Raphael had been given the go ahead to be as brutal as he had needed to be for this particular round. The opposition made it damn clear that they had the intention to end of the lives of him and his brothers— and he was going to make damn sure that wasn’t going to happen. The red masked hot head would be sure to spill much blood if anything had happened to his brothers, and while he wasn’t the oldest—he was none the less quite protective of his family. They were the only thing which he had in this insane and cruel world which he had happened to be live in. He and his brothers joined this tournament to see where their training and experiences had taken them and where they could go with both of those things, and to see if they could reach a new level with their skill. Already he and his brothers had come across many teams, each of their members possessing a variety of skills and abilities which could be considered as something quite superhuman. But Raphael and his brothers were able to overcome them, and in one instance— Raphael was able to carry his team to victory in one particular difficult battle.

And he would be sure to do it again if he had to.

Shermie came rushing at the Turtle as she then snapped her left leg up in a front kick as he intended to strike at the Turtle’s mid-section before she then would snap it across, moving it diagonally up over to the right for Raphael’s head as she let out a strong roundhouse kick. Raphael moved his right arm down and used his forearm to block the incoming front kick, but when the roundhouse had come for him, he immediately leaned back from the incoming strike only to respond by immediately turning with his hips and he then thrust his right and left arm forward and out— the sharpened tips of his sai aimed out for his opponent’s midsection. If he was going to fight to win, he was going with the intent to fight as if he was going to kill. Shermie quickly turned in quick spins over to her right and left, managing to evade the hot headed reptile’s strikes.

Quickly, Shermie pounced forward with an unearthly grace as she turned in a spin like a ballerina and then arced her left leg up and back across to the left which was motioning for the mutant Red Ear Slider’s face, performing her special Accel Kick. Raphael widened his eyes as he stopped himself from rushing head, watching as the leg was coming for him and he hunched underneath the incoming blow. Raphael spun his sai within his hands only to grip them and position the blunt ends of the hand between his fingers, protruding them out.  Shermie swiped her right fist across as she aimed for Raphael’s face, but the red masked ninja side-stepped inward and he thrust his right knee upward with the intent to blast it firmly into his opponent’s mid-section. Contact was made as Shermie lurched forward and she gasped for air as Raphael then swung his right arm upward, firmly impacting his opponent in the chin, causing Shermie to stumble back from the blow.

Seeing the opportunity, Raphael rushed forward and he pumped his arms out, unleashing a series of six straight thrust with the intent to beat the blunt ends of his weapons into his opponent. Shermie grunted with each moment that Raphael managed to slam in the blunt ends of his weapons directly into her mid-section and chest. Then Raphael took a might swing from his right as he intended to strike her in the head. And suddenly— Shermie’s world was spinning and a flash of black and white moved across her vision. Raphael quickly learned in with his weight and then he swung his left arm across and slammed the blunt end of his sai firmly into the side of Shermie’s head.

The female Hakkeshu dropped onto her right side and hit the floor of the greenhouse. When her senses had settled, she moved her hands up to the side of her head and worked to fight through the discomfort and pain. She had no idea that what she thought could be a man in a costume, a Turtle costume no less, could be so inhumanly strong.

“You’ve already fallen? Get up you bitch, you’re making us look bad!” Yamazaki shouted.

Shermie turned her sights over to the loud Yakuza thug and narrowed her eyes, the bangs of her hair keeping her eyes obscured from her opponent. She didn’t want to admit it but he had a point— she was making them look bad. Quickly planting her feet and hands to the floor, she rose to her full stature.

Raphael immediately rushed to her only to pounce without a moment’s hesitation. He spun the sai within his hands and had the sharpened tips of the pronged weapons facing out— he thrust his arms down as he took aim for Shermie’s shoulders. If he could, Raphael would aim to have his pronged weapons pierce the shoulders of his opponent, wanting to break her shoulder bones and have the pronged twin sai pierce out from her back. But Shermie focused the energy within herself, channeling through her body and feeding it directly to her muscles as she pushed herself and took to the air, now setting herself to leap higher than her opponent. When she was close enough, the female Hakkeshu member moved her legs out, clutching Raphael’s head between her thighs and allowed her weight to be pulled by gravity as she managed to land her own special, the Shermie Clutch down onto the hot-headed reptile. Raphael hit the floor of the greenhouse, the wind being knocked out from him from the takedown. He hadn’t expected her to do anything like that, that much was for certain.

