Well...the only real reason he was able to leave the first room at all is because he was immune to infection, but he is awesome....

 

And staff sergeants in Halo tend to be very skilled..

 

Johnson, Stacker are two of the more known examples.

 

But on the first Halo, There was a certain Serg. Mobuto, who was able to make it so far into the Library that stretched even John's limits.

Basically, Mobuto made it to the point when John thought he couldn't go on. A Regular human made it to the point where even a Spartan was pushing his limits!

 

And they do have some very good one-liners, comebacks, and quotes
