Leonardo turned in a spin as he swung both swords held firmly within his grasp across, slashing the blades for his opponent’s chest region but the older Japanese fighter hopped back away from the incoming steel swords. Leonardo then spun both weapons within his grasp and once more gripped the handles, only to then bring both his arms down as he would then slash the swords down for the top of Saisyu Kusanagi’s head but the older fighter quickly side-stepped to his right and managed to evade the two swords once again. In response to the Turtle’s initial attacks, Saisyu turned with his hips and he took aim for the mutant Red Ear Slider’s mid-section, chest and head as he then turned with his weight and then thrust his left and right arm out three quick times, firmly impacting his fists onto the Turtle’s plastron and then the middle of his face. Leonardo winced his eyes in momentary discomfort but he quickly worked to fight through the pain, now widening his eyes open only to see Saisyu then turn with his hips and he thrust his right arm forward and out in a quick straight thrust. Leonardo side-stepped to his left and he retaliated by turning with his weight as he moved, now swinging his right leg diagonally up over to the left as he took aim for Saisyu’s head while performing a high roundhouse kick. Rather than allowing himself to be struck by the kick, Saisyu raised his left arm up and blocked the kick with his forearm only to retaliate by then snapping his left leg forward and out in a front kick which was aimed for the Turtle’s face, and followed by turning with his hips as he then pushed his arms out twice in two quick straights, followed by a quick uppercut from his right. Leonardo ducked and weaved underneath the two incoming punches, before he crossed his arms out and blocked the uppercut.

Seeing this opportunity to lay more punishment onto his opponent, Saisyu moved his arms out and took hold of the back of the Turtle’s head and aimed to pull him in towards him and bring him down. However, Leonardo would arch himself and he raised his right leg up, standing on his left and pressed his knee against Saisyu’s chest and he brought his arms up only to break out of the older fighter’s hold. Quickly, Leonardo turned with his weight only to bring his right arm across and bent his elbow out, firmly impacting Saisyu across the side of his head.

Shaking his head, Saisyu shot a glare to the red masked ninja and he snapped his left leg forward and out as he intended to bring his foot down onto Leonardo’s face, performing a front snap kick but Leonardo instead greeted the kick by moving his right arm down and blocking it down with his forearm. Saisyu then swung his left and right arm across as he aimed to bring them onto the sides of Leonardo’s head, but the red masked ninja hunched down twice, allowing the fists to pass overhead. Seeing an opening, Leonardo then tensed his leg muscles and pushed himself upward only to then throw his weight upwards and back while raising both his legs up. Saisyu suddenly felt a strong impact colliding into his chin and the blow was enough to make him fall onto his rear as Leonardo flipped back and landed feet first onto the ground.

Leonardo then rushed forward as his opponent was working to regain his senses, and the red masked ninja then swung his left arm back across, then his right and slashed both Haohmaru’s katana and his ninjaken as he took aim for Saisyu’s chest but the Japanese fighter hopped back twice from the incoming blades. Leonardo then brought his blades together, only to part them as he aimed to perform a double slash attack. Saisyu widened his eyes and once more hopped back, but he felt a breeze moving across and a stinging pain. He looked down, now seeing the top of his attire now cut with a five inch incision, and a light trickle of red moving from the graze.

“So… You’ve managed to draw first blood. Now you’ve truly earned the right to see the flames of the Kusanagi family!” Saisyu spoke, grinning to his opponent as he could feel the blood within his veins boiling with ancitipation.

Focusing on the energy which was within, Saisyu then directed this power to flow through himself and manifested it in the form of fire as he raised his right palm. He moved his arm down and back across to the right, now releasing the flame down onto the ground and watched as it snaked right towards the mutant Red Ear Slider—now performing one of the Kusanagi family’s own techniques. The 108 Shiki Yamibarai.

“Leo look out!” Donatello shouted.

