Egypt vs the Norse; This should be good.

Believe it or not the Norse (specifically the Normans) did travel as far East as Iran and Arabia. There is archeological evidence of Viking raids as far East as modern Israel/Palestine. The Normans even conquered Sicily, but I could not find evidence of the raiding of Egypt. Other parts of North Africa I could find, but I could not find a source discussing Viking raids of Egypt. Of course that was when Egypt was a largely Muslim nation and had been for about 500 years at that time, so it could be taken with a grain of salt.

The main problem with Sobek was that not only was he not that famously known even amongst other Egyptian gods/goddesses but the majority of his worshipers were simple villagers who lived along the Nile and constantly prayed for Sobek to not flood the river banks.

Thor meanwhile would not only have much more followers to call upon to battle but they were much more likely to be actual warriors and raiders. Thor and the Vikings for the win!
