Starmie began sputtering excitedly and darting around in the air. "What's with Cyclops?" Bianca asked. "It thinks it detected a Latios." answered Hilda, but that only got her confused looks. "You know one of the legendary herd?...never mind".

"This isn't going too well. Should we let the troops retreat or call in more?" asked Marah. "Hmm, which one makes him get big again?" Kapri asked in response. "Scroll of empowerment. Don't know if it works on robots though." Marah answered. Kapri muttered as she searched the console. "Scroll of empowerment..."

Joker and Alicia were setting off after the lava lizards when an explosion from their previous battle ground caught their attention. From the smoke arose the clown robot, fully rebuilt about twenty five times larger than before. "Round 2 kiddies!" he taunted. "Oh crap, were did I put grass knot?" Hilbert asked out loud, frantically searching through his bag. Alicia tried to reassure her trainer. <<Don’t worry, I’ll turn his power against him and end this in a single strike!> > The Zoroark sliced her claws through a bolder to psyche up before rushing at the robot, who countered simply by moving his up away from her and then stomping back down. Joker was fast enough to save her from being stepped on and dropped continued to evade the clown’s attempts to kick and swat them. The clown tried blast them both with lightning but even at his new size, Sparky managed to draw the electricity away from his allies.

Not understanding the nature of robots, Cyclops strained to find a mind in the enemy to attack, but its probing picked up something else that caused it to frantically fly around in circles staring skyward. Hilbert was anxious as it was mainly his Pokémon keeping the giant’s attention, they couldn’t dodge forever. “Found it!” he said in relief as he gripped the TM. But Hilda yelled. “Forget that, worse things are coming!” Cyclops flew by him sputtering, and still looking skyward. Bianca was already thinking up an escape plan but this knowledge terrified her. “What’s worse?” “Forget it just move now!”

The trainer’s escape had been made easier because the source of Cyclops’s anxiety had also caught the attention of the robot, its sensors scanning the sky. “Target confirmed all units in range open fire!” “All units not in range advance into it and open fire!” The bot didn’t hear the commands but did see several anti-aircraft missiles flying up toward his position on the mountain.

The area was quickly enveloped in explosions that scattered scorched hunks of rocks and metal and the missiles continued on, joined by shells, mortars, fireballs, plasma bursts and other, more exotic rounds. “Direct hit!” “Good, let it settle and move in for a visual.” “Hold that. Fall back out of the Cyber Launcher’s radius!” A beam of energy shot through the clouds of smoke, piercing into the mountain and causing it to collapse.

“Well you undermined every order I gave, but you only destroyed one mountain this time. We’ll make a general out of you yet.” Nene said to Kiriha. “Target completely destroyed! Movement has been detected beneath the blast sight, the monitamon are requesting permission to dig for worms. “Permission denied! Prepare the Cyber launcher for another shot!” Kiriha barked. “Permission granted! Fall back at any signs of trouble, back up is on its way.” Nene corrected.

Two miles up and about five away, Hilda sat on the back of her flying dragon Salamence. In their effort to get away, Hilda’s cap had blown. Looking at the rising clouds of dust and smoke that arose from where the mountain was, she assumed it was lost but was delighted to see her Starmie wearing it as it floated up to her. She had sent Cyclops to find her friends and Hilbert and Cheren soon flew to her on the backs of large black birds. “I see Drake can do it without an HM.” Cheren said as he eyed the Salamence. The birds were the result of a program uploaded into Joker and Randy. “We couldn’t find Bianca.” Cheren let out. “Cyclops says she made it but is heading back to ground zero.” “What! Why?”

From beneath the smoldering debris arose the head of a large steel serpent and from underneath that crawled out Bianca and Lifeguard. “Thanks Stony!” The Steelix would have blushed at the praise it was possible but became concerned as her trainer and Lifeguard started coughing because all the smoke and dust.

This was soon blown away though by Drake as he hovered overhead with Hilda. Following close behind, Hilbert noticed a sudden loss of light and looked up to see the sky was now at dusk. Something was really wrong here. “Bianca! Why are you here?” Cheren yelled. “Hilda said we should stay put.” was her puzzled answer. “Look, we can’t stay here. The pond’s gone, the river’s been buried. We have to find water.” Hilda explained in the most cheerful tone she could muster. “Okay, but you guys don’t want to fly. Stony’s been tunneling.”