Leonardo reacted swiftly as he then rushed in towards the front of a parked truck, and now hopped onto the grill and rebounded off from it as he pushed himself up and off, and the red masked ninja then threw his weight forward and down only to perform a quick somersault in towards his opponent as he evaded the incoming flame. He then snapped his right leg down and the red masked ninja would find himself impacting Saisyu’s forearms as the head of the Kusanagi house managed to block the kick but the blow was enough to make Saisyu stumble back. Saisyu then firmly planted his feet before he dashed ahead, now closing the space between himself and the mutant Red Ear Slider. Turning in a spin to the left, he around arc his left leg across with the intent to strike at the Turtle, but Leonardo hunched down and Saisyu responded by thrusting his right knee up, firmly impacting Leonardo in the chin. Rattled by the blow, Leonardo’s head snapped back and he momentarily lost his coordination. Saisyu Kusanagi reached out with and took a hold of Leonardo by his left arm and he would turn in a spin, only to lean forward and down and threw the Turtle flat down onto his plastron, performing a Seoi Nage toss. Leonardo grunted as he was dropped on his carapace, and he could feel the air being pushed out from his lungs as he hit the ground but then widened his eyes when he saw a flaming fist coming down for his head. Quickly, the Turtle pulled his head into his shell, and allowed Saisyu’s fist to hit the warehouse concrete floor. Leonardo then would swing both his legs back and he firmly struck the head of the Kusanagi house directly in his head, causing Saisyu to stagger.

Flipping onto his feet , Leonardo rushed in towards his opponent and he would swing his right leg down and across, now landing a firm roundhouse kick onto Saisyu’s knees but then pulled back and performed the motion twice, his right foot impacting the older Japanese man’s mid-section and head only to then turn in a spin to the left and he would bring his right leg across to the left, performing a spinning jumping crescent kick and managed to deliver a strong smack onto the side of Saisyu Kusanagi’s head.

Fighting through the discomfort and pain, Saisyu quickly turned with his hips and he thrust his arms forward and out to deliver two quick jabs, watching as Leonardo swerved from side to side to evade. However, he would skip forward and lean forward with his right shoulder, firmly impacting the ninja in his mid-section to catch him off guard, and as he did so, he directed the energy within and flowed it through his body and moved it to his right hand. Manifesting this energy as flames, Saisyu then pushed his right arm forward as a trail of flames followed as he executed another of the Kusanagi martial arts techniques— the 702 Shiki En Jou. Leonardo was struck firmly in the mid-section and he could feel a heat moving onto him and suddenly felt himself flying back only to crash through a pile of cardboard boxes which had been stacked onto a wooden palette.

“Ouch! Getting burned by those flames is NOT fun!” Michelangelo winced.

Leonardo felt a stinging pain on his body and he looked to see if he was burning in flames but thankfully, that wasn’t the case— the most which he had sustained was some mild redness all over like a sun burn but he most definitely didn’t want to experience getting burned like that again. Now he knew how Mikey felt when the wily Turtle was going up against that Shiranui kunoichi.

“Hah! It seems as if even you are unable to stand up to the flames of the Kusanagi lineage!” Saisyu proudly exclaimed.

Leonardo worked to fight through the stinging pain as he then had curled his legs back only to throw his weight forward, flipping himself back up onto his feet. This action alone made Saisyu raise a brow as he then pursed his lips and grunted in approval of seeing his opponent refusing to stay down.

“Not done yet!” Leonardo spoke with a strong tone.

The two stared upon one another, sizing each other up once more.

Then both immediately rushed ahead, colliding with one another yet again.

Saisyu Kusanagi immediately turned with his hips as he thrust his arms forward and out, intending on striking at Leonardo’s head before he would then turn in a spin to his right and swung his right leg across—performing a spinning wheel kick before flowing into the next attack as he turned with his hips and swung his right leg across over to the left, twice, performing a couple of roundhouse kicks. Leonardo weaved underneath the incoming punches, then crouched to evade the incoming kick for his head. When the roundhouse kicks moved in for him, Leonardo allowed them to strike firmly into the bridge of his shell, allowing the natural body armor to do it’s intended purpose for him. Quickly in retaliation, the red masked leader then had turned with his weight as he then swung his right arm across to the left, his elbow bent out only to firmly strike Saisyu across the face. Leonardo then spun the ninjaken and katana within his grasp, holding the handles in reverse as he then thrust his left arm forward, butting the blunt end of the handle firmly into the middle of Saisyu’s face, smashing it into his nose. Leonardo took the moment to then side-step to his right and he thrust his left knee up, firmly slamming it into the mid-section of his opponent. Saisyu gasped as he felt the air being pushed out from his body, lurching forward from the blow. The mutant Red Ear slider then thrust both his arms down, slamming the blunt ends of his ninjaken handles down into the back of the older Japanese man, and watched as Saisyu dropped onto the ground flat onto his chest.

