The Yautja and the Four-Arms collided with each other with tremendous force. Both interlocked hands as they wrestled over control over the other, both trying to push the other off balance but were simply unable to get the advantage over the other. The Four-Arms was strong, it wasn’t unreasonable that these creatures were perhaps worthy adversaries for their brute strength. But even so, while strength was a valuable asset, it wasn’t the deciding factor in a battle. Cunning and wits often provided to be quite useful. That much the Yautja warrior knew. He and the Four-Arms pushed against another still, comparing each others strength to their own. This creature was proving already to be a most worthy opponent. Dachande grinned underneath his helmet, his upper right mandible lifted as if he could smirk. Both pushed against one another, releasing interlocking hands. The Four-Arms roared with a fury that matched his own strength, it lunged out an arm, intending on battering Dachande with. Dachande immediately threw an arm up, parrying the incoming strike with his forearm and the multi-limbed creature unleashed two more incoming fists from his lower arms. Dachande blocked three of the incoming fists with his forearms as he swung his arms, moving them in an inside outside fashion, but the fourth first immediately moved upward, impacting the clan Elder up against the chin. Dachande retaliated by ignoring the wave of pain rushing through his head, and he swung his right arm, slashing his right handed wristblades across the Four-Arm’s chest. A splash of crimson came forth as the creature’s flesh had been torn, but the Four-Arms didn’t seem to relent. It swung both of it’s left arms horizontally, trying to strike twin punches onto the experienced warrior, but Dachande blocked the incoming double punches by raising his right arm and leg, standing only on his left leg and took the punches full force with the block. He returned the strike by snapping out his right leg straight out, impacting it against the Four-Arms’ abdomen, causing the creature to lurch forward with a grunt of discomfort. But like his prey, he didn’t relent either. In the Hunt, there was no room for hesitation, no room for mistakes as they could prove to be fatal. Dachande leaned forward and plunged his left arm outward, puncturing his left handed wristblades deep into the creature’s left shoulder. Blood fell onto the concrete street as the warrior’s strike managed to shed more blood. Yeyinde reared his right arm back, slashing his right handed blades across the creature’s mid-section again. The Four-Arms growled with anger and moved it’s lower arms out for the Elder. Dachande felt something grabbing down onto his mid-section with power, and the creature lifted him up off from his feet. He widened his eyes as a meaty, three fingered fist rammed right directly into his field of vision. A flash of white and a wash of a throb entered into his head. Another fist hit the warrior directly in his head, his mask taking the brunt of the damage. Another. And another. He roared with fury as the Four-Arms aimed to deliver another punch. Dachande lunged out with a free hand, clasping the fist within his hand and stopped it from hitting him. The Four-Arms unleashed another fist, but with his remaining free hand, Dachande caught the fists, now holding both in hand. The Four-Arms and the Yautja roared with conflicting fury. Dachande felt his body weight being jerked, and he found himself thrown to the ground as the Four-Arms threw him down onto the hard ground. He watched as his prey lunged and jumped. Dachande rolled to the side, out of the way as the big, burly creature’s body weight had hit the ground, hard enough to break the concrete with tremendous force. Dachande rose up quickly and with such physical prowess but watched as the Four-Arms created something from within his hands. A surging energy as the creature flung all four arms forward, firing some sort of projectile. The Elder was struck right in his armored chest, and the force was enough to make him stumble backward. It was much more powerful than the projectiles that the Arm-Blade could’ve produced, and Dachande felt a wash of pain overwhelming him. He growled as he glared to the Four-Arms as it made an unmistakable noise. Laughter. This creature displayed arrogance. Dachande was completely dumbfounded as the creature took in a posture, curling and flexing it’s arms as if it was displaying it’s own might. Infuriated at the stupidity of the Four-Arms, the Yautja stood up to his feet, rushing right in for the creature. The Four-Arms pushed an arm out, attempting to strike the warrior directly in his masked