I don't know much about the Invid, but I will say I don't think the Viltrumites are necessarily well-suited for this category. Their numbers are limited, and their ships aren't especially powerful. They're strong physically, but that's their only defining trait here really, and that doesn't make for a great prolonged occupation or war

The Invid took over Earth completely (minus the inevitable little resistance.) Even when Robotech Expeditionary Force came back to liberate Earth they couldn't do it. They were just going to super nuke (reflex weaponry) the planet, their home planet, just to destroy the Invid. I'll save the Regis for more argument.

Jeez, it's been a long time since I read any of the comics, but that is gory. Like that feels more gory than the HBO Spawn series.

Haven’t the Viltrumites conquered half the Galaxy by the start of the main Invincible timeline? Sure their aren’t that many of them anymore but how many do you need when most of them are at Omni-Man’s level?
