Issac would pick up the device and try to play the recording if it was not damage.

The device in question would be minus its visual, though sounds would be heard in the background of cries and screams as the man attempted to speak.

"3-8-9-Oh blast! What was that code! If only Officer Kelm didn't get devoured, poor bastard...Dragged off into the ducts, and the key card with him. NO! AHHHHHH-!!

The scream would be cut off as the sounds of something feasting occurred....

Near the door, the keypad would be that which used a six-digit combo. Possible to hack, though if it went wrong...Who knows what may happen?

Out with the Cell Group, Galen would frown behind his mask as they came to a door where a door would be ajar. The keypad next to it, melted and within, the bodies of two guards on the floor would lie.

Somehow, that box was able to send them a message. And it did not sound good at all. Richard gritted his teeth as he stepped away from the metal tubing.

"Get away from the metal tunnel," He whispered as he neared the door. "Can anyone open the door without making any noise?" He kept his voice low. He didn't know if whatever that was knew where they were, but if not they need to make sure it doesn't.

Link would aprouch the door, which they only had the first three numbers of the code from the message, he would say to Richard,

" I'm going to try, but no promises on how quiet."

Link would then attempt to open the door with his sword, attempting to cut along the edges of the door.

With the force required to attempt to slash through what was essentially a prison door in the hall....It wouldn't be enough. The most it would do was make a small scratch and a noise like nails on a chalkboard.

A few minutes later, the metal vent would shake again....This time followed with the sounds of many things approaching. From all around, the noise would echo before it suddenly pattered off into silence....

What he hoped was that someone who knew the technology (preferably Isaac) would step up. Instead, he saw Link whisper something before causing a screeching noise.

"In the name of the Creator will you stop that! You'll get us..."

He wished that he could tone down his anger but the sound of rumbling from the tunnel showed that it was far too late.

"You." He turned to Isaac. "Can you do something with that lock?" He turned, bringing his sword towards the tunnel only to have it cease. This sure is a great start, he thought with heavy sarcasm.

Ed eyed the bodies anxiously. "Any chance they're just sleeping?"

Galen would frown and stride over, kicking them on their backs to look at their faces....Which were both covered by some sort of creature, crab-like and wrapped around their faces.

"No, I don't think so."

Galen would kneel and speak as he examined the bodies.

"Trouble. These things latch onto your face, may as well say goodbye. Keep a wary eye out."

And approaching terminals, he began to attempt to hack them.

"Keep an eye out. Don't wanna be surprised like these guys."

Back at the door, Link would look sheepish.

"Sorry guys. Don't know what came over me."

Ed nodded warily. With that, he touched palms and turned his forearm plate into the signiture metallic blade he always used. Glancing at Galen's hacking, "What are you doing?"

As he spoke, he took a wary step back from the crablike creatures.

Galen wouldn't even turn as he spoke.

"Prisons like these are always equipped with surveillance equipment. I'm hoping to hack into the mainframe and get access, it'll give us more information on what happened here, as well as let us know if there is anyone still alive....And there."

He tapped the final key....And slammed the console with his fist.

"Damn it! Access denied!"

"Not yet..."

It was at that moment that a skittering noise was heard, outside the doors.

  • 2 weeks later...
Edward jumped to attention, blade raised whilst taking a stance. "Who's out there??"

There would be no sounds yet. If he wanted to see, he would have to step outside the doors....

There would be no sounds yet. If he wanted to see, he would have to step outside the doors....

Ed heard nothing. Off of that, he assumed something was lying in wait. To Galen, he motioned with his hands to hide behind the wall next to the doorway, while Ed himself hid on the other side. He took a deep breath, then touched his palms, before placing his hands on the ground. A dozen metal fists, each wide as a man, would shoot from the floor outside the doors, in a generally random pattern so as to hit what might be lying in wait.

"Hm... So that's how it is." Ed would then transmute his automail into a sheild of metal that covered his face and chest. Crouching low, and using his small stature to better obscure his body, Edward edged closer to the doorway, leaning inside sheild first.

Silence would reign, and by looking both ways if he moved the shield down, he would see the spikes he made....And nothing more, up and down the entire corridor. Though ahead would be a small grate that looked melted open. And on the floor itself before him, a clear, viscous liquid.

"What am I looking at," Ed mumbled, dropping his guard slightly. Ed would transmute the ground to craft for himself a longspear. He then casually tossed the longspear into the corridor and onto the puddle of clear liquid, ever anticipating some kind of devious trap or trick. If nothing hppened to the spear, he'd walk closer to inspect the sight before him.

Galen would feel a sudden sense of danger, and would spin in his chair as he cried out, not knowing what was happening from inside the room.

"Look out!"

Whether it would be enough, would be anyones guess as from the ceiling where it lay in wait, the Xenomorph drone would send its tail plunging down in an attempt to skewer the Alchemist from behind. The liquid on the ground, being its own "drool" as it attacked.

The warning, coupled with Edwards warrior reflexes, would be enough for him to react, if barely. Ed wheeled around with his sheild, in an effort to block the incoming attack. He'd purposely made his shield wide and long, but thin, so that things could get stuck. If he managed to catch the Xenomorph tail in his automail arm, he'd hastily touch palms and harden and close his metal around and through the tail, effectively severing it. Whether or not the tail got stuck,

he'd roll backwards and touch palms again, before placing two hands on the floor. From the ceiling, a xenomorph sized fist would rocket down from point blank toward the beast, pinning it down against the floor.

The instant the tail stabbed through and was severed, the acid blood would spray freely from the open would, gushing against Edward due to the closeness, hitting his jacket and eating away at the automail which connected it to his shoulder.

As for the Xenomorph itself, it would drop to the ground and roar before feeling itself suddenly held in place....Long enough for the fist to pin it down as it screamed out and flailed. Trapped, but not for long as answering cries would echo throughout the station....

"What is this stuff??" Ed questioned, tearing his jacket off with his mechanical arm. He quickly saw that the blood of the beast was acidic, and he clapped, changing the composition of his arm by adding large amounts of carbon. His arms durability would now be, more or less, the same level as diamond, though at the cost of weight and mobility.

Hopefully the tactic would salvage what was left of the arm. He'd repair it best he could, making some parts hollow so as to seal off the outter plates of the automail. Then, "You bastard. You ruined my jacket!! Well, let's see how you like this!!" Ed bent on one knee and touched palms, then touched his knee. The knee's metal twisted into the form of a crude machine gun, and using the metal of the ship for makeshift ammunition, sprayed rapid fire shots at the beast from a distance.

OOC: He did it to his arm once in the anime, so I figure why not his leg?
