Hey guys! I have been trying to choose someone to spotlight as the Member of the Month based on their contributions to the website. Previous Member of the months include @broadwaybeyonder, @JohnnyChany, and most recently @Peypeypeypey. I picked them in June, July and September respectively, but in August when I could not get my schedule to work with me, I left it up to you guys to choose a future member of the month and you chose me! I do thank you all for that, but I wanted to do something a bit different this month as well, I'll get to that in a bit so stay a bit and read on . First I'm going to explain why I chose to step in and keep the website alive when I did, and what it means to me. In 2020, I revisited MagneticFox after some years of not participating just based on pure nostalgia. I had been talking to my wife about how I used to write and looked up some of my old setups (Ah how I thought I could write, turns out I was actually pretty bad at it and had fun laughing at myself.) But then, I saw a post referencing the ElectricFerret revival and so I jumped back onto the forum and again let my nostalgia whisk me away. I have fond memories of debating on these forums with other members such as @Nesh @C.T. @ND7 @DamagingRob @Skirmisher and many others. I know I was always a bit of a Dragon Ball nerd (and still am) but that didn't matter here, I was in a place where nerds belonged. In 2021 Fox had announced his wish to retire from the website and either hand it off or close it down. Now truth be told I was not the only one who stepped up and hoped to keep the site online, @Z451 being one of the others that come to mind. And honestly, I didn't care who the site went to, I just couldn't let it go away again. You see to me, this site wasn't just a place for nerds to me, it wasn't just nostalgia to me, it was an escape from reality. In 2007 I was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma Disease, I was told at that time I had really only months left to live. Spoiler alert, but, Judging by the way I type here now, that doctor was very much wrong on his assessment that he was "999%" sure of and it just turned out to be Cat Scratch disease which went away in a couple of months. However, in those few months, I shut myself away from the world, constantly trying to escape what I thought was the end and I buried my mind into anime and comics, constantly ignoring everything to get that last bit of enjoyment I could squeeze before I would inevitably get sick from treatments. That is when I stumbled upon ElectricFerret while searching for "Goku vs. Superman" (Yes, really) and fell fast onto this site. This site was The first thing I would go to when I got home from school and the last thing I would check when going to bed. @Fox probably didn't even know this, but he had given me a very real thing to give this kid who thought he was dying something to look forward to each night. In 2013 when it shut down, I was not as active as I had been before having a lot of things going on in my life at that time to really notice, so when I check in on the site and realized it was gone, It sucked, but I moved on. Fast forward to 2021, and this time I had a chance to save this site. I have worked in childcare most of my career and just the idea that something as dumb as a nerdy website giving a kid out there that breath of life they needed really needed stuck in my mind. I couldn't let this site disappear again. Fox warned me how hard this was going to be for someone not fully experienced especially in the languages needed to run the site. Boy have I been humbled the past year thinking I could just figure it out as I went along. I have made many errors so far, even knocking the website completely offline for an entire weekend in February. Fox stepped in each time and helped me (I'm sure it's super annoying when I mess up, especially since he just wants to be done with the site already heh.) He never expected anything in return and for that, I can't thank him enough. So, I decided that I would take this post as a chance to tell why I have kept MagneticFerret going, and why I will continue to do so for as long as I can. I wanted to thank everyone who helped me do so, and everyone who didn't ditch the site when it had a change of ownership. But I also wanted to share a fun update on something else happening. Going forward the Member of The Month will not be chosen by me, it will be chosen by you guys! If you would like to nominate someone, simply message me and tell me why, I will pick ONE nomination and pursue that! One last thing, I have made it clear that I really wish to have a certain part of the website up and running again, but it takes a lot of time to fully understand these things and after a year of trying and failing to truly understand how much time it takes to put into this, I have decided to pursue getting a certificate in coding which will help my understanding on how this all operates and not just on a "keep it alive" basis. I have plans to update and expand the site even more but those such updates will take time so please bear with me a bit longer. However, something fun recently happened and older user @Paru reached out to me about getting his username back online, he hadn't logged in in 12 YEARS, so to make sure I was doing it right I reached out to Fox for some advice. He not only answered my question but has offered a bit more help. Help that will allow me to say this... The CBUB Fantasy Draft Returns in October 2023!!! (More news on that VERY soon!) Thank you all!7 points

