Martyr nodded to show she heard, before remembering she had to show respect, "Yes captain." She had focused on weapons during her schooling, but tractor beams had always been useful tactically. She knew how to use them and proceeded to try to trap them with the tractor beam.

Matlock

Vincent thought quickly, assessing the situation as it unfolded in front of him, millisecond by millisecond. One thing was clear: Larkin needed help. The Lieutenant moved forward as quickly as possible, stepping over the two grappling bodies of the Sh'ra and the Daedalian. Matlock lashed out, striking downward with in a powerful blow with the plasma rifle's buttstock, putting the entirety of his formidable frame behind the strike. After the blow connected, he would attempt to dislodge the reptile from Larkin with a swift kick to the ribs. He was counting on the rest of the boarding party to keep him covered.

Redfield

Jason may not have been the same spry, young jarhead he was twenty years ago, but he was still fast. His reflexes were as honed as ever, or nearly so. The operative went to a knee, twisting sideways in an attempt to dodge the javelin as he took aim at the nearest Sh'ra, firing a burst at him in an attempt to catch the reptile before it reached concealment.

Solus would hop forward and attempt to grab LArkin's shraa by the back of the neck and snap it. Speaking to Vincent as he did so. "Cover! You got the right gun!" He would use the Shraa body  if his snap succeeded and hold it in front of them. His great size and strength being able to pick it up easily and use it as a shield against the attacking fire.

Bridge: Marty managed to lcok onto the ship the tractor beam would hold it in place, if the frigate would attempt to flee it would be futile and only drain their power the only chance they had was to shoot out the tractor beam and they didn't have much of a chance with that. "Well done." Jansen commented. "Let's keep them at a safe distance, if that thing should blow I don't want us getting damaged."

The Pantheurian comms sent a message to the boarding parties though she knew it would probably be ignored in the heat of battle. "Be advised, we have the Sh'ra ship in tow."

1st Boarding Party: The Sh'ra was encumbered by Larkin's moved but not exactly subdued it kept inching forward jaws open droll lathering off it's mouth and splashing near Larkin. The Jaws would snap an inch from the Daedalian's muzzle and then open again to take another bite. That's when Vincent would strike with his buttstroke, the Sh'ra may have been tough but it couldn't defy physics it went tumbling away from Larkin and then received a kick to the ribs.

Solus would follow up with his kneck snap and lift. A few blaster shots would burn through the corpse it was clear his shield wouldn't last very long but it would be long enough for the rest of the boarding party to regain their momentum. Satheera moved forward firing followed by others.

2nd Boarding Party: Redfield's maneuver worked, the blade went through the wall and stuck there. The burst dropped the Sh'ra sending it to the ground writhing. The Sh'ra captain had made his way to the engine holding the detonator and one of Redfield's men in the other arm the claws digging into the exposed skin. "Go ahead ssshoot!" The Sh'ra dared Redfield and the others. "Drop him sir! I know what I signed up for!" The marine in his clutches yelled.

Anders had a feeling that the ship was just going to blow. He decided that the time turned from the marines having a cunning plan to a desperate mission to hold the line. Anders thought it was best to hold the line. He goes to hold the line with fellow marines.

*Alice- 'Good work Officer." she directs at Martyr. She turns to the communications officer next. "Alright, futile as it might be, see if you can flag down the other ships' bridge. Maybe sensible is in this commander's dictionary" she says, knowing the odds; but she didn't like feeling helpless either.

"If we can make this go smoother, let's do it."

*Destiny- Destiny congratulates her second favorite officer in the vicinity, almost bringing up the victory kiss up early. When Alice made the order, Destiny wasn't sure what the hag was up to; she of all people knew how sh'ra acted. Nevertheless, she got back to shouting around to see if she could encourage her favorite new Officer into getting things done.

