Peypeypeypey
An unfortunate pull for Savage here, but I still think he can get the win. With how old and politically powerful he is, Savage's threats would carry a lot of weight, and betraying him would be a very costly mistake unless they put him away for life and did so successfully, which is very unlikely

Savage is the one fixing the trial, and with millennia of pull and experience to boot. As smart of a sleuth as Nancy can be, she's still only a teenager that usually deals with relatively normal criminals.
JohnnyChany
I see Vandal Savage coming out on top in this scenario and thus becoming a worthy arch nemesis for Nancy Drew who then devotes her entire life and several books to finally taking down the ageless criminal.

Bit of thread necromancy, but yeah. Fun idea though! In fact that's a lot like a personal story I've been working on.
