Match 21365 Ladybug vs. Ladybug (Bullet Train)
DSkillz replied to Venom 2009's topic in CBUB Rated Matches
Pretty good chapter to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint arc, Venom, if a little short. Always good to see some 4th-wall breaking in storylines like this. As for the match, from what I've seen of these heroes with Miraculous powers, their abilities are typically superhuman. Therefore, I'm thinking Marinette should be able to handle this Ladybug, uh, dude easily enough. BTW, this is reminding me that I should probably watch more Brad Pitt movies. -
Match 21363 Inferno (Soul Calibur) vs. Blaze
DSkillz replied to JohnnyChany's topic in CBUB Rated Matches
Good set-up, Johnny, and as usual, good blending of fighting game universes. As for the match, unless someone more knowledgeable than me on the Soulcalibur 'verse (which would be plenty of folks, lol) can show otherwise, it feels like Blaze might be the more powerful entity here. -
Match 21354 Gozer the Gozerian vs. Vigo the Carpathian
DSkillz replied to Boratz's topic in CBUB Rated Matches
Eh? Heh, I always assumed that double-rating on matches wasn't possible, though I've never tried it myself. A glitch in the matrix, @IKA? -
Match 21354 Gozer the Gozerian vs. Vigo the Carpathian
DSkillz replied to Boratz's topic in CBUB Rated Matches
Ahh, got to this one on time ... Another great setup, Boratz, and great CBUB Match debut for Vigo. Great way of incorporating both of their pre-Ghostbusters stories together. I remember adding both Gozer and Vigo back in the day. and I also pretty recently added Rowan from the 2016 movie. As for the match, the key to defeating both entities was to essentially seal them back into their respective points-of-entry to the world. I have a feeling that Vigo might have a harder time closing the gates to Gozer's dimension than Gozer would getting Vigo back into his painting. It might be close, though, since Gozer has plenty of worshippers around and Vigo has plenty of despair from the Great Depression to feed off of. -
Wow, I'm sorry this is happening to you and your family right now, Rakai. I wish I could help out, but I'm kinda in-between jobs right now. I'll see what I can do in a few weeks. Looks like some people have already helped out, though.

Once again, it's been awhile. New characters added: Rex Splode Invincible's darkhorse superhero is now in the Database. Wonder why he wasn't added 'til now. Lucy MacLean The resident action survivor/borderline action girl from the show Fallout is also in. Frankly, I'm waiting for her to finally start cussing someone out. 😄 BTW, Fallout is almost easily the best thing based on a video game I've seen yet. Though to be fair, most of my experience of video game-based media is limited to the Tomb Raider movies and '90's stuff, so that's not too high a bar to clear, lol. New images added: Jem and the Holograms The Misfits Kid Omni-Man Battle-Beast Rex Splode Conquest Just a few alt images, including some alt battle pics for the animated versions of some Invincible characters.

Rumble 21351 NM-E vs. Muse (Marvel Comics) vs. Harvey Specter
DSkillz replied to leroypowell3's topic in CBUB Unrated Rumbles
Wait, wouldn't Specter and Muse both win by this criteria if Muse is acquitted? -
Decent Unforeseen Simulation Joint match, @Venom 2009, but still kinda short. I chuckled at the Nappa/Vegeta exchange and the Trix Rabbit himself chiming at the end, though. Gotta start watching DBZ Abridged one day. As for the match, unless Tia (Tier? Not sure on her actual name. The wikis and such aren't exactly clear on the matter) can quickly close the gap, Storm's elemental powers may be too much for her.

Good set-up, Culwych, but a little on the short side. Not sure how humanity would survive on Earth for millennia without the sun (and indirectly, the vampires that would feed on them), but it's another good dystopian story overall. As for the match, yeah, I'd have to agree that xenomorphs appear to have the edge with this one. Vampire would've had to have develop the tech needed to beat them, but given that vampires have lived unchallenged on Earth for millennia per the story, they would've have had the motivation to do so.

Pretty good chapter to your Megastory, @leroypowell3, and damn good matchup, if a little short. The original, G1 version of Wheeljack, much like Tarantulas, is kind of a mad scientist and a fighter. I'm guessing, like the rest of the arc, they're both made out to be the same size for this match, so the question is whether Tarantulas is in his original Beast Wars form or a Transmetal. In his OG form, Tarantulas may be a little outgunned, but as a Transmetal, his fight with Wheeljack becomes pretty interesting.

A good matchup of snake-themed animated villains, Johnny. It's been a long time since I've watched episodes of Conan, so I think I'll have to do some extra research on Wrath-Amon before I vote.