As Raphael placed his hands onto the flooring of the greenhouse, he failed to notice that his opponent shifted her weight forward only to flip forward as she placed her hands down onto the ground and brought both her legs down one after another as she performed her Shermie Stand technique. Raphael felt to strong impacts slamming down onto the back of his head and this caused him to lurch forward as a discomforting pain moved through his head. Shermie took the initiative as she then flattened her hands, quickly swiping them across and delivered two hard slaps to Raphael’s cheeks, her Orochi enhanced strength now causing the hot headed reptile to stumble from side to side. She hopped forward and then swung her right leg down across to the left, before then following up with another snap of her leg as she moved it across once more, this time aiming for Raphael’s mid-section. She then turned in a spin and then arced her right leg across as she brought it up, intending on slamming her heel across the Turtle’s face. Raphael clenched his muscles as his legs were struck, then feeling is plastron protected mid-section taking a strong blow, though his shell would hold out against the abuse.  However, his head would be ringing when the female Hakkeshu’s blow landed as intended, causing the Turtle to drop over to the side.

“FUCK!” Raphael shouted, firmly grabbing his twin sai within his hands.

Shermie moved forward at an incredible speed as she zeroed in on Raphael. She moved her left arm out, planting a firm hand down onto his shoulder and then pushed herself up as she threw her weight across and then placed her right hand down to the top of his head, effectively now hand standing on the ninja at this point. Shermie quickly dropped her right knee down onto the top of Raphael’s head and shifted her weight down to cause the Turtle to top face first into the hard floor of the greenhouse as she performed her Shermie Shoot technique.

Michelangelo couldn’t help but cringe at that attack, even though he wasn’t fighting— he could swear that surely had to have hurt Raphael. Normally, the hot-headed Turtle would’ve landed some more blows in this fight and even would’ve gained immediate control in this fight. But this… this was different. And it greatly worried Michelangelo. He turned his head to meet Leonardo’s stare but saw that the other Turtle seemed to be staring ahead at the match before them, and even Leonardo seemed to express some… mild concern. This woman whom Raphael seemed to be fighting was definitely faster, and more agile in her approach to fighting… Her style might even have been throwing Raphael off. Surely, that had to be it… But there was more. While he and Raphael had beaten two individuals who were infused with the power of Orochi… This… this was different.

“Guys… Watch and take notes. This is what we’re up against.” Leonardo whispered sternly.

Raphael’s head rang with pain and he had again planted his hands down onto the ground and he pushed himself up onto his feet and shook his head from side to side. Blood trickled down the right corner of his mouth and the red masked ninja wiped it away with his right forearm and Raphael growled in absolute anger. He raised his eyes, shooting a glare to the French member of the Hakkeshu.

Shermie came in as she snapped her left leg out in a front kick, intending on striking Raphael onto his chin but the red masked ninja spun his sai within his hands and he thrust both his hands down and used the blunt ends of his sai handles to block the incoming kick. Spinning his sai once more, Raphael then gripped his weapons in reverse and he leaned forward as he thrust his right arm out—firmly striking Shermie in the solar plexus. The woman lurched forward and she clutched at her abdominal region with her arms as she gasped in pain and discomfort, finding that she was unable to take in her next breath. Raphael immediately turned with his hips and he thrust his arms forward three times, slamming the blunt ends of his twin sai firmly into Shermie’s mid-section again, forcing the woman to be cut off from her breathing. Despite the power of Orochi which these people possessed, they still needed to breathe, and Raphael was going to take that away from her. Quickly he turned in a spin and he thrust his right back and out, slamming his heel directly into Shermie’s body once more, causing her to gasp out. The French woman stumbled back, and coughed as she struggled to regain her breath. Raphael spun his sai in hand, and gripped them right side up and tucked them between his knuckles. He rushed right in towards his opponent, and took aim for Shermie’s mid-section, and the Turtle swing his right arm back across to the right, clawing his sai across.

“AAAAH!” Shermie screamed.

