Just wanted to say I really dig Slot 1 and using VS Battle Wiki tiers. There was a lot of room to pick a variety of characters and it really mixes up this season. I'm looking forward to those matches and hope we can do at least one slot this way in the tournaments to come.

It's pretty useful.  I was considering giving it a real test next season and going Seven Slots - Seven Tiers.  But we'll see.

Considering I have Carol Danvers on my team, just want to clarify, I'm talking her as Captain Marvel.

My understanding from looking at the page is that the Comics version of Captain Marvel is in that range.  The character has had a few versions so has to be the Tier 5 version.

I was looking at this version:  https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/A.M.A.Z.O._(DCAU)

Wow, whoever drafted him should never lose in that slot.

Aw, well, time to go to work ...

If it's strictly the DCAU version then it's not as bad. I remember when Luthor was creating a new body from the same design it got melted with ease, and AMAZO in DCAU, while powerful, never really goes up against comic level characters. I'd argue that version can probably be ripped apart by some of the powerhouses in tier 5.

And if anyone picks a character that uses magic they should beat AMAZO handily.

That is the profile image so I assumed that's the version we are talking about.  Obviously, the Tier 4 version is out of bounds for this slot.

Is that all correct @Mercenaryblade

Idk. I've seen a few in Tier 5 that could win.

Last I checked, the DCAU version of A.M.A.Z.O. is still the most powerful version of all. His only real weakness was to chaos magic, and I don't know how many characters have access to that specific art.

I seriously hope you don't plan on using this as an argument against him. The body Luthor was working on was still just a prototype and hadn't yet absorbed any powers or been made sentient, so unlike the original A.M.A.Z.O., it was very much a sitting duck.

VS Wiki lists the post-crisis version as more powerful. Besides blinking Oa away, all the powers we see in the DCAU scale to the cartoon, and the cartoon characters are much less powerful than their comic counterparts.

More referencing that the body is not indestructible. A good shot from a powerful opponent can harm it.

Well, I guess a lot can change in fourteen years.

Eh, I still wouldn't count on that. As mentioned, the prototype hadn't absorbed any abilities, so it had none of the durability, shielding, etc. of the original.

BTW, @Fox, since these are slots from previous Drafts, will each slot have the same challenges at they did in their original Drafts?

Ah, just figured out how to tag. :D

Mostly, yes.  I might add some more in some cases.  In the case of Geniuses, it is a slot that did not have challenges, so I will make some.

I did not Deny the people picking Wrestlers as their Entertainers, but I'm just pointing out that none of the Entertainer challenges have anything to do with wrestling.  I'm not sure why people are choosing wrestlers if they've seen the Entertainer challenges from Season 5.

Funny enough, I considered Asuka but as much as I love, I don't think wrestlers could give me an advantage. So I picked Puffy Ami Yumi instead.

People are still picking specialists ... * shakes head *

That's a fairly big reason a lot of folks fall behind in these Drafts (and it's part of what cost me last time around).

If you don't mind me asking, what chance does my team have?

Hi folks, first timer to the Fantasy Teams so apologies if this has already been answered: are transformers allowed for slot 4?

And agree with the above comments, definitely weird to see Amazo from DCAU in tier 5; can't remember the show exectly but I vaguely recall him defeating most of the JL at the beginning by basically absorbing every power he saw. And then went on a merry trip around the universe and became a god. Weird.

It depends.

In general I think yes a Transformer is a Giant Robot and can compete in the Slot.  However, some Transformers like the planet sized Unicron do not work here.

Cool! Yes, assumed Unicron was out, but the rest should measure up to the slot. Thanks.
