Firstly I think both goddesses will have trouble in that the Ferengi were notoriously misogynistic for most of their history, so unless this match takes place near the end of Deep Space 9 then it’ll be a challenge in itself just to convince the Ferengi to give them a chance.

In that scenario I think Demeter would have a better chance then Kali, and not just because growing grains, corn, and other harvests would be more profitable and therefore intriguing to the Ferengi then destruction and change. But another thing working against Kali is her temper and lack of control which almost led her to almost destroy the universe. Demeter from what I looked up seems to be more even tempered and a very eloquent speaker; in some myths when her mortal lover Iaison got into trouble with Zeus, Demeter not only convinced Zeus to spare Iasion but also grant him immortality so that she and him can be together forever.

So between her more lucrative abilities and being a better eloquent and persuasive speaker I’m voting Demeter to win.
