  1. I have read the VS Battles wiki on Omega Supreme and actually the page listed his attack potency as Varies. The only reason he might be considered multi-continent level is because he was able to blast a hole in Devastator, another supposed multi-continental buster. VS wiki also listed near the bottom of Omega’s page that IDW Transformers comics are notoriously inconsistent with the power levels of their characters and that both Omega and Devastator have had their strengths fluctuate between City-level and Multi-continent level so often it’s difficult to for the wiki to say with certainty what level they belong at. Their is no such questions with Gamera, he is a consistent Tier 6 Large Island busting character and he has shown that power level throughout his Heisei and Showa run. Yes Omega Supreme is considered one of the most powerful characters in the Transformers universe, but remember that the average Transformer is at best a city level threat, meanwhile the average Kaiju is considered a national, if not a world wide threat and Gamera is unquestionably one the most powerful Kaijus, at least comparable to the likes of Godzilla. Yes I’m aware that Gamera has been impaled before, why? Wonder Woman is also vulnerable to stabbing weapons, does that take away the fact that she has withstood blows from Superman in the past? Also Omega doesn’t have any stabbing weapons so how will he take advantage of that weakness?
  2. Final Argument: The main argument for Imhotep seems to center on how his ancient Egyptian will be able to kill the Scooby gang quickly, but can anyone actually name a time he actually used them to kill an actual main character (not meaningless extras)? He’s had two films to kill off Rick, Evie, Jonathan, or Ardeth and he’s never done so. I know that your arguing that he was in a hurry and needed to reach the temple of the Scorpion King that day, but come on his henchwomen was able to take a five second detour to kill off Evie (she got better), are you really telling me that Imhotep couldn’t also take five seconds to kill Rick, the guy who killed him last movie, the guy who he knows will come after him even harder then before because his main squeeze killed Rick’s wife? Come on dude you know that it wouldn’t have cost him any real time to off Rick while the guy was literally crying over Evie’s body (again she’ll get better). Again it comes down to the fact that Imhotep is far too arrogant and proud to take almost anyone seriously, and the fact is he’ll probably carry this attitude into his confrontation with Mystery Inc., which’ll probably give them plenty of time to escape and plan a way to fight Imhotep. Whether they’ll actually succeed in that endeavor is irrelevant, the main point is that their’s no evidence to suggest Imhotep will have the forethought to try to one shot the gang instantly. Freddy Kruger on the other hand has killed two final girls (Nancy Thompson, Kristen Parker), three horror movie survivors (Kincaid, Joey, Dan Jordan) and would have killed Jason freaking Voorhees had he not been interrupted. So in my mind I’m not only seeing Freddy as a more efficient killer, being able to actually kill main characters, but he is also in his fucking elements in this scenario. His entire career has been built on killing hapless teenagers so you know he’ll take to this task far quicker then Imhotep. I just have to give this to Freddy Kruger, he’s a far more efficient, successful, and smarter killer then Imhotep, and he can actually kill characters with plot armor.
  3. No offense to Sam, but he didn’t really kill anyone himself during his movie did he? The Thing is one of my favorite movie monsters so it’ll be hard for me to go against it.
  4. And how exactly are firepower and durability comparable? When exactly has Omega Supreme survived anything close to what Gamera’s explosive flower feat? According to all sources I’ve read he’s only impervious to non-nuclear explosives, which to me means he can be damaged and hurt by explosions of that magnitude. More importantly, he’s never shown the ability to produce that type of firepower against his opponents either. Gamera has shown over and over again that his most powerful attacks and blasts can cause that level of damage and that he can tank said damages. The question shouldn’t be who will get tired first, it’s who can damage the other first; Omega just doesn’t have the offensive ability to produce serious damage to Gamera, but Gamera can and will hit Omega with damage that according to canon will seriously hurt Omega. That’s why I’m favoring Gamera.
  5. No reason to take out the O’Connells? How about the fact that they were the ones who killed him in the last freaking movie? How about the fact that Rick literally had a tattoo on his arm that meant he was destined to fight evil like Imhotep? How about the fact that he kidnapped their son and knew very well that they were going to come after him? Are none of those reasons to destroy the O’Connells immediately? And if not then why the heck would he be in a hurry to kill the Scooby gang? If was comfortable spending two/thirds of a movie dicking around with a guy who killed him in the last movie, then why wouldn’t he do the same with some random teenagers. Heck, the guy was stupid enough to mistake Evelyn for his love reincarnated (she was actually the Pharaoh’s daughter reincarnated) even though the second film revealed that the two looked nothing alike. Whose to say he won’t make the same mistake with Daphne or Velma and give the rest of the gang time to regroup and plan while he’s too busy trying to make her his wife? Yes Freddy has underestimated his victims before but the difference between him and Imhotep is that once Freddy realizes your a threat he stops messing around. In the third film when he has the chance to kill off his old enemy Nancy, he doesn’t fucking hesitate. He doesn’t leave her crying over her dead loved one like Imhotep did with Rick, he straight up kills her off for real! In the fourth film the first thing he does is kill off the three teens who took him out in the last movie, the only real threats to him. No hesitation, no dicking around with them for half a movie just boom, boom, boom! All three dead as a doorknob, no messing around. My main point is Freddy at least learns from his past mistakes, he’s shown the ability to realize he’s underestimated his opponents before and when given a second chance he does go out of his way to eliminate those who have beaten him before. Because of that it is reasonable to argue that he’ll take the Scooby gang more seriously then Imhotep will because he’s been kill off by them before and will actively try to kill them as quickly as he can. Imhotep didn’t even take his archenemy Rick seriously enough to kill him as soon as he got the chance, so why should I think he’ll have have a different mindset with a bunch of teenagers and their talking dog?