*Larkin- The young marine was more than happy to be saved, pride wasn't as big of a deal at the moment. he wipes hi fur of some loose slobber than had dripped onto him from his would-be attacker as he draws his sidearm. he wasn't the best or worst with a handgun, but he didn't have time to complain; t least until he grabbed his long gun. He swivels in place and tries to get himself into cover without standing up. If need be he'd fire a few shots to keep sh'ra heads down.

"Thanks ya musclebound giants." Larkin snarks towards his two MA's, keeping an eye out on sh'ra who were a bit too overconfident.

*Maharil was apprehensive, but she was able to push it aside to help the poor guy. She checks on the head, remembering the medical books she once read. "Hmm, ok, it looks kinda ok, but we definitly need to take you the sickbay." She then looks over to the boot, "now let's see what kind of damage we got here." She says as she slowly pulls off the boot to see the extent of the damage.

*"Copy that." Hell-Cat replies back. "You heard that team? We just gotta leave it to the grunts, but, we got to make sure there won't be any more surprises. So, if your bored, widen the perimeter."

Matlock

Vincent chuckled. "Don't mention it," he muttered. Then, blaster rifle at the ready, he forged ahead before ducking behind a nearby bulkhead and attempting to survey the situation.

Redfield

Jason's heart pounded, adrenaline coursing through his veins as gears in his head turned. Millisecond by millisecond, he hashed out various scenarios that could result from the situation. Assessed plans of action by the risk involved. From the outside, the choice seemed simple. The Sh'ra was holding a detonator with the ability to destroy the entire ship with them on it. He and everyone under his command would be killed. Their ships could even be damaged if they were close enough. Weighing that outcome against a single Marine's life, the solution seemed simple.

But as Redfield stared into the defiant-yet-frightened eyes of the captive trooper, part of him felt very differently.

The entire train of thought had taken seconds, if that. With that, Jason came to a decision. Unable to get a clear shot at the Sh'ra's central nervous system, he would have to improvise. He leveled the MAWS carefully and slowly, lining up on the reptilian humanoid's forearm, connected to the hand holding the detonator. The shot should have been trivial for a marksman of his caliber, to say nothing of the sheer accuracy and electronic sights of the weapon system he held. But the magnitude of the decision he was about to make made the target all the more obscure, even if it was only in his mind.

Redfield exhaled, slowly.

He pulled the trigger.

Solus only had two shots left in his revolver so he went by insinct. He began running forwards while holding the body in front of him. Firing his last two bullets. Probably not the best plan but it would provide a cover for everyone else and he couldn't hide himself. Once up there he would swing the body like a large bat trying to take down anyone he could. Then attacking and trying to get behind and used his enemies bodies as shields.

Naomi frowned. "We should keep them at a distance to which we can react-- the Sh'ra have kamikaze tendencies they use in a pinch."

Tora's slugthrower belted out bullets at high speed, fire directed at any and all Sh'ra in his field of vision, one after another. He'd duck behind whatever cover he could to reload and draw fire to him-- giving allies the chance to focus on shooting.

Bridge: (Alice, Naomi, Martyr, Destiny) Jansen frowned at Naomi's report. "Noted." The first officer said, "Tactical keep them at a distance with the beam if they start to blow up I want to be able to disengage and out of the blast radias." He said to Martyr.

The communication officer flicked her tail, "I'm not getting any response from the boarding party." he said gravely. "I think they must be meeting some heavy resistance."

1st Boarding Party: (Tora, Solus, Matlock, Larkin, Anders &Co)

Tora's shots downed a few Sh'ra but it was obvious he wa a prized target a lot of the Sh'ra seemed to be gunning for him. Then everything changed. Solu had moved forward taking h'ra by surprise with his unorthodox tactics he managed to bat aside several Sh'ra with the corpse of one of their own, but then something tore the makeshift club from his grasp whether it was a slip of his grip or something else was unknown.

