Marissa leaned in with the motion of her punch, thrusting her large right fist downward to firmly strike her opponent with a solid punch. However, she ultimately wound up instead striking nothing but the floor of the arena as her smaller, perhaps nimbler opponent side-stepped to her right. Marisa quickly pulled her arm back and she turned to meet the red masked Terrapin, now thrusting her left arm out before swinging out with her right as she aimed to strike at Michelangelo’s face with the jab and the hook punch. Like before, the Turtle managed to evade the incoming strikes as he hunched down from the jab and leaned back away from the hook punch. Marisa leaned forward, snapping her right leg out in a front kick aimed at Michelangelo’s mid-section but the Turtle again side-stepped, this time moving at Marisa’s left. The woman growled before she advanced again, swinging hook punches aimed out for the mutant Turtle’s head but Michelangelo quickly ducked and weaved away from the incoming fists. Contorting her face in mild frustration, Marisa clasped her hands together before she shifted with a step and swung both hands down in a double hammer fist strike, intending on slamming her fist onto the back of her opponent.

But Michelangelo again side-stepped around his larger opponent before turning in spin and then snapped his left leg back out in a back thrust kick, aimed out for Marisa’s back. The Turtle struck the modern Gladiator onto her back, forcing her to briefly lose her footing and causing her to stumble forward. Michelangelo chuckled as he shook his head, now spinning his twin nunchaku in his hands before moving them up and then down, catching the chained clubs underneath his arms.

“Are you going to just evade me? Are you not going to fight?!” Marisa yelled.

Marisa lunged towards the Turtle, and she snapped her left leg out once more in a front kick. But Michelangelo side-stepped to her right and shifted in with a step. Quickly, Michelangelo now spun the nunchaku in his right hand vertically upward, now firmly striking the large modern Gladiator directly up in the chin. Marisa grunted in discomfort and pain as Michelangelo succeeded in getting a strike in. He swung the nunchaku in his left hand horizontally across to the right and back across to the left, again hitting the modern Gladiator directly in her mid-section. Marisa again grunted with each strike landing down onto her, but she would power through the strikes as she then swung her right leg horizontally to the left, attacking with a mighty roundhouse kick for the Turtle’s body. Instead, Michelangelo pushed himself up with his legs only to throw his weight forward as he somersaulted over Marisa’s leg, and he curled himself into a ball as gravity pulled him to the ground. He rolled along the ground, giving himself from distance before rolling onto his feet.

“Stop running and fight!” Marisa yelled in frustration.

“And fight your fight? Nah!” Michelangelo mockingly smiled while shaking his head.

Marisa charged at Michelangelo, and she moved her arms out in an effort to grab at the mutant Red Ear Slider, but Michelangelo again leaned forward and curled himself into a ball, now rolling along the arena floor past Marisa’s feet and then set himself to his feet, rising while Marisa quickly turned to face her opponent. Michelangelo quickly twirled both his nunchaku upwards, spinning them furiously as he struck Marisa in the chin once more, and then swung them down only to beat them firmly onto the larger woman’s chest. The modern Gladiator woman grunted as the Turtle managed to land another blow onto her, but she worked to power through the punishment. She tensed up the muscles within her entire body, now summoning the vast strength she held within. Quickly, she leaned forward and then thrust her right arm out to deliver a powerful straight punch directly into Michelangelo’s mid-section.

“GLADIUS!”

Marisa’s fist connected with Michelangelo’s plastron protected chest. The force of the blow was more than enough to send the Turtle crashing down onto his carapace and he gasped out in immediate pain. He had known that his opponent was incredibly strong, that much was obvious from just looking at her, but he hadn’t considered that she had the potential to be that quick when she needed to be. Marisa came running towards Michelangelo and she pounced forward as she raised her right arm up, her fist firmly clenched as she readied another devastating blow. Michelangelo threw his weight to his left and rolled out of the path of the incoming fist as Marisa landed, slamming her fist onto the arena floor, causing a brief tremor to occur.

The modern Gladiator woman rose once more from her knelt position and rushed in after the Turtle. Marisa raised her left foot, only to stomp it as she intended to slam it directly onto Michelangelo’s chest. But the Turtle rolled away from the modern Gladiator woman as quickly as he could, but Marisa raised her other leg only to stomp it down once more. Like before, her foot instead hit nothing but the arena floor as she relentlessly pursued after the mutant Red Ear Slider, slamming her feet repeatedly but Michelangelo quickly continued to roll out of the massive Gladiator’s warpath. Quickly, Michelangelo moved his right hand down to his belt and felt around for something. When his fingertips felt the familiar flat, angular and smooth surface of a shuriken— he drew the weapon out and took aim at Marisa’s chest. With a flick of his wrist, Michelangelo released the throwing blade from his grasp and watched as it flew, spinning towards the large muscular woman.

