  1. Been a little preoccupied the last week or two but I'm hyped for this!
  2. ^This. Either one of these guys could do this in their sleep. Honestly there's no number of generic mafia/gangster/criminal guys I'd ever vote for over the Punisher or Batman's angrier, more murderous dad in pretty much any scenario. If we were talking some of the more memorable mafioso characters from movies or TV or whatever else then you could make the case for pitting their own characterized savviness against a situation where they have to survive a hit from Punisher or evil Batman or whoever, but as is yeah...
  3. Every time I go to open the character submission page every major release over the last seven years across any medium deserts my brain. Will probably keep adding and using RWBY characters on a per-match basis tho. Surely if I jog my memory hard enough eventually at least one other modern interest HAS to shake loose????
  4. It's as good as or a bit better than Deathstroke's at best tho, Laura's is still far better than that
  5. If both these sharks became part of the Sharknado would that be fucked up or what?
  6. Eh, not to cop out but I'm not really too swayed. We can agree to disagree though.
  7. Hahaha, Jason lamenting his back issues losses is hilarious. Good job man. Satan beats Jason's ass. It's a hilarious mental image but the dude's legit when he's not being upstaged by the Z Fighters, look at this guy. I know he gets shot but still! He moves faster than that guy can see!
  8. Just saw this, man that's a scary thought for the warsies. I'm not too sure which way to vote, part of me thinks they could stop the tide of angels once they become wise to their tricks and figure out what needs to be done to coral them, but then again we still know so little about what the angels are capable of really (especially as an invasion force). If they start setting up weird paradox reliant stuff in the SW verse like the hotel they had in New York then shit could go real south. How would the Force interact with angels I wonder? If Luke or someone were 'seeing' (more perceiving) them using it but not directly looking would they still freeze? Would he be able to track their movements if no? I genuinely have no idea. Dig the concept and setup either way.
  9. Immortal Hulk is AMAZING. I honestly think it's my favorite take on the character since Fixit himself. Might look into adding that incarnation to the database actually...
  10. They do suck ass in fairness. I just like sites that provide a 'flat' perspective of character abilities across different works and settings, if you get me, since individual wikias tend to go into the mechanics of the world and such a bit too much. I used to check a better one called OBD but I think it got nuked, you know any?
  11. Thanks guys! I was basically just staring at the recently added list trying to come up with a match and it came to me to do something where I incorporated all of them as cameos, haha. I kinda wrote the whole thing around that. Might do more with the premise of Khazan opening up after a long time and trying to process this whole backlog of new arrivals, we'll see. Honestly I thought the last season was one of the best, would hella recommend. Yang takes kind of a backseat in it which is a bummer but she still gets some good showings in (there's this one lady strong enough to flip an elephant Grimm absurdly high into the air and later on Yang both trades blows with and gets the better of her, on top of being the one that kills the aforementioned elephant ultimately). Definitely figured most versions of Hulk would be too much for her so I was torn between the MCU version and Fixit, decided on the latter in the end cuz he's got a pretty stellar fight record and I liked the idea of doing an old guard vs new guard type deal. Thanks for commenting!