  6. Here’s my two cents: When I looked up Omega Supreme multiple sites said that his armor was impervious to all non-nuclear explosives. I also read that Ratchet explicitly said that a nuclear bomb could dent Omega’s armor. In the second film in the Gamera trilogy, Gamera not only survived a nuclear explosion that leveled the ENTIRE city of Sendai, but in the next movie he was said to be even stronger then before. Doesn’t that give Gamera a huge durability advantage?
  7. If this a contest on who can make the journey the fastest just remember, COURAGE CAN DRIVE!!! If he can get a car he’ll smoke Charlie.
  8. The one thing working against Imhotep in this matchup will be his tendency to underestimate his opponents. In both Mummy movies he constantly missed chances to fully eliminate Rick and the gang because he didn’t see them as too big of threats to him. Now he did have his henchwomen kill Evie (temporarily) in the second movie, but didn’t try to kill off Rick afterwards despite knowing that Rick beat him once and that attacking him while he was distraught over Evie’s death would have been his best chance. Because of that I see Imhotep also underestimating the Scooby gang as well, and the problem with that is that Velma (as of Scooby Doo Where’s My Mummy) is now a ancient Egyptian expert and will likely figure out a way to defeat Imhotep if he toys with them too much. Now at first I thought Freddy being beaten by teenagers in the past would be his weakness, but now I realize it is a strength! Because Freddy has been beaten by teenagers in the past he’ll know better then to underestimate the Scooby gang and will go for the killing blow quicker then Imhotep would. Also when Freddy kills main characters (Nancy, Kristen) they stay dead!
  9. Another great match Johnnychan! Much respect for the time and effort you put into these. I got two main reasons for going with Asuka for this one: 1. Asuka has always been one of my go to characters to play as, she was the first character in Tekken V that I mastered, so I will always consider her one of the better fighters in this crossover. 2. In canon both Asuka and Makoto have beaten only one opponent each, Asuka beat Lili and Makoto beat Dan. To me, beating Dan Hibiki is not much of a feat, so I give canon advantage to Asuka. My votes for Asuka and I hope she moves on to the next round.
  10. Jon Snow vs Lurtz “So that was the story?” The new recruit crossed his arms and glowered at the older Ranger with silent disappointment. “Aye. That’s how I ended up back at the Night’s Watch once again.” The grizzled warrior nodded his head, writing something in his journal. “Let me guess, you didn’t like how it ended.” “I mean no disrespect Lord Commander, but there just seemed to be so many plot holes or abandoned storylines near the end of your tale; what happened to the ‘Prince that was Promised’ prophecy? How come the Qarth warlords never went after Daenerys again? Ser Jaime abandoned Cersei and got together with Ser Brienne, but then immediately left Brienne for Cersei again? How in the world did Daenerys ‘kinda forget’ about the Iron Fleet and the Scorpions?” “Admittedly, I’m still a bit confused about that last point myself,” the Lord Commander smiled sheepishly. “Also I just don’t feel like Daenerys descent to madness was properly built up, she just suddenly went from being a strong, yet just queen to turning into a paranoid and insane women with world conquering ambitions. And how come the Unsullied didn’t just kill Tyrion? His house is long gone, he had no allies or influence left, yet they not only kept him alive for weeks but also allowed him to partake in the Great Council and then be pardoned?” “I’m fairly certain some higher power is keeping our dear dwarf from ever dying,” the veteran leader chuckled good naturally. “And you-you’re Jon Snow! You came back from the dead! You helped destroy the Night Walkers! And deposed of a potential second Mad King! You had all this build up, all this hype, and in the end you just end up right back at the Night Watch’s, now with almost nothing to do? Doesn’t that all seem a bit, anticlimactic to you?” The young man wrapped up his complaints. “Anticlimactic? I’m guessing that’s the main problem with my little tale huh? It started out so good and just couldn’t deliver an ending that matched all the buildup,” Lord Commander Jon Snow surmised. “I suppose that is the main reason. I don’t mean to insult everything you’ve been through Lord Commander, I just got so invested in your story, I really wanted it to have the ending it deserved,” The newly sworn brother sighed. “As do I and many others I suspect. Alas it is the ending we got and sure it is confusing, inconsistent, and far from perfect, but then again so we’re most of the main characters of this tale, so in a way I guess you could argue that the ending was in a way a reflection of our world as a whole. Sorry, tried to be a bit poetic there. I just hope the ending doesn’t ruin the rest of the story for you,” Jon favored the younger Crow with a