Hilbert jumped off his bird and which shrunk into Joker’s Pokéball and Cheren did the same. Drake just landed and wasn’t recalled, not relying on a program. “Fine, but I don’t trust underground any more than the air.” Hilbert said. Dusk would really be one of the safer times to fly, but given how time flowed here, it likely wouldn’t last. “Alicia!” he called, rereleasing his Zoroark. <<Still want me to track the reptiles?>> she asked. "Is there anything left to track? I want you to keep lookout if something tries to come down..." he trailed off as his attention turned to Lifeguard's low growl, which broke out into fierce barking. Cyclops flew close to its trainer and sputtered.

In the distance they heard something thud like a falling tree and then heavy footsteps. They started to run for the hole but scattered as Stony hissed and slithered out to meet the source of the steps <<These are smaller than the clown. We can take em.>> Alicia said. "You runts running away?" from clouds of smoke they could make out the figure of a large Theropod dinosaur. Lifeguard ran forward to confront it with Stony. Coming clear into view, it was blue Ceratosaur with a helmet. He came face to face with Stony, who was only marginally longer than him. "Oh, this one's a little bigger than I guessed." he laughed.

Normally they would have let their Pokémon distract the enemy, ran to safety and then recalled them. They stuck around because the dinosaur was talking...with its mouth, not telepathy like Alicia. More shapes were in the smoke clouds, a giant metallic crocodile came into view next, then a giant, blue, armored bird with a blond boy riding on its back. They all checked their dex by reflex but none displayed any data. "Yeah they're smaller, but they're still huge!" Hilbert whispered. A tiny, blue dragon ran between the giants and waved to the trainers. The boy just looked down on them.

"Pokemon trainers?" he finally asked. "Yeah, so who are you?" Cheren replied. "Kiriha Aonuma. General of Blue Flare and your babysitter." "This is Mailbirdramon" he patted his ride, "Dracomon", motioning to the small dragon, "Greymon" to the theropod "and Deckerdramon" pointing to the crocodile. "A small but vital part of my army." "General, there is much love between them and their partners. Can you taste it?" Deckerdramon asked. Lifeguard bared her teeth at the crock while walking backwards to his trainer.

"He's younger than us, and a general?" Cheren whispered. "Hey we did see a Latios!" Hilda cried as she saw the shape coming through the smoke, but in clear view "...maybe not." the color was wrong and it was much more mechanical. Two children rode on its back. One pulling goggles from over his eyes when he noticed a break in the smoke.

Then came charging in, a small, red, bipedal reptile with a V on its head holding a retro-style microphone. "YOU WANT TO KNOW DON'T YOU? THEN I'LL TELL YOU!" he cried. "This is Shoutmon of Xros Heart, you'll be hearing this a lot from him." Kiriha sighed. "HEY! I WAS GONNA TELL THEM!" Shoutmon roared. "Hi, I'm Taiki, Xros Heart's general." the boy with the goggles happily greeted. "Behind me is Nene Amano, Xros Heart's other general and hovering with us on it is Sparrowmon."

Sparrowmon's resemblance to eon dragons was something Hilda noted to look into. Hilbert was also jotting down notes in a handbook. "Are they all blankmon?" Bianca asked. "Yeah" Taiki scratched his head. "Lazy programmer I guess." Nene added. Taiki continued with the introductions as yet more Digimon came into the clearing. First a star shaped creature with sun glasses bounced in, surrounded by many bouncing multicolored guitar picks. "Starmon and the Pickmons", a large white wolf, though its fur was now sooty. It had a drill in the middle of its forehead, two on each knee and a large one at the end of its tail. A small pink rabbit rode on its back. "Dorulumon? And Cutemon is the smaller one."

A blue and red robot with the head of a horned beetle. "Ballistamon." And looking up at a falling feather from a winged humanoid. "Beelzemon...and...where are the monitamons?" By now the Pokémon had largely calmed down, but became agitated again as several short men with television moniters for heads came pouring out of Stony’s tunnel and disappeared into the darkness. "The monitamons, our spies and scouts." Nene said. "And this is a Xros loader." She said, holding out what looked like a lavender iPod. "They house our armies, their rations and allow us to travel between between zones." She finished.