Hi everybody! The CBUB you see before you now is the result of your donations and your desire for this site to be on the Internet. If not for you, it would not be. Like many of you I was confined to my house during Covid and this website came to the rescue with some fun content with old and new friends. I hope it continues! At this point I have turned over the keys, so to speak, to the new management. And so, having fulfilled my obligations, it is now time to say Goodbye to you as as I return to my retirement. You will wish to work with @IKA on the direction of this site, which is really in your hands now because, it was your money right? All that said... I remain in a technical advisory role because there will be questions about how to work this thing. So you will see me around. You can even message me. But Fantasy Drafts, Story Writing Contests and all that other fun stuff - it's in your hands now. The site can only be as good as the effort you put into it and the community who cares for it. As far as communities go, this one is small but powerful! Shine on you crazy diamonds. -Fox7 points

2024 was a year of reworking and fixing. We did more challenges and tournaments than any previous year since the site changed hands, and we even successfully changed domains to Comicbookuniversebattles.com! 2025 will be a year of growth for the site. I plan to being more traction to the site and in order to do that a few promises have to be kept. 1: Beginning in January - Monthly Flash Fiction challenges will be returning! - DONE 2: Month long voting matches will be returning - this function will only be used by Fox and myself. They will be hosted on the forums instead of the back issues. - CURRENTLY TESTING 3: Social Media usage - they've all been made but never really used. It is my promise to make full use of these assets in 2025. - IN PROCESS 4: The Fantasy Draft will return in January - I intend to run them 2 or 3 times a year going forward. - IN PROCESS 5: Site patreon - I know I know.. but the site requires a lot of work, and money to keep running, and to ensure the ability to keep it up, I will be launching a patreon where you guys can see the planned updates, and official work being put into the site. There will be a $1, $5 and $10 option with various bonuses for each. (Stay tuned for details on that.) - DONE These are but 5 things, but I intend to do much more than that. Thank you everyone!5 points

Yes absolutely correct, have enough to extend our community for another year, we'll see where we land after that. The new domain has already been put up and while the servers are not put up to reflect that, I'm just waiting on the image as each day I purchase in advance is a day way lose near the end. I'd like to try and put it online as close to May 2nd as comfortably possible. That said the Gofundme is still up and all funds will go into a side account to put towards the future of CBUB. Let's not say our goodbyes just yet5 points

Huh, last I checked, the current lease, if it's not renewed, should actually run out in April: So, unless something's changed since Fox made this post, barring someone else taking over right after the fact, we may actually have just over another month. Also, we may want to give IKA a chance at running things, since he's been taking steps to give it a shot.5 points

Hi All. It has been maybe 7 months since re-opening the site. Thanks for hanging out and participating! Here's some of the things that I'm looking at for the site in the new year. Monthly Flash Fiction Tournaments - monthly tournament will resume with a new Rating system. The 5 star rating system that the forum has is cool but too limited. There is just not enough flexibility in the Forum 5-Star System to give more fine grained scores (like, say, a 4.5 or 4.6). So the Tournaments will return when I build a new rating mechanism for our wonderful Match Judges to use. Fantasy Teams - the fantasy teams has been fun, I think. It is an evolving system, and is getting updates and changes based on feedback of it. We'll keep on playing and improving it as we go! CBUB Database - There are several Wikis out there which have data about the characters that are in the CBUB Database. I'm hoping to connect to those Wikis and use their data to make the entries in the CBUB database easier to use in battles. The VS Battles Wiki is one that could be really useful. Other Stuff - I'll keep fixing things or adding features when you bring them to my attention, of course. Just let me know. You can, of course, use the site features like the Blog section to post things that interest you. I use mine for the occasional Anime review. I would like the site to be the best it can be at what it is! All that said... the CBUB has returned to a very different world than the one it left. As far as getting new members goes, this is probably about as good as it gets. I point this out because some of you have asked or mentioned it. I've tried running ads and so forth - it's money down the drain to no effect. This is a very niche kind of website and this is not the halcyon days of the 1990's when comics were king and the internet was young. Anyways, this site is here because you asked for it to be here - and as long as you are entertained by it, that's really all that matters to me, personally. I'll just keep doing what I do and trying to make it better. Thanks!5 points

