But that's not breaking up her own engagement, it's someone else's, isn't it? It's been like 2 decades since I saw Mulan 2, but my memory is that she's happily engaged, and it's the other princesses who are struggling. In general, I would say Tiana is far more socially graceful and drive than Mulan is. She's also very independent and self-made. Plus, as someone who wasn't born into royalty, she would never be under any legal obligation to be under a marriage contract against her will, so she wouldn't have any reservations about simply leaving. Mulan's culture and time period would make it much harder for her to escape an arranged marriage