face, but the Elder curled himself forward and rolled past the larger prey’s legs. Dachande rolled to his feet, he spun and kicked out a leg, smacking his foot against the Four-Arm’s own feet, managing to knock the prey off his balance and forced him to fall forward onto his chest and face. He didn’t waste any time. Yeyinde lunged out with his left arm, taking a firm hold of the Four-Arms by the neck, using his own strength to lift the prey off from his feet. He lashed his right arm forward, stabbing his right handed wristblades deep into the muscled chest of the Four-Arms. Blood spilled out from the wounds, landing onto the ground as the prey grunted and growled with pain. Dachande lifted the Four-Arms over himself, throwing the prey across the street, watching as the massive form crashed through a light post. The Four-Arms slowly got back up, though with mild difficulty. Dachande could only take what he could get, but he saw that he was weakening the Four-Arms. Now he just needed to expand on it. The prey arched it’s back and roared. Bloodied, cut and bruised, the Four-Arms rushed in towards the Elder warrior. Dachande timed the moment. He measured every step. The Four-Arms reached out for him, and immediately he moved. Dachande leapt forward, curled his body forward and allowed his weight to shift as he somersaulted through the air. The time to strike was now. His wristblades were positioned for striking, and he knew where to strike. Dachande swung his arms, lashing the wristblades out for the unprotected flesh of the Four-Arms. --- The Shokan Prince held his arms out in front of himself. He winced in pain as the blades were cutting into his skin and muscle on his forearms, but pain was nothing to him. He was a Shokan. And more importantly, he was a Shokan of the Draco lineage, and Prince of the Subterranean kingdom of Kuatan. Never the less, he had never faced a more worthy opponent than this armored warrior who was before him. A rush filled Goro’s mind and senses as he wanted nothing more than to crush his opponent in honorable combat, to prove his strength that there was none stronger than he. Not even the damned Shaolin, Liu Kang. He growled more in discomfort as the blades were slicing into his muscle, and Goro punched out both his left arms out in trying to pummel his enemy down. With such speed, the mysterious warrior leapt back. This only served to infuriate the Shokan. Goro focused his energy to channel through all four arms, and spheres of green colored energy formed within his hands. He pushed his hands outward, firing another blast of energy from his palms, intent on striking the warrior as he didn’t expect it before. Instead, Goro found that he had struck nothing but a mail box instead as the armored warrior jumped and somersaulted over his energy blast. The Shokan Prince watched as a foot had slammed right into his eyes. He stumbled back, but then was impacted in the forehead once more as the warrior vaulted another front kick out. Goro momentarily lost his balance. But he will not falter so easily. Goro clenched his fists firmly, swinging his upper arms over from right to left-- the unknown warrior ducked underneath the incoming punches, but Goro swung his two lower arms up, smashing his fists up against the warrior’s masked head from underneath the chin. Goro watched as his enemy flew back, and hit the ground hard. “Ha ha ha ha ha! You have fought well, but you are no match for the Prince of all Shokan! I will make sure that you shall die a warrior’s death!” Goro taunted as he stalked in closer. The Prince rose his right leg up, and pushed it down straight for the alien warrior’s head, but Goro found his intended stomp to be halted. He glared as the alien warrior defiantly glared back to him, gripping onto his foot with a free hand. There was plenty of fight left in this foe. He suddenly shifted forward as the alien warrior pulled him in closer, and the Prince rose up all four of his arms. A sharp pain entered directly into his chest as something punctured through his upper body. Goro looked down to see what had happened. He scoffed. The enemy had managed to punch his wristblades deep into his chest. And Goro was finding it increasingly hard for him to breath. Something was swelling up, pooling in his throat. He spat out blood, and the Shokan Prince started to feel his own body weight becoming heavy. “Well played.” Goro coughed, his own life fluid running down from his mouth and neck. He slumped down to his knees, unable to stand anymore. It hurt so much just to breath. The Prince looked up at his adversary as the armored alien warrior stood tall above over him. The enemy moved a hand