I feel as though I have not been actively letting everyone know what I am working on enough. I promise some good things are coming, exactly when is dependent on when I feel the code is 100% solid enough not to wipe all of our hard work. Fox has been very generous in helping me to understand how to modify aspects of the site, while I also have tried on my own how to update and push new code in. Anyway, here are some updates that will be executed soon - 1) Fantasy Drafts - It comes as no surprise that I have been working on bringing back the drafts, They will remain very similar to how they have always been done before. (Coming When I feel comfortable not knocking everything offline. Soon.) 2) CBUB "How to" - As our site grows, so will the questions on how the site works. While our site Veterans have been VERY supportive - and I can't be thankful enough for that - soon a forum will be made explaining all the ins and outs of "How To" on CBUB. 3) Locations - In each setup, it is expected for the writer to describe the location in which their competition is taking place. With the addition of locations, this will make Rumbles easier to quickly post and add an optional extra for our CBUB Matches to fall back on should a reader not know of a certain location. Locations will have their own section in the database which will be put in similar to how characters are entered now, only this will be optional and not a requirement for set-ups. (This one is going to take a while) 4) Tournaments - While our 1st challenge is underway, before now this would have more closely resembled how "Tournaments" would have worked before. Going Forward, Tournaments will be reworked to include brackets and add a layer of competitive writing amongst our members. (Coming VERY soon) 5) 2024 - At the very least I am pleased to say I have secured funding to keep the site alive for an additional year passed what we expected, may it live long past that. 6) 2025 - Working so secure our future. I will add more to this list as time rolls on and take out what has been added. Successfully implemented: "ReadMore" Ads (Yes I know, I know) ) Nevermind, they were actually really annoying. WE FINALLY HAVE THE MAIN PAGE BACK! CBUB Tutorials CBUB Writer's Challenges, Tournaments, and the likes. We'll be here until at least May 2024 (Donations may be necessary to live passed that.) Repost - Will occasionally repost 3 random matches from the CBUB Archive, All rumble, original creators credited. Finally figured out how to delete images, will be fixing profiles. Dark Mode / Light Mode + New Theme at bottom of page. Background additions to be added. (Can switch between newly created background and classic EF) CBUB New theme is now old theme, we have returned to Dreadnought 2.3.4 (Just has more options, widget broke on other them.) (CBUB will remain as optional theme at bottom of website.) Various other parts of the website have been restored, images regained, and links put back. (More to be added soon.) Restored some old FPL profiles (for viewing purposes only.) Logo switched out, emblems changed. Some main page cosmetic updates (A lot more soon to follow now that I figured it out.) Updated top match creators to only include those who have posted 10 or more matches.4 points

I know I'm sounding like a broken record now, but if you guys wouldn't mind, please click this link and join as many of the pages MagneticFerret is linked to as possible. It will go a long way to making sure I can keep this website going into the future. I'm not a rich guy, I scraped the bottom of the bank accounts to keep the dream alive. I would greatly appreciate it. https://www.twitch.tv/themagneticferret https://discord.gg/tJK84jkW6w https://www.patreon.com/MagneticFerret?fan_landing=true https://www.facebook.com/TheMagneticFerret/ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_Kh23bJGJ2NvcupAISlzlQ4 points

