  1. Here's who I added recently: Marvel: Bronze Charli Ramsey/Hawkeye (Ultimate Universe) Lionheart Predator: Scandinavian Predator (Predator: Killer of Killers) Willow: Prince Graydon Hastur Craig of the Creek: Craig Williams DC Comics: Otho-Ra (Starchild)
  2. All got accepted thankfully but one of the new Predators from Killer of Killers didn't. So, I'm trying to think of a way to find a good image, hopefully.
  3. Rejected again. @IKA Please tell me why are my images not acceptable?
  4. I've been adding images for new character submissions and I keep getting rejected. I submitted Craig, one of the new Predators, why are the images not acceptable? I followed all the rules.
  5. Tony Stark said that about Ultron but he took over anyway.
  6. Hey, I love that version of The Beyonder!
  7. On the suggestion of @IKAI'll post the chapters here one by one. Prologue: Enter The Beyonder Disclaimer: All characters belong to their respective owners. Author's Notes: Hello and welcome to 2025! And thus, welcome to a new Infinity Crisis installment and this is new territory for me specifically because this is my first anthology. Basically, my excuse to experiment with ideas and concepts presented here and I give special thanks for Ben2Dartmouth for the inspiration as I always wanted to try something like this. But also, Legacy of the Doctor is still on in regards to something with multiple chapters, or three in its case, just that I want to time the last one first. But in the meantime, I have other ideas to explore. I'll delve into more and I hope you enjoy! Earth-082717: Drake City, Gemina It had been days since the Mysticons had their encounter with the evil variant of Tommy Oliver, the Green Ranger. During their final battle, they had gained the upper hand but he disappeared just as they managed to defeat him. But he said a curious choice of words right before he did, "This isn't over! When I conquer the next universe, I'll be back!" They recall he shouted before he laughed and disappeared. The Mysticons had consulted the Astromancers over the topic but none of them seemed to have had any idea what the evil Green Ranger was talking about. Proxima Starfall had zero clue the most, he insisted perhaps he had been referring to Earth. Arkayna, the leader of the Mysticons, had her doubts that was what he meant. Then they consulted Auntie Yaga, the aunt of their ally Malvaron given her experience of traveling to Earth among other dimensions. To their shock, she freely admitted she was aware of the greater multiverse very casually. Even the fact she had been to a dozen universes already but made a point to mention that traveling between universes has now been made easier as earlier, she felt something had changed the trajectory forever. And from her recent travels, she had seen dozens of universes infiltrated by various beings; some good, some not. Auntie Yaga then warned them of the possible threats that could come to Gemina, especially after the Mysticons had told them about the evil Green Ranger they had encountered. "So what now?" Asked Zarya. The Mysticons had reconvened into Arkayna's room for the time being as they continued to discuss what they knew so far. Zarya and Piper's pet and friend Chokko in the meantime was being taken care of by Malvaron given he was caught in the crossfire and currently recovering. "Why care about this whole multiverse business now?" Zarya added. "That whole thing with the Green Ranger nearly killed us!" Arkayna softly exclaimed but intense. Em touched her friend on her shoulder with an empathetic expression on her face. She understood her feelings at the moment as Arkayna had arrived back at the palace when the Evil Green Ranger had attempted murder on her parents and even her brother Gwayne. Narrowly, she managed to drive away the evildoer but it resulted in the Evil Green Ranger outclassing her in every respect, even throwing energy blasts at her to the point that he had nearly killed her. Though his attempted murder was interrupted by the other Mysticons who at least drove him away. At least until their final battle the following day. "Sorry." Arkayna apologized to her sister Zarya. "That fight with the Green Ranger still has gotten me shook up." "Hey, I get it." Zarya said empathetically. "That guy was tough and almost killed us." "And a big meanie!" Piper chimed in, still put off by the villain's personality. "I'm just worried what if Auntie Yaga was right?" Said Arkayna. "The Green Ranger was just the beginning and there are threats that can come to Gemina." "I'm just curious about the whole multiverse thing." Em said. "What other dimensions or universes are there besides Earth?" "What if there's a universe of chocolate people?!" Piper exclaimed in excitement. The three Mysticons stared at her blankly and in puzzlement over such a random statement Piper made. "What if there is?" The Mysticons turned to see Malvaron in the same room sitting on the couch as he placed his forefinger around his chin in thought. "I mean, it's possible given the infinite possibilities of the multiverse." "Malvaron?" Arkayna inquired in confusion. "We didn't hear you come in." "I just I'd let myself in, young lady." To their shock, now they had seen Arkayna's mother, Queen Goodfey, in Malvaron's place on the couch. "You're obviously new to the multiverse, my young daughters." "Queen Goodfey" smirked as she stood up with her arms crossed. "And you have no idea what's out there!" "Gawayne" said as "Queen Goodfey" suddenly shapeshifted into Arkayna's own brother. "Okay, this is getting beyond weird!" Zarya exclaimed, feeling a bit creeped out. Piper gasped, "It must be an imitation!" Suddenly, "Gawayne