I just think it's hilarious that you(and everyone else it seems) seem to get butthurt over someone else having a different opinion.

I don't think being butt hurt has anything to do with it. It's the fact that matches even better than mine are getting poor grades. I don't think it is the fact that they have a different opinion, it is the fact they are doing it out of spite. Or at least it seems spiteful.

 

I myself write for the fun of it, but I am curious as to who gave my past two matches a D.

Let me put it this way. A 'D' average will cause a match to scratch. So, by giving that grade you are basically saying that the match wasn't worth writing.

I believe I gave this one a B, so in this case at least, it wasn't that different.

Well, see, that means from what I've seen, I'm just a little bit more generous with my grading. Not everyone thinks the same thing when reading a match, but when you consistently see someone giving a bad grade, when others are giving positive grades, you can't help but be a little suspicious.

 

Even DSkillz and Treach are looking into the matter, so I don't think we're doing anything wrong by calling the person out, that's responsible.

The so called 'hate judge', commented in the Calvin and Hobbes match, and he gave that one a B. It's not spite, it's just a matter of having higher standards.

No, when I give a D, I'm not saying that they shouldn't have bothered writing the match at all, I'm saying they should have done better.

The one thing that cracks me up on EF is that things have to be either one way or another. Like you have to pick one end of the spectrum, there is no middle ground. It's either someone with high standards or a douche. Why can't it be a douche with high standards? It's not just this issue, it's like every little thing on EF you have to draw a line in the sand and pick a side. I'm the one getting the bad grade and I'm the least worked up

That would be funny for being wildly innaccurate, except for the fact that it is discouraging people from writing matches. That is not what this site needs. It need fair grading. I'm not saying butter people up for slapping some trash together so as not to hurt their feeling.. but very poor grading has been occurring.

Haha, after reading a few of those reviews I know who is dishing out the harsh grades. I'll let you guys figure it out before I say anything.

Considering that we don't know which criteria the person is using to base his ratings on, we can't know.

 

The only thing we can say, is whether or not our own personal criteria match the rating given.

 

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, even if their opinion wildly varies from everybody else, the fact that you don't like this particular opinion, and are apparently trying to stop it, is imo just as bad as anu whining about everybody else not allowing him to have His opinion.

Well, except for a guy's match, those all had just one negative grade. I, myself, don't think it should've been scratched, but it wasn't the greatest set-up either. *Shrugs*

 

He also may have been one of the multis that Treach recently purged, as I haven't seen a match from him since.

Beta Ray Bill vs. Horus: "Plot was't interesting."

 

Nightwing and Green Lantern - Hal Jordan and Starkiller vs. Daken and Nero (Devil May Cry) and Gladiator (Kallark): "The writing style is horrible. The dialog is corny. The setup as a whole is uninteresting."

 

Power Girl vs. Silver Surfer: "The grammar sucks."

 

Batman and Batman Beyond vs. Overtkill and Cy-Gor: "Wasn't interesting."

 

 

With those comments in mind, it seems like he seems that the grades he gave were deserved.

An opinion is one thing. That opinion needs to be grounded in reality though. If this voter is not capable of delivering a flawless and ground-breaking match themself... then they have no business dishing out grades like that!

See, you are still assuming that is his honest answer. Till the cat is out if the bag, you can't say it is his real opinion or not.

 

I'll try to explain this one more time, I don't think anyone is mad at him for having a different opinion, I think people are mad because they are assuming he is doing it out of spite. If it is the case that it is his honest opinion than yes I'd agree people are getting upset over nothing, if he is being spiteful than there feelings are justified. Get it yet?

 

We get that you always have to be right about everything, but no one truly knows what criteria he is using to grade matches, until we do, no one can really say anything.

Hey, since we all want fair voting, all judges should flip a coin for good grade/bad grade. Basically a game of chance. Unbiased. Unprejudiced. Fair.

 

Behold, the only way to have truly fair voting. If you don't feel like doing that, then don't mention the need for fair voting.

Actually, you can read a story, and say it was uninteresting. I just don't believe him/her. Anu's could've been rated by anyone. I imagine he's not a lot of people's favorite, right now.