Marisa widened her eyes as she was forced to stop in her tracks and was forced to move to her left, barely managing to get out of the way of the incoming shuriken. She turned to look at the spinning blade as it moved past her and blinked her eyes in momentary shock. Seeing a break in the woman’s rampage, Michelangelo planted his hands to the arena floor and flipped himself onto his feet. Quickly he pounced and then snapped his right leg out for Marisa’s chest, coming out at her with a jumping side kick. Marisa felt a strong impact slamming directly into her, knocking the wind from her lungs. As Michelangelo landed on his feet, he leaned in and swung his right arm across with his elbow out, firmly striking the modern Gladiator across her face before he turned with the motion and then swung his left leg back across to the left, attacking with a spinning back wheel kick.

Marisa quickly pulled her arms back and huddled, taking Michelangelo’s kick directly in her forearms as she crossed them protectively. The red masked wily Turtle then spun his nunchaku with skill and speed, only to swing his arms across over from right to left, striking the chained clubs onto Marisa’s arms and her sides as he worked to relentlessly beat down onto his opponent.

“You got this, Mikey! You got this!” Leonardo hollered out.

The wily Turtle continued to swing his nunchaku, striking them hard onto the large muscular woman’s arms and body. Marisa, however, worked to endure the strikes inflicted upon her. She took in a deep breath of air through her nose and held in her breath for a moment, now tensing up her muscles to better withstand the pressure which the Turtle was piling upon her. With a mighty roar, Marisa parted her arms and broke through Michelangelo’s offense. Focusing her strength, she leaned towards Michelangelo and swung her right arm upward for his chin before following up with a downward elbow strike from her left arm as she attacked with her Dimachaerus technique.

“OH SH--!” Michelangelo was cut off as he had felt a mighty blow colliding into his chin, and there was a sudden ringing in his head as another impact landed down onto the top of his head.

Seeing an opportunity to land in another strike on the mutant Red Ear Slider, Marisa again tensed up the muscles within her body and she pushed herself to a brief jump. As she pounced in towards Michelangelo, Marisa quickly unleashed a mighty straight punch for the Turtle’s chest. Michelangelo widened his eyes in immediate discomfort and agony as he could feel the force of the blow moving through his plastron and into his lungs, causing him to wheeze and cough while he suddenly felt gravity pulling him down as he crashed onto his carapace from Marisa’s Phalanx punch.

Michelangelo worked to fight through the pain while placing his hands down to the arena floor and pushed himself to a kneeling position. His opponent was strong, and she had a high level of pain endurance. This was going to be like chopping down a big tree, at least from how he could see the way that this fight was going.

Marisa zeroed in on the Turtle, now swiftly moving her right leg across to the left in a low roundhouse kick— firmly striking Michelangelo onto the side of his shell. The red masked Turtle grunted as he had been impacted and he was sent sliding across the arena floor a good six feet from Marisa’s strike. Again, the modern Gladiator rushed right in for Michelangelo, and she pounced high into the air towards him. She raised both her arms, clasping her hands together before swinging them down for Michelangelo’s head. Michelangelo widened his eyes only to quickly throw his weight over to the left and he barely managed to evade the woman’s fists as they hit the ground, causing the floor to shake. He rolled back, flipping himself onto his feet and watched as the large muscular woman came rushing again. The wily Turtle quickly moved his left hand to his belt, now grabbing and drawing a small pellet from the belt’s pouch and he flicked his wrist, throwing the object to the ground the moment Marisa got in close. A burst of fire erupted before a waft of smoke spread out.

“WHAT?!” Marisa shouted as she stepped back, briefly started by the small burst of fire before her vision had become obscured by the smoke.

The modern Gladiator had not expected that. She couldn’t help but briefly cough as the smoke infiltrated her lungs. Frantically, Marisa moved her arms as she aimed to move the smoke away to clear her vision. However, something would firmly strike down onto Marisa’s mid-section and she widened her eyes in pain. Then, Marisa widened her eyes as a three fingered fist now came moving right at her from in front. Knuckles collided into her face, right between her eyes and above the bridge of her nose. Marisa’s head was forced to snap back, and her vision briefly flashed white and black before she shut her eyes in reflex from the pain which moved through her head.