started to shift and contort his body. His body began to change into a more slender figure. Even his clothes changed as he now wore a white bodysuit of sorts with black boots and sharp looking shoulder pads. As well as his hands changed into something more boney with even elongated but sharp fingers. As well blue hair with a cowlick and his skin now dark brown with a black beard shaped like flames on his sharp chin, blue colored lips and no pupils on his eyes, as well as blue eyeliner. "Uh…Arkayna…" Em meekly said. "I know…" Arkayna replied as she stared at the sight of it all with her mouth gaping open. "Not yet you do!" The figure spoke in his natural voice, a smooth yet superior tone to his mannerisms. The being transformed into a stereotypical tourist complete with a Hawaiian shirt with a camera around his neck, khaki shorts, sandals and a hat with the face and mouth of the Disney character Goofy. "My first time in Drake City!" He exclaimed with giddy as he began to take photos. "Tell me, what theme parks are here? Any landmarks? Any activities? Is there an equivalent of the world's biggest ball of yarn here?" The being got too invasive as he not only took flashing photos of each of the Mysticons who were dumbfounded, save for Piper who smiled and made a dozen or so heroic poses. As well as taking photos to the smallest things like a curtain. "Okay, enough!" Arkayna shouted in an irritable manner at the intrusive being. "Who are you?!" "What are you even doing here?" Zarya concurred with her sister. "Who am I?" He gasped in shock. "Who am I?" He then grinned. "Then again, I'm new to you as you four are to me, so let me introduce myself. I am…" As he spun around in a starry background, his name flashed in bright and bold lettering in a graffiti style. "The Beyonder!" His voice echoed as he introduced himself. "The who-onder?" Arkayna asked in confusion after a moment of silence. "He's so cool!" Piper exclaimed in excitement. In response, the three Mysticons stared at their friend incredulously over the remark. "What?" Piper protested as she shrugged her arms. "He's oozing cool!" "Nice to feel appreciated!" The Beyonder smiled as he teleported next to Piper and shook her hand. "This is just too weird!" Em said nervously, feeling a bit unnerved. "Just who or what are you exactly?" Arkayna asked the Beyonder. "I said the who." The Beyonder replied. "But as for what, it would take an entire year in the most advanced terms as to who am I but in short, I am an omnipotent cosmic being with powers you wouldn't even dream of!" "Says who?" Zarya said in a skeptical manner. "A non-believer?" The Beyonder laughed softly in disbelief. "Given what this universe is and what you fight between powerful sorceresses, undead skeletons, Proxima going all Sauron? The Vexicons? Even the evil Green Ranger?" "How do you know all that?!" Arkayna gasped. "I told you, I'm omnipotent." The Beyond replied simply. "But if you all don't believe me still…" With a snap of his fingers, Arkayna suddenly found a second face of hers on her chest. She looked down and both faces screamed at each other in horror. With another snap, Piper in the meanwhile grew taller like a giant while Em grew shorter. "Hey, what's going on?" Em asked nervously. "Why am I smaller?" "Wow, I'm tall!" Piper gasped in excitement. "You're not getting me that easy!" Zarya said as she went into a fighting stance. "Oh, I will." The Beyonder grinned as he snapped his fingers again. This time, Zarya found her body moving on their own will and began to riverdance much to her confusion. To add to her misfortune for the sake of novelty, the Beyonder snapped his fingers again to summon an entire orchestra as they played music from Michael Flattery's Lord of the Dance, complete with backup dancers riverdancing as well. "Hey!" Zarya screamed in outrage and confusion. "What is this?!" "Magic dance, baby!" The Beyonder exclaimed with sadistic glee as he riverdanced himself. "Okay, okay! I believe you!" Zarya then quickly screamed. "Me too!" Arkayna concurred. "Us too!" Piper and Em shouted in agreement. With a snap of his fingers once again, everything had disappeared and the Mysticons returned to normal to their relief. "Thank Goodness…" Arkayna sighed in relief. "By the Hammer of Harmon…" Em softly exclaimed as she felt dizzy from the ordeal. "That was scary!" "Okay, you got our attention, and we believe you." Arkayna said to the Beyonder. "What do you want from us?" "More like I want to tell you all something." The Beyonder said as he stopped dancing and floated above the Mysticons. "You see, you four are just another stop on my tour telling all sorts of heroes about the multiverse." "I know that your Auntie Yaga didn't exactly have all the answers." The Beyonder added. "This is all new territory for her too." The Beyonder then suddenly teleported behind the Mysticons much to their fright as they yelped. "But I have all the answers you need." He then said. "Why us in particular?" Arkayna asked the omnipotent being. "Shouldn't someone else know about this too besides us?" "Well, I could but Lunella already knows about the multiverse anyway." The Beyonder replied before he muttered under his breath in a sad fashion, "Before she wished me to go away." "Who's Lunella?" Em asked out of curiosity. "Never mind her!" The Beyonder snapped back to his usual personality. "You do want to know want to know more about the multiverse, do you not?" The Beyonder then asked Arkayna as he leaned uncomfortably close to her face whilst sporting a grin on his own face. "Can you not do that please?" Arkayna asked. In response, he retracted away from her face out of respect. "I also know what's