Considering Reed has canonically built Doom's visit heaven device and it worked instead of blowing up his face (Sometime after FF #500 I don't have the J. Michael Strazinski run on hand). A big win for Mr. Fantastic.

Yeah Doom's whole thing is being just a hair less smart than Reed at science

I mean Doom is probably capable of building most of Reed's stuff it depends on which blueprints he got, hell, having the exact plans may mitigate Doom's slight intelligence disadvantage. I was afraid of this very match up happening.  I got bad pulls this round.  I think I'm pretty much out of the running...

Reed’s a bit better with pure science, but Doom might be able to enhance an invention of Reed’s with some magic…dunno. I’m undecided right now

I'm thinking this scenario's happened in the comics. Kinda wish I had watched/read more FF growing up ... 

But yeah, Doom would definitely make this interesting. As mentioned, he could possibly add some magical flair to Reed's schematics. More often than not, though, Richards gets the better of him.