So, as you all may know by now, the CBUB is either going to shut down, or get transferred over to new ownership in March. In case the site does go into shutdown, I thought I would go ahead and make this topic. Well, I have enjoyed being back on the site. It has been nice seeing old friends again, as well as making new ones. I was glad I was able to work more on my Zombie Power Rangers arc. Sorry to say I won’t be able to finish it. I have enjoyed reading the matches that were made by other writers. The Fantasy Seasons were really good. Happy to see characters that I have added over the years were being used in matches. I am going to miss the CBUB. But who knows, maybe the site will run another year or more. We’ll just see how things go. If this is the end, I would like to say goodbye to everyone. You all are great people. 🙂4 points

Feels like I missed the memo about getting back on here in 2020. EF was always that one site that I kept in the back of my mind as the internet seemed to devour itself and forums went the way of social media and reddit (both of which I enjoy). I hope everyone is still having fun writing and reading good things. Staying safe during this pandemic and whatnot. Like everyone has said, so much can change in 7-8 years. Glad I was on here back in the day though.4 points

A lot of us FPLers have kept in touch through Facebook, Twitter, and Discord since things wound down back in... 2013? Looks like some of y'all CBUBers did the same over at Magnetic Fox and likely in other places. That said, not everyone's been in touch, so... what's been going on with y'all? I got promoted at my job, then subsequently screwed over and fired from said job back in 2018. Moved to Las Vegas for a bit after that to work for Amazon. Moved back here to San Antonio, because running off to live alone in a different state to "find myself" wasn't working AT ALL. And a guy can only play slots so much before it goes from being fun to becoming the worst sort of temptation. I'm still working for Amazon (hey, no job disruptions during this virus mess, but I still have to GO OUT FOR WORK). The shift from working an office desk job from 2003-2018 to doing major physical work 40 hours a week was a bit of a shock, but it's also put me in my best physical health since I was in, like, high school. It's strange to say that I feel better now at 41 than I did when I Was 21 when this place was still fairly new, but it's true. I still write about anime, movies, and the like. I set up a new site a few years ago, Shin Mecha Guignol, that I updated sporadically. Been a couple of months since my last post, but I had a burst of activity at the beginning of the year before EVERYTHING happened. I also do quickie gut reaction movie reviews on Letterboxd. I've written some fiction stuff, and am currently working on getting something up online for it all, but it'll be a bit. I've also delved into writing table top RPG stuff. Got two small games roughly done, but neither's in a state where they can go public just yet. So, you know, COMING SOON. Maybe. Overall, life still kinda sucks. No more than before, just in different ways. But what else are you gonna do? Any other options involve not watching cartoons, and that's unacceptable.4 points

Hmm, well I guess if you were going to do something with these two characters together, then this would be that thing. And now, Ted spectates the match...4 points

The site is open. Registration is open. The core features seem to work regarding Matches (start and stop) and adding Characters. The Forum has a lot of features. It's pretty fun. Changes: Rated matches now occur via the Stars rating 'Rate This Topic'. Any forum member can rate a Rated Match ... and are encouraged to do so! Members titled as CBUB Match Judge get their ratings counted X3. Points by rank There's still 5 ranks, with 5 being lowest and 1 highest. There used to be an arcane system whereby certain ranks could only be achieved after a certain number of matches had been created. That's all been removed. It's just a flat system based on your current weighted average regardless of number of matches. Added more points to rank 5 so newbies can make more matches. now 4, up from 2. So anyways, it works. It's probably not a great website to try and use on a Mobile phone. It's only been open a couple days. Could be awhile before there's more people here. I'll look into repairing the Fantasy Draft system. Maybe we can get one going in a couple weeks. Thanks!4 points

I will use this give info on any changes of note made. - You should be able to change your Display Name now, in your Account Options (not Profile options) - Most old Moderators removed. New Moderators are the ones who volunteered. - Removed the Adult Board. Removed Silver Surfer's Board.4 points