Saisyu placed his palms onto the warehouse floor, and worked to push himself up as he fought through the dizzying sensation which his head seemed to be experiencing. But seeing his opponent dazed and confused, Leonardo took this opening as he then tensed his leg muscles and pushed himself upwards and back—now reverse somersaulting and he would swing both his legs up and impacted his feet directly into Saisyu’s chin. The head of House Kusanagi winced his dark colored eyes and once more dropped forward, hitting his chest on the warehouse floor and groaned as the throbbing pain in his head was only further exacerbated from the blow. Again, he pushed himself to rise and when he did, the Japanese man snapped back into his own fighting stance once more.

Leonardo rushed in, spinning his blades within his grasp before gripping the handles to stop them from motioning. He turned in a spin over to the right and then swung both his arms across, moving the blades for Saisyu’s chest region but the older Japanese man skipped away from the sharpened tips of the blade. Leo quickly then had leaned forward, and he moved both his arms down and slashed the ninjaken and Haohmaru’s blade downward— but Saisyu side-stepped and moved to circle around Leonardo’s right.

The red masked ninja turned and watched as Saisyu shifted forward as he turned with his hips, now snapping his left leg out in a side kick which was aimed for his head but the mutant Red Ear Slider then crossed his arms out in front of himself, taking the kick directly in his forearms, effectively blocking the attack. However, Saisyu then mentally attuned himself to the energy within himself and he could feel this very flow of energy burning inside. Focusing this energy, he willed it to combust from his right hand. A red spark erupted from his palm, now engulfing his hand. He grinned as he then pushed himself with his feet, now taking to the air as he swung his right arm back across while turning in a spinning, now executing another technique belonging to the Kusanagi lineage.

The 100 Shiki Oni Yaku.

“LEO, LOOK OUT!” Raphael shouted.

However, the red masked leader then pushed himself back and managed to evade the burning technique and wated as Saisyu soared up. But what came up— must definitely come back down. As Saisyu landed onto his feet, Leonardo then had ran forward and ten turned to a spin once more and he moved both his arms out—extending Haohmaru’s sword and his own ninjaken out while spinning like a blender blade. Saisyu widened his eyes as the spinning blades were seemingly aimed for his neck and he immediately backed away from the Turtle. Leonardo ceased in the spinning, and dashed forward only to then push himself up and now take to the air, only to throw his body weight forward and down to perform an aerial somersault. Throwing his weight to the left, Leonardo then snapped his right leg out and managed to firmly kick Saisyu onto his head before landing feet first onto the ground.

“UNNGH!”

Leonardo thrust his ninjaken forward, aiming for Saisyu’s mid-section before he would step forward and swung Fugudoku horizontally over to the left and back across to the right. Hard pressed, the head of the Kusanagi family skipped back away from the incoming trust and hunched down twice to evade the incoming slashes. Leonardo then leaned in and he snapped his left leg out for Saisyu’s mid-section but Saisyu instead side-stepped to his right and moved his arms, grabbing a hold of Leonardo’s foot in his grasp and yanked the Turtle forward only to then throw the leg up while moving his own right foot out and sweeping the back of Leonardo’s standing leg, causing the Turtle to flip backwards. As Leonardo was falling, Saisyu pounced forward and kicked his right leg out— firmly impacting his foot directly into Leonardo’s carapace.

The red masked Turtle was sent colliding into the grill of a parked truck and he rebounded off from it only to then drop flat onto the edge of his shell, and then hitting the warehouse floor flat onto his plastron.

