Jack Frost would have to use everything in his arsenal to get the Djinn rehabilitated, up to and including threatening him with being locked up in the fire opal (would Jack know about the existence of this prison?) The thing that is the most interesting to me is the fact that the Djinn is not really insane or childish in nature (maybe the Christmas themed characters would have an easier time with horror icons like that), but he is actively showcasing the hatred he harbors for God. And since Christmas is so inherently linked to Jesus, and by extension to God, he would have no reason to see the error in his ways in the first place cause the light of Heaven is something that has already failed the task.

It begins ... :D

I'm pretty sure the Djinn isn't the rehabilitating type. I could fairly easily see him turn Jack's intentions against him in the form of a corrupted wish.

Just watch Frost blurt out that he wishes for the Djinn to turn a new leaf, only for the latter to "grant" that wish in a twisted, evil way.