  12. Yang Xiao Long was not having a good day. Granted, that had been the case even before whatever the heck all this was. Last thing she remembered, pretty much one of the worst days in the entire history of Remnant had been in full swing, with her and her fellow intrepid heroes having been declared enemies of the state by a guy neck-deep in probably the worst midlife crisis in recorded history. That had been pretty bad. Even worse had been the tidal wave of oncoming darkness that appeared over the horizon in the immediate aftermath, bent on swallowing up the most densely-populated of all the known kingdoms in a storm of violence and evil. Even as something of an optimist herself, she would've considered it fair to say she wasn't exactly left in the most optimistic of headspaces. But this? This took the cake. As terrible and bleak as they had been, those were the last recollections in her mind that made any kind of rational sense. Everything was just a blank after that, and the next thing she knew she found herself in the middle of, of all things, some kind of... waiting room? One with a line. A long one, at that. Given her storied history of anger issues and a distinct absence of every single one of the people who helped ground her through them, suffice to say she wasn't exactly having much luck finding her zen. "WHAT IS HAPPENING?! LISTEN, IF YOU DON'T TELL ME WHERE MY FRIENDS ARE IN THE NEXT FIVE SECONDS I'M GONNA—!" The terrified attendant she was holding a foot or so off the ground by his collar waved his hands in a placating fashion, to little effect. "M-M-Miss, please, if you just watch your introductory video package-" "I WATCHED YOUR STUPID VIDEO! How's that supposed to make any of this okay?! You seriously expect me to believe I'm FAKE or something? What the hell is a 'Khazan' even supposed to be?" Not far from the commotion, two of the hapless man's co-workers were observing their friend's misfortune with leery expressions, murmuring to one another out of the corner of their lips so as not to draw any of the woman's ire themselves. "Sheesh, there's always so much drama with these anime types." "Technically she's from an anime-inspired web cartoon." "Shut the fuck up. Where the hell did our block's security go, anyway? Shouldn't Fixit be, y'know... fixing it?" "Smoke break. He shouldn't be much longer." "W-well... what about Callisto?" "Drinking in her office." "Shit, again?" "And who're all these... these FREAKS?!" She gestured wildly behind her in the direction of the rest of the queue using her free arm, the faint whirr of servos audible from its bionic design. The line was piled up all the way out of the room and into the next one, her own placement surrounded by just about the most bizarre, eclectic group of individuals she'd ever laid eyes on, pretty much all of whom were about as confused or frustrated as she was. Most were giving the scene a wide berth, while some didn't seem too concerned at all. Three rougher men were grouped together the farthest away from the disturbance, two middle-aged and one considerably younger; the other two seemed to be trying to discourage their balding, aggressive friend from getting involved in the violence himself, though from the wild look in his eye they were having little luck. Some kind of huge, musclebound alien wearing red-and-black spandex was ignoring the commotion altogether, stance powerful and arms crossed as he calmly occupied his space in line, easily mistakable for a statue, while two bishy anime boys hovered on the fringes, trying to stay as uninvolved as possible. The only one to react to the insult proper was the one who somehow looked more out-of-place than anybody, a skinny guy wearing a cape and rubber gloves whose head shined like a freshly polished mirror. "Hey, that's kinda rude." She whirled on him, eyes a molten red that glared into his very heart and soul. He didn't seem very intimidated, which only incensed her further. "What, you wanna go too?!" "I mean, we're in the same boat here, but if you won't calm down we might have to. I wouldn't say I want to, though. No offense, but none of you guys seem like you'd be all that much of a challenge. 'Cept maybe this dude," he added, thumbing over at the stoic alien. Jiren didn't move, though one eye cracked open to size up the man who challenged him before he closed it again without a word, unimpressed. He didn't even sense any ki from him. "I get this is all pretty weird, but can't you just relax and let him explain before things get out of hand?" Yang growled in frustration, seeming to see the merit in the baldy's words, though she didn't release the attendant just yet. He nodded eagerly, waving his hands once more. "T-Thank you, sir. Like I keep saying, we're terribly sorry for the wait, but the Khazan Naturalization and Immigration Bureau is experiencing an unprecedented influx of new arrivals currently! So many new canons have gained prominence in the seven years since we closed our borders! It's insane! We're doing the best we can, but my colleagues and I are swamped, and with the security breach that closed us to begin with requiring so many new protocols-" The onslaught of history and buzzwords did little to soothe the temperamental huntress, and there was