Solus now found himself facing down Sh'ra in hand to hand. This suited the Sh'ra just fine one lunged for him with a shortsword vibroblade a second circled around to his left making to cut him with it's toeclaw. The rest of the Sh'ra all let out high pitched shrieks as they threw themselves forward in a charge, some run straight ahead most getting mowed down by bullets, a lot of them took s surprising amount of wounds before stopping though.

Others chose to leap upon the boarding party with melle weapons and their own nature given weapons. Satheera shot an incoming Sh'ra almost point blank in the face before she drew her dagger like vibroblade a second was swinging a sword at her, the Selurian parried then utilizing surprise wrapped her prehensile tail around the creatures legs and jerked himto the ground. The Sh'ra hit with a thud and she finnished him off with a stab to the creatures chest.

The fight was degenerating into a bloody melle as The Sh'ra closed the gap and flung themselves on the marines and MA's. The boarding party fought them off utilizing the springloaded bayonets in their guns or using them as clubs to bludgeon the Sh'ra with. Others drew their own blades or stun batons.

Matlock would find a Sh'ra in midair about to land on him, it's mouth open to sink into him and claws ready to tear whatever they landed on.

"Oh, shit! Oh Shit! Oh Shit shit sit!" The mouthy marine was huddled on the deck he wasn't so cocky now. Firebrand meanwhile had been mowing Sh'ra down with her squad support weapon but somehow one had come cloe to her and was trying to wrestle the gun away from her. All the creature had to do was get a good shot for her head and it could literally bite it off. Tora would be close to her and the panicking marine, though there were at least three Sh'ra making for him already.

Larkin would find himself face to face with at least two Sh'ra both armed with vibroblades they made for the Daedalian one slashing for his arms holding the gun the other thrusting the blade towards him. Anders meanwhile would find that despite his careful attempt at hanging back the enemy was right on top of him and their were a lot of friendlies ruining some of his shots there was A Sh'ra running right for him.

2nd Boarding Party: (Redfield) Marines had always been known for their deadly accuracy Redfield was no exception. The shot impacted the forearm turning it into a bloody mess the Sh'ras arm spasmed and caused him to drop the explosive device. The captive marine took the second he had and slammed his helmeted head against his captors jaw. The Sh'ra captain went back howling in pain releasing his claws from the marine. The marine went down covering himself and rolling away badly wounded from the claws. But the Sh'ra captain was now a clear target for Refield.

In Space: "Couldn't we just maek a strafing run on that frigate?" Talon asked. "No!" Cutthroat answered for Hellcat. "We've got people in their you want to put them at risk?"

Deardra meanwhile went about scanning for any other hostiles. "Areas clear. Looks like the Starfire has locked a tractor beam on the Sh'ra vessel. "Hey, wait a second. I'm reading some kind of shuttle coming out of the launch bay!" He informed Hellcat. "Not one of ours!"

Maharil: Maharil would find that the crewmans foot was already starting to swell not a good sign, he must have damaged it pretty good. Best thing to do was get him to the sickbay. "Oh, god how bad is it?" The crewman asked trying to see over Maharil.

The enemy attempted a top approach which Anders was very familiar with. He also knew the mechanics of the techniques involved. The Sh'ra was doing it incorrectly. Now what he had to do is to shoot at the running Sh'ra to cripple if no kill. The approach was similar to the rear approach method. After the crippling shots, he planned to finish with a burst shot to the mouth.

However in melee range he would instead use his weaponry in tandem with the Evolved Urban Combat style he was trained in. The martial art was best suited for an urban and low space environment. It will have some use in the contexts. If he had the cell phone zip blade with him, he'd use it.  It was a weapon he usually used for assassinations up close.

Solus put his hands down and catch it by the blade with one hand and the handle by the other. His vibroblade treated gauntlets giving him the option. His raised his ears as he was cut by the toe claw. It hurt but scars were a mark of honor to him. If it worked he would try to use his superior grip on the weapon and his strength to turn it around and stab the Shraa in the heart. If it worked as well he would grab it and throw it at its friend who cut him. And if that worked he would grab it by the legs and start swinging trying to stop as many as he could from getting to his partners.