"This planet is broken up into pieces you'll need us to cross between. Our mission is to defeat the forces of Miratrix and protect you, any more questions?" Taiki asked. "So these ''mons'' aren't like ours?" Hilbert asked. "We don't know much about Pokemon but Digimon are a different species from a different world." He said.

"I'm Bianca of Nuvema, and this is Hilbert and Cheren, also of Nuvema and she's Hilda of Nimbasa. Pleased to meet you." Bianca curtsied. "We carry the rest our teams in pokéballs. But we only carry six each...you have rations for twenty eight more?" Hilda asked. "Cause we're almost out."

G.I. Joe vs. the Xenomorphs by victim36

Shanghai, China 2000 Hours Local Time

Lian Hao was a short lean old man, a body worn by years on the ocean. His slender arms and slight frame disguised the massive strength of a man who had worked with his hands his whole life. But, Lian wasn't a fisherman, to him the title invoked images of business men and their children standing on a riverbank using bamboo poles and fishing line.

He was an ocean farmer, and that made him part of Chinas lifeblood. There was no drinks or laughs on his boat, he survived only by harvesting the plentiful bounties of the oceans. He lived on the open ocean, its salt coursed through his veins with every beat of his heart. Or at least that's how he preferred to think of it. His father had been an ocean farmer, and his father before him. Lian could go back hundreds of years that way if he wanted to, and he often did, much to the irritation of his wife and son.

Lian had lived a long life, and had watched Shanghai grow from a poor city into a bustling city of flashing lights and skyscrapers. He didn't like it, he liked the old ways. Things were simpler, and people weren't in such a hurry to do absolutely nothing. It seemed, to him, that everyone was rushing around so fast that they missed out on all the important parts of life. Lian stood on the bow of his ship, looking at the flashing neon lights in disgust. He turned away from the lit sky line and shook his head before hanging it low.

As he started to walk towards the cabin of the boat he heard a high pitched whistle. He raised his eyes slowly up towards the black sky over the open ocean. High in the night sky a bright red ball was moving across the black back drop of the universe. Lian watched for a second, reminiscing about how he had watched meteor showers as a child in this very bay.

He stopped in the middle of the thought, realizing how close a meteor would have to be for him to see it through the lights of Shanghai Bay. His eyes blinked several times as his mind tried to grasp what was happening. The bright ball was now the size of his boat, and the whistle had become a roar.

Lian threw himself to the deck instinctively, as the meteor approached. He felt the boat pitch violently to the side as it screamed just a few feet to the side of his boat. There was an enormous explosion behind him, and his boat was thrown back through the water. Sea spray covered the whole ship, and the tail end of his boat disappeared under water for a brief moment.

Lian was violently heaved towards the back of the boat. He tumbled head over heels three times before splashing into the water. Panicked, he grabbed the edge of the boat as the bow splashed back into the water. Kicking his legs furiously he fought to get back into the boat, finally crashing down into wood deck face first. Lian cursed loudly as tried to shake the haze from his mind. Leaning on the back wall of the boat, he worked his legs under his body and steadied himself.

His wife and son were climbing out of the bowels of the ship, but Lian didn't see them. He was staring past them, towards the city he called home. The meteor had smashed through several skyscrapers, causing them to crash down into the streets and on to the smaller buildings below. Lian watched in horror as fires erupted from buildings, and spewed flaming debris all across the water front buildings. Within a half hour the orange and red hue of fire had drowned out all of the bright colors from the remaining neon lights. All Lian Hao could do was sit on his boat and look on in awe.

The Pit, Location Classified Four Weeks Later

Every G.I. Joe on active duty had been called back to the Pit. Most of the Joes grumbled to one another about being called off of mission, or active leave. They knew what it meant; there were only two situations that caused a meeting like this; either to terminate the G.I. Joe program, or to prep for a massive offensive assault.

"Man, you would think they stop this ceremonial crap and just phone it in," Roadblock muttered to himself.