Leonardo narrowed his eyes in discomfort and he took in several deep breaths, now working to fight through the agony which this very fight seemed to be leaving him in. But he had come too far and fought too hard to just allow this one particular battle to get away from him. He had learned so much and there was still so much to learn from this tournament. He looked over to his brothers, noticing the looks of anxiety on Donatello and Michelangelo’s faces and then stared over to his fallen and unconscious brother, Raphael.

No… He would not fall here.

Leonardo positioned his feet and his knuckles onto the floor— the mutant Terrapin drew upon every ounce of willpower and strength which he could muster. Despite whatever stinging pain the flames had left on him, as well as whatever aches he had, Leonardo would continue to fight on.

“Hah! You don’t stay down! I like that, but this is where the fight ends.” Saisyu spoke confidently.

Leonardo would say nothing. Silence seemed to be the only appropriate response as far as he was concerned. He looked to Fugudoku held in his right hand, and the ninja then moved his left arm up and slipped the ninjaken in his hand back in the sheath which it rightfully belonged. He wrapped both hands around the handle of Haohmaru’s katana, positioning the blade vertically as he shifted to proper stance. If he was going to go down, he would go down swinging if the universe allowed it. He took in a deep breath of air through his nostrils and held in his breath for a moment until he exhaled silently. The ninja was prepared.

Victory or defeat, the outcome was drawing closer.

Saisyu drew upon the reserves of energy inside of himself once more, and he set himself to a horse stance while opening his palms and placing them together. Diverting the energy to his hands and focusing on increasing the heat, air combust within his palms as an intense flame formed. The fire grew in size, now engulfing the head of the Kusanagi family and the ground smoldered beneath Saisyu’s feet. The air all around him increased in temperature and the flames engulfing him grew in size as he focused more energy to flow.

“Dude, just how powerful are these guys?!” Michelangelo asked as he turned to Donatello.

“Hard to say Michelangelo, but it’s safe to say these guys are in the superhuman range! I mean the fact that we came this far in the tournament and lived… Phew!” Donatello responded.

Saisyu and Leonardo glared to one another before they stepped forward, making a mad rush to close the space between themselves. Leonardo took in breathes, mentally preparing himself to do what needed to be done. Saisyu focused on increasing the heat he generated, each step he took causing the ground beneath to smoke.

When they were close enough, they took action.

Saisyu thrust his right arm forward and out— releasing an intensely powerful burst of flame as he now performed one of his most powerful techniques. The Ura 108 Shiki Orochinagi.

But Saisyu widened his eyes as he would find that his technique would burn away at nothing but air… as Leonardo pushed himself up to leapt at a height of six feet and two feet forward.  The red masked ninja then would land feet first onto the ground and he turned in a spin only to kick at Saisyu’s mid-section, causing the Japanese man to lurch and gasp in discomfort and pain. Seeing Saisyu doubled over… Leonardo then gripped the katana firmly in both hands, and then swung vertically downward as he took aim for the man’s neck region.

Saisyu widened his eyes as he prepared for what could be his last breath.

But Leonardo pulled his motion at the last second, with Fugudoku only firmly pressing against Saisyu’s neck and only a small trickle of blood ran down the man’s neck. Saisyu moved his right hand up and brushed at the trickling blood, now staring at it as it stained his palm. He slowly nodded.

“Well, you have me at a disadvantage. I concede!”

Leonardo withdraw the katana and lowered the weapon. Michelangelo and Donatello threw their arms up, cheering at their brother’s hard earned victory. Raphael, was slowly coming around as his eyes fluttered. He briefly looked to the direction of where Leonardo stood. And hearing Michelangelo and Donatello’s voices, he could only assume that they had managed to secure a hard earned victory. A small grin appeared on the weary ninja’s face. Benimaru and Shingo shook their heads in defeat but they had to give these newcomers the credit which they had earned. Goro, who was also finally coming around— sat up as he rubbed the top of his head with his left hand. Saisyu clapped is hands, as did Benimaru and Shingo for a hard fought battle.