The red masked ninja turned with his weight as he swung his right leg horizontally across to the left, performing a roundhouse kick which solidly smacked hard onto Marisa’s mid-section. Michelangelo then followed up by rearing his right leg back and snapping it out for the woman’s forehead as he unleashed a strong side kick. Marisa felt a wash of pain moving through her head as it was forced to snap back. Marisa moved her hands up to her head, clutching it as she worked to fight through the throbbing and disorientation. Michelangelo twirled his nunchaku in his grasp, flipping and exchanging the handles in his hands before he would swing the pair in his right hand across horizontally, smacking Marisa’s mid-section with a double swing from left to right. He again spun the same pair in his right hand, moving the chained weapon upward and firmly struck Marisa in the chin. Continuing with the assault, Michelangelo then spun and twirled his weapons before he lashed at Marisa’s body with them, piling on the pressure as much as he could to wear down the modern Gladiator woman.

Finally, Michelangelo then tensed up his leg muscles only to push himself up into the air. He threw his weight to the right and thrust his right leg back as he performed a jumping spinning back thrust kick. The red masked reptile managed to slam his foot directly into Marisa’s solar plexus. Marisa yelled out in agony from the kick, causing her to lurch forward as she wrapped her arms around her body to help cope with the pain. Michelangelo immediately then had tensed up his legs once more after he landed, only to push himself upwards and throw his weight back. Planting his hands onto the ground, he vaulted both his feet up and managed to slam both onto Marisa’s chin while performing a reverse somersault kick.

“KEEP THE PRESSURE, MIKE! KEEP THE PRESSURE!” Raphael shouted, cupping his hands around his mouth.

Michelangelo, encouraged by Raphael’s words— continued with the assault. He relentlessly swung his nunchaku across, striking down Marisa’s abdominal region with the intent to chop away at her as if she were a stubborn redwood. He then leaned in towards the large muscular woman, now thrusting his right arm’s elbow out, adding more to the punishment as his elbow collided with her mid-section. Marisa gasped as she felt the pain getting heavier and heavier upon her, and it didn’t help that her opponent was significantly faster than her either.

“ENOUGH!” Marisa shouted.

In a moment of fury, she threw her arms and fought through the pain that had been placed upon her. She tensed up t he muscles within her entire body, summoning the vast source of strength that she worked all her life to develop. Oxygen burned in her muscles as she set her sights on Michelangelo and she attuned herself to the energy inside of her body, now channeling it through herself. She then pushed herself up to a leap, thrusting her right knee up for Michelangelo’s chin as what appeared to be flames erupting from her knee ignited. The Turtle quickly moved his arms back, taking the blow directly in his forearms and he was sent crashing onto the ground from the sheer impact. He widened his eyes as he moved his head up, watching as Marisa came down at him like a meteor. The modern Gladiator thrust her right elbow down, intending on landing the mighty blow onto the Turtle as she unleashed her Meterorite technique.

Michelangelo quickly pounced to his left, barely managing to evade the woman as she came crashing down and caused the arena floor to quake. He scrambled to rise to his feet and immediately moved towards Marisa’s side, and the Turtle leapt forward. He pulled one of his nunchaku taught, and ensnared it around Marisa’s neck.

The modern Gladiator widened her eyes as she felt Michelangelo’s weapon constrict around her neck, and he seemed to be only twisting his weapons and pulling to make the constriction tighter. She couldn’t help but reach for her neck, and she coughed profusely while also experiencing a retching sensation coming from the back of her throat. Marisa threw her shoulders forward, trying to shake the Turtle off from her but to no avail. Michelangelo adjusted his positioning, planting his feet onto her hips from behind as he kept his hold. Marisa dropped onto her knees, and she reached out with her left hand— but she lurched forward and planted her hand to the arena floor, struggling to keep herself supported. Her eyes watered, her breathing cut off.

Michelangelo released his hold of his nunchaku, now allowing Marisa to draw breath. Quickly, she took in a gasp of air but as she did so, her vision went white, and she had become lightheaded from the rush of it all. The red masked wily Turtle then raised himself up, his right arm held high only to bring it down and he slammed his elbow to the top of Marisa’s head. Pain moved through the modern Gladiator’s head, and she dropped onto the ground as her vision went completely dark. Michelangelo quickly rolled off from the large muscular woman’s back and hopped to his feet, snapping into his fighting stance, nunchaku held at the ready.

No movement. No sound. The ten count began as it displayed on the screens that were mounted around the arena. When the count down finished, the arena horns blared. The battle was over.

Michelangelo raised his arms up to signify his victory over a mighty opponent. He took a deep breath through his nostrils and released whatever tension he had as he exhaled with a sigh. The red masked Turtle turned to face his brothers. Leonardo stood with his arms crossed, giving a nod of approval to Michelangelo’s victory. Donatello then nodded his head in approval as well as giving a thumbs up to his brother. Raphael meanwhile pumped his right fist in congratulations to Michelangelo.

“Well damn, we’re just not having much luck here! Meathead is down, and now Marisa! Who would’ve thought that these guys in Turtle costumes would’ve given us so much trouble?” Jamie complained.

