  1. I'm actually going to give Elasti-Girl more credit than to instantly fall for this creepy Harvey Weinstein villain. The Mandrill is not the Purple Man - his shtick is much more breakable. That said I imagine Mandrill has a path to victory here, possibly through other female child caregivers. I just do not see a path to victory through Helen Parr.
  2. Mr. Peanut, you have put in a strong performance for my team this season and I thank you. It is not you who have failed, it is the system that continues to put you in the Underwear challenge against lady mascots that has failed. There is no shame for you in these loses, good Sir Peanut. In our hearts, you return to us a champion. Rest now, gentle peanut warrior. Rest.
  3. Snake themed villain operating out of a sewer seems in-character, anyways.
  4. Happened in "Injustice". The only reason Wonder Woman lived was because Super Man was there to save her. Wonder Woman does not win here, IMO.
  5. Well, here we are - the final regular season round. With 20 points to win or lose, this could go either way for our contenders in the top band. Soon, the Final Four will be revealed. Should be interesting.
  6. We'll be down to the Final Four in just another round.
  7. It is an interesting match, made more so since both contenders are 2 - 0. I'm sure there aren't many terrains that have gone without a loss so far. I lean Silent Hill here. As much as I enjoy the Riddick character, he is very physical and Silent Hill is more meta-physical / psychological.
  8. I'd like to see this MCU fight on the big screen. Kevin Feige, make it so. I'm conflicted. Shang-Chi is the dexterity and skill fighter, while Sabertooth seems the strength and endurance one. Tough call.
  9. They tied last time. This rematch has a different scenario, so hopefully a winner will be declared. Personally, I'm liking Swarm here. 1. Most people are totally freaked out by bee swarms and would run for their lives. 2. Swarm is composed of individual bees which will most likely get away Scott Free.
  10. We are into the final stretch with these last three regular season rounds running through the big holiday week. Good luck and have a cool Yule!
  11. While I don't disagree that he is smarter, I am wondering if his introverted and anal-retentive personality is a good fit for this challenge. I'm not married to either contestant here. It's just most blackmail isn't carried out by rocket scientists. It's carried out by the kind of flamboyant personalities like Batroc that can get people into compromising positions, or have the physicals to get into a position to get evidence.
  12. Damn, seriously? These are the loser villains that have gone 2 and 0? This is the creme of the loser crop right here. I don't know that Blackmail is in either villain's area of expertise. I'm open to arguments about it, but kind of leaning towards Batroc who has the physicals to get into places to find or get compromising information and photos.
  13. I'm leaning towards Alan Grant. This challenge just seems like it is strongly in his area of expertise and wheelhouse.
  14. Well, here's a clash of titans. I would love to see the version of The Shining where Ashley Williams is the winter caretaker. The scenes almost write themselves. As to who wins? Well, the Overlook is on my team but I'm a huge fan of Evil Dead so... toss up?
  15. Angar the Screamer has a voice which induces hallucinations. I imagine he could just incapacitate the staff with bad trips as he walks out the door. At least he has a power that works here to get him out. Riddler brings nothing to the table here because he's not going to be able to riddle his way out. I mean, I'm pretty sure he has spent time in Arkham. Has that ever worked out for him?
  16. To be fair, so far this season she has lost all her battles. As to this battle, I personally don't see a clear-cut winner. I mean, if it were some sort of cross-over fight in a comic, the writer of the battle would probably have to pull some plot contrivance out to hand the win to either. I might end up tossing a coin but will look for any discussion on it.
  17. With four rounds left to go, and 80 points still out there to grab on to, anything could happen.
  18. I think we all have some fights we think our contender should have won. Hey, I'm in the same boat - why is nobody recognizing the power of ALF?
  19. People are going to say that Kara has a strength and a speed advantage. And that is absolutely true. But that's not the whole story or the whole fight. Black Bolt has Win conditions here also and brings a lot more utility to the table. Mental powers such as compelling someone to go to sleep. Kryptonians don't have any particular mental resistance. Durability - has taken hits from the Hulk and Gladiator. Black Bolt can take a punch. Area of Effect attacks - Black Bolt doesn't have to compete with Kara in a fighting punch fest - he has wide area, vastly destructive powers that can bring Kara down. A whisper can take down Gladiator who is roughly equal to a Kryptonian. Given Kara's super hearing, could be worse for her if she gets Black Bolt shouting at her. Anyways, this is by no means a stomp and Black Bolt has a long history of using his versatile set of powers to come out on top.
  20. Twenty-Four hours is more than enough time for the Overlook on this one. In Doctor Sleep the ghosts are shown to be able to take out a person very quickly if they are motivated. Then add in the environmental threats like murderous animated topiary, blood spewing elevators and possession. I don't think one stump-dumb redneck with a shotgun stands much chance of walking out of there alive a day later.
  21. I have no context for Planet 4546B, and there's no comments here giving me any. At least I know Alexa. Guess she survives!
  22. Having just recently spent a week at Disney World, I can verify that much of the food in the parks tastes about like a Colgate frozen entree. And Mickey got me to pony up for it more than once.
  23. The War of the World Martians are, literally, the most stupid invasion fleet ever. How could any technologically advanced force bent on invading a planet NOT have verified the dangers posed by its environment and / or biome ahead of time? It's mind boggling.
  24. Kind of seems like a strong challenge for Rat Catcher.