Leonardo turned to his brothers, and he pumped his left fist in celebration. It was a hard battle won, and more precious experience had been gained. And this experience would help him and his brothers as they would progress onward in the King of Fighters tournament.

The Turtles allowed themselves the night prior to recuperate and gather themselves. In this time, they had taken the moment to review all of the previous battles which they had participated in—going over which were their most intense battles, which fights which they came up short and which fights they ultimately were victorious. The four brothers discussed on how to improve their shortcomings for the upcoming battles. It was perhaps the wisest thing which they could do between then and the next upcoming match. And now the next day had arrived, and the brothers had waited patiently for their time to be summoned to the next match. After what had seemed like hours, the brothers had been informed of the location of their next match. Upon arrival, the brothers were surprised to find that the designated battle arena appeared to be a Japanese zen garden, complete with a Torii which greeted visitors as well as four Buddha statues which seemingly adorned the four corners of a pond which was laid over a bridge.

Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael moved further down the garden and all turned to take in the environment surrounding them. The previous battles had them learn that it was crucial for them to note the terrain and the environment, as it would be crucial to fighting against those with superhuman abilities like the opponents they had managed to overcome individually and as a team.

“Kind of reminds me of Chinese Connection… Remember, when Lee fights the Japanese school and the Russian fighter in that garden?” Raphael whispered to his siblings.

“We are finally glad that you arrived! And right on time!” A voice announced.

The four siblings turned to the direction of where the voice had come from and looked to notice that there was a woman who was dressed in what appeared to be in a Japanese shrine maiden outfit. The Japanese woman then proceeded to greet the Turtles as she nodded to them and moved in their direction. This was something which the Turtles had not been expecting at all. However, they quickly noticed that the woman turned her attention to the right and the left, and from the opposite sides of the garden came two more individuals…

A young man dressed in what appeared to be a Japanese school uniform but likely customized for his own personal taste and he also sported a white headband as well. He also seemed to be sporting a pair of black gloves which had the design of a flaming sun on them as well. In many ways, he was dressed reminiscent of Shingo. The other was another young man, though he appeared to be sporting red hair and a white shirt, as well as a pair of red pants and dark colored shoes—and he appeared to be a relatively unpleasant demeanor, while the other male seemed to have something of a confident one. Both men approached the woman, and then looked over to the Turtles in a moment of curiosity for the time being.

“You four have come a long way in this very tournament, facing off against opponents whom not many would think you would be able to overcome. I have to commend your level of skill and must congratulate you on your progress. Well done. I am Chizuru Kagura, one of the representatives of the three guardian families of our great nation of Japan. Beside me is Kyo Kusanagi, of the Kusanagi family, and Iori Yagami… of what used to be the Yasakani clan.”

The name drew ire from Iori as he turned to shoot a glare to Chizuru, but the woman simply ignored the stare from the rather hot-headed young man. Kyo and Iori looked over to the Turtles with mild interest, at least… Kyo seemed to be expressing some interest as he looked over to Leonardo. Iori… merely stared with contempt.

“So these freaks are our opponents? Tch… They do not seem anything special.” Iori chided.

“Hey jack-off, you might wanna work on your first impressions.” Raphael responded.

“Iori, might I remind you that these four have great potential within despite possessing no powers aside from what they bring with themselves? One of them managed to defeat a member of the Kusanagi family as well as an opponent infused with the power of Orochi. The same power you possess.” Chizuru spoke firmly.

Iori just gave a hard stare to the Turtles as he crossed his arms, grunting to express his displeasure of knowing that he would have to be giving the time and attention to these four.

“Wait, there’s three of you… the tournament dictates that this be a four man team. So where is your fourth member?” Donatello inquired.

Suddenly, there would be movement from above the roof of a nearby structure and the four siblings then had looked to see a young woman standing there with dark colored hair, flowing in the wind. She donned a white headband while she wore a red leotard, and over it was a purple colored vest with a white obi sash tied around her waistline to keep her vest held together and she also had on a pair of red fingerless gloves with wrappings around her wrist. Similarly, there were also wraps around her shins and she also donned on a pair of red sneakers. From the way which the brothers were able to see her move, it was clear that this woman was a Kunoichi.

