Saw the Batinthesun video featuring these two, and I think I disagree with the outcome but I'm honestly not familiar enough with the two to make any informed comments about them. Wanted to see what y'all thought. Who is the favored here?

I've always been more of a Black Canary fan. She's just as skilled as Natasha though so it's a tough match to call. It depends on the setup, weapons and who attacks who first.

I assumed the conceit of the fight is that they're actually fighting though. Otherwise, it's not really fair to Black Canary. The question becomes "Can Black Widow snipe someone?" As in the video, I assume it would be a hand-to-hand altercation

Well, in that case...if what SSJ states is true about them being equal in hand to hand, I honestly think Canary's screech would give her an advantage.

Black Widow was supposed to come out on my birthday, but it didn't because of Pandemic and now, it is likely the only way I'll be able to watch it is if I spend $30 to Rent it on Disney+. All that being said, Black Widow is my girl and I have infinite faith in her to get the job done. Black Canary is a good opponent for her. And, if Natasha was jus some thug with a gun, Canary would be victorious. But Black Widow is not jus some chick with a gun. She'd have to play the long game to win. Use her environment to sneak up on Canary and dodge the sonic screams. She could do it, but she'd have to be patient. Which she is.

Honestly, if we're talking the current comics, I think Canary might have the edge in close combat.

There seems to be a fair amount of writer wank with Canary since Flashpoint. She was always considered a great fighter, but since then she's considered among the very best in the world at H2H (so good, Lady Shiva is grooming her as her replacement as the world's top assassin). Also, since training with Wonder Woman, Dinah can now apparently react in nanoseconds (not sure how that works, but ... ).

So, while Natalia may be slightly physically superior (except for that reacting in nanoseconds bit), Dinah might have almost every other edge in H2H and has her Canary Cry.

Wait, reacting in nanoseconds? That's, like, stupidly fast. How is she not superhuman?

I mean, technically I react in nanoseconds too, but just, like, a lot of 'em. In that case, this is kind of a mismatch if she really is that fast. That's like well above bullet timing.

Yep. Dinah apparently told Wondy she could do as much when they sparred in the comics.
