  1. Good Megastory chapter, leroy. It's got good content (though I think I saw what you were doing with that big line gap in the match, lol). As for the match, I guess it's too late to ask about the abilities of the soldiers fighting alongside Orka? Well, unless those soldiers are each around Orka's power level, I think the Winter Guard can stop Orka's militia.
  2. Vid links used to post here as the videos themselves, right?
  3. You might remember when I tried posting video links here: Also, just to be sure, I'll try posting another vid link in this post: Goku Roasts Vegeta😂 EDIT: ^Ah, there we go. Instead of posting the vid link I pasted, the vid's title posted instead. There's been a very similar issue on GameFAQs for years as well, and the only way I could get around it there was to actually type out the link in the post, character by character.
  4. Wow, dunno how I missed this one. Sorry about that, Venom. It was another good I am Lord Zedd match, though. I guess you (Zedd) are going to have Tommy make his move on the Rangers a little later on in the arc, huh?
  5. Okay, the portrayal of Goku's naivete got a chuckle out of me. Good chapter for your Unforeseen arc, Venom. I could almost see Goku waiting things out for a worthy opponent like this. I wouldn't be that surprised if Master Roshi got a nosebleed over Anissa at some point in the recap. 😆 As for the match, Anissa may have an edge in raw speed, but from the Cell Games onward, I think Goku has every other advantage. Goku probably takes this after Anissa initially makes him work (and no, not like that! ).
  6. Been awhile, CBUB. This is more of a technical issue than a cosmetic update, but any links that aren't embedded in text aren't clickable when posted, and instead post as the title of the page linked.
  7. Good chapter for your Megastory arc, leroy, but kinda short. I wonder how many people here still know about these eras of the Transformers franchise? As for the match, while Thrust's motorcycle mode is likely more agile than Sunstreaker's Lamborghini mode, a Lamborghini is still faster on the road than any cycle. This will likely go into bot mode vs. bot mode. Thrust can be a vicious fighter, but so can Sunstreaker, and the G1 Transformers have generally been more powerful than their Beast Wars/Machines descendants. I'd say Sunstreaker takes Thrust down due to being more powerful and generally cleverer.
  8. Good set-up, Johnny. Good story, and it looks like a good matchup. Information on the Ferret's abilities is pretty scant, though (aside from general descriptions of them being at "animal-like" levels), so I personally can't say how he'd fare against Jackal's cybernetic enhancements.
  9. Good set-up, matchup, and CBUB Match debut of literal poisonous femme fatales, Johnny. You've once again managed to mesh Marvel and Street Fighter well. As for the match, it does feel like A.K.I. has the edge here. From what I've read up on Asp, she seems to rely more on her power of poisons than fighting technique. A.K.I. is quite skilled in combat and with poisons, and A.K.I. using her poisons doesn't risk draining her own stamina like Asp's can do for her. I think A.K.I. can outmaneuver and outfight Asp, and she could likely also wear Asp down with her attacks before Asp's radiating energy can weaken A.K.I.
  10. Heh, good tourney entry, Gizmo. It kinda reads like Stan Lee himself were narrating a Fantastic Four adventure in an RP style. As for the match? Ah, I wish I had seen Disney's Hercules by now, both the movie and the TV show. The movie is next up on my Disney animated film watchlist (though I've been saying that for over a year now, heh 😅). I have seen clips of Herc in action in the movie, as well as played in his world in Kingdom Hearts I and II, and if this is him from the film, I'd have to agree that Ben may be overmatched. I can't tell myself, though, since I haven't seen the film or the show, so I'll have to abstain from the vote on this one.
  11. Ack, just missed this one. A good debut for both Leatherneck and Leatherhead with them both very much in-character, but the Cajun 'gator rightfully won this one.
  12. Nice bringing back the CBUB-as-an-office environment for this entry, Russ! This could almost be straight out of a sitcom. As for the match, yeah, we're all done, lol. Not only is Tarzan possibly outmatched against these Deep Ones, he may also be slightly out of his natural environment compared to his more amphibious foes.