happening with Tazma if you all are the least bit curious." The Beyonder said as he drummed his fingers together. This was also enough to get the attention of the Mysticons. "You know, now that he mentioned it," Em began to ponder. "Tazma has gone pretty quiet." "What do you know about Tazma?" Zarya asked the Beyonder. "Oh you'll know soon." Replied The Beyonder. "But before I do, you have to understand the multiverse." "What's there to understand?" Em asked out of curiosity. The Beyonder smirked upon hearing Em ask that question. To which he replied, "A lot to know, my dwarf friend." The Beyonder once again snapped his fingers and to the shock of the Mysticons, they now found themselves in a classroom that would normally be found in a college campus on Earth. Something unfamiliar to the Mysticons but familiar to the Beyonder, who was now sporting a suit and tie like a college professor whilst the Mysticons themselves found themselves in their costumes much to their surprise. "Welcome to the Multiverse and you 101!" He pointed to a chalkboard with a teacher pointer stick. "What the?" Em cried in disbelief. "Where are we now?" Zarya asked aloud. "Ahem!" The Beyonder coughed in annoyance to get their attention. "You won't learn about the multiverse if you keep on talking!" "I hate school!" Piper muttered with a frown. "Sad face emoji." "The multiverse," The Beyonder began to explain as the chalkboard changed to a series of imagery to demonstrate his point. "Otherwise known as parallel universes, are basically a series of universes that can continue concurrently that comprise all of the above; space, time, matter, energy, information, physical laws and constants. For example, I'm from Earth-021023." He continued on, "But let's take your universe for example. There can be universes based on alternate choices you made. There can be a universe where Necrafa won. Or a universe where you're fiction with a TV show that was barely promoted by a children's television network who couldn't make up their minds scheduling or just plain sexist and wanted your show to fail." "I'm sorry what?" Arkayna asked in disbelief. "What the hell did you say?" Zarya concurred with her sister as Piper and Em had expressions of shock on their faces. "Or a universe where you're an all girl 80's metal band on Earth." The chalkboard then showed an image of the Mysticons in black leather biker jackets, shirts, black boots and huge 80's perm on their hair with a version of Arkayna screaming into a microphone, Zarya on guitar, Piper on bass and Em on drums. The Mysticons stared at the chalkboard in a perplexed and shocked manner. Save for Piper who liked her 80's metal counterpart's hair. "I like their hair!" Piper gushed. "She looks so cool!" "Now, multiversal travel used to be hard save for anybody with a strong amount of magic like your Auntie Yaga." The Beyonder said. "What do you mean used to be hard?" Asked Zarya. As if in response, the chalkboard changed to a series of images portraying the events that happened in Wakanda when Thanos and his forces arrived on Earth and most of the Avengers had fought against them. Then the chalkboard changed to Thanos taking the mind stone from Vision's head. "Wait, what is this?" Arkayna asked in confusion. "This you're seeing is where things all changed." The Beyonder said. "On Earth-199999, Thanos had managed to take the Mind Stone from The Vision in order to complete the Infinity Gauntlet. For once he had all six of the Infinity Stones, he could make anything happen. In his case, wiping out half the population of the universe." "WHAT?!" The Mysticons screamed in shock. "And he did." The Beyonder said. "With one single snap…" He snapped his fingers at the same time Thanos did. Nothing had happened. But the Mysticons to their horror witnessed the likes of Bucky Barnes, Black Panther, Groot and so many others disintegrating into ash. Piper due to being the most childlike in a way, or childish, was the most horrified as she was distraught at what she was witnessing. Stunned and frightened that one being with all that power used it for genocide and even wondered if that would ever happen to her. "But it didn't stop there." The Beyonder solemnly remarked. "For you see, that snap broke all the barriers to the multiverse. And I mean, all the barriers." The imagery on the chalkboard changed again to show various earths being affected by the snapping. Such as Felicity on Earth-1 being among the first to evaporate into dust and ash. On Earth-154205, Jake Long and Trixie were turned to dust and ash like on the other universes. As was Bastian Bux on Earth-235 and Stormy on Earth-012804, as the sisters of the latter looked on in horror as their sister turned to dust and ash as there was nothing they could do to save her. And so on and so forth as the chalkboard displayed every image of every inhabitant in every universe being affected by the snap as they all turned to ash and dust much to everyone's horror. The Beyonder deep down, was even a bit unnerved by the ordeal but did not show in order to retain his personality. "See, the snap didn't just affect one universe." The Beyonder explained. "The snap created a shockwave that affected all the universes. A lot of individuals weren't spared but there were some exceptions." "Exceptions?" The Mysticons asked in unison. "Oh yeah!" The Beyonder replied with interest and intrigue. "Some universes had areas such as Paris on Earth-101915 where the Ladybug and Cat Noir miraculouses spared the denizens there. But there are universes that have magic and as such, they remain unaffected by the snap." "Even yours." He then added with a smile. "Wait a second," Arkayna held up her