THE TRUE CHOSEN ONE: A 2ND FIGHTING GAME CROSSOVER PART 7

(Mortal Kombat/Killer Instinct/BlazBlue/Darkstalkers/Guilty Gear/Bloody Roar/Red Earth/Eternal Champions/
Mace: The Dark Age)

A White flash of light knocked both Noel Vermillion and Tsubaki Yayoi off their feet. It was a blinding light, and when both of the young women reopened their eyes, nothing around them was familiar.

TSUBAKI: What happened? Where are we?

NOEL: I don’t know.

TSUBAKI: Did we just get hit by phenomena intervention? Did you do this?

NOEL: I don’t know. I don’t think so.

TSUBAKI: No, it’s definitely different from phenomena intervention. This doesn’t look like our world at all.

NOEL: I know this city looks so….flat.

TSUBAKI: We are definitely not in the hierarchical cities on the mountains.

NOEL: Let’s look around and investigate, maybe some clues will present themselves.

TSUBAKI: Yeah, and maybe we will run into one of our friends. If we were transported then it is very possible they are here too. It could be like the Embryo. Perhaps we will run into Makoto or Jin.

This possibility gave Noel more hope and made her smile.

The two former N.O.L. academy classmates walked through the city with purpose, but did not recognize anything they came across. A few hours passed by and the hope was beginning to dwindle.

TSUBAKI: We are definitely lost and I don't know how we are going to get out of here.

A helicopter descended from the sky above the street that Noel and Tsubake were on. A rope was lowered from the helicopter and a blonde ponytailed woman slid down it backwards and pointed a gun at Noel and Tsubaki..

CASSIE CAGE: Sup!

Cassie Cage flipped off the rope and aimed two guns at the confused soldiers.

CASSIE: You don’t look like Outworlders, but you definitely aren’t from Earthrealm. The Special Forces Energy Signature Detector is never wrong. What realm are you trying to invade from?

TSUBAKI: We are not invading from any realm.

NOEL: I believe there has been a terrible mistake. We were teleported here against our will. We are just trying to find a way back home.

Cassie popped a bubble with her bubble gum.

CASSIE: A likely story. Best to check with Raiden, he probably knows who you are.

NOEL: Who is Raiden?

CASSIE: God of Thunder, protector of the Earthrealm. If you really stumbled here by mistake, he can get you home.

NOEL: That would be wonderful.

Cassie Cage’s cell phone rang and she picked up.

CASSIE: This is Commander Cage…oh hey Uncle J, what’s going on?....Wait, Fujin, is over there with who?...

Cassie eyed Noel and Tsubaki carefully as she spoke.

CASSIE: No, that isn’t hard to believe, I think I just may have come across something similar. We need to rendezvous and compare notes.

Cassie then hung up with Jax and returned her full attention to Noel and Tsubaki.

CASSIE: You two need to come with me.

TSUBAKI: Come with you? We don’t even know you. You are asking for a lot of trust on blind faith.

CASSIE: I know, but it appears that you two may have been swept up in a much bigger issue affecting the entire world. You may not trust me completely, but if you want answers and eventually a way home you don’t have much of a choice.

In a show of good faith, Cassie lowered her guns and holstered them to her sides.

NOEL: I think we should go with her. I want to meet this Raiden, he may be our ticket back to our world.

TSUBAKI: Ok. Agreed.

Meanwhile, an off coast laboratory was hard at work looking into interdimensional travel. The laboratory was once connected to the Zoanthrope Liberation Front, but distanced themselves from the organization once its lead scientist, Busuzima, revealed himself to be a selfish, amoral mad scientist and they never forgave him or the organization as a whole for their treatment of Steven Goldberg, now known as Stun the Insect. Their recent foray into crossing over dimensions was born thanks to a recent discovery they made of a kind hearted monster of a man named Victor Von Gerdenheim. Victor was very reminiscent of Frankenstein’s monster and it was clear in conversations with him that he was not of this world. Victor desperately wanted to get back to his “sister”, Emily. The scientists agreed to help him find a way back and in exchange Victor protected the lab. The laboratory’s one time connection to the ZLF meant it had enemies from both sides, the Zoanthrope resistance and the remnants of the ZLF itself. This new found partnership with Victor put the scientists at ease, they could focus on their work without having to be afraid of a possible attack.

