Fun mix of people. Love it. After I stop fanboying Gambit, I still say team 1. Juri probably won't be outfought but when Gambit sees that she ain't no pushover he'll bring the explosives. Ruby Heart has a lot of distance attacks too even though most of it is game mechanics. I never did even look at the gameplay from Larcen Tyler but I remember everybody saying he was actually pretty good so he'll obviously contribute. That's my take.

Megastory 23.7 Previously: Learning that Gul Dukat had abandon his post to worship demons, the Cardassian Union requested the Pillar of Autum to destroy the long ship that Dukat was using. Dukat himself had revived the demon priest Mumm-Ra and first gone to recruite the Jaffa Warriors that once served him and then they took a Stargate to Galra space where Mumm-Ra intended to bring more back into his empire. “Target destroyed, sir. No prisoners.” Captain Keys reported. It was already in his official mission update but the brass liked the formality of stating the obvious. “Good work Captain.” said one of the brass. “The Cardassian Union owes us a favor.” “Do we have a mission objective for the planet? I have a contingent of Spartan solders that would be eager to see what these Jaffa warriors are made of. They’re even willing to go down without the Mojulner armor. Next batch of new characters making themselves known. Assassins Mirielle and Kirika accept a job to kill Chastity. Kirika is lied to by their employer believing that Mirielle is going to kill her too. Chastity has a divided pair coming at her but she still has to fight them both off even as they go at each other. Kimberly with Ashoka's powers and a pair of lightsabers? That's all team 1 needs. Comic Kimberly is something and this is before she becomes Ranger Slayer.

Well let's see... Zedd and Exar Kun are at half strength but they do have some add ons that don't really enhance them much. Still it's more gas in their tanks. Team 1 is a nice team, that could work together to overcome the more powerful team 2. They're mature enough to at least not hinder each other but true teamwork doesn't really fit them. Exar would dominate Ventress. Raven could hold Zedd off a minute but not beat him. Black Canary would vaporize Gooey Gus. But then Zedd blasts her in the back and stands back to let Exar Kun finish Ventress if he hasn't already. Team 2 wins.

The good news is that the modern comics utilize everybody so they don't really die to history.

Megastory 21.22 Previously: The crew of the RLS Legacy began a quest for the Thirteen Treasures of Rule. Under the direction of Prince Ren of Octopon- the crew split up to collect the first few. Tula took Moana and Kida to Atlantis to get the one there. The underwater city was attacked by Ursula and Kida joined with with the heart of Atlantis, which was actually one of the thirteen treasures, to fight the sea witch. Cracker Jack took Danny the Dog, Ioz, Cole Young and the mutant Spike, to get a treasure that was guarded by a demon. It turned out that Russia was also after the treasure lead by Serigei Dragunov. The injured Ren and Sakka stayed with the ship as they finished recovering. Along with Snow White. Bloth sent his new chief of operations- Don Karnage- to capture the Legacy. He lead a boarding party to take the ship, Karnage cornered Captain Amelia and successfully killed her. The legend of the ancient demon- The Dark Dweller- was old even by legendary standards. Ursula’s devotion to dark magic unintentionally drew the Dark Dweller’s attention. Her bitterness due to her exile by King Triton made her easy to subjugate. She gained him slight access to the world and his influence on her grew even as he began subverting others. The vile pirate- Bloth- was even easier than Usula. The Dark Dweller didn’t even have to possess him but he did it anyway. The Ancient Atlanteans whom had thwarted his attempt to consume the Earth in dark water had descendants in the present day. The priestess Kida posed the most threat to him and that is why he had Bloth kidnap her. Imagine the outrage when Ursula presented the very same woman to him as victory in getting a Treasure of Rule. “What is this?” asked the ancient demon. “The girl merged with the treasure master. I wasn’t sure of what to do.” “This is why I had Bloth imprison her. She had the potential to do this.” “The pirate failed you, master.” Ursula schmoozed. “I, at least, have the treasure.” “Indeed. He has fallen out of favor with me. Go and destroy him. Once you have eliminated him, the power I have given him. I will give to you. Leave this treasure-imbued female here.” ‘Here’ was Ursula’s mystic chamber. The place that she first contacted the Dark Dweller. To permanently punish Bloth, Ursula need air breathers. When the Atlantean warrior Galtar ventured into the outside world to fight an approaching evil, Ursula’s minions ambushed him and she infected him with dark water which allowed the Dark Dweller to take control. Uninterested in directing a run of the mill mortal warrior, the demon allowed the sea witch to command him. The underwater communication network was quiet different from the cell phone network of the surface world. It was this network that she used to communicate with her agents around the world. “Galtar. What are you doing now?” “I’m in pursuit of the prince of Octopon. He has the compass that can locate the Thirteen Treasures of Rule.” Ursula hadn’t heard of this compass. With it she could find all of the treasures and The Dark Dweller would not need anyone else. Only her. “Then carry on.” She said. Kill him, and bring me the compass.” That took Galtar out of her ‘Bloth’ plans. Luckily she had other resources. “Black Manta. I have a job for you.” The super villain had a hatred for another Atlantean King rivaling her’s for Triton. She had encountered him on undersea excavation and infected him with Dark Water. Seeing his potential usefulness in the future the Sea Witch was now rewarded for her foresight. “My men and I are ready.” the unhelmented Black Manta assured her. She didn’t know that he had a little militia. All the better. “The pirate Bloth is to be killed.” “His resources?” the pirate in Black Manta wondered. “I don’t care. I just want him dead and kill anyone who fights to defend him.” “We’ll get it done.” Assuming Bloth’s coming demise, Ursula shifted her attention to other rivals. The surface nation Russia had acquired two treasures already. Learning of their success, Ursula wanted to know how these people knew where the treasures were. As that avenue of information was being processed, she needed to show these surface dwellers that just because they acquired two treasures didn’t mean they permanent owners. A brutal attack was in order. This was an opportunity for her to call upon her people. * * * * * As unexpected as that attack was, the Russian response was quit decisive. The Winter Guard arrived before even the military. Undersea aggressors stormed as frosty waterfront. The lack of motivation or even a logical target didn’t restrain the Russian super team’s resolve. Red Guardian assessed the situation and made the call. “There’s not a lot of them but we know that these Homo mermaus people are strong and durable! Darkstar, Crimson Dynamo. Contain the battlefield! Don’t let the fighting go outside of a one mile perimeter! Ursa Major! You and I will protect civilians! Vanguard. You take the pressure! Put down anyone in your path. We’ll drive everything your way! The rest of us will assist as necessity and opportunity come up! Winter Guard to action!” Fight Parameters: The Winter Guard attempt to repel a surprise attack by an under sea militia. About ten guys.
