Match 19602 Leonardo (Mirage) vs. Luke Sullivan

Tension permeated through the construction site as the Turtle and the Kunoichi simply stared at one another with focused intent. Both had nothing but a mutual respect for another as they recognized the level of skill which they possessed. Both were more than aware of what the other was proven to be capable of. And that was even more reason why this match was going to be quite anticipated for both teams involved. Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo had already managed to accomplish their own victories against the opposing team— but there was an overwhelming anxiety for the three siblings as all they could do is wait and see to who would come out the winner and the other the loser. Raphael clenched his hands firmly into fists as he stood in place, keeping a focused stare on his brother. Michelangelo, anxious to see who would make the first move, could only fidget. And Donatello gripped his metal bo-staff as he leaned on it for support, his gaze focused on the two combatants ahead.

Leonardo and Karai mirrored each other’s steps as they encircled one another, both holding their blades in hand. Neither took their gaze off the other and neither had broken from their movement. But Karai would make the first move as she darted forward, gripping her sword firmly in hand. Quickly she took aim for Leonardo’s mid-section as she immediately swung her blade across horizontally, initiating things off with a double slash. The Turtle parried as he moved his right arm out, gripping the katana which Haohmaru had given him firmly in his hand and tilted the weapon in defensive postures as Karai’s blade collided with it. Clanging echoed through the construction site; sparks erupted as the swords made contact. Karai shifted with a step, and she gripped her ninjaken within her hands, only to swing the weapon vertically for the top of Leonardo’s head. Leonardo responded by moving his left arm up and position his own ninjaken horizontally, blocking the vertically strike as it came down.

Karai pulled her arms back and gripped the handle of her ninjaken in both hands, only to once more shift with a step forward and she set her sights on Leonardo’s mid-section once more. She drove her blade forward, intending on having the sharpened tip pierce and break through the mutant Red Ear Slider’s plastron. Leonardo widened his eyes at Karai’s display of swiftness, and he turned his upper body as he gripped both ninjaken and katana firmly, now pushing them forward while holding them upward. Karai’s sword grazed against the Turtle’s swords and sparks erupted as steel contacted with steel. In one fluid motion, Karai turned in a spin as she swung her blade across to the left, intending on striking the sharpened edge of her weapon along Leonardo’s neck but the red masked ninja leaned back away from the incoming blade, feeling nothing but a breeze as the sword moved across in front of him. Karai again would go onto the offense as she turned with her weight and kicked with her right leg, intending on slamming it directly up into Leonardo’s chin with a high side kick. Leonardo was forced to stumble back as the impact of the kick had landed onto its intended mark, and the mutant Turtle worked to recover from the strike quickly as he snapped his head back down from Karai’s attack.

Seizing the opportunity, Karai rushed in for her opponent only to tense her leg muscles before she would push herself up and then thrust her legs out like two pistons, firmly striking her feet into Leonardo’s plastron and landing a solid drop kick onto the Turtle. The red masked Terrapin grunted from the blow as he was forced to fall back onto his carapace, but rather than allowing the drop kick to knock him firmly onto his backside, Leonardo threw his weight back and rolled with the moment before setting himself onto his feet. Karai had done similarly so as she was forced to rebound from the drop kick, and she too rolled onto her feet. It wasn’t long until both had risen to their feet to meet the challenge which the other brought to this very fight.

Leonardo had been on the defensive so far. Perhaps it would be best to change that approach, he thought.

The red masked ninja kicked his right leg up, sending some rubble towards Karai with the intent on having a few pebbles along with some dust move for Karai’s face. The Foot Kunoichi narrowed her eyes as she brought her ninjaken back, turning it so that the pebbles would only land on the flat side of her sword. Light tapping sounds echoed through the silent construction yard as the pebbles bounced off the sword. Leonardo quickly pushed himself to leap and he threw his weight forward and down, only to take to the air and somersault over his opponent. Upon landing, the Turtle quickly pumped his left arm forward and out.

Karai turned, widening her eyes only to catch the Turtle’s knuckles directly into her forehead, causing her vision to briefly flash before her eyes shut from instinctive reaction. Brief pain moved through her eyes followed by momentary disorientation. Leonardo gripped Haohmaru’s katana in his right hand still, but none the less attacked as he swung his right arm across, landing a solid hook punch directly across the face of his opponent. Following with the motion, Leonardo turned in a spin only to arc his left foot across— smacking Karai hard across her head as he performed a spinning wheel kick.