A splash of crimson moved across the air only to drop onto the hard floor of the greenhouse. Shermie clutched her right arm around her mid-section only to then stare down at the injury and widened her eyes to see that she had been lacerated by the red masked reptile. Raphael rushed on ahead and he immediately thrust his right arm forward and out, intent on punching the three pronged weapon through his opponent’s body. Shermie barely managed to evade the incoming stabbing thrust, side-stepping over to her left and retaliated by raising her left leg up and moving it across back over to the left, intending on striking the ninja across his face. Raphael leaned back away from the incoming boot, and responded by leaning forward as he then punched his arms out, intending on stabbing Shermie with his sai. The female Hakkeshu worked to weave from side to side, dodging to the best of her ability.

Raphael quickly threw his weight forward and planted his hands down onto the ground, only to somersault forwar and he kicked his right leg out only to impact Shermie directly into her chest.

“CHEST BUSTER!”

The female Hakkeshu member had felt a might impact slamming into her sternum, and she could’ve sworn her heart skipped a beat from the blow as she widened her eyes. Firmly clutching her chest, Shermie stumbled back and dropped onto her back. Pain washed through her entire body and that was something which only served to infuriate her. She was a member of the Hakkeshu, infused with the power of Orochi and somehow— this freak was humiliating her so openly?

Raphael rushed in, his sai firmly tucked in his hands as he poised himself to strike once more. Fighting through the pain, Shermie immediately bolted to her feet and she quickly dashed and moved to get around Raphael, moving to his blind side. She hopped forward, only to flick her left leg out but pulled out—faking the Turtle out and then snapped her right leg up as hard as he could. Raphael crossed his arms out in front of himself, but soon found that his guard would be crushed through and his defense was down. Quickly, she moved in towards the Turtle and reached out, planting her hands onto Raphael’s shoulders, and then moved her hands up onto his head as she the set herself onto a balanced hand stand on the reptile. She lowered herself only to straddle herself onto his shoulders, and then threw her weight forward and to the left, now spinning herself and her opponent as the two dropped— executing her take down technique, the Shermie Spiral. Raphael was slammed onto the ground and a brief moment of disorientation overwhelmed his senses as he now writhed in discomfort.

Shermie pushed herself to her feet and hunched to reach down for the shoulders of the mutant Red Ear Slider, only to pull him up and then wrapped her arms around his mid-section from behind. She lifted up with her legs and then leaned up and back only to perform a suplex and slammed the Turtle back first onto the ground. Raphael firmly clenched his eyes shut, and slumped onto his chest as the pain washed over him. Shermie flipped to her feet once more and rushed forward, stopping only to hunch down and she pulled her opponent to his feet once again. She would swing her left hand across, open handed, slapping Raphael hard across the face before she leaned up and raised her right leg up, knee extended and firmly impacted the Turtle directly in his chin. Quickly turning in a spin Shermie raised her right leg up and swung it diagonally up, performing a spinning back wheel kick and firmly struck Raphael hard across his face, the heel of her boot contributing to most the damage. She dropped and firmly planted her hands onto the floor of the greenhouse, and extended both legs out as she seemingly reverse cartwheeled, using her feet to catch and grab onto the Turtle’s neck. Raphael then found himself weightless for a moment only to be slammed down by Shermie. Without any hesitation, Shermie then sprung to her feet and once more wrapped her arms around Raphael’s mid-section, heaved up suplex the ninja— only to throw him into the bushes.

Pain moved through Raphael, and he fought to shake the cobwebs away. As he registered his current surroundings, he saw that he was surrounded by the greenery of the indoor garden around him. This provided him some cover and he released his hands from his sai and quickly moved his hands to his utility belt—feeling around for whatever it was he was searching for. When he found it, he drew the small object out and slowly rose up to his knees as he moved his left hand down, grabbing both sai. He looked ahead only to watch as Shermie ran in towards him.

“Nah, bitch!” Raphael growled.

He flicked his right hand and firmly threw the object across, now watching as it hit the ground and erupted in a bright flash. Smoke wafted through the area and Shermie was forced to stop in her movements. Her vision was obstructed by the smokescreen and she swing her hands across, attempting to move the smoke away. However, Shermie had failed to noticed that her enemy had rushed away from his current spot, now moving behind the bushes and the trees. When the smoke cleared, Shermie frantically looked for the mutant Red Ear Slider.

