Which animal would be better at Search and Rescue

While Courage may be cowardly, he does have a neck for searching and rescuing Muriel when the time calls for it

True, and he's a dog. Dogs are naturally bred to be useful for search and rescue missions. I don't know if a monkey the size of Abu can even pull a person out of a predicament, whether they're under snow, drowning or anything in between.

Hm, an interesting draw here and a close one!

Search and rescue is a broad term so I guess it is down to what could be achieved as a majority. I think versality here would go to Abu; he is nimble and could fit into small spaces (we know he's good in caves) for example to bring rations. Jungle and forest terrains go without saying in his favour as he can avoid some of the dangers generally gound on the ground (as monkeys do naturally). Snow is a tough one, and could swing either way, as could water. 

In the real world, capuchin monkeys are highly trained at a variety of tasks (hence why we see so many in films), but are also being used to assist people with injuries or illnesses with daily in-home activities. 

Abu has saved Aladdin a number of times, from water, from falling, with a sword. I could easily see him being used in dangerous situations to access places humans can't and provide life saving support whilst rescue approaches. 

And of course... the biggest advantage any monkey has over most animals... hands!

Abu is great, but Courage has proven rescue operations under his collar. Not much of a contest in my book.