a more desperate ring to her aggression as she cut across him again with another, albeit less vigorous, shake of his collar. "I don't care! I don't care about ANY of that! I don't even get what you're saying! Ruby Rose, Blake Belladonna, and Weiss Schnee. THOSE are my friends' names. I wanna see them, I don't care about my place in line! Just... just take me to them!" Sensing her beginning to calm, the attendant's eyes widened further. "Miss, please, I understand, but if they haven't been processed yet then there's no way of telling how far back they might be! It could be miles! Once you've all been cleared for entry I assure you they should be easy to find, but right now violence doesn't help—" That was when one of the two criminal types trying to herd their mangy friend in the corner gave a shout, a paunchy but rugged-seeming man pushing fifty. "Ey, ey, Trev NAW-" The scary one shoved free of the other two's grip, eyes flared wide with impatience and bloodlust. "NAH, THE BIMBO'S RIGHT! LET'S GO FUCKIN' CRAZY, MICHAEL! YEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-" He didn't have the patience for bureaucracy, anyway. He pulled out an uzi and ran into the thick of it, tearing up the furnishings in the waiting room in a hail of chaotic bullets. The more durable of the characters present, like the alien and baldy, just stood there placidly and allowed the rounds to ping off them, while most of the line and the attendants present screamed and went scrambling for cover as Los Santos's own Trevor Philips whooped with malicious glee. That was when Yang punched him so hard he defied physics, bouncing several times off the room's carpet and tiled ceiling before he disappeared through a window and plunged towards the Khazan streets far below. WASTED 'Bimbo'. Seriously. She blinked when she saw blood on her metallic knuckles, wiping it off and shooting his two friends a worried look. "Um... is he gonna be okay? He felt... squishy..." The one called Michael, though mortified, waved off her concern. "Ahh, he'll be fine. This stuff happens to us all the time, right Frank?" His friend nodded, glancing down as a distracting buzzing from his pocket caught his attention and he fished his phone out. "Yeah. Shit, that's him now. Fool probably wants us to pick him up from the hospital or some shit." "Eh. Don't answer it." Yang huffed, a mixture of relief and the frustration continuing to gnaw at her insides. At least she'd been given something to work it out on, but she still— Her train of thought was quite literally punched out of her skull as a massive, grey fist collided with it, giving her the chance to experience what it was like to be the one on the receiving end of being flung across the room for once as she crashed through some furniture and found herself embedded in the room's back wall, dazed. What had once been a line of soon-to-be Khazan citizens once again turned into a panicked mob as it stampeded all the way back to the other end of the room again, though the bald guy and alien still held onto their place in the queue and just accepted they were a part of events at this point. The titanic blow's perpetrator calmly waded through the throng of panicking migrants and cracked his knuckles. He was huge, he'd been doing this a long time, and he was getting real tired of all these upstarts causing scenes and kicking up a fuss. That wasn't how they did it back in his day. Especially when he was on shift. Fixit flicked his fedora off and rolled his tree trunk neck out to either side, grimacing at the stiffness of his joints and dual pops that sounded with each motion. The grey-skinned titan glanced over at the attendant little miss hothead had been manhandling, lips parting in a questioning grunt. "I hit the right blonde, right?" The worker nodded, pale skin reflection the apprehension he felt toward the way all this was going at this point. Things usually settled down after Fixit knocked some sense into the less accepting among their glorious city's new arrivals, but from the snarl etched into the face of the young woman already fishing herself out of the rubble he was concerned they might've been in for something a little more sustained. "Oh YEAH?!" She yelled, honestly grateful for the opportunity to work out her rage on something a little meatier as she climbed out of the crater he'd left her in. Big, ugly monster guy. Sure, whatever. She could do that. Her eyes were a flaming crimson by this point, and her thick blanket of hair was already shimmering with waves of fiery energy at the sheer amount of energy she'd taken in from that one blow, feeling the strength course through her body and dropping into a stance. "Ooh. You're mad," came Fixit's slow, condescending drawl, the sight bringing a savage grin to his face as he held out his arms to either side and waited for her to come. "Cute." --- Weakest but most cunning version of the Hulk vs strongest but angriest of team RWBY. Win by KO, BFR or pacification. Go. Most people prolly know the score with Fixit, but here's a listing of basically all Yang's showings if anyone needs em. I have no idea why it says nsfw, there's nothing raunchy on there. Idk how many people here know RWBY if any at all but nyeh, these are still fun to write.