The Foot Kunoichi turned with the impact, but her senses were jarred, and she dropped onto the ground like a sack of bricks. A wave of discomfort moved through Karai’s head, and she shut her eyes to help endure the pain which Leonardo had put upon her. Regaining her bearings, Karai fought through the discomfort and opened her eyes only to see Leonardo now leaping right at her. Quickly throwing her weight to the right, Karai managed to roll out of the mutant Turtle’s trajectory and watched as Leonardo slammed his feet onto the ground.

Rising to her feet, Karai gripped her ninjaken firmly as she then swung her blade upward and then followed with a downward slash. Leonardo crossed his ninjaken and Haohmaru’s katana in front of himself, blocking the first slash but when the second came down for him—he raised his ninjaken in his left hand and positioned it horizontally in reverse, blocking the downward slash. Swiftly, Leonardo reacted by spinning Haohmaru’s katana in his grasp before gripping the handle, holding the weapon in reverse. He thrust his hand upward, slamming the blunt end of the handle directly into Karai’s chin. Stumbling from the impact, Karai was left open as she stumbled from the blow. The Turtle quickly took his opportunity to attack, rushing at his opponent only to leap high as he thrust his right knee up and thrust both his arms down, intending on striking his elbows down for Karai’s head. The Foot Kunoichi’s head rang with pain as her vision flashed once more, she felt her top and bottom teeth grinding hard against each other from the impact. And like before, Karai felt her weight falling back only to stop as she hit the ground.

“Kuso…” Karai muttered through her teeth.

She knew that Leonardo was a skilled ninja, thoroughly trained by his rat sensei but she hadn’t expected him to be this good. Perhaps it was the experience which he had earned through his battles against the Foot clan and other mutants like him, and he seemed to have only become even better through his own experience in this tournament.

She’d have to step up her game.

Karai fought through the discomfort, planting her hands onto the ground and pushed herself to her feet. She nodded her head in admiration of Leonardo’s experience and skill, finally seeing the challenge in the Turtle. She motioned her left hand to him, gesturing to come at her. Leonardo nodded once, before shifting with a step forward and he leaned forward only to snap his left leg out in a front kick. Karai immediately side-stepped from the mutant Red Ear Slider’s foot, and she moved her right hand down to her sash, only drawing out a single black painted egg. Crushing the egg in her grasp, she then threw her hand out and released a cloud of dust at her opponent’s face.

Leonardo immediately shut his eyes upon realizing what had happened, and he shook his head from side to side as he stepped back away from the leader of the Japanese Foot branch.

“Damn it!” Leonardo shouted.

Karai grinned as she leapt back. She moved her right hand down to her sash once more and drew out three shurikens. Taking her aim, Karai flung her hand forward— sending the blades spinning through the air as she had intended to have them strike at Leonardo’s wrist on his right hand.

“LEO LOOK OUT!” Donatello shouted.

The red masked Turtle quickly turned to the direction of his opponent only to swing Haomaru’s katana in a reversal slash, deflecting the spinning blades which Karai had thrown. Leonardo was no stranger to fighting blind. He had recalled how he had been temporarily blinded and had to develop an alternative means to sense his opponent to fight effectively, whether it be relying on his hearing or from sensing his enemy’s internal energy. Karai had nodded her head in approval at the display of skill and awareness the mutant Turtle showed. Leonardo dashed forward, thrusting his left arm forward and drove his ninjaken out for a thrust attack. Karai immediately gripped her own blade in hand, holding her weapon forward and diverted Leonardo’s attack away, turning in a spin to force Leonardo to move ahead. The Turtle stepped once but turned in a spin to meet his opponent, swinging his right arm across and slashed Haohmaru’s katana across to strike at Karai’s neck region, but the Foot Kunoichi parried the slash with her ninjaken before she hopped forward and snapped her left leg up before swinging her right leg up, performing a jumping front kick for Leonardo’s chin and firmly impacted the Turtle, causing his head to snap back.

Fighting through the discomfort, Leonardo worked to ignore the throbbing pain in his chin, and he continued to rely on his senses. Karai swung her arms across, slashing her ninjaken over from right to left as she advanced forward. Leonardo shifted back, swinging his own blades across in defense against the incoming strikes. Karai spun her ninjaken in her right hand before gripping it with both hands, and she swung her sword down, but Leonardo side-stepped to his left, evading the slash only to swing his right arm across— striking Karai hard across her nose with his elbow. The Kunoichi grunted as she contorted her face in expression of pain, but the discomfort was more than enough to leave her open to attack. Leonardo moved his blades out, locking them with Karai’s and he moved the blades in a circular fashion only to throw his arms to the left— forcing Karai to lose her grip over her weapon.

