I guess I won't give up so easily. Ash is a good contender, but he's got a big mouth and a propensity to get himself into supernatural trouble. There are many things in Sunnydale which are too much even for the Supernaturally strong Slayers, let alone Ash. He has a very good chance of getting himself into more trouble then he can handle

Honestly Ash has a pretty good chance of coming out of this fine.

In terms of fighting. Between his weapons and toughness he does a pretty good job punching above his weight class. 

So he should be able to handle vampires or low level demons in small groups. 

Sure if he bumbles his way into a full blown vampire nest or demon sanctuary he might be out of his depth, but he he is just as likely to end up spending a night at the Bronze getting wasted with high schoolers, then pass out in a corner somewhere. 

Knowing him even if the town falls down around him, he may well just sleep through it.

I think Ash has got this. Between the original trilogy, the tv series, and the Wildstorm comic where he battled Freddy Kruger and Jason Voorhees, I think he’s got the skills, experience and all around badassness to survive Sunnydale.
