I think Stormtroopers will have a slight advantage due to being used to wearing full armor.

How strong are stormtroopers? Mafia guys would have some huge goons that might be good in close-quarters melee fights.

I assumed they would be equipped with armor for the reenactment, no? 

In any case, correct me if I'm wrong but I assume the Stormtroopers would be far more disciplined and well-trained. If they know to form up and make a shield wall, they should have a massive advantage here

Yes, that's why I think they would have an advantage they're used to wearing some form of armor as opposed to mobsters. Also yes, forming military formations would be of great advantage.

Fighting dirty won't win them the reenactment unless they have actual guns, in which case Stormtroopers have even better guns. As it stands, Stormtroopers are soldiers that are actually trained while Mafia people are just handed guns and told to shoot.