"They do it so we can all enjoy your sunny attitude one last time," Flint yelled from behind.

"Ha ha ha, real funny man," Roadblock snapped back.

"Are you two done flirting? I guess we could wait for one of you to ask the other one to dinner. However, I would love to get through this quickly. If that's alright of course," Duke said, his voice covering the open expanse of the main floor. Roadblock and Flint closed their mouths and stared up towards the front of the congregation.

Duke stood on a cat walk a several feet over the heads of his team. His face was somber and dark circles hung under his eyes. Blonde stubble gave him an aged look, leaving most to agree that the similarities between Duke and General Hawk were shocking. And, normally most would have chuckled about it; a few would have even made a joke at Duke's expense. But, there was something different about today. The tension that rolled off of Duke was almost visible, and it had an edge reserved for nothing short of all out war.

"Spirit when was the last time you saw Duke like that," Stalker said keeping his voice low.

"Chicago," Spirit answered dryly.

Stalker nodded, trying to fight off the cold chill working its way up his spine.

Duke picked up a remote, and gently pushed one of the buttons. A satellite image of Shanghai burning appeared behind him. "Shanghai at 2055 hours nearly four weeks ago," he said and then hit another button. A new satellite image showed up, it was a city covered in a black substance with thousands of light green lines crisscrossing throughout the sprawling metropolis. "This is Shanghai at 1200 hours three weeks ago, and these are images of most major cities in eastern Asia," Duke growled as he flipped through several more images that looked more and more alien and desolate than the one before it.

"What is that stuff," Scarlett after the fifth picture sprung up on the viewing screen.

"We have absolutely no idea. As you may know the Chinese government denied relief efforts to Shanghai as a matter of national security. Vietnam, Korea, Burma, Loas, and Cambodia all followed suit when we started getting similar images from them. However, once it crossed over the Thailand border we were finally given the green light by their government officials. Two days after the go ahead we had a team touch down in Bangkok. They reported these images before we lost contact," Duke answered in a stiff tone.

He flipped to the new images; these were done by a helmet mounted camera. The black substance covered everything; the walls, the roofs, the signs, the streets, and even the vehicles parked on road. The light green lines were much clearer, and looked more translucent than in the satellite images. Everything had a wet shine to it.

"God it looks wet, like it's the inside of something," Roadblock said loudly.

Duke stopped flipping through the images, "The military scientists think it comes from some sort of life form. Similar to what bees, ants, and termites do. They think that this substance is a hive made from the secretions by whatever was on the space debris."

"Life forms? Are we talking about aliens Duke," Kamakura asked trying to laugh as he said it. His laugh came out choked and weak at the end.

Duke merely flicked to the next picture in the sequence. The image of a wall showed up, it was black and twisted from the caprice on it. The next image highlighted the center of the image. It showed a tightly coiled series of lines. Duke went to the next image. The image in the middle was moving; a tail with a spear-like tip on the end was swinging wide, a long tube like head was turned towards the camera, long teeth filled a mouth on an eyeless face, four long cylinders protruded from its back, and two arms and legs moved across the wall.

"That's the last image we have. We lost the vital signals on all twelve squad members less than a minute later. All Joes have been activated for the follow up mission. We will be leaving for Bangkok, Thailand at 0400 hrs tomorrow morning. We should be setting foot in the city at 0600 hrs local time the day after tomorrow," Duke said as turned off the projector.

"Snake-eyes and Storm Shadow, I'm hoping that the Red Ninjas could provide some backup," Duke said finding both ninjas in the crowd.

"We will let them know immediately," Storm Shadow said while Snake-eyes nodded his head slightly.

"That's it then. You will all be fully briefed in the air tomorrow. So check your gear, pack your bags, and get some rest. You're going to need it, I can promise you that," Duke said with a somber smirk before making his way off of the catwalk.

South China Sea, Outside Bangkok Harbor, Thailand 0530 Hours Local Time

The whine of engines starting filled the air on the deck of the USS Ronald Reagan. Three Boeing HH-47's were coming to life in the middle of the Aircraft Carrier. In moments the whine had turned into a roar and the G.I. Joes all filed into the helicopters enormous cargo space; giving each soldier plenty of room to sit, and even more room for them to store their equipment. In less then five minutes the gigantic machines lifted off of the ship and started the short flight to the landing zone just inside Bangkok. The helicopters kept low to the water, trying to stay as close to the ocean as possible.

