So Ichigo isn't a planet-buster from what I remember, but I actually don't think that matters here. He can fly and is much faster than Ego. Ego would have a hell of a time landing a single hit, but even if he did, between Ichigo's mountain-carving sword and high durability, Ichigo could easily survive any of Ego's rock or energy based attacks. The real question is whether or not Ichigo can figure out the nature of his opponent and find his brain. If he does that, the fight is over, but that might take a while. Again, though, Ichigo is pretty much perpetually safe until that happens. He's just so much faster than Ego that Ego would never land a good shot

Truly, he only ever really needs to land a hit on Ego's core and I'm pretty sure he hits harder than the bomb that Rocket had at hand for Groot, so there's really no hassle. Ichigo is faster than Ego's tendrils, more durable than Ego's human form (StarLord blasted through it) and even though Ego's human form can fly, so can Ichigo. He's got every advantage here.