The Turtle turned with his weight as he thrust his left and right arm forward, still gripping his blades firmly in his grasp and he slammed his fists directly into Karai’s mid-section, causing the Kunoichi to grunt and cough from the sheer strength behind the striking fists. The red masked Terrapin then swung his right arm across, intending to bat his fist firmly across Karai’s face but the Kunoichi snapped back as she flattened her hands and chopped at Leonardo’s wrist, stopping the blow from hitting and she turned with the momentum of the strike only to lean forward and down, tossing Leonardo firmly onto the ground as she performed an interceptive hip toss.

Leonardo hit the ground firmly, and Karai simply hopped back to get herself some distance from her opponent as she moved her right hand to the back of her hip and gripped the handle of her wakizashi. She watched as Leonardo now rolled onto his plastron and pushed himself up, rubbing away at his eyes with his right forearm to help alleviate the sand which Karai had tossed at him earlier. Now with his vision somewhat cleared, Leonardo opened his eyes and shot a hard stare to the leader of the Japanese Foot branch. Karai drew her wakizashi and held it in reversal position, glaring at Leonardo as she readied herself to continue this fight.

Both darted forward as they moved across the construction site. Leonardo swung his ninjaken in his left hand horizontally across, and Karai slashed her wakizashi to deflect the incoming slash. Metal clashed and sparks erupted when the swords collided. Leonardo then swung the katana in his right hand downward, but Karai raised her weapon and parried the incoming sword. Spinning her weapon in hand, Karai then took aim at Leonardo’s neck, and she thrust her weapon for a stabbing strike. Leonardo crossed his swords, catching Karai’s wakizashi and locking the weapons.

Focusing his strength into his own ninjaken and Haohmaru’s katana, Leonardo pulled his blades apart—also while working to cleave his blades through Karai’s wakizashi. Karai widened her eyes as her short sword now had been rendered in two, and she stepped back from the Turtle as she stared upon the broken blade. Tossing her broken blade aside, Karai clenched her hands firmly into fist and snapped into her fighting stance.

The red masked Turtle nodded in understanding as he spun his blades in his grasp, only to sheath them away and he balled his hands as he also moved into his own stance.

“Guess they’re doin’ it old school.” Raphael said.

“So far, they’ve been pretty even.” Donatello responded.

Leonardo started off by swinging his right leg across for Karai’s mid-section, but Karai shifted back, and she leaned into the kick as she swung her forearm in an inside outside manner, bracing her forearm and bicep as she took the roundhouse kick head on. The Turtle quickly took another step, and he jabbed his left arm before following from his right as he took aim for Karai’s head. The leader of the Japanese Foot branch ducked and weaved from the incoming punches, only retaliate by thrusting her left in a ridge hand for Leonardo’s throat and swung her right arm across as she intended to slam in her knuckles for the reptile’s head. The mutant Red Ear Slider leaned to his right, and he raised his arms up to block the incoming fist.

Karai then leaned towards the Turtle, and she snapped her left leg in a rising front kick, but Leonardo slapped his right hand down to stop the incoming kick. The Japanese woman turned in a spin and swung her right leg across in a spinning back wheel kick for her opponent’s face, but Leonardo leaned away from the incoming kick. Not wanting to give any leeway, Karai snapped her right leg across diagonally— performing a high roundhouse kick. Leo pulled his head into his shell, allowing Karai’s foot to pass on by harmlessly before he popped his head out once more.

The Turtle quickly snapped his left leg upwards and out in a side kick as he took aim for Karai’s face. His opponent crossed her forearms, taking the kick directly as it pushed her back, but she leaned in with her weight to somewhat resist the push from the blow. Leonardo advanced only to snap his left leg in a low roundhouse kick for Karai’s legs, firmly striking the Kunoichi, causing her to falter a bit in her stance. He turned with his hips and thrust a series of punches for her lower mid-section, chest region and face. Karai turned her forearms inwards and out, blocking and deflecting the incoming strikes to the best of her abilities before she responded with a spinning back fist from her right. Leonardo raised his left arm up, curling and tensing it as he blocked Karai’s fist.