out, taking a firm hold of the Shokan by the neck and Goro immediately felt weightless. Goro groaned, unable to fight anymore. He had accepted his fate. It wouldn’t have been any other way. The last thing he saw was the emotionless mask of his enemy staring back at him. He heard the guttural and feral growls of the alien warrior as he swung his right handed wristblades in an uppercut fashion for the underneath of his chin. Goro felt something ripping into his chin, and flesh being torn. His vision went black. --- With his prey decapitated, and his spinal column pulled out in the process of the kill, the warrior had earned a hard earned trophy. Truly his prey was a warrior in his own right. But more was added to the Elder warrior’s experience. Dachande’s hands were stained with crimson as he held the decapitated head of the Four-Arms, at the base of the skull. The spinal column snaked around the Yautja warrior’s right wrist. He held his prize high to the sky, as if presenting it to a warrior deity. With renewed energy, Dachande roared in triumph. Another trophy but one rightfully earned in the Hunt. His skill, wit, cunning and experience had carried him through. The prey was confident in his brute strength, and Dachande took advantage of that arrogance which lead to the Four-Arms’ downfall. But such victory wasn’t without a price. Dachande growled as he felt a throbbing moving through his head. The Four-Arms was strong enough to actually make the warrior feel some pain. But never the less, Dachande was alright. A little bruised but it was something which could be ignored. He had sustained worse, and he could always treat his wounds with a medi-kit. Now would be a fair enough time to do that. The Elder stared all around himself, there was much destruction and death everywhere. The Young Bloodeds were more than likely having their hands full with the Arm Blades and the Four-Arms. They were going to be fine. But his instincts told him to go seek out a group. And a good hunter always followed his instincts. Not doing so, often was a fatal mistake. Dachande placed his prize with the bloodied head of the Arm Blade, and gathered his discarded weapons. It was time to regroup with the Young Bloodeds. --- He moved through the streets, helping whatever innocent bystander had been caught in the fighting. He also had been doing a large share of the fighting himself, and upon learning that the Shokan forces were here on their way in the city, could only make the battle even more dire. There had been so many lives lost and he could only hope to prevent anymore damage being done to Earthrealm. But the visions which Raiden had been having were beginning to make him lose faith in the Thunder God. Liu Kang had hoped, and he had prayed that these visions which his friend and mentor were experiencing, weren’t the delusions of an addled mind. None of this made any sense to him. He had won the ninth Mortal Kombat tournament, he had won Outworld’s tournament as well and even defeated the tyrant emperor Shao Kahn. But it wasn’t enough. Outworld had invaded Earthrealm by storm, and nothing could’ve prepared the people of Philadelphia to defend themselves. All they could do is run and hide. He didn’t blame the people of the city, it was the only thing which they could do. They weren’t fighters. Not like him and Kung Lao. Kung Lao. Kung Lao was dead and Raiden let it happen, believing that it was him that was supposed to defeat Shao Kahn, when it had been Liu Kang himself all along. But it wasn’t enough. It was never enough. How many lives were going to be claimed before Shao Kahn could be stopped? What price needed to be paid for victory? “By the Elder Gods, what happened here?” Liu Kang stopped in his path as he felt a chill running down his spine. His eyes widened as he looked up and noticed the skinned bodies of numerous Tarkatans and Shokan alike. Some of them even had the hearts torn from the cadavers. Liu Kang had never seen such violence like this before. He looked around for any human bodies but there were none-- none killed like this anyway. The Shaolin monk slowly proceeded down his path, moving through the visceral scene. Liu Kang stopped in his movements as he looked to one body in front of him. The clothing was unmistakable. It was Prince Goro. Or what was left of him. But where was the head? And the spinal column seemed to be torn from the body. Liu Kang blinked, pondering if there was an ally that Earthrealm had. Or potentially another enemy. But one thing was certain, Outworld had lost a powerful force to be reckoned with. Goro was dead, and the defenders of Earthrealm could perhaps exploit this new weakness in Outworld’s