Hopefully this time around people are made more aware of the Hellhounds' capabilities. They can track people forever once they get their scent, they are entirely invisible and are only weak to a number of things which are not going to be in immediate reach of any of the targets they come across, unless they already know about Hellhounds before hand. They are the perfect tracking killing machines.

Children do trigger Santa... And being the son of satan or whatever, he's probably familar with hell-hounds. Probably uses them for his sleigh.

I dont know. 

I think Danny would be able to run from Santa to an extent but I dont see him outrunning a hellhound. 

Either way, I don't like Danny's chances

Poor Danny, that kid really has no luck at all!

Agreed Boratz's assessment, I think Danny has a better chance to run or hide from Santa (which seems to enjoy his kills up close and personal). 

The other thing to factor in is whether Danny has anyone around. If so, then Santa is likely to get distracted and start killing anyone who comes up against him (like he does in the movies), whereas nobody would see the hellhounds.