Karai tensed up her leg muscles, now throwing her weight up and back only to perform a reverse somersault and she swung both her feet upwards with the intent to slam the bottom of her feet into Leonardo’s chin. Leo felt a mighty impact moving up into his face, and he winced his eyes as he worked to fight through the pain as he lowered his head. Setting herself to her feet, Karai rushed at Leonardo once more as she unleashed her own onslaught of punches and kicks.

Leonardo responded by blocking and unleashing his own punches and kicks at Karai. Both combatants were pushing each other to their very limit in regard to skill and technique.

“Damn, look at them go!” Michelangelo gasped as he widened his eyes.

Neither of them was willing to let up, both exchanging blows and deflecting strikes. Karai unleashed a furious yell as she then turned with her weight, and she thrust her right arm forward and out— intending on slamming her knuckles directly for the middle of the Turtle’s face. But Leonardo moved his arms out, intercepting Karai’s fist as he took hold of her hand and wrist and turned with the momentum of the punch. He leaned forward and slammed Karai back first onto the gravel covered ground.

The Kunoichi hit the ground with a resounding thud. She writhed in extreme discomfort and contorted her face in agony as the nerves in her back were screaming. Her entire body experienced an overwhelming throbbing and she realized that this was perhaps where the fight ended.

“I… I concede this match to you… I cannot go on any further.” Karai spoke, trying to endure the throbbing.

Leonardo now had taken in a deep breath as he dropped onto his knees. Not since Oroku Saki had he endured a battle just as difficult. He now understood why Karai was the leader of the Japanese branch of the Foot clan. Her level of skill, technique, precision and timing— and her own wisdom in battle were good attributes for a leader to have. He looked down to the Japanese woman and nodded as he took several breathes, trying to recover his strength.

“You’ve fought well, Karai… Thank you for the match!” Leonardo bowed while kneeling.

Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael cheered as they now rushed over to Leonardo’s side. Raphael slipped his hands underneath his brother’s arms, lifting him back up to his feet. He smiled and nodded to his brother, proud that his level of skill and experience saw him through a difficult match. Donatello quickly examined Leonardo, checking to see if there were any injuries which needed treatment.

“Man, we’re going far in this tourney! Let’s see how far we can go, guys!” Michelangelo happily exclaimed.

Leonardo gave a soft smile as he nodded in agreement to Michelangelo. Raphael pumped his fists and he turned to now look at the defeated team, proud of what could only be described as a surprising victory.

But some much needed rest was going to be needed if the brothers were going to be in more matches. Surely it was nothing that a warm bath, a good meal and a much-needed good night’s rest could remedy.

The Turtles had recovered their strength after a good night’s rest. For the first early hours in the morning, the brothers watched as the matches in the tournament commenced. There was much coverage over the Turtles’ victory over some of the veteran teams in the KOF tournament. Raphael was quite proud of the fact that he was able to carry his team to victory against the Fatal Fury team— eliminating Joe Higashi, Mai Shiranui and Terry Bogard from the tournament while Donatello had a hand in removing Andy Bogard from the competition.

The Turtles had managed to establish themselves as strong competitors in the King of Fighters tournament and they have come far against the competition, of course— their progress didn’t come without a few defeats and draw outcomes at the hands of some of the opposition.

The tournament staff had informed the siblings that their next match was to be set at a new arena for the next designated battle. The chosen arena was Madison Square Garden. The Turtles were somewhat familiar with Madison Square Garden, as they often recalled hearing about and seeing the place in television and film, though they had never been there.

Until today.

The four mutant reptiles had been escorted by tournament staff to the arena and were completely surprised to see the renovations which had been done to the arena. Large screens adorned the arena, allowing the audience in the rows of seats to get an up-close view of the fighting. Blue lights lined the fighting area, giving it something of a futuristic look. It was an aesthetic which Donatello could appreciate. That much was evident as he raised his brows with smile.

“You gotta admit, when the tournament staff wants to put on a show, they really go all out with the bells and whistles!” The intellectual Turtle chuckled.

“So, who are we supposed to be fighting now?” Michelangelo asked as he looked ahead.

“Whoever we’re going to fight next, we need to always bring out A-game up front.” Leonardo responded.