hands to signal him to pause. "Our universe was spared from the dusting? How?" "Yo Pipes, you okay?" Zarya asked her friend as she noticed Piper breathed heavily a bit after the onslaught of imagery of the dusting. "I'm fine!" The elf girl softly assured her friend. "I'm cool. Just glad we didn't get snapped!" "Right." Zarya nodded but unconvinced but decided to not push the issue further out of respect for Piper. "Simple." The Beyonder replied. "You four." "Us?" The Mysticons cried out in surprise. The Beyonder nodded with a "Mmmhmm." "The mere fact you four became Mysticons and embraced the magic became Gemina's insurance; more specifically the Codex. Protecting your universe from being dusted." He smiled as he said, "Amazing, isn't it?" "You're telling us!" Em, the Mysticon Knight, remarked in surprise. "But just in case you're wondering," The Beyonder said. "Things got reversed. A lot of team ups, Thanos defeated, you know how these things go." "Well I'm glad obviously but what's even next?" Arkayna asked. "Yeah, are we just gonna pretend nothing happened after you dropped all this on us?" Zarya asked as she concurred with her sister. "Not saying that at all." The Beyonder smiled. "The barriers can't be repaired. So the situation is twofold; you'll meet heroes of course but also a lot of threats." He then grinned in an almost sinister manner, "If you thought Necrafa, Proxima or the Vexicons were bad enough, you ain't seen nothing yet." He then presented the chalkboard imagery of the various threats he began to mention, even much to the discomfort of Piper and to an extent Arkayna the more they witnessed the threats presented. Even to the point of Piper covering her own eyes. "We have Thanos, Daleks, Kang, Decepticons and especially Megatron, Cybermen, Apocalypse, The Master, Godzilla, Freddy Krueger, Mister Sinister, Brainiac, Chucky, Council of Luthors, Weeping Angels, Ultron, The Maker, Black Adam, Lord Zedd, Cobra Commander, The Valeyard, Doctor Doom, Michael Myers, Dark Specter, The Rani, The Krakoan aka Hellion, Aku, Annihulus, the High Evolutionary, Loki, Jason Voorhees, Karnilla, Unicron, Galactus, Astromena, Skinless Martians, Sylvie, Darkseid, Agatha Harkness, Jobu Tupaki, Cassandra Nova, all sorts of baddies that give yours a run for their money!" The Beyonder briefly rapped in a similar style as the Pokerap from Pokémon. "That's… a lot to take in…" Em stammered as she was stunned by the amount of villains presented. Arkayna nodded in agreement. "Is it over?" Asked Piper with her hands still covering her eyes. "That Krueger guy and the Daleks sound scary!" "We could take 'em!" Zarya scoffed. "Don't be too sure!" The Beyonder taunted Zarya as he leaned in closer to her face. "The Daleks have been doing a great job conquering various universes and driving away rebels. And Krueger? Last I heard, he took the lives of three children recently in a car. Let's just say what happened wasn't pretty." "And don't get me started on Decepticons. You don't want to meet the Council of Megatrons." He then added as he stood straight up. "Or the Council of Kangs for that matter." "So, is this what this is about?" Arkayna, the Mysticon dragon mage said before asking, "You came here to warn us about these threats? Do any of them know about Tazma even?" "One of them do but essentially yes." The Beyonder replied as he leaned on the chalkboard from behind. "I didn't just come to warn you. I'm going to tell you stories. Some are about these threats. Others are about heroes you should know about. And others, just for the hell of it." "Oh! Story time!" Piper exclaimed in excitement as she clapped her hands. "Not just one story!" The Beyonder grinned. "A lot of stories!" "Seriously?" Zarya, the Mysticon ranger remarked in disbelief and annoyance. "Don't be disrespecting me!" The Beyonder exclaimed in annoyance. "You will want to hear these." He then placed his forefinger and chin in thought as he mused, "But what should I do? How do I present these stories? Rod Serling?" "Don't snap your-" Arkayna screamed in a panic but it was too late, The Beyonder snapped his fingers. Suddenly, everything was literally in black and white with The Beyonder resembling Rod Serling in appearance save for his face and hair. "You're traveling through another dimension." The Beyonder ominously narrated. "A dimension of sight, sound and of mind. For look up ahead, your next stop; The Beyonder Zone!" With that, he sang the familiar notes of the Twilight Zone theme song. "Why is everything in black and white?" Em nervously asked as she and the other Mysticons examined their hands and bodies in shock. "Can you be serious for one moment?!" Zarya shouted at the Beyonder in irritation. "You want serious?" The Beyonder duly snapped his fingers again and the setting had changed to a crypt, complete with coffins, spider webs, the like. Along with the Beyonder wearing a brown cloak. And everything was in color again. "Welcome boils and ghouls!" The Beyonder laughed in a wicked high pitched fashion. "Really, guy?" Arkayna remarked, unimpressed. "Fine, we'll do it the Henry Rollins way." The Beyonder snapped his fingers again as he now transformed into a muscular version of himself in casual dark clothing and a giant eye behind them. The Mysticons screamed in terror upon seeing the eyeball behind The Beyonder. The Beyonder looked back out of curiosity to see the eyeball who reacted nonplused at the sight of it all. "Maybe a bit too much." The Beyonder shrugged. "Night Visions is incredibly underrated though!" "A-ha!" The Beyonder shouted in realization. "I know just what to do!" "Dude, please no more!" Em cried out as she and the Mysticons rushed toward