“Ah, it seemed as if Aska has arrived on time.” Chizuru smiled softly.

“Enough pleasantries, if we are going to fight… Then let’s get to it! These freaks will not even be worth the time or even so much the effort! This is going to be quick!” Iori spoke out as he moved towards the middle of the garden.

Chizuru closed her eyes as she took in a light breath of air and released a somewhat annoyed sigh. Kyo Kusanagi merely shook his head as he looked over to the Turtles and shrugged his shoulders. Both Chizuru and Kyo couldn’t help but feel a little embarrassed for the Turtles due to Iori’s rather attitude towards them.

When Iori had stepped onto the bridge over the pond, he turned to meet the four siblings.

“Well, let’s get this over with! Which one of you pathetic freaks is going to be the first to die?”

“IORI! No killing… we talked about this!” Chizuru firmly spoke.

“I’ve had it with this sonuvabitch…” Raphael grunted.

Michelangelo, Donatello, and Leonardo looked over to their hot tempered brother. In many ways, all four brothers were mutual in their feelings regarding the treatment which Iori was giving them and they were already sick of his arrogance. For their trials and tribulations, the red haired Japanese man could at least give them a little respect and here he is, completely dismissing them after everything which they had been through. And that was already enough to get Raphael’s fire flickering.

“Guys… I’m going first. I wanna make up for that draw match. I think it’s time someone shut this guy’s mouth.” The hot tempered Turtle whispered.

“Raph. Go out there and kick his ass. Do what it takes.” Leonardo spoke.

The two brothers looked to one another. For all of their arguing and fighting, there were times where they had a mutual understanding. Michelangelo and Donatello grinned and they placed their hands onto Raphael’s shoulders, shaking and giving their brother their encouragement and full support. Feeling empowered by the support of his brothers, Raphael stepped forward and would meet Iori only to stop some six feet from him.

“Hmph! So you want to be destroyed first? So be it!” Iori grinned, raising a hand which now burst a purple colored flame within his palm.

Raphael said nothing. He instead eyed the purple flame which Iori had formed and then turned to look at his brothers, and then returned his attention, giving his opponent a glare which could burn through steel. The red masked ninja then had moved his hands down to his utility belt only to then grab hold of his twin steel sai and quickly spun them within his grasp. He pointed to Iori with the sai in his right hand, and shook his head from side to side, disapproving of the young man’s attitude towards him and his brothers.

The mutant Red Ear Slider then had snapped into his own fighting stance and Iori flicked his hand holding the flame, extinguishing the purple fire as he slowly moved into his own fighting posture. Iori would be the first to break the stand-off, moving quickly towards Raphael. The Turtle then released a furious roar from within as he rushed in towards Iori, and the two collided.

The first battle between the Turtles and the Three Treasures began.

After two weeks from the holiday insanity that was Christmas and immediately right after New Years, the continuation of the Mirage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles storyline has been finally posted up. Writing out the recap between Leonardo and Saisyu Kusanagi from the last battle was something of a bit of a challenge as I had to look for footage of Saisyu's moveset and was able to find a decent video and work them into writing the recap. So, after writing the recap-- I went to immediately working on the next match but with the quick arriving holiday week which was leading into Christmas, and realizing that the audience was going to be busy with work and meeting with friends and family, I took a two week hiatus from the storyline. So hopefully the audience is back and life has returned to normal after the holiday shit show that is Christmas and New Years. At least that's what I am quite hoping for anyway...

Writing out the next match, I had figured that this would be Raphael's redemption after the draw which broke his winning streak with his match against Benimaru Nikaido. I also felt that it would be very appropriate that he would fight someone who is just as hot-headed, if not maybe a little more so and I figured, why not Iori Yagami? Also I had a difficult time in figuring out who the fourth member for the Three Treasures was going to be, and while the obvious choice would suggest Ash Crimson, I felt that Ash-- despite his best intentions against Orochi and him serving as an Anti-Villain/Anti-Hero, didn't gel real well with the other members of the team, and instead opted to go with a TMNT character acting as the fourth member and that would've had to be Aska from the Tournament Fighters game. None the less, here is the first match up between the Mirage Turtles and the Three Treasures-- Raphael vs. Iori Yagami!