“Not worry, there are still two of us. We still have a fighting chance.” Manon replied.

Michelangelo walked over to his brothers, giving them a soft but worn-out smile. Donatello moved his right hand out, placing it firmly onto his brother’s shoulder and shook it in an encouraging manner. Leonardo was quite pleased to see his brother taking down an overwhelmingly strong opponent— if anything, it had shown that their experience in this tournament was a well-earned reward in making them better ninja. Whether it was fighting together or individually.

Donatello stepped forward and he rolled his shoulders. Quickly, he turned his head and popped the joints in his neck, undoing whatever stiffness he seemed to be experiencing for a bit. He looked across the arena, now watching as one of the other fighters from the other team seemed to be approaching Marisa. Manon stepped up, and she slipped her hands underneath Marisa’s shoulders, pulling her back before setting her down to a safe spot. She looked over to Donatello and gave off a confident smirk.

“If you don’t mind, Monsieur Tortue, but I will be your opponent.” Manon spoke.

Donatello simply raised his left brow in a quizzical manner as he reached behind himself with his right hand, grabbing hold of his metal electro-staff in hand and drew the weapon out. Spinning the staff in his hands, Donatello then swung the weapon down as he set himself into his fighting stance.

“I don’t mind at all! By all means!” Donatello gave off a curt nod.

The pink haired French judoka then threw her arms up, her hands open as she moved into her own fighting stance. Both Donatello and Manon inched closer to one another, and circled around as they took the time to size each other up. Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael watched on intently for this match. Jamie also watched on with interest, hoping that Manon would be able to score a victory against the Turtles.

The arena horn went off.

Donatello and Manon darted back from one another before they rushed into one another. Both yelled out war cries, as they readied themselves for what might be an intense battle.

The next match of my Mirage TMNT storyline continues and this time it's a match between Donatello and Manon Legrand. I will say that writing up the recap between Michelangelo and Marisa was difficult particularly because I've had a lot of distractions and to my surprise, Marisa's moveset wasn't particularly impressive when compared to someone like maybe even Luke's moveset. None the less, I had to write up the fight in accordance to the votes-- which was surprisingly in high favor of Michelangelo. So writing that out wasn't particularly something I could say was a cake walk for me as there were many factors involved.

Also, I was sort of torn between putting up the match between Raphael and Jamie or letting Donatello get his match in, and ultimately I decided on putting this one up because I feel like that Donatello has usually been the one to go up to bat last. So I figured why not let Donatello have his battle here? Out of all the Turtles, I feel like Donatello more or less has been bearing the brunt of the worse for the brothers-- at least that was up until he managed to get a good win against Team K's Maxima, who is a cybernetic powerhouse in all aspects, and hopefully his win over Maxima will get people to take Donatello a little more considerably and seriously. None the less, he's going up against Manon, who as far as I know in regards to Street Fighter canon, was able to fight evenly and even win against Marisa. So I would think that in her own right, Manon is pretty strong enough to give Donatello something of a decent battle.

Remember-- ENVIRONMENT IS ALSO A FACTOR IN THIS BATTLE! Something I feel like people need to seriously consider.

For new readers who are just hopping onto this storyline here, I suggest you look at the Mirage TMNT Respect Thread to see what the Mirage Turtles are more than capable of.

Donatello (Mirage) is low tier superhuman in terms of physicals. Think Above Peak Human due to his mutation.

Donatello (Mirage) possesses a new Electro Bo-Staff, Electro Shurikens, Explosive Shurikens, Kunai and Modified Laser Equipped Roomba.

Manon Legrand is at Peak Conditioning due to her training.

Manon Legrand has her move set from Street Fighter VI.

Top notch as always, RakaiThwei. Would Donatello defeat Manon in a fight? Probably. Would I love to see Manon put Donatello through her twirling ballerina dance super, ABSOLUTELY!

Fairly confident Donatello will win this fight, and I'm looking forward to the write-up.

The write up might be difficult on account that my new PC of seven months might as well be ka-poot! But I will try to produce something if it doesn't die off. They just don't make PC's like they used to.

I'm going with Donnatello too. Like I keep saying- turtles are extremely strong so it won't be as overwhelming as we think it would.

Another great set-up and recap, Rakai. Marisa's a tough chick from what I've seen in videos, so I'm not surprised Michelangelo needed to choke her out a bit to help end the fight.

As for the match, this fight should be pretty interesting, too. I have no idea how Manon gets her opponents to partake in her ballet routines as she throws them around, but it definitely works for her. :D What's more, each successful throw she lands hits harder than the last. Donatello might get initially tripped up by Manon's mix of judo and ballet, but since he's already dealt with a confusing style in Momoko's capoeira in this arc, he should probably pull through because of that experience and his skill and gadgets.