“WHERE DID YOU GO?!” She shouted.

Several shining objects spinning through the air suddenly moved across. Shermie felt a hot, stinging pain moving into her shoulders and into her mid-section as well. She shrieked out in absolute pain and anger as she shot a glare to the shurikens which now were embedded into her flesh. Frantically she took hold of each and every single metal piece which was in her shoulders and mid-section and worked to pull the objects out. She then angrily turned in all directions, looking for any sign of her opponent. She was more than ready to tear the reptile apart at this point.

Raphael erupted from the tree and pounced at his opponent. He snapped a kick out at his opponent’s back, firmly impacting Shermie right in the middle of her shoulders and forced her to stumble. She grunted and quickly turned to meet her opponent; all while she swung her right leg back across to the right and performed a spinning back wheel kick for his head. The red masked hunched down and managed to evade the incoming blow. In retaliation, Raphael then snapped his right leg up in a high side kick as he aimed for Shermie’s chin but the female Hakkeshu member weaved to her left and evaded the incoming kick. She retaliated by turning with her hips and swung her fists over from right to left, intending to go for the Turtle’s head but Raphael hunched beneath the incoming fist only to immediately spin his sai within his right hand and responded by moving his right arm in an uppercut, intending on striking the blunt end of his sai into the French woman’s chin.

Shermie’s head jerked back as she felt her teeth grinding against one another. When she snapped her head down and forward, she quickly hopped forward and somersaulted forward only to plant her hands down onto Raphael’s shoulders. She threw her weight to spin and this would levitate Raphael off from the ground and she positioned Raphael sideways while in mid-air, his carapace then facing the ceiling. Shermie threw her legs down, stomping her heeled boots onto Raphael’s shell, and the ninja slammed down onto his chest with the woman standing on his back as Shermie managed to land one of her more powerful techniques— the Shermie Shock.

“I’m going to break that fucking shell of yours if it’s the last thing I do!” Shermie scowled.

She hunched down and firmly grabbed the Turtle by his shoulders, forcing him to turn and she wrapped her arms around her mid-section once more. She would lift the mutant red masked ninja’s weight upward, and suplex him firmly onto the ground, lifted him up and turned in a spin, only to slam him back in another suplex. She would do this a total of three times only to then throw Raphael high up into the air and she followed by leaping up, now clutching her legs around Raphael’s neck and spun her weight on the way down, slamming the Turtle onto the ground as she now managed to land the Shermie Carnival onto him.

“Leo, this doesn’t look good for Raphael!” Donatello shouted.

Leonardo just crossed his arms out in front of his plastron protected chest and he shook his head from side to side. He had hoped that Raphael would be enough to overwhelm his opponent. Could this be what Chizuru meant? He couldn’t help but ponder. Leo turned to look over to Donatello and Michelangelo, now seeing their shocked and concerned expressions, especially on Michelangelo’s face… and Leonardo saw something of a flicker of flame in the youngest Turtle’s eyes. And he couldn’t help but blink at this…

“Hah hah hah hah hah! Am I too much woman for you, freak?! Where was that spark you had moments ago?!” Shermie laughed.

Shermie then jumped forward, her arms extended outward as she aimed to pounce onto Raphael. However, the red masked hot head dove ahead and managed to evade the Hakkeshu female. Quickly he then turned with his hips and he swung his left arm across, clawing his sai tucked in his down across to the left, slashing at Shermie’s mid-section once more cutting through skin and drawing blood. Shermie twitched her eyes, and swiped at Raphael as she moved her right arm across but he leaned back away from the incoming strike, now reverse somersaulting and kicked both feet up, firmly impacting the woman in her chin and sent her flying towards one of the center fountain in the greenhouse. Shermie’s weight hit the surface of the water, splashing and hitting the bedding of the pond.

Raphael ran and quickly rushed into the fountain. Trudging through the water, Raphael was prepared to finish this and claim victory against his opponent. He spun his sai and gripped them in reverse, now thrusting his arms down and intended to make a stab at Shermie’s shoulders. The woman moved her head up and she took a firm hold of Raphael by the wrist, and used whatever strength she could muster to prevent him from putting his pronged weapons through her. She pulled Raphael in towards her and moved her hands up, releasing Raphael in the process only to place her hands down onto the back of his head. She then would violently thrust her right knee up, smashing it into the center of Raphael’s face as hard as she could. The red masked ninja felt a wash of pain moving across his face and the pain rushed into his head. Shermie continued to slam her knee into her opponent’s face.