Hello everyone! For nearly three decades this website has been a place for users around the world to freely express themselves through their creative works of cross over fiction and debate about whether their favorite characters can kick your favorite characters butt! The site has evolved a lot since its inception Halloween 1997, starting with He-Man vs Callisto a battle so intense that history has erased the final score, you can still visit this in the CBUB Back Issues! Later it would expand to include message boards, and then rumbles so users could create their own battles! Not long after that the rated section of the board was created to allow users to compete amongst each other to see who could kick the other's metaphorical butt in a battle of who can write a better butt kicking contest. This site thrives on its users, and more so giving it's users more ways to express themselves, and perhaps more important than that, do it all while keeping it FREE for everyone. As some of you may know I gained ownership of the site in 2023 through the blessing of the sites creator, he has retired from the site, but still on occasion comes back to check on things and offer technical help and opinions on how to make the site even better! For this I will be eternally grateful! Since then I have been hard at work making the site have a better look and feel for its current users, and expanded many utilities of the site! However, as I mentioned previously, this site thrives on expanding your ability to express your creativity and today I am please to share the next step in that evolution! Today marks the site's push into webcomics with Worlds Collide Marvel Heroes vs Z Fighters releasing exclusively onto Comicbookuniversebattles.com with this the ability to make and post webcomics will become available to ALL members free of charge. These webcomics will have no paywall attached! In addtion as chapter release it will be covered by the popular Youtube Channel Mondo Cool, where he covers fan made Dragon Ball Web comics! What does this mean for you? More Free Content! More Ways to to create! More Eyes on your content! Click Here to read the first volume!3 points

Ties are definitely faster and have more firepower than a UH1 Iroquois. They also probably won’t do the dumb thing all pilots do in Kaiju movies and fly close to the giant monster. TIEs will strafe from a distance and climb back up keeping out of reach. Kong might get lucky and hit a few with thrown objects but in the end the firepower will end him. But technically it won’t be the TIEs that got him, it was beauty that killed the beast. Looking at you Mandy.3 points

THE BOTTOM LINE An excerpt from the memoirs of Benoit Blanc. I don’t know what disappoints me more: my tardiness in detailing my investigations or the quality of the investigation itself. I do not mean to say that I would consider bringing a corrupt detective to justice something to sneeze at. But this particular case was not so much a donut whose hole needed to be filled. Rather this entire affair was so straightforward it could be considered a Danish. Or perhaps, given the guilty party, a bear claw would be more zoologically appropriate? Being pointed in the direction of McGruff by the sheriff, it didn’t take me long before I was able to tail him to one of his many rendezvous. He was meeting with a group of local vagabonds, exchanging a box of evidence for a satchel of money. It saddened my heart to see such a loyal friend of a police department go to the dogs. So to speak. Following a search of his one room apartment, wherein I uncovered more stolen evidence and files, I quickly alerted the sheriff to have a warrant made out for McGruff’s arrest. He attempted to ‘skip town’, but he was apprehended by the town’s K9 unit. Proving that not all police dogs share McGruff’s greedy, treacherous nature. After that, there isn’t much left to be written. The townsfolk were grateful for my assistance in bringing McGruff and the rest of his lackeys to justice. They even gave me a bronze plaque and the key to the city. But something within still longs for a more challenging case for me to undertake. But then again, maybe I should take some time to rest myself. Ready my mind for the next endeavor awaiting Benoit Blanc. Perhaps somewhere abroad? I hear Greece is lovely this time of year.3 points

Hello everyone, I wanted to update all of you about the goings on. CBUB and the Forums - will be switching to MagneticFerret.com in the coming days. MOST of how the site is experienced now will remain the same with only some minimal changes. The Logo will be changed, some rules will be switch up and the website WILL contain targeted ads. Updates to the site will come slow at first while I attempt to learn the code, It has been some time since I fully delved into code and I don't want to make any mistakes that will be a hinderance, so changes will only be made when they are done so with confidence. Everything should be ported over so there should be nothing to worry about things missing. I would like to extend an extra bit of gratitude to Fox as he is allowing the site to live on even though he is retiring from the website, he could have simply closed up shop and taken the site with him. It would have been way easier for him to do that. He is not charging for me to take the site off his hands either so this is only possible due him being completely selfless. All that being said, I will do my best to keep or corner of the net as close as possible to the way we know and love it to be. Please feel free to ask questions below and I will answer them as I know the answer myself! Thanks, IKA3 points

