Marvel vs Twilight: Part: 1

Marvel Man

Hello and welcome! This is Marvel's Corner!

Today I'm not posting my Soap. Instead I'm posting the first part of my Twilight/Marvel crossover. Enjoy:

-----------------

The Rise of Twilight...

------------------------------------

New York: Midnight

"That's right folks, hundreds, no, thousands of fans are lined up for the Twilight midnight showing. We have reports of this happening all over the country. Not since Star Wars has a franchise inspired so many fans. We are witnessing history!"

The tape ended.

Hidden in the corner, the Man without Fear asked, "Why do you keep watching that?"

"To remind myself..."

"Of what?"

"That those things out there are people...", Frank Castle replied.

Almost as if on cue, a horrible moan began. United as one, the mindless beings chanted over and over in a low monotone voice.

"Edward.... Jacob... Bella..."

Inside their hideout, a small group of survivors laid awake. Their eyes focused on the doors. Guns in their hands. Prayers on their lips. Death at their door...

--------------------------------

"Come on Peter, we're going to be late!"

Mary Jane's voice. It was back.

"Peter, let the police get it. You promised you'd watch Twilight with me. You did this with the first movie too."

Why? Why did he do this to himself?

"Alright, well hurry up. You can watch it with me when it comes out on DVD. Or tomorrow."

Make it stop.

"Go get em' Tiger!"

MAKE IT STOP!

Peter Parker's head snapped forward. His arm moved forward, fast as ever, a fist formed.

"JacOOOBB!"

Peter's fist went through the girl's skull. Brain matter splashed all over the place, as an innocent life was put out like a candle. Deep in his heart, a soft cry went out, but on the surface, Peter's face remained frozen.

It was life or death.

Spider Man looked up, his Spider-Sense receding back into his skull. His muscles loosened as they remembered their exhaustion.

"Sorry...", he told the body. She couldn't have been older than 20, and now she was dead. Another casualty in the neverending war.

"Edward... Jacob..."

Spider Man was off like a shot, even as his legs screamed for a break. As he swung through the ruins of New York City, his memories began to gather. Just like clouds before a storm, they were dark and heavy...

"Where was she?", his heart asked.

"Dead.", his mind replied.

It had been a couple weeks now. Weeks since that fateful night. And yet a small part of him hoped that it was all a dream, an alternate reality, or maybe some kind of illusion. Below, the constant moans brought him back to reality.

That's when he saw her...

-------------------------------------

"Move it! Move it!"

Luke Cage's gruff voice rang out. All around him, a group of survivors scrambled to follow his instructions. Besides him, his partner, the Iron Fist, shouted similar directions.

"Luke, here they come!", Danny cried out. Even with his power, Danny still looked to Luke for leadership. They all did.

"Keep going, I'll hold them off.", he replied. His eyes were focused on the other side of the alley, where the moans were slowly gaining a greater pitch. The creatures could smell their fear. They could hear their hearts.

"Luke, that's crazy. Come with us.", his partner replied. Behind his mask, Danny's eyes pleaded with Luke. He was their leader, and so far, the only reason any of them were the way they were.

"No. You're Iron Fist. They'll follow you. Now go."

"I'll stay too."

"Go!"

"Luke!"

"GO!"

Danny gave his friend one more look. It was the last time these lifelong friends would see one another, and they knew it. A life time of heroics, of adventure, all coming to an abrupt end.

And then he was gone. Luke was alone in a small alley. The only sound was his own breathing, deep and calm. He knew what would happen. He was ready. Now came the easiest part.

He said a last prayer, then assumed his fighting stance.

"Team Edward... Team Jacob...", the voices moaned.

It was at that moment that he saw them. All were girls. Few were women. Their eyes stared forward, seeing him, but not in the same way a normal person sees one another. They saw him the same way a lion sees a lamb.

A shiver betrayed his expression, one of disgust, and revealed his fear.

"Christmas!", Luke shouted out. It wasn't the mass of dirty girls which terrified him, but one in particular. Her skin was unbreakable, flawless, and green. Her eyes were blank, stunning, and green. Her hair was long, flowing, and also green. Her name was She Hulk.

"Get ready to go down, freaks!", Luke bravely stated. His teeth were clenched, as were his fists.

At that moment, they rushed forward. Each one came at a different pace, some fast, some slow. All of them lumbered forward with their arms out, as if there was something in front of them they couldn't reach. As they walked, their mouths continued to moan, a bit louder than before. They were like zombies from a horror movie.

Luke closed his eyes as a hundred different thoughts raced through his mind. Then he leapt forward.