  13. Fair. Seems pretty even then tbh, I'll reserve voting pending further research
  14. Cool match Mark. So um, I'm not the most knowledgeable on JoJo (and honestly I never will be) but based on what I just read from Dio's vsbattles page he gets completely destroyed. Honestly Accelerator's hax vector redirection is so all-encompassing I'm not even sure he'd be affected by the time stop bc he's pretty much always been depicted as being able to no-sell whatever weird magic shit gets thrown at him too, even though his powers are rooted in science. I think the idea is that pretty much everything that can affect another living organism has a vector of some kind. The setup obviously specifies differently tho, but unless I'm missing something Dio still has absolutely nothing going for him that can actually hurt Accelerator (his reflection effect is passive so being time stopped won't prevent it from functioning), meanwhile Accelerator can just flick his finger at Dio and paste him. It's pretty one-sided honestly. Their vs battles pages for reference: (I find this site and their incessant reliance on arbitrary calcs pretty dumb a lot of the time all things considered but they're useful as a concise overview of character abilities, and they have Accelerator as being multiple tiers above Dio) https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Accelerator https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Dio_Brando
  15. I broke it. I broke it so fuckign bad I'm sorry I have no idea what happened My man's too powerful for the database to process
  16. From the album: CBUB Character Submission Images

The title character, Saitama (サイタマ), is a bald-headed 26-year-old man who is bored of fighting because he is effortlessly able to defeat enemies with a single punch.Vol. 1 He lives in an apartment in City Z. Three years prior to the start of the series when he had hair, Saitama was applying for jobs as a salaryman, when he defeats a crab-like monster that attempted to kill a child.Ch. 2 Saitima says he became a hero "for the fun of it".Ch. 5 His abilities mainly consist of normal human physical abilities (he does not have the ability to fly or project energy) magnified to an immeasurable degree: speed, strength, stamina, and durability, which he attributes to a daily training regimen of 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, kilometer run, eating right, and not using the air conditioner or heater to reinforce his mental fortitude.Ch. 11 His power eventually saves Genos from the villain Mosquito Girl, who declares himself as Saitama's disciple. Though Saitama often finds Genos annoying, they eventually form a bond. Genos is the first person to expose Saitama to the Hero Association, where he can officially receive recognition for his heroic work. Though he had broken all the physical records in the hero entrance exam by huge margins, Saitama enters the Hero Association in the lowest C-Class rank due to his miserable performance on the written exam.Ch. 16 He soon advances by performing superheroic deeds, although many of his efforts are not fully recognized because of collateral damage or higher-tiered superheroes receiving more credit. He does not mind letting others have the recognition though, as demonstrated in his actions following the fight against the Deep Sea King. His assistance in the fight against Deep Sea King enabled him to advance to B-Class thanks to a commendation by top C-Class hero Mumen Rider.Ch. 27-29 In the Dark Matter Thieves' story arc, he is unfazed by the telekinesis of a powerful esper, further displaying his resistance. This arc was also one of the only times he has used his "serious punch", defeating the world-conquering leader of the aliens, Boros. Through various circumstances, he forms friendships with Mumen Rider, Bang, King, and Blizzard. His superhero name in the association is Bald Cape (ハゲマント, Hagemanto, Anime: Caped Baldy).Ch. 45
  17. I noticed a lot of characters who had their own pages back in the day got cut down by Wikipedia's relevancy policy and folded into 'List of ____ characters' pages, the ruthless bastards. Thankfully those links all seem to still redirect to the appropriate article tho.
  18. How does the general scale of speed and reflexes in the Samurai Jack world compare to Wrath's? I feel like we saw Jack struggle a lot with one-off characters who didn't really seem that impressive in those regards, while Bradley at his best never really struggled with anyone in a straight fight and blitzed people with impressive speed of their own (like Greed) on the regular. My first impression says him but I never really looked at SJ with too analytic an eye when it came to feats and stuff so I could easily be mistaken.