Codpiece would simply blow open the door to the museum and escape while disorienting the police officers using his sonic weapon. He'll punch anyone who gets in his way. He'll rocket them. He's unstoppable. Stilt Man stands no chance.3 points

I see Vandal Savage coming out on top in this scenario and thus becoming a worthy arch nemesis for Nancy Drew who then devotes her entire life and several books to finally taking down the ageless criminal.3 points

Some really tight competition this month. You nerd team captains are really getting the hang of this. You've all got an eye for talent. Join us again on Friday Nov. 27 when the draft for Season 6 opens.3 points

First I want to thank God and Meryl Streep. I'd like to thank DC Comics for making Batman a stupidly OP character. I'd like to thank the system for giving my characters generally favorable matchups and scenarios. And I'd like to thank my opponents, who drafted such shitty strong teams to contend with.3 points

One day, several weeks ago, at the Church of Healing Unity soup kitchen Komi was doing her usual job of helping to feed the needy who came in, and some of the acolytes too, as they often ate there as well, to socialize and evangelize the beggars who came in. It came to pass that a particular winged tiefling was the last in line for the meal. He smiled a lot and always tried to talk to Komi but she was too shy so far to respond. This time - panic! He was the last in line, so there was no one else to focus on! When he asked if she would sit with him and eat, there was no way she could refuse! Numbly, she nodded and grabbed the lunch she'd packed for herself - that she intended to eat out on the balcony, alone, and followed him to whatever table he chose to go to. Komi had yet to say a word. She had never been among the people who scorned him, at least among their peer group. Though it was mostly an attitude carried over from the more conservative members of the faith, nonetheless it had been something picked up by everyone else. As though a tiefling was something to be hated, despised and even feared. Nothing open of course, there were far too many eyes for it. It was little things. Teachers would ignore him when he had questions or mock him if he didn't know the material. He'd practice alone or with those who didn't feel that way, scarce as they were. Food would sometimes be burned or over salted when given...Little things. But not from her. His food was never harmed when he came in line after finishing his work here, though she had yet to speak back. They were in the same age group he knew that much, though growing up she had always been quiet too.She never laughed at him anyway. That put her in the clear minority. Now finally, here they were...Eating together before he finally spoke. "I'm going to leave in a week." Komi stared at him for a long moment before saying, softly, "You shouldn't quit. I think you are a very sweet person." She was blushing furiously and looking down at the remains of her lunch. She had a very artfully crafted charcuterie of meats, cheeses and delicate bread slices that she'd meticulously assemble into tiny sandwiches one at a time. There was only enough left for a couple more of these at this point. "You shouldn't let bullies run you off." She added, staring firmly at a particular piece of bread that was vaguely heart-shaped. He blinked and then smiled warmly at her. "That's sweet of you to say. But that's not why I'm leaving...Well, not entirely." His fingers stroked the handle of his sword in a contemplative gesture as he spoke on. "I'm taking my Quest for Truth early. The Abbot thinks I'm ready and so do I. I figured I'd start off in Eastrun City." He took a few bites of his food, swallowed and went on. "They're having a shortage of adventurers and I figured I could hone my skills and start off there with Jessamine." There was so much to unpack there. She had been told she was ready for her Quest for some time now, but she was too meek to go on her own. The embarrassment continued when he mentioned Jessamine. "Jessamine is your... girlfriend then?" She kept her eyes off of him, busying herself with making her next mini sandwich. He snorted with laughter. "No. She's my partner." He held up his sword as he added dryly. "After Master Jinn took me to....Er, celebrate my eighteenth birthday I found her in a corner calling to me. She's a spirit who lives in my sword and loves to flirt with me for some reason. I expect its mostly just a reaction." There were at least four blinks before Komi spoke, and the bonnet on her head seemed to ride higher than usual. If Corvo was observant enough, he'd make out the outlines of the Neko ears that manifested when she was exceptionally startled or surprised. She knew she had to say something so she offered up a random fact about herself. "I'm nineteen, myself." He smiled. "Me too. I've had her for a year now and some months." He placed the sword back and leaned forward as he added. "I know it's normal to wait. But I feel ready. And I didn't want to leave without saying goodbye to possibly one of my few friends here." If it were possible, her eyes widened further. "I'm.... I'm your friend?" She looked at him for a moment before she looked down again and devoured her second-to-last sandwich so she'd have an excuse not to say anything more. Only one excuse left. She thought to herself. He blinked and then looked briefly unsettled as he asked. "I'm sorry if I made a mistake. It's just...Well, never mind then." Her mouth opened. No words came out. Quick! Do something! Her inner voice told her. So she grabbed his hand, almost violently. Words would not come, so she just nodded furiously, which caused her bonnet to slip back, revealing the extra set of ears that showed up now and then, followed by a squeak as she used her free hand to attempt to cover them up, to little avail. Oh. That was forward. He could feel his sword almost burning, though curiosity compelled him to look closer. His free hand reached out, gently tugging off her bonnet as he blinked. "...Are you like me?" There was a brief note or wonder in his tone before he chuckled and said warmly. "I like it. It's cute." Komi shrugged and shook her head. "...N-no. I don't think so anyway. Both my parents are human, but now and then... this happens. Maybe I have some tabaxi or... more likely, kitsune... in my lineage somewhere. I..." She paused and shrugged again. "...I can't control when it happens, and they go away after awhile. It's why I always wear a bonnet." Exceedingly self-conscious now, she realized she was holding his hand and jerked it back, as if she'd burned herself. "I... I think I'd like to be considered your friend, Corvo." He smiled, a little shy and quite happy. That was a turn of phrase he didn't hear often and it was nice to hear. He just wished it had been done sooner. He would have known her better as he said suddenly. "So when are you going on your quest?" She squeaked again. "...I don't know. I suppose soon, but I should give them time to find a replacement for me." She tapped her forefingers together. "What if I'm not ready? Do you think I'm ready? I could maybe... Find you in Eastrun?" He nodded. "Yes. I'll be there. If not working." Komi looked around nervously - as if she did much any other way, then leaned forward lightning-fast and kissed Corvo on the cheek. "For luck." She stood up. "I should go help them with the dishes." A quick bow and she was gone, fluttering back to the kitchen. One thing he did notice though, that when she retreated, the cat ears had disappeared again.3 points