the Beyonder to stop him from snapping his fingers. But it was too late, once again, The Beyonder snapped his fingers and the Mysticons braced themselves as a flash of light engulfed them all. Seconds later, the Mysticons opened their eyes as soon as the light dispersed. "Is everyone okay?" Arkayna asked her friends as she examined herself. The rest of the Mysticons murmured they were alright as they were also examining themselves if something had been done to them. Satisfied they remained normal; they breathed a sigh of relief. Until they finally looked at their new surroundings. To their discomfort, the location they were in seemed like an endless dark void save for lights that showcased paintings and statues much to their confusion. "Where's the Beyonder?" Em asked as she brought up her sword with the rest of the Mysticons following suit with their respective weaponry; such Arkayna with her staff, Zarya with her bow and Piper with her hoop like rings. The four girls stood side by side together as they walked through the paintings. To their amazement, they took notice of some of the paintings that portrayed seemingly heroic figures such as a trio of teenagers in armored suits, such as one in red and gold, black and gray, and blue and gray. A group of people in dinosaur knight armored in multiple colors. A man in a blue suit with red boots and a cape and an "S" on his chest. Even a blonde woman in a red and blue suit together with a woman with dark brown skin in a white and black suit and a brown skinned girl in a suit with a blue domino mask, blue burkini with a lightning bolt on her chest, a golden bangle and blue boots and a red scarf. And another blonde woman in a gray jacket and rainbow suspenders and brown boots. But they were also unnerved by a series of paintings that featured more villainous figures. Such as a man with burned skin, a brown hat, a red and green striped sweater and a razor glove on his right hand. A man dressed as a miner with a pick axe. As well as a group of beings who were encased in metal with one eye stalk and their bodies more resembled pepper shakers and two weaponry in front. As well as a man also encased in a metal suit with a green hood and a cape. And a metal giant with an arm cannon on his right arm. "This is getting spooky." Zarya remarked. Suddenly, Piper screamed in a fright. Alarmed, the rest of the Mysticons were prepared to fight. "What is it?!" Zarya cried out in alarm. "Look!" Piper exclaimed as she pointed to a particular painting; one of a group of cats surfing on a wave on surfboards. Such as a ginger cat named Goose, a black cat named Ebony, Spider-Cat, a gray cat named Coal and a silver cat with a blue cape on a surfboard. "They're Sphinxes! On. Surfboards!" Piper, the Mysticon striker screamed in terror as she pulled her hair in a very crazed manner. "It's not right! It shouldn't be! It's impossible! No it's not! No! It's NOT NATURAL!" Arkayna and Zarya stared at Piper with baffled expressions on their faces. "Are you serious right now?" Arkayna shouted in exasperation. "This scares you?!" Zarya cried out in puzzlement. Suddenly, they heard Em yelp out in fright as they turned around to see her with a look of fear on her face as she held her sword with her own two hands as she backed away in fear. They turned to see the source of her apparent and witnessed a painting of a certain president with a bad blonde wig-shaking hands with a man in a black jacket red tie and black cap. "Oh wow are they ugly." Zarya remarked in disgust. "Heading my way?" The Mysticons heard The Beyonder coyly remarking from behind. They whirled with their weapons in tow around to see him still floating in mid air with his hands behind his back and lying on his back as if he were relaxing on a couch with a smirk on his face. "Like it?" The Beyonder asked. "I figured why not go a bit classy with an art gallery." "Plus, it'd give you all visual aid." He then added. "Just tell us what's going on!" Arkayna demanded as she facepalmed. "Oh don't tell me you still haven't paid attention!" The Beyonder exclaimed. "You want to know about the incoming threats. The heroes. Any questions about Tazma. You'll know in any of these paintings that will answer all your questions!" The Beyonder presented three different paintings on the left and the right. "From the heroes that save lives." On the left were paintings of a dark brown skinned man with red goggles in white and blue suit with red wings flying toward the sky with an American theme on the costume. A woman with a winged metal helmet and mask, blonde hair and armor wielding a large hammer. And dark brown skinned teenage girl in pink and black armor. "To the villains who don't value lives." On the right were paintings of a man in a hockey mask wielding a machete in tattered clothing. A man in a white mask in dark blue coveralls. And a bald woman in cream colored clothing and brown boots. "Or paintings that involve specific scenarios." The Beyonder added. "And some, well, some just speak for themselves." He said as he presented a painting of the villainous robot known as Ultron in a tuxedo and singing into a microphone. "What…?" Arkayna could only mutter in disbelief as she titled her head with the other Mysticons following her example as they questioned the existence of such a visual. Except for Piper who was giggling. "I know exploring universes is more The Watcher's gimmick but who says I can't do it too?" The Beyonder grinned as he wiggled his eyebrows up and down. Finally, the Mysticons lowered their weapons; resigned to the fact that they now had to listen to the Beyonder. And they needed to know what was going on about the greater