That was until the attack came from an unexpected place. Sector Seven’s top scientist and the progeny of two of the legendary Six Heroes, Kokonoe, and her right hand man, the Red Devil, Iron Tager, had found themselves in a strange new world. Kokonoe had theorized they had been somehow transported by the Boundary (or maybe even her mother), but did not know or recognize where they had ended up. Kokonoe was determined to figure out this new world and how to leave it, but to do that she needed a lab, a base of operations. Kokonoe and Iron Tager happened upon the same lab that was housing Victor Von Gerdenheim. Kokonoe liked that it was in a secluded area and made a snap judgment to take the place as her own. They walked in and Kokonoe assessed the equipment.

KOKONOE: This will do, for now.

IRON TAGER: What about the people already working here. It is clear this laboratory is currently in operation.

KOKONOE: They will simply have to put their research on hold. We know nothing of this world or how long we can last in it. Our need is urgent and thus takes priority.

SCIENTIST: Hey, who are you? How did you get in here?

Kokonoe turned to face the flabbergasted scientist and nonchalantly removed the candy lollipop from her mouth.

IRON TAGER: My name is Tager and this is Professor Kokonoe.

KOKONOE: We are here to commandeer your laboratory until we can find a way home.

SCIENTIST: Commandeer? Wait a minute, are you with Busuzima? You are a zoanthrope, right?

KOKONOE: None of the words you just said have any meaning to me.

SCIENTIST: You don’t know what a zoanthrope is? How is that possible?

KOKONOE: It is easily possible. That term may mean something in this world, but it doesn’t exist in mine, and I have serious doubts that it accurately describes me in any significant way.

The scientist then had an epiphany that these two intruders were much like Victor, visitors from another dimension.

SCIENTIST: Hey if you are looking for a way home, we can help you. But you can’t just take over our lab.

Kokonoe looked over their theories and research written out on a large white board.

KOKONOE: Your understanding of interdimensional travel is remedial at best. If you and your colleagues were left in charge, we would all die of old age before you made a breakthrough. And I have a very long lifespan. You can either do as I say or leave the premises.

SCIENTIST: That’s it! I was trying to be polite, but I will not stand for these insults. You are leaving me no choice. Victor!!

Victor Von Gerdenheim ducked down to walkthrough the doorway and entered the room.

VICTOR: What’s going on in here?

SCIENTIST: We have some very rude visitors who need to be escorted out.

VICTOR: You heard the doctor, it’s time to leave!

Kokonoe took a chomp out of her lollipop and looked over Victor up and down, appraising the craftsmanship that had brought him to life. She compared it in her mind to her own work that she had done when saving Iron Tager’s life.

KOKONOE: I can see the vision, although this is clearly very sloppy work. Enough can’t be said about the effectiveness of using demon genes when successfully bringing back something from the dead.

VICTOR: Are you talking about me?

KOKONOE: Heh, it’s good to know you are at least smarter than you look.

Electricity charged through Victor’s body and he lunged at Kokonoe, but he was stopped when Iron Tager stood in his way.

IRON TAGER: I cannot permit you to hurt the professor.

VICTOR: You are a big boy, but not even you are strong enough to withstand my power.

No response to this one yet? Hmm... Well, that's something that's going to have to be rectified.

As to who wins... Well, I think I'm going to go with Victor here.

In most media depictions of Victor, he has shown to be powerful enough to go up against B+ Class Darkstalkers, which are a class of Darkstalkers which is powerful enough to destroy an army. And in the Night Warriors OVA, he was briefly shown to tangle with Pyron (who was toying with him mind you but... still impressive considering how long he held out for) before Pyron took him out.

I would say Victor takes this... Mid-difficulty.
