  1. From the album: CBUB Character Submission Images

Yang, the fourth member of Team RWBY, is a blonde-haired girl and Ruby's older half-sister. She wields twin shotgun gauntlets called Ember Celica. After she loses her right arm (and thus the gauntlet) in Volume 3, her replacement bionic arm is installed with a shotgun mechanism at the wrist. In Volume 7, Yang has Pietro add sticky grenades to her arsenal. Her Semblance, "Burn", works on a "recoil-based system": whenever Yang takes a hit, her strength, toughness and striking power rise in proportion to her injuries. Her glowing hair and eye color change are caused by excess energy from the buildup, which also results in Yang often acting "hotheaded" in battle. Yang is an allusion to the fable of Goldilocks. Yang is the "big sister" of the group, caring deeply for her teammates. She is also very optimistic, never giving up in battle or during hard times. Yang has revealed that her birth mother left her family shortly after she was born and hasn't been seen since, which acts as a driving force for her character. Yang wanted to become a Huntress because of the adventure, as she calls herself a thrill-seeker in search of a life where she doesn't know what lies ahead of her.
  2. I was fine with the run he had against Brock but oh man, after the shit that went down with Wyatt I wish he stayed gone.
  3. Same principle applies to Rhea Ripley tapping out to Charlotte at Mania. Why did that need to happen? Ripley is an insanely marketable future star, they've genuinely never had anything like her. This was the main show audience's introduction to her and Flair does not need any more wins to bolster her resume. Charlotte is undeniably super talented but nobody is as impressed by her as WWE want them to be. She's the forced draw vs more organic stars like Becky and Rhea. They mishandled Shayna badly for her debut too, her look and body language work are awesome but she doesn't sound super intense or scary on the mic, they needed to have her be a silent killer ala Brock. Now her heat's rapidly draining after the Elimination Chamber misfire and Becky going over her in a fluky way, she wasn't booked to look impressive in the MITB match at all. Sad as it is to say I don't see her in the genuine monster heel spot she deserves any time soon, especially since Vince seems dead set on giving that spot to Nia Jax even though she's fucking awful. edit: Did anyone check out Lucha Underground while it was airing? That was genuinely the most fun I had watching wrestling in forever. Crazy good matches and a cinematic approach to the character work, I'd almost call it the precursor to the Boneyard Match type stuff they've been doing lately (which I'm all for so long as they don't overuse them).
  4. Yeah the women's division went off. I'm not sure there's ever been a title reign more categorically impressive in modern WWE than Becky's. Wins both the top prizes, holds onto the one on the company's top show for 13 months, beats everyone and vacates to go be a mom. Legend.
  5. I really am rooting for it, but AEW was hyped as the one to finally step up and give WWE a run for their money and it just isn't there yet for me. Generally I don't feel much different watching an episode of Dynamite than if I were watching a higher budget episode of ROH or TNA when it was good. I think the lack of star power is a big thing (not that WWE really seem to know how to build a consistent and credible top layer of talent anymore either); in terms of viable 'top guys' they have, I dunno, Mox, Cody, Omega and Y2J? Brodie Lee and Pac, maybe? I've been sorta out of the loop on my indie wrestling since around 2017 so I'm not super familiar with a lot of the upcoming names, but the rest of the wrestlers and gimmicks just feel like indie acts to me. Some amazing talent, for sure, but they lack... I dunno... mystique. All it takes is the right gimmick matched to the right guy's natural charisma and a properly built push to change that though, so we'll see. I'd like to see them build up some major stars of their own. They should absolutely do everything they can to sign Rusev and push him to the moon, though. I honestly cannot believe Vince didn't see what he missed out on with him. They threw him into that abysmal feud with Lashley where he lost every match to try kill his heat and he was STILL getting insane pops until they just flat out took him off TV. But hey, they're beating NXT pretty much every week ratings wise so we'll see where it goes.
  6. I know based off the exact date that it was Peter Capaldi being announced as the doctor lmao
  7. We were all young and stupid and you basically got mobbed most of the time, so I mean. I have confidence we're all capable of being much more civil now.
  8. I mean you're clearly already in the spirit of things. With the show's most fleshed out and well developed character to boot.
  9. I will call forth a storm of RWBY and anime the likes of which the world has never seen... provided I don't get too lazy. So many of my current interests, like, weren't even a thing when this site went away. Or I at least hadn't consumed them yet. It's crazy.
  10. Ha! And so the prophecy of my member title comes to pass. Thanks for all the work you're doing man, I can't even imagine the hassle involved in digging up a website last operational in 2013 and getting it ready for the modern world.
  11. I love that there's no way of knowing who used what react.
  12. How the *vulgarity* did you just say *vulgarity*?
  13. Still using the word thrice in sentences I see, guy I definitely haven't spoken to in 7+ years
  14. Everything has changed you IDIOT. But yeah, deep down I'm still the same dumbass. Been through college and now living that directionless 20something life. What's new with everyone else?
  15. It's iconic that's what it is. Yeah, might as well preserve my rich history of cringiness here even if the boy who idolized R-rated sci-fi flicks has become a grown man who's nothing more than a weeb.
  16. Then kudos for picking a username with staying power!! I on the other hand, no longer give a rat's ass about Alien, Predator or Terminator, nor who would win any prospective confrontations between the 3.
  17. I'm so much older and less pretentious now...
  18. Walter White is Lex Luthor.
  19. Sometimes, I dream about cheese.
  20. That Beyonder instance wasn't really the result of prep, more on-the-dot thinking. Doom managed to gather some data on the Beyonder's energy source while trying (failing) to pick a fight with him, then used stolen technology from Galactus to sap it. He was powered up externally to the point of nigh-omnipotence, as well, but I can't quite remember what by. All the pieces were laid out for him. He just had to arrange them in the proper order and boom, the Beyonder's power was his. It's an impressive feat of intelligence and cunning, just not really one of preparation skills.