I've read through the thread but I'm just now responding. 😅 Hmmm, ... looks interesting, especially with using brand new profiles. I'm in. Here's to hoping a lot of the old standbys participate (including @Magnamax; he and I are only members to be in every draft), as well as some new blood.

I think you guys thought about this wrong. Nappa never showed anywhere near the speed or striking power of Conquest, but Nappa's ki blasts were a good deal more devastating than any of Conquest's attacks. If Nappa could land a blast on Conquest, he'd win. If Conquest closed the gap before Nappa could power up, however, his superior speed and striking power would likely make short work of the saiyan.

Match 21339 Tommy Oliver vs. White Tigerzord
DSkillz replied to Venom 2009's topic in CBUB Rated Matches
Another good chapter to your I Am Lord Zedd arc, Venom. Lol at the shot you (Zedd) took at Kimberly. As for the match, I actually think the Tigerzord has the edge here. Yeah, Tommy's quicker, but he's also unarmed, so the White Tigerzord has both the durability and weapons edge. Besides that (and I can't believe I didn't think of this during the last match), given that the White Ranger's full power is under Zordon and Alpha-1's control, they just might be able to wrest it from Tommy, leaving the other Rangers to much more ably subdue him. -
Match 21335 Rumi Usagiyama vs. Tia Halibel
DSkillz replied to Venom 2009's topic in CBUB Rated Matches
Pretty good return to your Unforeseen Simulation Joint arc, Venom, if pretty short. Ironic that both of Korra's opponents in this arc would start going at it. As for the match, after looking both of these anime ladies up, it looks like Tier may have the edge in overall durability and range and diversity of her attacks. Rumi's weaker body outside of her legs may not be able to hold up. -
Another very good chapter to your arc, Boratz. Everyone seems to be in-character, including how ruthless Zartan can be. Lori would've finished off Juno, though, voters. Anyways, as for the match, yeah, Zartan's good, but Daredevil's one of the better fighters from Marvel. I think Matt would take the spy down after a bit of a struggle.

Good, funny tourney entry, ThePhenomenalOne. I really hope more people comment on and grade this match. As I mentioned in another Deadpool match, my main experience with Wade is from a comic issue and a couple of fanfics, and it looks like he's right in-character here, fourth-wall breaking and all. Not real familiar with the Guardians (Man, I gotta start dipping more into the MCU 😅), but from what I've seen from the films' trailers, they seem like an entertaining group. My main issue with the match was that the tense of the story switched up in spots. As for the match, from what I've looked up on Gamora, she may not have a particularly hard time with Deadpool, even despite his teleporting. I think she teaches Wade a lesson, but he won't shut up regardless, and the party will go on.

Pretty good addition to your Megastory, leroy (if a little short), and good CBUB Match debut for both Lu Yan and Zhao. Since I haven't seen the Peter Jackson LotR movies and it's been a long time since I've watched the Rankin/Bass LotR film, I actually had to look up some of what the One Ring does to its wearers. Given that, it just might make the already-cocky Zhao even more careless than usual. Zhao has already shown to have trouble against nimble fighters, and since Lu Yan is pretty damn quick in his own right, that and the increased recklessness that Zhao would very likely have would probably give Lu Yan the win here.

Another very good tourney entry, Culwych! The only, minor issue that I'd have is that almost the bulk of the match is focused on setting up the other matchups. I think I've read a match with this Yujiro dude before. Looking up what he's capable of, Yujiro almost seems beyond Shang-Chi's abilities. My first thought is to say that Hanma takes this.

Match 21319 Mighty Morphin Power Rangers vs. Tommy Oliver
DSkillz replied to Venom 2009's topic in CBUB Rated Matches
Yep, with the seeds you (Zedd) planted earlier on, it was only a matter of time before Tommy made his heel turn. Good chapter for you I Am Lord Zedd arc. As for the match? Yeah, I think the rest of the Rangers have the slight edge here. While Tommy's stronger than before as the White Ranger, the other five Rangers can team up against him and conceivably distract him/wear him down enough for Jason to deliver the knockout blow with the Sword of Power. It definitely might be a close call, though. Wow, I don't even remember this episode with the Sword of Power. 😅 -
Wait, there's more than one prominent one-armed, buxom, and crude swordswoman out there? I just recently learned about Baiken a few years ago. 😅 Good set-up, Johnny. From the little bit I know about Baiken and what I've just looked up on Kukaku, it looks like you have both ladies in-character here. As for the match? I think I'll need to look up both their capabilities a little more.