multiverse and Tazma. Especially if these potential threats were involved. "Alright." Arkayna sighed. "What can you tell us?" The Beyond smiled with glee. He had finally gotten the attention of the Mysticons. "Well I'm glad you finally asked!" The Beyonder shouted in excitement. "There's so much to go on I don't know where to start!" The Beyonder then floated around as he directed the Mysticons to a specific painting. "But I think I know just the painting to start off things." He then added as he showed them a painting of a muscular woman with red hair in a black and yellow mask in a yellow bodysuit, blue gloves and blue boots with three claws on each hand that came out the top of her hands and was roaring as she burst through the ground-ready for action. "Take this one for example." The Beyonder continued. "You've heard of Captain Carter, are you ready for Peggy Carter as…The Wolverine?" "Captain who?" Em asked. The Beyonder stared blankly at her until he had a sudden realization. "Oh!" The Beyonder laughed softly. "That's right, you all haven't heard of her and likely any of these people. How silly of me!" He continued on, "But suffice to say, there are a lot of Peggy Carter variants out there. Most fighting the good fight against fascists and injustices everywhere. This variant is no exception." The Mysticons stared at the painting with intrigue, now clearly invested in the variant's potential story. "And this one has more attitude as the prime universe Wolverine." The Beyonder finished. "Cool!" Zarya nodded in approval. "So, what's her story?" "She looks awesome!" Piper chimed in with excitement. The Beyonder chuckled, excited he had gotten the Mysticons invested in his stories of the multiverse now. "In any case, like any origin of Wolverine, it didn't exactly start out well but overtime, every Wolverine variant becomes a hero. And Peggy Carter is no exception." The Beyonder said. "Just watch…" With that, the painting began to change much to the surprise of the Mysticons as it began to disperse and it changed to a specific bit of scenery-acting as a literal window to the specific universe. "There is where it all began for her in the year 1984…" The Beyonder finished. Author's Notes: And now some behind the scenes. - I always thought about doing an anthology given I liked Ben2Dartmouth's Tales of the Beyond and his Glimpses installments but I didn't want to feel like I'm stepping on his toes. Sure, The Watcher is viable but I like saving him for one shots given he's part of something I'm doing with Turning Red characters like Mei and her friends. And I did say I wanted to do an anthology in the Infinity Crisis Discord chat and eventually I had a lightbulb moment. And I found the gimmick/wraparound/framing device I've been looking for; and it was the Beyonder from the Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur cartoon. He just seemed perfect for this kind of thing. And given the framing device and wraparound segments, I took inspiration from the setup of Tales from the Crypt (1972) and Tales from the Hood in that there's a group of people who meet this weird and creepy guy who tells them stories. Mind you, this won't have the twist of "oh they were in hell the entire time and they died." But all the same. - Why not Moon Girl being in this? Well she's already familiar with the multiverse in her own show and in the fanfic Legacy of the Doctor. So considering there are characters not familiar with the multiverse and the Pighead pointed this out too on the Discord chats. So I picked the Mysticons. Especially since I do intend to put them through multiverse adventures. - I decided to address a bit about what happened a bit during the Evil Green Ranger variant and the aftermath with how the Astromancers saw it or how tough the battle went and so on. - Which of course leads to Auntie Yaga as she was a bit of an obstacle if she were to know about the multiverse. But frankly, I remind myself what an anonymous review on A New Ally said that I think really, really makes sense. Based on the Oracle not knowing about the even greater multiverse, it makes sense he would only be familiar with the universes he knows within the world of W.I.T.C.H. He wouldn't know anything about say the Marvel multiverse or DC or Spawn, anything. And they even brought up what Evil Morty said in an episode of Rick and Morty where he mentioned about the Central Finite Curve as separating "the infinite universe where Rick Sanchez is the smartest from the ones where he isn't." And yeah! That really makes sense and I want to lean into that a lot for future stories. - Admittedly, I forgot the pet friend of Zarya and Piper called Chokko hangs around with the Mysticons and because I didn't have anything in mind for him, just the core four, I had to get him out of the way somehow. Not because I don't like him, I just don't have anything for him to do. So, I didn't want to horribly injure him or kill him, I didn't want to do anything cruel. So the best I did was have him caught in the crossfire during the fights with the Evil Green Ranger variant and is currently healing somewhere like the Fantasy equivalent of a vet. - Yes, similar to how the Beyonder made his first appearance in the Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur cartoon but I wanted to try it myself. - Tourist look the Beyonder sports is a reference to the tourist look Genie had at the end of Aladdin. - Arkayna having a second face, inspired by Ghoulies III after not including the nod in Rampage of the Rani, I'm using it as a gag here. - Piper and Em growing taller and smaller, it's taken from a similar gag from an episode of The Flintstones when The Great Gazoo