Sorry for not commenting on this sooner! I think this was an excellent write-up and the framing of Khazan was great! The idea of characters like Jiren, Joker, and Saitama just casually standing around as Yang and Fixit throw hands is hilarious. Almost feels like it'd be the backdrop for a 2D-fighting game with Jiren paying the battle no mind, Saitama just wanting to get the paperwork done so he can catch up the latest sale in the Khazan Market, and Joker and Bell just wanting to make it out of here in one piece. I can't really say I speak as an authority on Joe but after doing some research on him, I feel like I'm leaning more towards him! Yang's punches are definitely gonna be felt given the feats we've seen her pull off like punching away a Ursa just as big-if not bigger than Joe or smashing a mecha built for war with nothing but her bare fists. Joe's best bet would be to try and place Yang into something of a submission hold and choke her out before letting this drag out for too long. Because if he gets stronger and stronger and gives Yang one good punch, he's not gonna like it when she returns that same level of PUNCH right back at him. Awesome write up, my friend. : )3 points

It's coming along. Just trying to get the new character submissions working again. With any good fortune, might be able to open up the CBUB control panel and site registrations tomorrow. Definitely want to do a CBUB Fantasy Draft again. Good times. I'll look at the FPL next. It's very complicated and could be a lot longer before that is available again.3 points