As the helicopters started to drop to the sea, the USS Ronald Reagan opened fire on the city. It unleashed all of its firepower towards the landing zone. Heavy artillery rounds smashed into buildings and streets, sending debris speeding through the air. Several volleys of missiles pounded the area surrounding the landing zone, trying to help guarantee a safe start to the mission.

The soldiers watched the ensuing destruction from the helicopters. They yelled out in joy as artillery rounds destroyed buildings. They celebrated as the missiles cleared blocks of buildings with each explosion. Some quoted war movies, some made jokes, but most were caught up in the excitement.

As they approached the landing zone they all grabbed their guns and equipment and prepared for the rapid deployment. The HH-47's couldn't touch down, due to the rubble and debris from the bombardment. So they hovered low over the ground, and the soldiers were forced to jump down the last five feet themselves. Some of them tripped and stumbled, some of the found themselves lying flat on the broken street from a misjudged jump, but most made it to the ground without hassle or injury. Within three minutes all 120 soldiers were safely on the ground and the helicopters were pulling back up into the air to head home.

"Squads form up. Check your gear, and quiet down. I do not want to be standing here all day. Do you understand me," Duke shouted into a megaphone. An immediate and enthusiastic "Yes, Sir!" came crashing back to him. Squad leaders quickly formed their ranks, and the soldiers double checked their weapons and equipment. Duke looked down at his watch.

"0606 hours. Not bad for using regular military," Stalker said as he approached Duke. "Yeah, it wasn't too bad. Shame that was the easiest part of this whole thing," Duke replied. "True, but the rest of it is all on us," Stalker said, smiling while he patted Duke on the shoulder. Duke looked over the four squads of thirty men; they had already separated into their fifteen man fire squads. All battle hardened and experienced, Duke had no doubts about their ability. He just hoped it was enough.

A loud piercing screech broke the silence; it was quickly followed by three more. Then as quickly as it had started the noise stopped. "Guess it was too much to ask for them all to be dead already," Flint said with a chuckle. "Get ready boys, here they come," Duke shouted as loud as his lungs would let him.

The Joes scanned the buildings, the streets, but there was nothing to see. Then they heard a low hissing sound. The sound grew, spreading from in front of them, moving to their flanks quickly. The sound grew until it was louder than the helicopters had been, and then it too suddenly stopped.

"They're screwing with us," Roadblock yelled. Then the Joes watched the shadows start moving in the buildings. Forms began to take shape on the walls and roofs of the buildings. Creatures began to pull themselves out of the drainage systems. In seconds hundreds of aliens creatures crawled over every surface in sight. "Well boys I think this is a close to an invitation as we are going to get," Roadblock screamed a second before opening fire on the massive black swarm.

Marvel Man vs The Wii By Marvel Man

It all started one very very early day, as Marvel Man awaited the Wii's release along with four other people at his local K-Mart. It was about 3 AM, and Marvel Man's iron will was faltering, specially since he hadn't brought any food or sleeping bag. The other four guys were hardcore Nintendo fans and had obviously camped out for a game before. When the store manager came out and told them they would only receive 3 Wiis, Marvel Man did not know that this machine and him would clash many more times in the future. Angered, Marvel Man quickly raced off to his local Best Buy, and once again camped outside along other gamers. He bought the Wii that day. He was happy.

MM then did what everyone with a Wii does. He made a Mii for everyone he had ever known. He played Wii Sports like a crazed person. He played Wii sports against anyone and everyone who would take him on.

And then it hit.

The slump.

Fast forward several months, and Marvel Man is playing Star Wars: Battlefront II on his now antique/obsolete Playstation 2. The Wii stands by on the floor, glaring at him with all its power. It could not play DVDs. It couldn't read his camera's SD card. It had tricked him into paying for an Internet channel that didn't have Flash, was impossible to write on, and ran an Opera browser. Have you ever tried to write a web adress on the Wii? You literally have to point at each individual letter with a shaky Wiimote, making it nearly impossible to go to electricferret.com. And posting a comment?! Are you nuts?