Raphael then thrust the sai in his left hand across and pierced the three pronged weapon firmly into the side of Shermie’s leg. Blood burst from the entrance wound and pierced out from the woman’s inner thigh. Shermie shrieked out in complete pain and abject terror. Raphael pulled his sai out and he turned it only to swing across horizontally to the right, clawing at Shermie’s mid-section. Another set of three lacerations were marked onto Shermie’s mid-section, causing her to gasp and hiss in absolute pain.

Furious and now burning with a desire to end her opponent, Shermie tackled Raphael as she then rested her arms behind the back of his neck— with the two now splashing into the bottom of the fountain. As his happened, Raphael then firmly plunged both his sai into the sides of his opponent— droplets of crimson now stained the water of the fountain. She widened her eyes in pain and found herself unable to follow through with her desperation technique—had she been able to go through with the Shermie Exposition, she was more than confident that she would’ve been able to crush the Turtle but… she hadn’t been expecting this. Both Raphael and Shermie slumped in the fountain, the water stained red and both laying back— the water now resting above their faces.

Neither was getting up… The match finished in a draw.

“RAPH!” Michelangelo shouted.

Soon all three Turtles now rushed over to the fountain and moved to the hot-headed Turtle, and took hold of their brother. Raphael was exhausted, bruised and unable to fight at this point. Barely conscious, Raphael shot a glare to his opponent and saw that Shermie was struggling to move. The sudden realization that he hadn’t walked away with a victory was enough to infuriate the red masked hot head and Raphael angrily grunted.

“I had that bitch… I fucking had her.” He breathed heavily.

“Raph, you did all you could.” Donatello spoke out.

Leonardo and Donatello then had pulled Raphael from the fountain but failed to notice that Michelangelo didn’t even so much as move back. The leader and the genius now were looking over their ill-tempered sibling. Both siblings were able to determine that Raphael didn’t have anything broken. His shell was quite intact… If anything, Shermie might be in worse shape than their brother.

“So that’s the guy who beat the red head, huh? Well… If he beat the red head and he tied with Shermie… Tch, then that means beating Yagami shouldn’t be too much of a problem. But then again, Shermie gave your team mate a hard time. That means… You guys shouldn’t be a problem at all.” Yashiro spoke out as he moved to where Shermie writhed in the fountain.

He then had hunched down and slipped his hands underneath Shermie’s shoulders and pulled her up from the water, then turned to look over to Chris and Yamazaki. Yamazaki snarled as he sharply turned his head to the left and shook his head from side to side, refusing to aid his fellow Hakkeshu but Chris quickly moved to the aid of Shermie, now pulling her out from the fountain. Yashiro moved his hands, adjusting his gloves as he now looked to the four Turtles, and smirked upon seeing the beaten ill-tempered sibling. He chuckled in amusement and was now already setting himself in his fighting posture, now bouncing on his toes.

“As I said, this is going to be easy… Which one of you is going to next?”

Leonardo stepped forward as he then shot a glare to Yashiro, and the red masked field leader approached the fountain but then Michelangelo moved his left arm out— barring the older Turtle from entering this one. Leonardo blinked as he cocked his head back, wondering what Michelangelo was going.

“I want this one, Leo. They made their goal clear… Raph’s hurt. I ain’t gonna let that go.” Michelangelo whispered.

Leonardo nodded his head and took several steps back, rejoining Donatello in tending to their fallen brother. Michelangelo turned his head to his left shoulder, peering over it as he then looked to his older brother. Raphael and him had always been close despite their different personalities, and even though Raphael could sometimes be quick to anger and even an asshole from time to time— he was still his best friend and closest sibling. He took in a deep breath of air and slowly nodded to himself… Michelangelo knew what he needed to do. He moved his hands down to his belt, and took hold of the twin nunchaku within his grasp and now shot a glare to Yashiro.