rueful grin. “No ser! It’s still the greatest story I’ve ever heard in my life! I thank you for sharing it with me, it’s a pleasant break from digging latrines or repairing the old town hall,” the junior black brother glanced outside the commander’s tent, looking over the still half ruined city of Hardhome. “Did you ever think you’d see the day the Night’s Watch would be rebuilding wildlings villages to pass the time?” “My old commander would have hanged you for just suggesting that,” Jon smiled despite himself, finally finished writing in his journal. “So, are you going to tell me how you ended up joining the Watch?” “Me? Well the-the thing is... It’s-it’s not that great of a story Lord Commander, not nearly as interesting as yours.” “Perhaps not, but I’d like to hear it anyway. I like knowing who my new brother in arms are. Though I guess we’d be brothers in hammers now,” Commander Snow awkwardly joked. “Well... Okay. So it started like this, I-“ A horn suddenly sounds out, causing the two men to tense up slightly. “One blast means friendlies have arrived,” the young recruit sighed, visibly relaxing. A second horn blasts out, louder then the last. “A second means we’re under attack,” Jon Snow surmised, quickly standing and grabbing Longclaw. “Wh-wh-what? But I thought we were at peace with the wildlings!” The young man exclaimed in confusion. “Never mind that now! Grab your sword and come on!” Jon Snow exited his tent and ran toward the sound of the horn. He didn’t have to run far, once he got to the halfway completed wall he saw several dozens of Free Folk and Night’s watchmen attempting to fight off countless creatures that were currently scrabbling over and around the unfinished wall that was meant to guard Hardhome. They were humanoid in build, clad in light grayish armor that seemed crudely made and unremarkable save for the small white hand print marked on the front of their iron helmets. Said helmet covered most of their faces except for around their mouths, allowing Jon to notice the inhuman shaped teeth that jutted out of their mouths every time they let out a savage roar or growl at their opponents. As Lord Commander Snow joined the battle against these creatures he took note of how unnatural strong they were and the savage brutality they displayed in battle. Jon had previously thought no fighting force could ever match the ferocity of the Free Folk in combat, yet these freaks of nature seem to take that savage depravity to a whole new level. Jon Snow found himself being progressively surrounded by this terrible creatures, with only his skill at arms and the sharpness of Longclaw giving him a fighting chance against these relentless beasts of men. “To the seven hells with all you fuckers!” The young recruit was suddenly at Jon’s side, slashing and hacking at the enemies exposed backsides, having been too focused on Jon to see him coming. Jon went on the attack himself and together the Lord Commander and the baby crow managed to cut a bloody path through the bloodthirsty barbarians, leaving numerous dead in their wake. During a brief respite in the battle, Jon shared a look with the junior black brother, face covered in sweat and enemy blood, having undergone a baptism by fire at the highest level, and panting heavily as he held his commanders look. Jon Snow gave the young recruit a nod of approval and the young man smiled gratefully. *Swish! Thonk!* “Uuuuhhh....Uhhhh..” The new recruit gasped out his final words before collapsing to the ground, an arrow bolt protruding from the side of his head. Jon Snow only allowed himself five seconds to grieve over his fallen friend before tearing his gaze away to look for where that arrow came from. Across the field, atop a small field, a figure stands with a bow in hand, glaring down at Jon Snow with a fierce snarl. Unlike the other attackers, the figure on the hill wore no helmet showing without a doubt that these things were not human. The brute’s mouth full of fangs opened far wider then a humans, it’s ears were pointed like a small knife, it’s nose flat against it’s face, and it’s skin was a murky, brownish-yellow color, save for the white hand print that appeared to be painted across it’s face. Jon could hardly believe how monstrous the creature was, it looked like something straight out of Old Nan’s scary stories. But Jon Snow had conquered his fears a long time ago, this monster had already killed one of his friends and he wouldn’t allow it to kill anyone else. With cold, righteous fury coursing through his veins, Jon charged toward the creature, barely slowing to kill another enemy that tried to stop him. The monster roared in challenge at the rapidly approaching Jon Snow. It threw away it’s bow and pulled out a scrimitar and shield. ************************************ The battle takes at the village of Hardhome, a month after the end of GoT. This is Jon Snow at the end of the series armed with Longclaw and his usual armor. Lurtz is armed with the same weapons and armor as his fight with Aragorn. Who wins and who dies?
