Anakin is naturally talented. He was in the top of his class in the jedi temple very early on. If this is a contest, he's not going to want to lose.

All I can imagine with Anakin is him rolling up a snowball and complaining the whole time.

Anakin's snowman is practically guaranteed to have something annoying about it.

Hiro is arguably the most intelligent kid of his generation on DC Earth, having built mechs and other devices that have given heroes and villains alike trouble. Given his penchant for making toy- and kaiju-themed inventions, I'm pretty sure Hiro also has a sunnier disposition than a young Anakin. It also doesn't hurt that his secret base is within the snowy-topped Mt. Fuji, so he likely has experience with snow.

Oooh boy this is a toughie I think we can both agree they'd be overengineered. 

Now I'm leaning Hiro as Anakin probably has never seen snow or how to build a snowman, naturally talented and the force is great. But sometimes you still need to learn how to do things you don't know how to do.