“Oh, so it’s looking like it’s going to be you? No matter… This match has already been decided.”

Michelangelo gave no response.

“Scared?” Yashiro inquired.

No response from the Turtle again. All Michelangelo did was simply glare at Yashiro. The lack of response was enough to stir a negative reaction from the white haired Hakkeshu. Yashiro couldn’t help but shake his head as he snarled and then quickly rushed right in towards Michelangelo. As he neared his opponent—Yashiro immediately swung his right and left arm across, aiming to deliver two strong hook punches and then he would swing his right arm upward in an uppercut for Michelangelo’s chin. The once wily, now oddly… serious and grim Turtle then weaved and managed then evade the first two punches. When the uppercut came, Michelangelo side-stepped inward and rushed right in towards Yashiro as an opening was found.

Michelangelo twirled his nunchaku and then swung his right arm upward, intending on striking the chained weapon directly into Yashiro’s chin.

The second match between the Turtles and the Hakkeshu now kicked off.

So the next match up in the Mirage Turtles arc has finally been posted. Let me just say that while I am quite disappointed in the results of the last match being a draw, it's even more challenging and frustrating because I have to think of a way to how the characters were able to stalemate one another. It's something of a personal pet peeve of mine whenever a draw between two characters plays out and a feasible way of detailing how the outcome happens is difficult, because I want the recap to come across as something intense, and something quite dire that both sides are experiencing. Thankfully, finding Shermie's moveset was easy to find especially with the new KOF game that was released not too long ago, and perhaps to my disappointment-- her moveset was quite boring and I was only able to use quite a few of her techniques. But I worked to compensate for this by having her land some good hits on Raphael with her kicks and techniques. She doesn't have many punching strikes, more along the lines of slaps but I was sure to work that in of course.

I suppose that for whatever reason, people didn't really seem to gravitate towards Raphael in the last match up but people seemed to like Michelangelo-- so I decided to use Michelangelo for this one. What fueled me to use Michelangelo was how people responded to him in the match up with Aska. Also with Michelangelo seeing his closest sibling down and out, I also wanted to inject a little bit of Last Ronin here in Mirage Michelangelo. Hopefully that came across well enough here. Yes, ladies and gentlement-- we're working with Serious! Mirage Michelangelo here and his opponent is going to be Yashiro-- one of the harder hitting members of the Hakkeshu. I figure that he would be something of a decent challenge for Serious! Mirage Michelangelo and vice versa!

Hopefully... this one won't end in a draw.

Seriously... Draw matches suck.

And remember-- ENVIRONMENT IS ALSO A FACTOR IN THIS BATTLE! Something I feel like people need to seriously consider.

For new readers who are just hopping onto this storyline here, I suggest you look at the Mirage TMNT Respect Thread to see what the Mirage Turtles are more than capable of.

--

Michelangelo is Low Tier Superhuman in terms of physicals. Think Above Peak Human due to his mutation and training.

Michelangelo is in Serious Mode.

Michelangelo possesses his Twin Nunchaku, Shurikens, Smoke Bombs, and Kunai.

Yashiro Nanakase is in Peak Conditioning due to his training.

Yashiro Nanakase has his moveset from the KOF games.

Yashiro Nanakase DOES NOT have access to his Orochi Yashiro form as that requires external awakening from Goenitz or Orochi to access as dictated in KOF canon.

Since you emphasized the environment, I think Michealangelo would really use this to his advantage. His ninjistu training would help him get around Yashio's powers. When it gets real Michealangelo's speed and unpredictability really come into play.

That's the reason why I always post up pictures of the environment so I don't have to emphasize it. The environment is ALWAYS a factor in my matches. It's something that hasn't been done on the CBUB before until I started incorporating them into the matches.

Powers are great and all, but they aren't the end all be all when it comes to fighting.

True dat, true dat. The area  does matter at least sometimes.

I'm not saying nunchuck turtle  is going to fight 'smart' but he's trained in stealth so using his surroundings should come naturally to him.

Heh heh heh heh... Nunchuck Turtle.

But yeah, Mikey is often the most underestimated Turtle, but if you read the Last Ronin story... He's actually lived up to his potential!