Anyways, the Wii would soon redeem itself with one game. No, not Mario Kart, which although enjoyable, came with a wheel thing that was only fun to use for the first five minutes. It wasn't Super Mario Strikers: Charged, which was fun, but lacked any real challenge. It was Super Smash Bros! For once, Marvel Man was pleased with the Wii. The Wii was allowed back on the videogame shelf, and the Playstation 2 was returned to the basement.

Later, after winning the game with every character, unlocking all those trophies, beating all the challenges (even the insane, baseball bat/punching bag ones), and having listened to all those music CDs, Marvel Man was finally ready to school people online.

What he found sickened him.

It was terrible. Everyone was just terrible. Not only that, but the phrases people used were ridiculous and sad. Marvel Man shut off the Wii and went downstairs for the PS2.

Nowadays, Marvel Man and the Wii continue to feud. Marvel Man uses the Wii to watch movies on Netflix when he doesn't feel like turning on his computer. The Wii retaliates by not having any good games.

And so the war continues. Marvel Man is once again tempted by Nintendo, but this Wii U looks ridiculous. Do I have to buy more of those things if I want to play multiplayer? Why would I even buy it? Shouldn't I just get an X-Box 360?

Heh. That was a fine set up indeed, but not exactly meant for this thread. I wish to make it onto this thread someday, but not with that one. Thanks anyways.

MARVANOTE: Oh great Admins! I call upon your power to make it as it was before!

I call credit for the idea.

Again, I'm sorry I didn't have a chance to place this one in earlier. It might have to be awhile before another one of your stories gets placed here, Buzz, as I feel in your case we'll have to raise the standards. <_>

Devil Monkey vs Jesus Christ (The Godyssey) by Buzz Line

He came in many forms, went by many names, and had many calling cards. Too many for most to keep up with. Most didn't even bother, pushing him out of place and out of mind, due to sheer unbelief, denial or faith in protection from him. It did little good though. The unbelievers, they didn't have to believe it was the devil that stalked them. They just needed to know it was bad. To those in denial, who just believed it to be some kind of undocumented animal, it was the worst thing to ever come out of nature. To the faithful, their souls would know the joy of paradise, but their bodies would know the pain of death because sin still needed punishment, repentance or not.

Standing in the valley of the apocalypse however was one man who had all of the devil's tricks memorized, not that he really needed to. He could see right through them all even with his eyelids down, but couldn't help but remember. To the short lived, the devil's powers seemed unlimited. To the everlasting, he seemed like a tv show in re-runs.

"I remember, our first formal meeting, son of man." the Devil addressed him. "Yes through that time in the wilderness, the temptations." Jesus answered. "Make food from stones, as if I would be worried about a temporary body I could sustain eternally with no more than my will if I chose. Call the angels who are beneath me? You'd offer me all the kingdoms under the sun, even though they are already mine." "No, you're wrong!" The Devil snapped! "This is my world! Mine! Your father let me stay here! If I can't be in paradise I should at least have one island home in all the vastness of space!" "My father allowed you to believe so, but never declared it. And you were never content to just have Earth." Jesus said, before the scene went to a flashback.

--------

It was the first year before AD. Year Zero or Year One depending on which historian you talked to. Jesus could tolerate the taunts of the Romans, and the Jews. They knew not what they were doing. When the 'gods' of Olympus thought to openly taunt him however, Jesus could no longer stay on his cross. His descent was swift and his punishment was swift. Still, he was not completely merciless. It made no sense why they would do such a thing. No, he would lay the true punishment on the perpetrator. "Come face me Satan!" he quietly but assertively said.

The voice of the devil was in the wind as it swirled around the son of man. "No, I will not dirty my hands on this day." the winds gathered into one place and took the form of a purple humanoid who looked suspiciously like Devil Kazuya from Tekken. "But he will face you. My greatest servant on Earth, a testament to the weakness of man! He will kill you here, the sacrifice of your life will therefore be incomplete, and man will have to live with his sin forever! Muhahahaha!" "NEVER!" Jesus defiantly yelled.

