  1. I think Aang might actually be able to Talk no Jutsu his way out of this one, eventually. Both scale to lightning ish level speed, but Aang actively reacts to it. Guts can sight dodge it, maybe react to it, Aang can definitely react to and redirect it. He also has far better battlefield control with Earth and Airbending. In the current manga I believe Guts had more or less given up on revenge until Griffith returned. Aang can incap, then try to talk down. Failing that, go for the knockout, or just flee if Guts activates the armor and can't really be incapacitated
  2. That is true, but to me comparing top tiers in the top universes has become kind of impossible. Everyone at the top is some kind of universal+ and so the fights tend to come down to other factors. DB characters tend to out speed non-speeder comic characters, but I think being able to take multiple characters on that upper level at the same time gives Thanos an advantage in endurance and raw power, plus his experience and Frieza's arrogance should give him a good opening
  3. Weird that I haven't seen this matchup before. It makes sense. Depending on interpretation either could be argued to be stronger, faster, etc. What's unquestionable is that Thor has much more experience, much higher Battle IQ, and is much more experienced with a vastly wider variety of foes. Death Battle puts Thor solidly above Vegeta, and I tend to agree with that assessment, and DB scaling tends to be very linear. 95% of the time, Vegeta > Gohan in just about every way. I like Thor here
  4. Assuming 616 Thanos, I back him here. Even in his base he's a good match for all of the Avengers, who are generally on the other of the strongest Z Fighters. Frieza is a lot less of a cunning fighter I think as well. Thanos has experience, strength, and durability. Frieza has range and probably speed. I think Thanos should take it
  5. I still think Bruce takes it handily. Batman isn't L. He has far better tools and gadgets to catch Light in the act, he would understand how the notebook works and find a way to set it up so Light thinks Bruce is still in Gotham. Light is smart, but Bruce is a top tier genius in a world of people with supercomputers in their brains, the ability to understand information in a fraction of a second, and people who literally read minds
  6. I mean this feels pretty one sided. Chief's enemies looks like toys compared to Brainiac. I don't see how he can do anything here
  7. I love Guts, but literally what chance does he have here? If it was bone claw Wolverine, he might stand a chance, but there's just nothing he can do here
  8. One of the major things that Death Battle got wrong in this fight is that Alucard's regeneration is far stronger at its base than most people think. He doesn't actually have to expend a soul unless he would otherwise die, which only happens if his heart is destroyed. We see this in his final fight with Walter, where he is clearly regenerating despite losing all of his souls against Anderson. With that in mind, he's actually far, far harder to kill than they gave him credit for, and killing him multiple times within the use of his time stop would only count as one soul regardless, because his body can't regenerate. He can also be far more clever and harder to catch than they give him credit for. Finally, the difference in AP between the two is massive. Vs Battle Wiki (not the best source) puts Alucard at Large Town level while DIO is only at Large Building+. And none of this is even mentioning Schrodinger. I just feel that if you really interpret the characters properly, Alucard would be able to land a hit eventually despite the speed difference (which I think is also overblown) and that would pretty much be the end
  9. Between his shields, his heavy armor, and Krogan's natural strength and resilience, Wrex should be fine
  10. I'd give it to Wrex. Krogan are built like rhinos, he's got advanced tech, his shields will protect him from the stealth, and he has biotics too. If he can fight an Asari Justicar for days on end, he can take this
  11. I remember Spear and Fang struggling substantially at sea. I have no doubt they could survive the encounter with their wit and teamwork but if the only way to win is by killing them I don't see how they would do it
  12. I see this as a rock paper scissors situation. Ekko beat Jinx in season 1, and with his upgrades and the ability to break time he definitely still wins. Jayce doesn't have the range to beat Jinx, but Ekko fights up close and doesn't know Jayce like he knows Jinx. It's possible he would get tagged although not super likely. Overall I think if it's standard equipment Jinx favors guns and has her speed burst. If it's all equipment and resources Ekko takes it with his mobility, knowledge of Jinx, and rewind mechanic
  13. Actually DK was immune to mind control in one of the games. He's up there physically with the others as well. DK may just hard carry his team
  14. I would say Rogue has more control over her elastic powers. Being able to morph into other people is a lot of control. However, Elastigirl has really good stats and is a seasoned fighter. I'm not sure yet but I'm probably leaning Rouge
  15. Fun idea, and I like that you highlighted two of the lesser known Disney Princess-adjacent characters. Pretty well written and in season set up . As for the match, I think Sally has a lot of advantages. She has experience with vampires, and can detach her limbs to do tasks remotely. Plus she has vague clairvoyant powers which might be helpful is can brew makeshift potions in a pinch. She's less physically inclined but she's also probably immune to being turned I would think, right?
