  1. When you ask, " What is your favorite storyline?" are you asking us our favorite storyline from any medium or strictly a comic based story line? If comic based, that's a bit difficult since they all tend to be so similar. However, my favorite arc in recent history would have to be Batman R.I.P. It was one of the few DC story lines that kept you guessing until the end, and I just enjoyed Grant Morrison's writing style. I'm not sure how else I would describe it other than a dark psychedelic trip. However, if you're talking best story line regardless of medium, that's a whole different ball game. If you're asking this, I'm guessing more than a few people on this site could tell you what my answers going to be. For those of you don't know already, my favorite story line of all-time is George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire.
  2. It'd be nice if someone actually posted something about the topic. Ah well, its probably just a pipe dream.
  3. "I posted a match! Come see how awesome I look! How come I'm not your list?! I just made a match, go and see how great it was!"
  4. Sure, I'll take a look. It might be awhile though. I'll get around to it eventually (maybe).
  5. Well... In that case, its kind of difficult because I don't frequent the CBUB at all. Honestly, I can't even think of 5 writers who actually write decent matches nowadays on a frequent basis. Well, Nesh and Borat are two that come to mind. Honestly I can't think of anyone else who falls under the category of both being an "active user of the CBUB" and a "Decent writer"
  6. Are you asking about the top 5 CBUBers who are actively writing matches right now or of all-time? Of All-time: Some of my favorite CBUB writers (not in any order)... Excluding Serge and the admins who helped write a majority of the back issues because that's just not fair. Caesar Speaks! Acousta Fenris Wolf Granobulax Treacherous Snow Zinger Hamboy FTANG_Commando Culwych Nesh Jarethra I'm forgetting some people, but I think that's a good start.
  7. Scenario: A massive economic discombobulation has caused Electric Ferreters everywhere to lose their jobs. Oh no! Now its up to you to find a job for them, something that fits them perfectly. You sit down at your desk with a listing of every member on the site, who do you give a job to and what is it? Rules: 1) Person A (that's me) will suggest a member, the following person (person must give the member a job and then suggest another member. Person C will take the member suggested and give them a job and so on and so forth. 2.) Same job cannot be given to the same person more than once. 3.) You cannot suggest a job that they currently have. Ready? Member who needs a job: Skirmisher
  8. I don't know. I kind of enjoyed the level of mystery that, that entailed. ROCK LOBSTER. ROCK LOBSTER. Plus, in comparison with some of the other crap that's out there I'd have to say that, that's an EXTREMELY minor detail. Don't get me wrong, it'd be nice to learn of what happened to them, but if you think about it the Cowboy Bebop was ended at exactly the right time.
  9. Well, I can't really make a list considering my extremely limited amount of choices. However, if I were to forced to somehow come up with a list it would have to go: 1. Cowboy Bebop That's it. If you ever seen this series and tried to put any other anime in the same list as if you're thinking about comparing this masterpiece, its just blasphemy. There's really nothing NOT to like about that show. Great characters, intriguing plot, awesome concept, lots of fun, and they have Edward. What more could you want?
  10. A streak of black coffee ran through the bristly wires of Osgar's beard. While his head was still being bombarded from last nights kegger, the shapes of the coffee house had just begun to make enough for him to be able to decipher his surroundings. Not bothering to wipe is now soggy beard his green eyes perked up as he noticed the young girl sitting across from him. The giant scot knew her from somewhere, though in his current state it was hard to say from where. Whoever she was, she seemed nice enough talking about... Who knows what? Osgar nodded his head absentmindedly and laughed at the next comment. Osgar had never been on of restraint when it came to laughter and this instance was no different. Osgar's laughter boomed across the coffee house transcending all the hustle and bustle of clanking cups, bongo druming, and poetic impulses. Osgar rose from the table unable to contain his drunken revelry for much longer, and with that his mighty hand came swiftly downwards knocking the small table on its edge. Needless to say Osgar's hot cup of coffee splashed everywhere, including all over the girls lap, who looked strangely like a pixie for some odd reason. The pixie simply sat there, perplexed and dark brown spot slowly soaked into her shirt. Osgar reached out a meaty hand and clasped on the young girls shoulder, slightly brushing her blue black hair, "Sorry lassie, ol' osgar haas a bit o de tip--- tipsys." For a moment, the young women looked as if she were going to slap the beard off of the large scottish bafoon but instead a smile slowly crept onto her face and at first let out a slight chuckle which then grew and grew until it was an all consuming giggle. "Ahhh, Oggie. What are we gonna do with you? You know this isn't the way to get discounts on Celtic Frost." With that blue, black and raven-haired pixie was whisked away by the clamor of the coffee shop. Osgar stood there for a moment, swaying slightly in tune with his own personal rockin' concert of the mind. As the alcohol, continued to flow through him Osgar couldn't help but to unleash his booming voice once more. With hik kilt still dripping from the spilled coffee he staggered over to the counter and bellowed, "Charisma! How you doin' Lass? 'avn't seen ye in a wile nao!"
  11. Yes, members who wanted to submit a character were expected to provide a link to the character's wikipedia page, a link to the official site that owned the rights to the character, and three other valid resources.
  12. Trekker, since you're new here and have no idea what's going on I'll try to explain things a bit. First off, the character add function is just that, it allows members to add existing characters to the CBUB database in order to be used in CBUB matches. The CBUB does not have a character creation function as this is what the is FPL all about. Honestly, if we have both branches doing relatively the same thing, there's not really much of a point and the purpose of the CBUB would be diminished. Secondly, there are already a number of people who can accept character adds. Like me, for instance. They are also known as the sites Administrators and Moderators. A note about the sites "staff" (I use that term very loosely), is that none of us get paid and everything we do on the site is voluntary. In that regard don't ever complain to us that things are getting done. We're not offering a service, you don't deserve anything. Everything we do for you should be treated as a gift, because we can simply choose not to help you with no ill effect on us at all. On to my next point, the reason why the CBUB does not CURRENTLY accept new characters is there are a few bugs in the system which causes problems with character acceptance and the like. The sites Head Administrator, Serge and another administrator by the name of MrGraves are the only people that can solve this issue as it has to do with the sites syntax. Something we don't have direct access to. Also, everyone, stop complaining about character add not being up. Finally, character acceptance is a drag. Seriously. It's not fun for us at all. Its a mundane task, and with the hundreds of character requests that can come in, there seems to be no sense of progression at times. Its not like we can just accept out of hand without really looking at your request as it would cause so many problems with the database it'd be ridiculous. We actually have to verify a certain number of things before the character is accepted. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
  13. Also, you get demoted for not citing Old Man River as another Moderator of the site.
  14. Sorry to rain on your parade everyone but the CBUB does not (nor as it ever) offer a service that lets you create characters. Eventually, you'll be able to add characters that have already been created. If you have any questions regarding character adds, I will pretend I know the answer. If you're looking to create characters feel free to take a look at the FPL.
  15. Norman St. Burger say idly by letting a large flame every now and then just so everyone knew for certain that he was indeed a Hell Burger. As he admired his flaming awesomeness, and his juicy 100% USDA approved beefy goodness. Norman, spotted Gogogo, and the rest of the heroes gasping in fear in front of what appeared to be some sort of giant turtle. After one last blast of flame. He began to float over, to what appeared to be a giant Frog with an equally giant crown on her head. Not quite understanding, what was happening Norman St. Burger floated around and decided it was best to nibble at him self a bit. Gogogo, decided to take action and began prancing all around Norman St. Burger singing the "You should attack the bad guy" song complete with backing vocals from Paper-cut man.