----------

"Yeah, you won that fight pretty handily." the Devil admitted. "You were in human form. My kids were bold enough to talk to you then, I thought surely the idols of man could defeat you. Then I tried to do my empowered man thing. No I wasn't just happy to have Earth, I wanted to make man suffer! I had been a scape goat for so long, it had to be by man's hand that he was denied redemption!" The Devil ranted. "But you have laid your hands on me, and still failed." Jesus reminded him. "Yeah, you consented to that, you called me!" The Devil argued. "It was for charity." Jesus justified. "I was proving you were capable of doing good Satan."

------------

It was now in Madison Square Garden, 2007. "Only Wrestlemania could bring you a spectacle as big as Jesus Christ vs The Devil." Jim Ross bellowed from the announcing table. "Will good overcome evil? Or will evil prevail because good is dumb?" His partner Jerry Lawler joked.

------------

"Psh, I only agreed to donate if I lost. I was going to get Hulk Hogan's soul if I won. That goody 'train hard, eat your vitamins, say your prayers, be true to you country', you ruined it! Satan helped end global warming read the papers!" the Devil stopped to catch his breath then went on. "Its your fault people call me Satan you know, knowing damn well Satan is a choir of angels I haven't been a part of since I fell. Lucifer? You were once called Lucifer too. I was an angel! A flashlight could be a Lucifer! The Muslims think I'm some kind of Dijinni! "Even the Jews who worshiped the longest mistake me for that nothing Samael sometimes! And stealing souls, I never even got to do that even though everyone claims I do it all the time, Hulk Hogan was my chance, you ruined it! I'll never forgive that!" The Devil panted.

"But did you ever stop to think why I would still call you Satan?" Jesus asked. "Did you ever think why I would show you could still do good and prevent you from taking a soul?" The Devil scratched his chin in thought, then looked horrified. "You mean you want me to repent? You want me to become a Satan again? You want me to fly around with the Ophanim singing praises to his most high!" "It took you 2012 years to understand Satan, but its not too late." Jesus said.

"Nonononono, I won't sing the lord's praises while man still walks around with woman spreading nasty juices all over my precious planet! Get rid of man and maybe I'll come back. I've got all kinds of ideas for replacements." The Devil deviously grinned. "Man was made in the image of God, and woman in the image of man and therefore also in God's. One cannot love God without loving man!" "But the image is flawed, its like a reflection in a glass of water outside on a rainy day!" The Devil argued.

Jesus sighed. "Satan, your time is slipping away. We stand in Megiddo. If you do not repent here then the apocalypse will come. The Earth you love so much more than its inhabitants will be destroyed and you will be tossed into a river of fire, and then sufferer with all the other unrepentant angels in the bottomless pit when the flames have finished with you." The Devil thought it over, he really didn't want to spend the rest of eternity in the bottomless pit, but if he kept rebelling, that meant more human souls would likely end up in hell. Sure, it wasn't much but..."Hey Jesus, a lot of people actually think I have some sort of power over hell. Can I get that for real, and like be a hell boss?" he asked. "No." was Jesus's answer. >

------

Just the facts.

*Revelation reveals that there is a bottomless pit in some part of creation that imprisons great evil. Since the Devil was not banished there, this implies he may not be the greatest evil to ever exist. Dinosaur comics depict the Devil as a small time loser.

*Satan was originally a general term in Hebrew for prosecuting attorney. It was only later that the term became associated with evil. Some scholars believe Satan is actually God's lawyer and the two play good cop bad cop on the whole universe. Others believe that being a lawyer is an inherently evil profession and that the name became associated with the devil to reflect this.

*Satan does not rule Hell according to the scriptures of Abraham's religions and any time he spends there is just as much punishment for him as it is for a human soul.

*Lucifer was originally a general term for people who seemed to glow. It was only later it became a term associated mostly with the Devil.

*There are about five billions different names and physical descriptions for the Devil across many different cultures. He was once played by Julie Newmar.

*Unlike Christianity, Islam believes that the Devil is a Dijinni, those things that come out of lamps, and not a fallen angel. They also believe God will forgive him eventually.

*Mark Twain once said that the Devil needed our prayers more than anyone.