forces. Liu Kang ran through the streets of Philadelphia, needing to get to Saint Peter’s Church to rejoin with the others. --- The Grandmaster’s plan was bearing fruit. It was a wise decision to proceed with the Cyber Initiative. It had only served to make the Lin Kuei stronger than ever before. They were much more silent than the night, and far more deadlier than the dawn. The power bestowed upon him was unlike anything he could’ve imagined when he had been human. If it was the Grandmaster’s plan to proceed with such an endeavor to maintain loyalty within his clan, then so be it. Everything which he had vowed to do was in the service of the Lin Kuei and there was no changing that. After all, as the Grandmaster’s son, he had something of a legacy to live up to… or even claim as his own. Philadelphia was soon to be taken and absorbed into Outworld. The Emperor had exchanged the life of Sub-Zero in turn for the servitude and loyalty of the Lin Kuei. And this had also given him the opportunity to find the traitorous Smoke, and bring him back to the Lin Kuei headquarters to be turned. The Lin Kuei did not tolerate insubordination. And the Lin Kuei do not tolerate deserters. No one leaves the Lin Kuei once they have been inducted into it. And the Cyber Initiative made sure of that. He was one of the first to be willingly turned into a Cyborg. Cyrax and Sub-Zero had to be forced into their conversion. Sektor roamed the streets of Center City Philadelphia, over-seeing the progress of the battle between the United States Colonial Marines and the Tarkatans who were provided support with the Shokan. And the Lin Kuei had been doing their share as well. Many of the enemy forces had been subdued and apprehended, or even downright killed. Sektor halted in his tracks as two Policemen had jumped from the corner of a nearby pile of rubble, and they aimed their side arms and immediately took fire. Sektor stared lifelessly at the two, bullets bouncing and ricocheting off from his armored, metal form. The red robotic ninja retracted two barrels out from his wrists and took aim as he immediately unleashed a burst of fire out from within the barrels, setting the two police officers ablaze. He watched as they fell back and writhed, screaming in pain. “Now you know the power of the Lin Kuei. It is useless to resist.” Sektor spoke with a monotone voice. Suddenly, something had impacted his head, and the cyborg was caught off guard. Another impact across the head, another into his torso and suddenly he found himself being picked up and thrown across the street. With a violent landing, Sektor skidded against the ground. A quick diagnostics check, and his readings indicated that all systems were nominal. He adjusted his visual settings, switching to different spectrums. The thermal settings had managed to get a glimpse of something which he didn’t notice earlier. Sektor flipped himself up onto his feet immediately, and glared in the direction of his invisible enemy whom he could now see via the thermal visuals. Sektor primed his onboard weapons system, and was prepared to do combat. “I will show no mercy!” --- The Predator Elder had never seen such a prey like this before. It was clear to him that this one was an automaton or something similar. He had heard many tales of such prey but never encountered one such as this and-- he noticed that the cyborg was staring at him. It was able to see past through his cloaking! There was no point in being unseen when the veil has been lifted. Dachande immediately reached over to his left wrist CPU gauntlet and pressed onto a button, de-activating his invisibility fielding. Streams of electricity surged across the Yautja’s armored and muscular form harmlessly. This opponent was not going to be an easy prey, that much was a certainty. His opponent was armored as well, made of a tough metal and durable plastic of sorts. The warrior had also seen what he was capable of, seeing as how the cyborg dispatched the Pyode Amedha with relative ease with flames. Dachande jerked both his hands firmly into fists, and a metallic sheathing sound filled the street as a pair of eighteen inch, plasma grade Dlex metal wristblades popped out from both his gauntlets. Dachande reached behind himself with a hand, and took his combi-staff, retracting the weapon out. Both the Yautja and the Cyborg stared each other down, sizing each other up. The machine opened it’s chest up, revealing a hidden compartment within it’s body and fired a projectile. Dachande immediately side-stepped out of the way as he lunged forward, combi-staff in hand. The machine charged forward. It was going to be a battle between Warrior and Machine…

