Both are expert archers and do well at setting traps. The shifting sands will give both of them an issue so I think it's anyone's game.

 Merlyn's probably a more skilled fighter, but Aloy is so physically superior he may be wise not to fight her up close. She also appears to have a more diverse arsenal. 

The most important advantage Merlyn may have here, in archery, fighting, and stealth, is experience.

Yeah his experience might be his greatest attribute in this fight. A tough call but good analysis of the fight
