Chester Cheetah is a fun-loving, cool, and charismatic character who could appeal to a younger demographic and make Umbrella Corporation seem more friendly and hip. He is also associated with the slogan “Dangerously cheesy!”, which could imply that Umbrella Corporation is daring and innovative. However, Chester Cheetah might also have some drawbacks, such as being too cheesy or corny for some audiences, or being seen as a copycat of other animal mascots like Tony the Tiger or the Energizer Bunny. Additionally, Chester Cheetah has a history of sneaking up on people and stealing their Cheetos, which could reflect poorly on Umbrella Corporation’s ethics and trustworthiness.

The Kool-Aid Man is a more iconic and recognizable character who has been around since the 1950s. He is known for his audacious entrances and catchphrase “Oh, yeah!”, which could convey a sense of excitement and enthusiasm for Umbrella Corporation’s products and services. He is also associated with the slogan “The Original Flavor”, which could suggest that Umbrella Corporation is a leader and pioneer in its industry. However, the Kool-Aid Man might also have some disadvantages, such as being too loud or obnoxious for some customers, or being reminiscent of the Jonestown massacre, where cult members drank poisoned Kool-Aid and committed mass suicide. Furthermore, the Kool-Aid Man has a habit of breaking through walls and causing property damage, which could imply that Umbrella Corporation is reckless and irresponsible.

I think it's a fair statement to say that Chester Cheetah is the mascot that would be less of a PR nightmare, if the Umbrella Corporation had to you know, buy one of those mascots for itself and rebrand it.

Umbrella is on the hook for making scary mutants, including scary mutant animals. Adopting anthropomorphic predator animal that claims to be dangerous or represent danger. As a mascot, is not a good look for them.

Added to which, as mentioned above their is better brand crossover between Kool-Aid, who has actually already dipped it's toes into the supplement market, and a largely pharmaceutical company, like Umbrella. Than between Cheetos and medicine.

On top of that Kool-Aid Man's color scheme already matches Umbrella Corps.

Wow, neither would be great at this.

The red in Kool-Aid Man's pitcher head, though, may remind some folks of the blood shed at Umbrella Corp. in the past. So I'm kinda leaning towards the Cheetah.

Umbrella already has red in it's logo and Chester is also gonna remind people of the mutant animals that tore through the city.