For new readers who are just hopping onto this storyline here, I suggest you look at the Mirage TMNT Respect Thread to see what the Mirage Turtles are more than capable of.

Raphael (Mirage ) is Low Tier Superhuman in terms of physicals. Think Above Peak Human due to his mutation and training.

Raphael (Mirage) possesses his Twin Sai, Shurikens, Exploding Shurikens, Smoke Bombs, and Kunai.

Iori Yagami is at Peak Human Conditioning due to his training.

Iori Yagami has his moveset from the KOF games.

Iori Yagami CANNOT enter Riot of the Blood as there are no external triggers to induce activation of this Mode.

And that's why such and obscure character got added to the database (Aska). I had that game but I don't remember her at all. Added some alternate pictures of her just because it was easy.

For Raph and Iori I think Raph can take him since Iori doesn't get his totally insane power. As much as I like Iori and hate his loses here he may get taken aback by this turtle's skill.

As far as Iori's Riot of the Blood power to kick in, as far as I know based on what the SNK Wikia article says about it is that it has to be triggered by some external stimuli. This likely is something which only pure blooded Orochi followers would be able to trigger within themselves and induce in half-bloods like Iori and Leona Heidern. In this case, I would think that Orochi would have to stimulate it but Orochi is not around at this time, and is likely dormant. So that's why Iori doesn't have access to this particular power.

Thanks for your comments.

I was very curious to see who you would line up with the Three Sacred Treasures. After reading the description of her entrance, I was wondering if it was an SNK character that I wasn't remembering before you clarified it lol. I vaguely remember Tournament Fighters, but whatever that is a concern for whenever her match comes up.

As for this matchup, it is one of the ones that I am most looking forward to your recap of, no matter the outcome. Given the participants, it should probably be the most brutal of this particular round.

As I've said before, Raphael is my favorite turtle, I was bummed that I missed his last match and his win streak ended against Benimaru of all people (Maybe he will have a good showing on the New Faces Team in XV, but I have always been largely unimpressed by him). So, instinctively I want go with Raph, but man, Iori is a scary good fighter. Even when Ash stole his flames, he was still a beast. I just don't know. I think I will wait a couple of days to see if anyone provides some good insight before I make my choice.

Thanks for commenting but please refresh on the feats which the Mirage Turtles are capable of by looking at the Mirage TMNT Respect Thread and maybe that will help you reach a conclusion. As this match was posted on Sunday, 12:30 AM-- you have until Friday afternoon to reach a conclusion!

Thanks for commenting!

Glad I caught this match on time!

Another great set-up, Rakai. Looks like Leo was just able to outdo Saisyu with his youthful quickness and skill.

One thing I caught though. I see Raph is speaking here:

“LEO, LOOK OUT!” Raphael shouted.

A few paragraphs later, though, it's stated that Raph's still out cold from his fight with Benimaru:

Maybe another Turtle was supposed to shout out? Just something I noticed, albeit a pretty minor thing.

Anyways, as for the match, I have a feeling Raph has a shot here. Iori looks quite skilled and powerful in his own right, but he also seems awfully arrogant and dismissive in this match. That and his hotheadness just might end up costing Iori here.

Glad I caught this match on time!

Another great set-up, Rakai. Looks like Leo was just able to outdo Saisyu with his youthful quickness and skill.

One thing I caught though. I see Raph is speaking here:

A few paragraphs later, though, it's stated that Raph's still out cold from his fight with Benimaru:

Thanks for commenting, DSkillz. I hadn't realized I made many mistakes with the writing. With my current life style on the run and go, I have to write out these things quickly. Unfortunately with this one, there was a lot of mistakes.

Also, thank you for your input.

Holy shit, those results were CLOSE!!

Damn TOO close for Raphael's comfort right there! 6/10 for Raph, 4/10 for Iori... Fuck, that's a tough fight!

Eh, it actually makes sense. Iori's one of the toughest KoF fighters, right?
