Great pull for Quetzalcoatl. The pirates would love the brutality and be perfectly fine with the human sacrifice aspect. In fact, while some groups worshipped him by sacrificing animals, one of the sacrifices mentioned by name on Wikipedia is "Sacrifice by drowning and extraction of the heart." Basically "walking the plank" with extra steps. Really liking Quetzalcoatl in this scenario

Yup, the sacrifices aside, pirates are gonna love a god of the winds and actively pray to him for favourable weather. Their lives depend on it.
