Guest Square Pickle

(Western Europe, 1316 BC)

Before the days of Beowulf, Grendel and his mother tortured the ancient world and no mortal man could match the raw aggression and power of the monster Grendel. Descendants of Cain himself, their bloodline began with darkness at the start of early man. The black magic used by Grendel's mother made them almost immortal to any ancient man who dared to earn the title of "hero" at Grendel's expense.

Grendel's legend began to grow, as stories about the monster began to spread across Europe. His sightings were also becoming more common, as the Trojan Army began losing men mysteriously in the night. Awoken by a blood hurtling scream, soldiers never seen much past the creatures shadow as he fled the scene. They would sleep light those nights, accepting the theory that "Grendel got 'em". As he made his way through Troy, he would arrive in Delphi, Greece where he claimed the lives of over two-hundred men and killed all the guards securing the city. His mother who remained hidden in the shadows used her magic to keep Grendel almost unstoppable. When he reached Athens, Grendel began to lay waste to the capital of Greece. As the citizens prayed for the help of their gods, Zeus did not answer. Instead it was Achilles and 20 of his best men who would answer the call.

-Achilles: "What in the name of Hades are you?!".

-Grendel: (Gives a massive roar that startles Achilles men).

-Achilles: "Whatever you are beast, you have seen your final day...".

Achilles and his men charged at the monster and began to slash at it with their blades. Grendel swatted the soldiers down like flies, and they continued to charge in the name of Athena. As the last of the men were torn apart, Grendel turned to see Achilles still standing covered in blood still ready to fight. Grendel leaped high in the air and crashed down in front of the hero of Greece. Achilles dove towards him and began to tear at his face with his sword. As Grendel back peddled he lost footing and they fell to the ground. Achilles slashed Grendel's body as Grendel swung his powerful claws at Achilles. Both men showed no signs of quiting. Grendel then grabbed Achilles in his hand and slammed him to the ground with a hard crash. Achilles seen the monsters teeth coming towards him, so he delivered a hard kick to the jaw. As he went to kick again, Grendel's claws slashed across Achilles ankle. Achilles screamed as the blood poured from him and he dropped his weapons. Grendel then lifted him into the air and open his jaws to eat the hero of the Trojan War. Just then he was cut-off by a thunderous voice behind him.

-Heracles: "Fowl beast! You have caused your own death on this day, when you chose to attack my fathers chosen city. Now you will answer to Heracles! Son of Zeus and the most powerful warrior in all of Greece. Put the war hero down, and face a god".

Grendel snarled as threw Achilles to the ground and faced Heracles. The city of Athens cheered as the gods finally answered their prayers. Grendel's mother seen Heracles from the shadows of the city as he challenged her son. Heracles was unaware of his mother and the powers she held. Heracles only knew that Grendel had to be stopped, and if he couldn't stop the monster, Athens would be torn apart.

Considering Beowulf and Heracles have the same exact superpower(super strength), I think Heracles would win. How he would handle Grendle's mother is another story.

Heracles takes Grendel in a walk. I'll even give it to him that he can solo Grendel butt naked like Beowulf did.

He's doomed as soon as Grendel's Mom comes looking for some payback, though.
