Namor doesn't have strength on the new 52 Superman level whose strength is back on the Bronze age like we discussed on the other thread. When did Namor beat Thor?

I think to say Namor makes no difference at all while Thor does...is a bit unfair for Namor. Imperius Rex!

 

How's about breaking the Crimson Bands of Cytorrak? Something Doc Strange says shouldn't be possible, given that the bands are made of the same strands of energy that hold the universe together...

As Thor has stated numerous times, he holds back against most earthborne opponents either out of respect, or for fear of injuring them. Namor isn't even close to Thor (or Supes) physically.

Battles aren't a good way to judge a character's power level because anybody can beat anybody depending on the writer. Namor doesn't have any feats or statements about his abilities that put him anywhere close to Thor.

Um...Namor regularly fights guys like Thor. Spider regularly fights guys like Doc Ock. To say that a PIS laden fight is the same is ignorant. Namor has beaten Hulk quite easily in the past, just like Thor has, which is something I'd say that puts him quite up there, Thor holding back or no.

His fights against Thor are, numerous or not, PIS, because he has absolutely no showings that put him on someone like Thor's level. He beat the Hulk easily underwater, which is a major disadvantage for someone like the Hulk, considering he can't fly or breathe underwater. Thor fights the Hulk physically, on land, and wins (without even using his own vast assortment of godly abilities). Thor and Superman are both far stronger than Hulk (when he's not completely enraged, i.e WWH) anyway, so it's a flawed argument to begin with.

 

If you actually think Namor is even close to being on someone like Thor or Superman's level, you're horribly misinformed. If you can find a scan of Namor performing a feat (not a battle, because, as I said before, anyone can beat anyone in comic books) that shows he can lift something as heavy (or heavier) than Earth, or that he can move FTL, I'll be happy to concede, though.

the thing has fought thor and did ok in the past and so has namor they are both in the top 10 strongest beings on earth .
