Does he has reservations about killing innocents? Because my memory of Esdeath is that she really didn't care about that at all. Also, her time-stop ability would be pretty bad for him if she landed it. Not sure about his powers though, so that's all I got for now

This man has a form that looks like this. I think that should be enough to tell you that he doesn't care about innocents at all. But you're completely right about Esdeath, he really has no way to deal with being frozen/frozen in time. It all depends on whether or not he'll get the first drop on her or not, but for sure Esdeath has the bigger chance the win overall.

Would he be durable enough to tank a hit while time is stopped? He seems pretty tanky in that form

Kinda, he tanked a skyscraper being glassed around him while he was in the center of the explosion.

In that same scene he destroyed a satellite in space with his devil beam. That is some serious long range accuracy. That would be his best bet here, if he is smart enough not to rush in.