The audience cheered as four other individuals came from the other end of the arena. One of them was a well-built muscular Caucasian male with blonde hair with blue eyes and coiffed in a stylized manner. He donned a white T-shirt which was underneath a sleeveless blue jacket, and black pants. The other was an Asian man with dark hair done in a long braid that extended from the back and he appeared to be wearing a modernized tang suit with a pair of sneakers. Another of the competitors seemed to be a rather large, muscular and burly woman with red hair that seemed to be stylized to look quite like a Greek Spartan’s helmet. She wore what appeared to be a black sports bra and fighting shorts as well with gold trims accenting the attire, along with a gold chain around her neck. The last one was a smaller female, with pink hair that was stylized to be short but with long tresses down the sides and she wore a white Judo gi top with a blue sports bra underneath and shorts as well.

“Hah hah hah hah! What is this? Little Turtles coming to fight?” The large muscular woman laughed jovially.

“It doesn’t matter who we fight, Marisa. Even if they are wearing Turtle costumes. What matters is if they are strong.” The pink haired Judoka woman replied.

“I suppose you are right, Manon. These Turtles had better not disappoint!” Marisa responded.

Raphael turned his head and he just simply stared at his brothers with his left brow raised in a quizzical manner. Michelangelo just returned to stare over to his fiery tempered brother and shrugged his shoulders as he too wasn’t too sure of what to make of the opposing team.

The blonde-haired man came forward and clenched his hands into fists as he grinned over to the brothers.

“Hey, great cosplay. Are you guys on Instagram or anything? You’ve gotta be setting the cosplay scene on fire with that get up. But… all of that muscle padding and foam shells you got on? Don’t think it’s gonna help you.”

“And the Turtle theme? I mean… aren’t Turtles, you know, slow?” The Asian man asked with a raised brow.

“Slow?” Raphael narrowed his eyes.

But Leonardo held his right arm out, barring Raphael from making any rash decisions before the match could even begin. The field leader of the Turtles stepped forward and he looked over to each of the opposing team, sizing them up for the moment.

“I will be your opponent.”

Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo looked to one another before settling their eyes upon Leonardo. The hot-headed Turtle was willing to allow Leonardo to go ahead of himself—it had been a bit since Leonardo had been first up to bat anyway, and Michelangelo and Donatello have had their fair share of being ahead as well.

“Yeah, sure… All yours, Leo.” Donatello spoke as he motioned a hand.

“Now that’s the spirit. I like to see that. Someone who isn’t afraid to lose.” The blonde man spoke.

Immediately the screens flared with images of Leonardo and his opponent named Luke Sullivan, if the on-screen banners were anything to go by. He looked over to Luke, and watched as he smiled and raised his arms for those who were cheering for him. The Turtle then moved his arms back to his shoulders, grabbing hold of his ninjaken and Haohmaru’s katana, now drawing them from their sheathes and he snapped himself into his fighting stance.

Luke turned to now blink in surprise at the Turtle before shrugging and readying himself in his own stance, balling his hands firmly into fists and squaring his shoulders.

The audience cheered and the screens zoomed in on the two combatants in the arena.

Perhaps this could be one of the most electrifying matches in the history of KOF.

I think this is actually a pretty close battle all things considered, it all depends on whether Luke would like to abuse his range or not. If he does, he should have a clear advantage and win at the end, but if he doesn't he will end up losing. I'll give him the benefit of doubt that he will do that and I think Leonardo would win cause of that.

So after a little over a year of being on a hiatus-- I am back on the CBUB writing out some new matches and it took a bit of a while for me to get back onto things on account that life has kept me pretty busy and more importantly, I had to  upgrade to a new PC and actually get a subscription for Microsoft Office 365. None the less, aside from that-- it's definitely good to be back and hopefully I can get into the swing of things once more.

Writing out the recap between Leonardo and Karai was an extremely difficult thing for me because I had to come up with the fight entirely in my head without any referencing for special moves like I had to do so with SNK characters. Because of that, it took a long time for me to write up the recap between Leonardo and Karai. Let me tell you guys something, shaking off all of that rust was not fun and I definitely am out of practice when it comes to writing something like this. None the less, I hope that I have written up a decent recap which shows Leonardo and Karai pushing each other to their very limits.

As to who would fight, well I had something of an extremely difficult time in figuring out who the Turtles were going to fight. I knew that Leonardo had to go first since the others have been going before him and I figured why not put him up to bat first this time. Also, in celebration of the OFFICIAL crossover between Nickelodeon and Capcom-- TMNT vs Street Fighter is OFFICIALLY happen as part of a collaboration between IDW and Capcom. However, I decided to do my take on the crossover but this time featuring some of the Street Fighter 6 cast as recommended to me by @DSkillz.

