This shouldn't be a big problem for my good man Sir Daniel Fortesque. He has a large variety of magical weapons and armor that Spike doesn't have a defense for such as dragon fire, lightning, a gatling gun or even the chicken drumstick (which turns the enemy into a chicken). Daniel has dealt with much more dangerous opponents and has surprisingly good skill in combat. Just watch gameplay from any of his games. I'm in his corner this round.

With that being said, Spike might be able to gather a large crowd and turn them against Daniel due to sheer charisma and the location presented for this fight. Don't know if a crowd of human characters would be able to deal damage to Daniel, but they would provide a distraction at the very least.

Distraction would probably only serve to help Spike get some distance between himself and Daniel. Daniel wouldn't be hurt by the average citizen though, so Spike would have to do better than that.

Is that how he usually does combat? I'm not sure, only seen a few episodes of Cowboy Bebop.

He doesn't, and even if he did, the ship would be a higher tier than Spike and Daniel by miles.
