Ekans tried Bite as well. It suceeded. Joel's pokemon was still going strong however.

Pikachu's attack succeeded and the Voltorb was weakened to the point of being catch-able.

 

Voltorb attempted to use Thunder Wave. It succeeds, paralyzing Pikachu for a turn.
