Just to clarify, John beat up several "terrorists" not just one guy.  By the last couple of movies he also seemed to become impossible to kill. But, as a big Die Hard fan, I try to ignore those last two whenever possible.

Absolutely.  On "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles" show.  That's 3 seasons of Indiana Jones adventures which include solving murders. 

How about Indiana Jones Comics?

I can't say if he solved a murder in the comics, but I can say there's a crap ton of Indiana Jones comics from multiple publishers.

I'm sure there's many sources besides the movies one could look at here for Indiana Jones.  For John McClane I'm pretty sure it's just the movies.  And I don't specifically recall him solving a Murder Mystery.  Certainly not in the traditional Agatha Christie vein.

I’m honestly struggling to think how good of detective McClaine is. Most of his movies put him in the action so quickly that it’s not like he’s putting together clues. Indy arguably does more PI work in his three movies.
