I do not understand the need to have things keep the same name minus parentheses. Seems kind of silly but okay.

We've already had this discussion. When we look at a profile, we don't really just look at the character's, etc., status quo; we look at the profile from a historical context.  

Logan/James Howlett has for most of his history been known as Wolverine. 

Kal-L/Clark Kent has always been known as Superman. 

Bruce Wayne has been Batman for most of his history. 

Diana of Themyscira has, for the most part, always been Wonder Woman. 

Until recent years, Billy Bastion was known as Captain Marvel (hell, a lot of folks that know his history still call him Captain Marvel).

Carol, though, has been known by her real name, Binary, and Warbird, each for at least as long as she's been Captain Marvel, and Mar-Vell held the title for even longer. 

Gotta look at a character's, etc. history.

When I added and reviewed the character when I was a character admin back from 2009 to 2013, that's what he was entered as it is his official name.

That and adding in parentheses to s character added as such is redundant unless they're an alternate universe version of the same character.

It doesn't look like she's giving up the name anytime soon though. Plus, the movie just cemented it in the eyes of the public. Same deal with Kamala Khan as Ms Marvel especially with her in the MCU.

Status quo alone shouldn't determine the legacy of a character. As many aliases as Carol's had (along with her history with each alias), it's best to look at her from a historical context.

I've seen characters with alternate battle images that when a battle image is selected, it changes the character name/title.

Why not just add an alternate Battle pic of Carol as Captain Marvel and when that pic is selected, the title is Captain Marvel?

I think that a profile's name changes only when it's in a Fantasy Draft match-up.

The name-changing feature wasn't available when EF was first re-opened. Fox only implemented it late last year.

If memory serves, the site got hacked back in like 2012 and some character profiles were filled with some uncouth links/pictures, or something along those lines.

Yeah, that's interesting.  If there was an older entry for Wonder Woman it is long gone - like before the shutdown.

The ID on that current entry is 9577 which actually makes it a later entry.  For reference the ID on the latest character add is 11083.

Back in 2013, it was discovered that the old Wonder Woman profile had a link to a porn site, which got deleted. When the CBUB came back last year, a new Wonder Woman profile was made. I just happened to find Wonder Woman’s old Battle Images from very old matches, and add them to her new profile.

That's right. Z451 deleted the profile as soon as he saw those porn links, etc. I also remember editing Callisto's posts for every CP-created match and rumble that used WW myself.

May want to post here regarding character profiles, too. 

I agree with removing the one with no fight record, but out of curiosity, you could first put both profiles in a Rumble to see which has the better links.

I went ahead and deleted the one since when they have a fight record it is not as clean.