Hopefully, this will be a match people do enjoy!

Remember-- ENVIRONMENT IS ALSO A FACTOR IN THIS BATTLE! Something I feel like people need to seriously consider.

For new readers who are just hopping onto this storyline here, I suggest you look at the Mirage TMNT Respect Thread to see what the Mirage Turtles are more than capable of.

--

Leonardo (Mirage) is Low Tier Superhuman in terms of physicals. Think Above Peak Human due to his mutation and training.

Leonardo (Mirage) possesses his Ninjaken, Hoahmaru's Katana, Shurikens, Smoke Bombs, and Kunai.

Luke Sullivan is at Peak Conditioning due to his training.

Luke Sullivan has his move set from Street Fighter VI.

Welcome back to CBUB Rakai! You were always one of the best match writers, especially when it comes to TMNT.

For those who don’t know Luke Sullivan is the main character for Street Fighter 6, which came out just this year. Sadly I haven’t had a chance to play the game yet so I don’t know much about Luke aside from what I saw from the trailers. I’ll do some research first but right now I’m leaning towards Leo.

Thank you, although this match was hard to write up, I'm glad I was able to put something out there.

I saw you were logged in a few days ago so I'm not surprised to see this. I gotta look at Luke. He actually came out at the very end of Street Fighter 5 but he never impressed me. Putting him against Leo is a tall order but we'll see.

Also I know it's long but the print is too small. These old eyes can't see the words.

Great set-up for your comeback, Rakai. The recap with Leonardo and Karai was as rightfully intense as their match-ups usually are. Is Karai still going to a prominent figure in your arc as maybe more of a background character?

Haven't played SF6, either (one day!), but I've been watching plenty of vids of it. Luke's on the cover, yeah, but from what I can tell, he's maybe a co-star in the player's avatar character's story in World Tour mode. Other characters seem to figure more prominently in the game's main story as several of them actually have direct beefs with the villain, JP.

As for the match, for what I've seen of Luke, he's a brawler type kind of in the MMA vein with a fast fireball. Dealing with that fireball might give Leo some trouble, and if Luke can get Leo on the ground, he can punish him with some kind of vicious blows. Leo's already fought tougher fighters, though, so he can likely get through this.

I'll try to fix the size of the words. The new Microsoft Office 365 seems to more or less... keep the fonts that size when copy-pasting from there to the forum.

Thanks for commenting and I was hoping to capture the intensity between Leonardo and Karai when it had come to their match. If anything that was the hardest thing to come up with because I didn't really have any movesets for Karai to reference from and I didn't want to do that as I've done with the previous matches as well. So I had to come up with everything on my own entirely like I had done for the Predator matches I did years ago.

It seems like as if a lot of us here haven't played SF6. I have my own personal reasons to not wanting to play the game, mostly because of the creative choices which Capcom have made which makes the game not feel like Street Fighter in terms of aesthetics, soundtrack and even world.

And thanks for your input, means a lot to me!

It seems you haven't lost your touch Rakai. Fun read, and an interesting take on Leo and Karai's duel, as it showcased the strengths, skills and capabilities of each.

When Karai surrendered too, it felt meaningful as well, as if she was truly satisfied with the match she had, injured or not.

For what it is worth too, it was good also to see you branch out a bit more with fighters who didn't typically fit the mold of fighting game based characters. In my opinion, it shows that you can write well for just about any character you decide to use.

It wouldn't be advantageous to Leo, to go toe-to-toe with Luke here, as the flat ground of the arena, will allow Sullivan to gain some key moments on him as a result.

Leo should probably try and keep Luke at a distance as much as he gain, utilizing smoke pellets and the like sparingly, to get an advantage in terms of outmaneuvering the brawler.

In the instances where he can get an opening and minimize any potential damage, Leo should try closing in, and sweeping Luke up at the feet, where he isn't as strongly guarded. When done correctly, the sweep will make Luke drop his guard, and provide an even better set of openings around the fighter's upper body and head, important strategic points in terms of winning this fight.

When done correctly, the sweep will make Luke drop his guard, and provide an even better set of openings around the fighter's upper body and head, important strategic points in terms of winning this fight.