The next continuation in my Broken Tusk Predator storyline. Originally, the opponent was meant to be Cyrax since I had that particular character in mind for Dachande to fight, but someone beat me in putting him in a match, so instead I had to go with Sektor. It was both easy to generate in concept but hard to apply in writing it. So this took me a bit to put it down here.

That setup blew me away Rakai! *Applause*

Anyways, Dachande is gonna have his hands full with this one. Even more so than Goro, most likely. Hrm... Dachande, by a nose.

Thanks for commenting Corvette!

Rakai, if you will send me more Dachande vs. MK fights, tell me to put my drink down. :P As long as Scorpion doesn't get involved. I can see Dachande winning this one.

Another great set-up, Rakai, and very nice recap with the Goro fight.

As for this match, as I haven't played MK9 yet, I had to go YouTube Sektor, and I have to say this is probably going to be a pretty tough one for Broken Tusk.

Dachande might be stronger, but Sektor can teleport, has those flamethrowers and homing missles, and has armor whose durability arguably rivals BT's. Unless Tusk can land a shot from his Plasma Caster, he's going to have a rough time with this one.

Thanks! I took your suggestion on not having the recap reflect the votes.

While all of that is true, one must remember that the flamethrowers are Sektor's least effective weapon to use against Broken Tusk, or any other Yautja. I'm going to explain why this is so. For one, Predators are heat resistant. In the film Alien vs Predator, Charles Bishop Weyland made a makeshift flamethrower by making use of his inhaler and a fusee flare. Fusee Flares can burn up to 1000 degrees, and Scar took it full blast and was unharmed. This would more than likely apply to any Yautja, as they had to adapt to intense heat temperatures on homeworld and develop this heat resistance.

The flamethrowers, also leave Sektor somewhat vulnerable if we do take into account a Yautja's heat resistance.

That set-up was brilliant. I really don't know about this one. Like DSkillz said, it's gonna be tough.

Thanks Rob!

Hearing this I'll take danchande. As soon as sektor activates his flamethrowers he won't see the blade coming for his throat.

Terrific setup! Loved the Goro battle, well done. I'm really enjoying this mortal kombat portion, keep it up.

Sektor is an interest matchup stylistically. Being able to teleport will make it extremely difficult to hit him, if not impossible. However, that's if Sektor wasn't trying to kill Broken Tusk too. Sektor will not run and, therefore, can and will be hit. If he tries to fight Tusk in melee, he will be out muscled and tusks weapons will give him the edge. If he tries to use his rockets, he will be open for a plasma caster round or a shuriken through the middle, while tusk dodges the slow missiles with relative ease. Mix in teleporting though and tusk is going to be in a fight. The main difference here is, sektor's strikes will hurt, Broken Tusk's will kill. Should be a good fight.

If Sektor uses the flame thrower even once though, he's dead. Nothing like an ineffective weapon with slow recovery time.

It also explained why Scorpion wasn't in the events of Mortal Kombat 3, it was explained that he was pretty much left out of the action as he was still in the service of Quan Chi, and was pretty much left alone in the Netherrealm as he and the sorcerer watched as Outworld and Earthrealm were at each other's throats.

Sektor is faster but that is the only thing he has going for him.

Dachande is stronger, has much better gear, has many many decades more experience.

Sektor could give him some pain with his weapons he has at his disposal, however, there is noway that Sektor's armor will even make it through just one hit from the claws, combi-stick, or plasma caster.

Sektor is a trained fighter with maybe 20 -25 years of experience, Dachande is a trained killer and tactician with probably well over 300 years of experience.

I would love to do Cyrax sometime, infact Cyrax was supposed to be the intended opponent for this fight but Captain Chief Tupou had beaten me to the punch in getting him, so I had to make do with Sektor.

Another consideration is Cyber Sub-Zero.

Yautja dislike cold, no? That's what Sub-Zero happens to use!

That much is true, but they can develop something of a tolerance to it.

Predators have been shown to hunt in the Antarctic, as seen in Alien vs Predator, and in Predator: Cold War though this is in terms of environmental climate and temperature.

I'd hold off on cyber sub zero for now. Work up to the tougher opponents, cyber sub will be extremely difficult. One of the girls maybe? Jade was my fave. And do Nightwolf or kintaro interest you?

I am personally hoping to avoid having Dachande fight the heroes, because after Dachande's experience while hunting on Ryushi (which happened in the events of Alien vs Predator Prey, and it's What If remake in the beginning of this arc) , he has learned that humans have an amazing iron will which allows them to fight their battles and overcome impossible odds. So in a sense, Dachande is in his own right a hero, or rather an anti-hero. So for now, I am focusing on having Dachande having fight the villains of Mortal Kombat because chances are likely he might be unwittingly aiding Earthrealm.

I have considered either Mileena or Skarlet. Kintaro is definitely on my mind, but he doesn't have a good starting off record and I'd like to put Kintaro in a stand-alone CBUB debut fight. Kano is also on my mind, so is Motaro, most especially Motaro.