*Alice/Destiny- "godammit." Destiny scowls at the officer's statement, the sh'ra weren't giving up. That's one thing they were across the board good at; she was hoping the recruits wouldn't find that out the hard way. Not that she wanted to be down there exactly. Alice was likewise not happy with the situation; she'd probably never met a sh'ra that took getting backed into a corner well but this one time...she had hoped otherwise. If for no other reason than to extract information for why they tried the raid.

"Keep communications open, any and all. If there's a stray radio signal of someone reciting the alphabet I want to know about it..." she says, hoping something would give. "

*Larkin- The young marine was really wishing he had a better grip on his shotgun about now. Larkin swivels the pistol towards the closer of the two sh'ra, and if permitted he'd quickly squeeze off as many shots as he could to stop at least one of the sh'ra. He'd empty the mag if he could in the attempt, but if they were already too close, he'd try to roll away instead and gain enough distance to draw his blade.

Vincent reacted purely from instinct as the gaping reptilian maw flew towards him, raising the plasma rifle and swinging at the creature's neck. After it made contact, he would hold the weapon up as a brace/barrier to keep the Sh'ra at bay.

Redfield

Jason wasted no time. As soon as the Sh'ra was vulnerable and the Marine clear of the line of fire, he rushed forward. Redfield lined up the MAWS on the Sh'ra grounded form. He pulled the trigger seven times in rapid succession, dumping rounds into the creature's head, neck, and torso. Redfield was taking no chances.

Bridge: "I got something." The Pantheurian said, her tail twitched agitatedly. "Should I patch it through? It's a bit disturbing."

Jansen was more concerned with keeping the frigate at a safe distance, he hoped Martyr and Naomi knew what they were doing.

1st Boarding Party: Despite Ander's being a crack shot his burst would miss one of  the running Sh'ra which would then leap towards him knocking Anders to the ground and then attempting to bite his head off.

Solus's move was successful he managed to yank the blade from a surprised Sh'ra, who leapt back a Solus thrust the blade at him, it barely managed to avoid the tip of the blade. The second Sh'ra was going for another toe claw attack on Solus it didn't seem to register that the Daedalian had a blade now.

Larkin would be able to gun down a Sh'ra which took at least four bullets before succumbing by then the second was on him luckily Larkin rolled and managed to get his Daedalian blade free, the Sh'ra was already slashing for his legs.

Matlock's rifle made contact hitting the Sh'ra like a bat and sending the alien to the deck where it thrashed around for a bit. A second was running towards the master at arms with a dagger like blade at the ready.

Tora's pounce killed one of the Sh'ra the blade ending it's life instantly the second backed away and tried for a slash at the Pantheurians head.

Satheera meanwhile had come to firebrand's assistance slipping her dagger between the attacking Sh'ra's ribs. "Thanks." Firebradn breathed obviously shaken. "No time for talk." Satheera reminded her.

2nd boarding Party: The Sh'ra spasmed as the explosive bullets tore through him, All the Sh'ra in the engine room were dead, Redfield and his three remaining marines were now alone, they could hear the echoe of battle in the distance though and the Pantheurian communications officer trying to get a status report from them and the other team.

Anders counters with a swift strike to the throat. If that wasn't enough, a swift strike to the ribs. He utilizes the pressure points in order for his enemy to get off. He also makes sure not to get skewered by the claws. The steel assassin knew how to fight well. He grapples with the reptilian in order to get him off. The adrenaline kicks in as he attempts to kick off the Sh'ra  This time, he did not have his cell phone zip blade with him.  Unarmed was with he had to do.  Still, he took advantage of every pressure point possible on the Sh'ra enemy.

*Alice/Destiny- Destiny was confused, what in the hell did the Comm Officer pick up? Alice was likewise curious. she couldn't resist finding out.