  19. That's a fair point re: the Russos, thanks for bringing it to my attention. Straight up power isn't always the most crucial factor in a fight tho and I don't necessarily think a big concern of Waititi/the Russos was maintaining a cohesive power scale between their movies (clear statement from Ragnarok was that Thor is actually at his strongest without channeling his power through some kind of weapon, but the Russos largely ignored that for the sake of rule of cool and there wasn't even a mention of the awakened state in either IW or Endgame), and not to harp on about the Scarlet Witch showing when it is true Hela isn't the same but I do genuinely still believe it stands as a valid indicator of how Thanos can fare against somebody with a powerful ranged game if they use it properly. Especially given she didn't have anywhere near the scaling to make anyone think she could beat Thanos prior to that fight. As far as Thanos not using the stones to their full effect, it seems like he never does when it comes to combat. I dunno if it's because the gauntlet harnesses their energy a certain way that he can't or if he just chooses not to or what, but I don't see any reason to believe he wouldn't be the same if he fought Hela. I can easily see a scenario where Thor didn't realize how dire things were until it was too late and by the point Loki got killed he had already been beaten up too badly to really unleash the lightning, but ik I'm getting too much into supposition at that point for it to be valid lol Iunno, I thought what was being conveyed with Surtur was that he was able to kill her by destroying Asgard itself along with her. She died with her home turf, not on it. We need to take the writer's intentions into account with things like this and not just assume they dropped empty words into their script for no reason, they're the top authority on it after all. If we believe Odin's statement that Thor unleashing his true power is stronger than him (which again, felt like the writer telling us that this is the case) then the fact that he threw a whole lightning storm at Hela and was still certain he couldn't kill her is a pretty big deal, and while I do think he could pull it off with the power stone if he unleashes its real strength rather than fighting like a brawler like he did against the heroes I don't think straight decapitation or really anything he could accomplish under his own power would do it. Nor do I really think he could decapitate her, honestly. She's faster and a smaller target than him and would presumably be keeping him at range if she accurately estimated how powerful he is in terms of brute strength.
  20. Not to be insensitive but Thor Lebowski was a depressed fatass, he was far from at his peak. We don't know how Thanos beat Thor at the start of IW (unless there's been a comic or something covering that), so I dunno how accurate it is to say Thanos's physicality is far superior to his. If we go by the showings Thor w/ Stormbreaker in his peak physical condition has against Thanos then he's the one who sliced right through a beam from the Infinity Gauntlet like it was nothing and owned him, I'm actually of the opinion that Thor on top of his game and wielding the axe could match Thanos if not outright beat him. We also don't know how, or if, Thanos overcame Thor in his awakened state (the only one that was actually more than an inconvenience to Hela) or if he even got a chance to bust it out, probably cuz it was an idea Taika Waititi had and the Russos didn't wanna touch it. Personally I got the sense Thor wouldn't really have cut loose with the lightning stuff on board a ship of innocent Asgardians, so he probably tried to handle Thanos with brute strength and got rocked. I also think there was an element of pride coming into Hela's fight with Thor. She could've easily stabbed him with infinite spikes until he died, but instead she engaged him at close range and with swordplay. My feeling is that she wanted to establish that she was Odin's true heir, while she'd have no compunctions whatsoever about just spamming some random invader like Thanos to death. Again my main reason for feeling this way is that Thanos's showing against Scarlet Witch was just SO awful, like he had absolutely nothing up his sleeve to counter her whatsoever. If we go by prior showings then Scarlet Witch isn't even that strong, certainly not more powerful than Hela in Asgard. There's also the fact that Hela can't die on her turf, which you mention as a NLF but I respectfully disagree there cept maybe that the power stone can pull it off. He'd have to cut loose with it though, if he fights the same way he did with the IG vs Strange and the others then I still think he gets skewered.
  21. What stones did Thanos have at the start of IW again? Was it just power? I actually think with both at base Hela would absolutely dumpster Thanos. He can overpower pure physical opponents like Thor and Hulk because he's stronger than them and all they can really do is throw hands, but like we saw with Scarlet Witch if an enemy can shut him down by keeping him at a distance and throwing inordinate amounts of firepower at him then there's really shit all he can do. Does holding the power gem boost his durability passively? If so he probably wins, but it always looked like whatever way the gauntlet harnesses the gem powers (I guess so they don't destroy him) required he actively use them for their effects to work. He takes it if he estimates Hela's threat properly and uses the full ability of the power stone to destroy her from the getgo, but if he dicks around or tries to fight her the same way he did Strange, Tony and the rest in IW I don't see how he doesn't get skewered by spikes from like 50 different angles.
  22. So the Deadlights are like, unimaginably powerful, but It's constrained to certain rules and limitations in its earthly form which is why the kiddies were able to stop it themselves, with Hellboy's experience and resourcefulness backing them up they 100% will. Plus it specifically targets kids because adults are less likely to be afraid of it, and when the kids stopped being scared of it its power and influence over them waned. Hellboy won't give a shit about some creepy clown antics or creepy bugs or whatever else. It's in the bag. Fun matchup tho.