  13. Hah, very good tourney entry, Johnny! This is almost like a quintessential CBUB matchup. Don't worry about your idea not being original; my Santa vs. Apokolips match was lowkey intended to be a sequel to the comic story. I wish more people would've read and responded to this one. I'm thinking the Keebler Elves eventually stop the Cookie Monster's rampage, though. The Cookie Monster has gotten full on Sesame Street before, and the Elves have perpetually been making and delivering their cookies for decades now. They can just keep feeding the Monster cookies until he eventually gets his fill or regains control of himself. Or ... this might happen. Man, I probably should've been watching Robot Chicken. 😆
  14. Heh, DeSantos probably should've won this since he uses more than his fists to fight.
  15. Alright, here are my thoughts on the match itself: This is a good chapter for the arc, @Venom 2009, but personally, I would've liked to see more of your fictional self's thoughts while you're (literally) in Zedd's shoes, body, etc., like how conflicted you still might be about filling Zedd's role. But that's just me. Also, I hope the rest of you have considered that fact that Tommy is under Zedd's control at this point in the arc, so he probably won't be helping out his fellow Rangers out much, if at all. In fact, aside from possibly sabotaging the Rangers efforts in this fight, Tommy may even go as far as attacking Zordon and Alpha in the Control Center while he's at it.
  16. Good to see your I Am Lord Zedd arc back, Venom! I'll go into depth about the match tomorrow, but I did vote on and rate it. I will say that since Tommy is under your (Zedd's) control, he is very likely going to sabotage his teammates' efforts, allowing the Zeo Putty Rangers to win.
  17. Pretty good set-up and possible conclusion to the third Battlesphere, broadway. Yeah, Ironheart and Queen Bee really should've won their previous Battlesphere bouts. Not sure why the links provided for those previous matches aren't clickable, though ... As for the match, Queen Bee and Ironheart are too powerful to lose here. They should pretty comfortably win this rematch.
  18. Another good chapter for your Gex/Sir Daniel arc, Russ. I figured the monster would give Gex and Sir Daniel a good fight. As for the match, I haven't played any Little Big Planet games, either, but from watching some vids, I see that they have some good elements of other platformers. Sackboy looks like he has enough moves and a potential arsenal to put up a good fight, but Sockboy's own size disadvantage and Gex and Daniel's own skill should probably allow the duo to beat him.
  19. Good to see one of your annual Christmas Matches, Boratz! Very good set-up and very plausible CBUB Match debut of the Christmas Ghosts. I was planning on getting to it much earlier, but my laptop's been pretty sluggish of late. Like leroy, I vaguely remember the Ghostbusters taking on these ghosts in an episode of their old cartoon, but I don't remember nearly enough about how it turned out. It feels like a pretty quirky case for the team, but they should be able to capture them. I have a feeling that the guys would want to let the Ghosts teach their Christmas lesson to Scrooge first, though. Either that or I'm starting to remember the episode. 😅
  20. Heh, good set-up and good CBUB Match debut for a couple of good '80's feline characters, Johnny. Seeing that pic of Riff-Raff and his gang reminds me of just how '80's the Cadillac portion of Heathcliff really was. As for the match, normally, nothing can get Fat Cat's mind off his next scheme or heist, but then I remembered that Cleo somehow has that effect on almost every male cat that sees her. I don't like Fat Cat's odds with this one. As much as the other male Cadillac Cats grumble about Riff-Raff's antics, they're always loyal to him in the end. Also, IIRC, Riff-Raff's about as tough as Heathcliff himself in a brawl (and Heathcliff regularly roughed up a pretty big dog, sometimes even for the hell of it). Going after Cleo and trying to trash his junkyard would only provoke his wrath.
  21. Heh, one might chalk it up to familiarity, but I seriously doubt more people here have seen the Beauty and the Beast Christmas special than Buffy and The Legend of Vox Machina. Unless this Maestro Forte can wreck towns or worse, it's unlikely he would've held up to Kima's magic sledgehammer. She's dealt lethal blows to dragons and other big beasts with that thing.