Another great set-up, Rakai. Very nice recap with Raph and Shermie. I was wondering if Shermie would be pushed into using her more extensive Orochi power, and if that may have ended up factoring into the draw, but I do still really like what you did here.

As for the match, yes, Yashiro being one of the Orochi Warriors, is probably going to be pretty tough. A focused Mikey, though, can be tough, too:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUig0eHLVF4#t=15m8s

Given that this episode was at least partially based on one of the Mirage storylines, and that Mirage Michelangelo was even more skilled (pre-Ninja Tribunal training, anyway) and focused and less cowardly than 2003 Michelangelo, this was likely only a taste of what Mirage Mikey is capable of. Yashiro may make Mikey work with his skill and physicals, but when focused, Mikey is very tough to handle.

BTW, only two people have commented on this great match? C'mon, folks, comments and critiques are a good part of what motivates CBUB writers.

Yeah, I am wondering why not many people have commented. I am pondering of people are getting bored with the Turtles storyline.

None the less... You're very much right. When Michelangelo is in serious mode, he is a force to be reckoned.

Thanks! Who do you think wins?

Man, I honestly don't know. I have knowledge of Mickey and the Turtles. I feel like through your matches, I've gotten to know more about the Mirage Turtles. All of the Turtle are extremely skilled and each one brings their own specialty to the table. From some of my searches, I've seen Michey involved in an elseworld story called The Ronin or something like that, so I'd definitely be interested in getting more invested with the world of TMNT

With l that said, I have absolutely no knowledge what so ever of King of Fighters. I don't know how skilled or dangerous Yashiro is.

Man, just don't know

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at it's core is a far cry from the 1987 cartoon which forever burned itself into the public consciousness. The original Mirage and IDW TMNT series are pretty deep, and Last Ronin is a really good story that shows exactly how dark and gritty the TMNT can truly be if allowed to venture into that territory.

With l that said, I have absolutely no knowledge what so ever of King of Fighters. I don't know how skilled or dangerous Yashiro is.

You can always look up Youtube videos on KOF characters if you ever need to!

That is what I've seen. I think the '87 cartoon was a good way to introduce folks to the brand but I've seen a lot more to it. I would like to get in the Mirage and IDW series. I'd also like to get in the Last Ronin. I feel like that would be a good arc to explore or see on here.

Oh yeah I'm about to check out that Last Ronin. Been wanting to get that.

And no we are not tired of the turtles run. Sometimes other things just get in the way.

Well, it's linked for everyone to read!

It's a REALLY good story. It's the Old Man Logan of TMNT.

Hey Rakai,

Although the line said earlier by Leonardo gave a brief effort of preparing me for the fight, I must say I was not expecting this one to be as brutal as it was. That being said, it both works and works well, as the nature of this fight, and the type of injuries that both Raphael and Shermie were suffering in said fight, work well in providing the impetus for Raphael, and Shermie to some extent, to truly unleash his more primal, brutal form of aggressive combat. The fight here, is how one might think of Raph in the instances where he gives in to his anger and lets his rage power him up, an important thing to see to be sure, as this is Raph with his psychological shields down, this is Raph without the suppression abilities he has learned over the years, the real Raph underneath it all.

Mikey will have to be on guard against Yashiro here, as his Capoeira like style of fighting will test his reaction times and his strategical capabilities quite a bit. Yashiro will also keep Mikey on his toes with his speed, and his wind manipulation techniques as well, as each one will push Mikey to find a way to counter either or involved, with speed being countered only by reaction times and strong defenses and wind manipulation, requiring Mikey to find the time to dodge and the right type of dodge to perform in order to properly avoid the attack(s) before they hit him and leave him reeling in response.

Yashiro will also have to be on guard here, as Mikey's serious demeanor is on full display here, and that means that he won't be as forgiving in his efforts to defeat Yashiro, in fact, as was the case before and in the comics, he might be even more to apt to go about thrashing Yashiro and leaving him well and truly battered as opposed to how some might think he would handle this fight. Yashiro should also be on guard, as his focus on all out offense, leaves him open to being both outlasted in defensive fighting, and speed fighting, that is to say, if Mikey pummels him and pummels him quickly over the course of this fight Yashiro will find himself backed into a corner very hastily.

All in all, a good fight, and I think this one will give you a pretty good write-up as well.