made his first appearance and he did that to Fred and Barney to demonstrate his power. - Zarya riverdancing was just for the sake of LOL. I remember in particular an episode of The Simpsons having a riverdancing gag when writing this. - Labyrinth reference. Because why not? - The line about Lunella was written before I uploaded this fanfic hours before as I decided to put in a reference to Lunella Lafayette aka Moon Girl as to explain why she's not in this and reference the events of the second season episodes The Great Beyond-er and Wish-Tar which for now at the time of this writing, the latter had the last appearance of Laurence Fishbourne as The Beyonder. But undoubtedly, he's going to come back for the rest of season two. - Originally, I thought of at one point as a homage to Dogma, The Beyonder transports himself and the Mysticons to a Mexican restaurant and make a point it was the same restaurant from the film the Metatron transported Beverly to. But didn't make the cut as I could not think of a reason to include it even as "LOL random" and in retrospect, it wouldn't have added anything. Ultimately just having the Mysticons transported to like a college classroom seemed like a better call. - Couldn't resist a potshot at Nickelodeon given they never treated Mysticons right. - I'm very fond of all women metal bands, especially 80s all women metal bands, hence an alternate universe Mysticons in that mold. And expect that to be a running gag in future stories. - References to Infinity Crisis by Michael Weyer, chapter seven of Tales of the Beyond by Ben2Dartmouth, The Neverending Stories by SC8 and my own one shot, The Deceiver. - Also referencing the Daleks conquering the multiverse and my one shot Legacy of a Nightmare. - As referenced by Sentinel of Stories' Miraculous Aftermath and The Perfect Soldier one shot I wrote, I thought it could make sense the Codex from Mysticons would protect their universe from the Snap or the Blip. - I do tend to use the theme of always somebody worse or just as bad given what history has demonstrated. So I thought it'd make sense the Mysticons would be unaware how dangerous say, the Daleks are for example. - The gag of The Beyonder emulating various anthology shows like The Twilight Zone, Tales from the Crypt and Night Visions, it was originally going to be a running gag and act as the framing device as for each story, he'd emulate The Twilight Zone first and so on and him and the Mysticons would essentially act as the Greek chorus or Fred Savage in The Princess Bride as they watch each story unfold but nobody sees them, taking a bit from A Christmas Carol. But ultimately that changed when during writer, I remembered the show Night Gallery, which was created by Rod Serling, who created The Twilight Zone. And that in particular was a light bulb moment as the setting of paintings representing the stories as that show did, it seemed more viable to use as a framing device than the original idea. Sure, Night Gallery isn't as popular as The Twilight Zone in comparison but it's well known enough that it got parodied on one of the Treehouse of Horror episodes on The Simpsons. - Speaking of, it was Ben2Dartmouth's suggestion to have a gag similar to the one in the aforementioned Treehouse of Horror episode that parodied Night Gallery where Homer screamed in terror at a painting of dogs playing poker and I happily obliged and he did suggest cats as well and even suggested the Silver Surfer variant who is a cat and yes, that's real, and I not only did that but also put in cats surfing for the sake of LOL and get the same point across. Plus, normal animals characters from Mysticons would undoubtedly be unfamiliar with and SC8 suggested Piper would call the cats a Sphinx which I thought made sense. - Em screaming and backing away whilst holding a weapon is a reference to a moment from the Ed, Edd n Eddy episode An Ed is Born. - Potshot at Doug Walker/Nostalgia Critic and Donald Trump because why not? I hate them both. - The painting of Ultron singing showtunes is a direct reference/homage to a moment from the 1872 episode of What If when The Watcher briefly presented a universe where Tony Stark invented Ultron to sing showtunes. Which I thought was an absurdly hilarious visual that I couldn't resist putting it in this story. - The painting of the Peggy Carter/Wolverine variant is a reference and homage to the cover of Return of Wolverine #1 from 2018. For me, it's a very notable comic book cover especially for the character given how well drawn and staged it looked. It's a very striking image and as iconic as other Wolverine covers. - I'll go into a bit more next time but I was inspired to think of a Peggy Carter variant who is Wolverine thanks to a particular moment in the last episode of What If when specific variants were shown of each character during a fight with The Watchers. - What I will say at least is given What If started with a Peggy Carter variant and became a superhero in her own right, I thought why not take a cue from that show and her being a Wolverine variant in this instance. And incidentally, the last episode of What If gave me more ideas for certain variants seen in that final episode, especially for Kahhori, Storm and Byrdie. - Zarya's line is a reminiscent of a line from Tales from the Hood. - Admittedly, I forgot that originally, I had the origin of the Peggy Carter Wolverine variant take place in the 70s given my note of my rough idea for her origin but I'm settling with 1984 in the end given it's one of my favorite years of movies, mainly for its Horror films. That's about everything. Hope you enjoyed what you read and there will be more soon. See ya soon!