"Thank you for the warning Officer, but I'd like to hear it." she says in an even tone, stowing anything that showed eagerness or anticipation.

*Larkin- Larkin takes a jump back to try and avoid the blade attack; rather than fighting him head on he tries to grab some distance and let the beast's onslaught subside. Larkin flourishes his blade threateningly, trying to regain composure and bait the sh'ra into a forward strike he could parry.

'Grr!' Larkin bares his teeth, trying to entice his foe into coming within reach of his blade.

Martyr nodded and continued doing what she was doing, staying out of explosive range. That done she looked around curiously to see what else was happening. She needed a full view on the current situation if she wanted to make any tactical suggestions

Bridge: "Aye, captain." The Pantheurian replied though her tone implied she was less than happy with complying with the order. She flipped a switch and the whole bridge crew would be subjected to the sounds of the boarding party fighting off the Sh'ra who had apparently gone berserk.

There was yelling sounds of weapons and cries of pain from both sides mingled with Sh'ra warcries and the marines and MA's shouting back at them. From the sounds of things the battle had degenerated into a messy brawl and Sh'ra were built for hand to hand combat. "Turn that off!" Jansen yelled, "Bad for morale," The Xyl pilot next to Naomi muttered something. "Too late for that genius."

1st Boarding Party: Tora's block and upward slash was a succes the Sh'ra went down in a bloody mess. The Pantheurian didn't have time to celebrate though the second Sh'ra was attacking again this time slashing downward at the feline's legs.

Ander's was neatly pinned to the deck his strike for the throat was intercepted by the beasts jaws which clamped down and began to shake the assassin's arms like a terirer would a rat, something would snap as the serrated teeth dug in deeper. The kick and bashing managed to dislodge the Sh'ra for a moment and then it was clawing at Ander's face with it's claws.

Just then a vibroblade would suddenly protrude from the beast's chest. It fell to the ground dead, Satheera the Selurian stood over it and Anders blade at the ready. "This is messy work." She said. "I'll take sniping anyday over this."

The Sh'ra Larkin was fighting complied somewhat but instead of going with a thrust it went for a feral chop aiming for Larkin's shoulder the Sh'ra meant to literaly disarm the Daedalian.

Naomi

She looked at him, brow furrowed for a moment before returning to her duties-- plotting a course so that they'd continue to be in their relative, optimal positions as both ships moved through space.

Tora

He'd jump high off the ground in the catlike, spring manner that he was used to, extending a foot hopefully to connect with the Sh'ra's face and send it away from him so he could have time to land and position himself.

"Secure that device!" Jason barked, pointing to the detonator on the floor of the cabin, the Sh'ra's disembodied hand still clutching it.

He then radioed in his team's sitrep to the C&C center back on the Starfire. Once that was taken care of, he looked to the Marine that had been taken hostage. "Are you injured?"

Matlock

Vincent reacted quickly, bringing his plasma rifle to bear on the charging Sh'ra and firing two quick shots at the creature's center of mass while bracing himself for a possible impact.

*Alice/Destiny- The Commander sort of had to live with her decision, the carnage of battle wasn't new to her but she probably could've realized not everyone would want to hear that sooner. Destiny was familiar with bloodshed and even she was wincing at the audio feed.

"Slipped up a bit there. hag." Destiny snarks to herself as she remains at her post. Alice doesn't exactly complain when her subordinate orders for the comm shut-off. Any conversation either of them wanted to have over that would come later.

"Alright, the second we get something other than combat chatter I want to try and get ahold of one of their MA's; we need a status report before anything else happens." Alice sighs, not happy at being unable to do anything.

*Larkin- The young Daedalian probably should've known better about the biting tendancies of a Sh'ra from all the stories he's heard, but Larkin was forced to dodge rather than parry. Running on reflex, he attempts to sidestep and slash the Sh'ra across the back with his sword before his enemy could recover from the charge.
