Essentially what it comes down to is "Do you think Batman can beat Wolverine?" If yes, Azrael is a lot more ruthless and an actual superhuman version of Batman, so if you believe that Batman can beat Wolverine so can Azrael. I don't think either of them will be that inconvenienced by the terrain. At most, it'll be minor.

Without prep, no, Batman cannot beat Wolverine. Azrael's ruthlessness won't get him far with Wolverine anyway because he can match that level and take it even further.

I don't remember much about Azrael's backstory, but isn't he tied to the church somehow? If he's religious then I think he's going to get fucked up mentally by the terrain. Not that Azrael isn't already messed up...

Uh what. If you say Batman Beyond can knock out X-23 with sonics then Batman can definitely knock out Wolverine with the same.

What about a Batman that is far stronger than any member of the Bat-Family?

Point taken, but I don't think you got what I meant by that. It wasn't the fact that compared to Wolverine, he's more ruthless. It's that he's more ruthless compared to Batman, while also being just as skilled as him and stronger. So things that Batman wouldn't do to Wolverine (like going all out against him) would not be a problem to Azrael.

True, but the extent of the church messing with him was only to the point of creating another split personality that.... made him more ruthless, just like I said.

Here's a link to some of his feats. I think it does injustice to the character for me to pick a few out, this will help you make up your mind on the fact. Just from a general view, one can immediately tell that he's a Batman superior physically, give or take a few outliers.

I reread some Lovecraft yesterday (for Halloween and all) and as far as I can tell, R'lyeh never really affects anyone's mind more than mildly wigging people out. It's Cthulhu that brings on the madness. He should be fine

You're right. I couldn't think of a time where R'lyeh had caused any madness. It's always Cthulhu.