  8. Yeah but what was the reason? That's my question because @Pizza Guy was right, Carter took on a lot of weird stuff and survived.
  9. I did just remember Marvel Team Up #1-3 where Kamala did switch bodies with Peter Parker/Spider-Man. And how they dealt with swapping bodies went as well as you'd think.
  10. As much as I like that Storm won, kind of disappointed not many people voted.
  11. Okay, I admit I like the body swap idea a lot for the two that I decided to make it an actual rumble.
  12. July 1st: Paris, France Demona, the immortal gargoyle, as ever wanted to commit genocide on the human race. But all her plans blew up in her face, even when so close to victory. 'But there is always a way...' She had thought to herself. A particular object she had wanted and pursued since the 1940s was something called the Praying Gargoyle. A magical artifact that can assist in her spells whether to reanimate stone gargoyles or protect herself from a magical plague she can set upon the Earth to destroy all humans. She never could find the artifact due to a variety of factors, not the least of which involved escaping descendants of The Hunter. In any case, she had managed to find the artifact she seeked but to her shock, as she left the catacombs as that was where she found it, a round shield was thrown at her but narrowly avoided. As it ricocheted back, the gargoyle snarled. She had expected The Hunter but to her shock, it was not. Instead, it was a buff, redheaded woman in armor with the symbol of the Union Jack. "Who are you?!" Demona angrily demanded. "Captain Carter." The woman introduced herself. "And I believe on a technicality, you committed grave robbing." Earlier, Captain Carter was having a small vacation to herself. Not the least which happened after the whole ordeal with what used to be a still alive Steve Rogers in the Hydra Stomper and her second venture into the multiverse after which she was returned home. But in the intermediate time, she had met Goliath and his clan one night. To which Goliath had told Captain Carter about Demona. Which was a few months ago. By pure chance while on a personal vacation to France, she went out on a nightly walk and by pure chance saw a flying gargoyle pass her by. It quickly dawned on her who it was and put two and two together and followed the gargoyle. "I've come too far for you to stop me now!" Demona snarled. Demona immediately flew away after with Captain Carter running after her in hot pursuit. As Captain Carter arrived at the Notre Dame Cathedral, she ended up being greeted by a few reanimated stone gargoyles who were eager to fight the super soldier. It also dawned on her that Demona was responsible for this turn of events. "Right." Captain Carter rolled her eyes. "Send a few grunts to do her work." Captain Carter managed to destroy them with her strength and shield and ran toward the cathedral but not before fighting each stone gargoyle along the way. As Demona made her final preparations for her spell that would make every human lose their lifeforce as she stood on the top floor of the cathedral, Captain Carter burst through the door and tossed a severed stone gargoyle head at her feet. Demona growled in anger as Captain Carter stood defiantly. "Goliath told me much about you." Captain Carter said to the gargoyle. "You must be losing your touch if you're willing to sacrifice even stone gargoyles to do your dirty work to kill me!" Captain Carter even immediately threw her shield and destroyed the supplies on a table that Demona had been using to complete her spell. "NO!" Demona screamed as the shield bounced back to Captain Carter who grabbed it with her right hand. "It was bad enough he allied himself with that damned detective, he confided in you too?!" Demona screamed in outrage. "With that attitude, it's understandable." Captain Carter remarked sardonically. "You are in need of therapy after all." "Do not mock me, woman!" Demona snarled in response. "Then come get me, if you can!" Captain Carter smirked as she raised her shield that also had the symbol of the Union Jack. With that, the two combatants lunged at each other for the fight as they charged at one another. ---- So, both fighters are at full strength and will also rely on their wits and strategies to win. And of course, Captain Carter has her shield and Demona with her brute strength. And admittedly, I did use some elements from one of Greg Weisman's rejected ideas.
