Chapter 60: Phase 3: No Rest for the Weary Part V Previously, Facing off against countless pirates and mercenaries was nothing compared to where he was now. The search for Captain Flint's Planet of a Thousand Worlds had led him to this place of ancient ruins. While John Silver started exploring the relics of a past long thought forgotten, the cyborg realized that he was not alone. In this temple, he heard blaster fire. Not wanting to find himself apart of another needless battle, the cyborg did his best to avoid the conflict. Venturing deeper into this ancient temple, he used the tools that were built into his arm to detect any traps that were planted in ages past. After evading multiple traps and discovering multiple tunnels, the Pirate captain soon found himself in a closed off room. A dim link shined upon a tool that was hidden away thousands of years ago. The large cyborg linked his lips as he started walking closer toward the ancient tool. "If it is true from what they say, you will certainly get me closer to findin' that planet." Reaching out with his massive hands, his large fingers encompassed the ancient Wayfinder. The pirate captain took it off its perch and looked over his price. Before he could really relish in his victorious find, the stand in which the Wayfinder sat lowered itself deep into a mechanism that was set up by the creators of this ancient temple. Silver groaned as the room started to move. The walls shifted around and closed off tombs started to reveal themselves. The pirate's eyes widened once he saw dust covered droids from long ago emerge from these ancient tombs. While they were slow to move, these droids' eyes were sparking to life and they started moving towards the intruder. "I think I best be goin' now!" Silver exclaimed while smacking his lips. As the cyborg turned around, he saw a woman standing before him and the exit. The woman appeared scuffed up and dirty from a previous altercation. Silver assumed that she must have been one of the people involved in the blaster fire that he had heard earlier. His large dark eyes soon fell upon the blaster that she had gripped tightly in her hand. She had it pointed at the pirate captain before quickly turning it towards one of the oncoming droids. The woman blasted the droid down before she turned her attention back to John Silver. "That belongs to me!" The woman growled. "And might ya think ya be, lil' darlin'?" Silver muttered as he glanced back at some of the other droids coming toward them. "Oh, my name is Aphra, but you won't have to worry about that. Give me the Wayfinder and I will let you leave." Doctor Aphra giggled. Silver looked down at the ancient artifact and sighed. He then looked back up at Doctor Aphra. He shook his head before turning his mechanical arm into a small cannon. He shot down one of the approaching droids and then turned back to look down at the archeologist. "No can do, lil' darlin'!" Silver shouted before turning his arm cannon towards Aphra. Before Aphra could shoot down the pirate, a group of droids came in between the two. Aphra shot down some while Silver plowed his way through the droids and knocked Aphra back on the ground. The cyborg made his way out of the ancient temple as the ground started to shake beneath him. He could hear Aphra behind him. He could hear the continued sounds of blaster fire coming from the archeologist. The large pirate soon found his way out of the temple, and he tried to get back to his ship. To his horror, he watched the ground open and his ship fell down deep inside the planet. He glanced back at the direction of the temple and then looked around in a panic. The traps that were set ages ago seemed as if they would claim the life of John Silver. He thought back to his life and his battles. He thought back to protecting young Jim Hawkins from the treacherous Commander Rourke, the conniving Captain Hook, and the crafty Don Karnage. Was this the end of John Silver? It was a question that came to him as rivers of lava started to appear from underneath cracks of the planet's surface. In that moment, he felt his time was near. He looked down over the Wayfinder and shook his head in disbelief. Suddenly, a beam of light shined down upon the cyborg. He looked up to see a massive ship hovering above him. The ship lower down to the surface and the doors started to open. With no other option, the cyborg made his way onto the ship. He looked back at the collapsing temple before making his way further into the ship. As he sauntered into an open area, he saw a man standing with a blaster aimed at the pirate captain. Silver groaned before shaking his head. "Oh brother, and who are you?" Silver asked with a tired expression. "Name's Dash." "Don't tell me, you were lookin' for this?" Silver said while raising his hand to show off the Wayfinder. "As a matter of fact, yeah..." Dash said with a grin. "I was... Until that Doctor Aphra gave me a little trouble. Before I could finish her off, you set off those traps." "Sorry 'bout that." Silver said while gritting his teeth. His massive fingers practically engulfed the Wayfinder as he buried his deep in his jacket pocket. "No problem. At least when she went to find you, I got back to my ship here." Dash replied while gesturing at the Outrider." "So, where does that leave us?" John Silver asked while glaring at the smuggler. "You tell me..." Dash replied. "I am the one that rescued you from certain death and I am the one that has a blaster aimed right at the massive head of yours." Before the cyborg could respond to the smuggler, he felt a vibration in his jacket pocket. The same pocket that he placed the ancient Wayfinder. He felt the ancient artifact burning his pocket. He quickly reached into his pocket and tossed the artifact down on the floor. He let out a grunt from the artifact burning his hand. Both men watched as a bright light started to radiate out of the relic. Soon a blinding light filled the cabin and then a loud overpowering noise took hold of the ship. Then everything stopped. The light had faded, and the sound had died out. The Wayfinder was no longer sitting on the floor but was now hovering in the air. Dash's eyes widened once he saw two figures standing on the other side of the floating relic. "Who are you? How did you get on my ship?" He asked in disbelief. One of the figures, a small green creature, gazed up at the smuggler. "Ask not who we are, but where we are going next." Now A loud pounding started coming from the other side of the door that led to the New Republic cruiser. Soldiers and guards watched over the doors with their blasters ready for battle. The tension grew once they heard a screeching sound following the horrific pounding. Scratching soon started to fill the cabin as whatever was making that sound was trying claw its way inside. Soon the sound of a lightsaber could be heard followed by terrifying screams. "Get ready, everyone!" The captain of the guard hollered while his eyes were glued to the door. The Punisher and Elektra soon made their way toward the door with their weapons ready. Soon, the metal doors opened revealing the dark latch on the other side. Standing with a lightsaber drawn was Kyle Katarn. Flash Thompson stumbled in from behind the Jedi and collapsed inside the cruiser. "What happened?" The captain of the guard asked. "Who are you?" "My name is Kyle Katarn. Jedi Grandmaster Luke Skywalker sent me to help." "What happened?" Frank asked while looking down at Flash. "The ship...." Flash as the symbiote detached from his body. "It's been overrun." "By what?" Frank asked. "I don't know... Some kind of creatures. The source of it was from some transport vessel. Some ship with the name Sizhran Transport Systems." Flash said while continuing to recover. "Sizhran? I've heard that name before." Leia said as she approached the group. Kyle's eyes turned towards the New Republic senator. A slight grin formed on the side of his cheeks as he turned towards the former Princess of Alderan. "It is good to see you safe, your highness." "Let me guess, Luke sent you?" While Leia and Kyle conversed, Flash briefed Frank and the other New Republic guards about the creatures that they encountered. His battle against the titan xenomorph had weakened him and the symbiote to the point that he barely escaped with his life. While he continued to tell them about the terrifying monsters, Kyle and Leia spoke amongst themselves. "Do you even have to guess?" Kyle replied. "Did you come here alone?" Leia asked as her eyes moved over the group. "I came here with Hera Syndulla and Sabine Wren in the Ghost. I...." "Hera is here?" Leia interrupted. "Where is she?" Leia's eyes looked over the group of guards trying to see if she could spot her friend. "I left her behind in the Ghost so that I could scope out the space port. I..." Kyle said before pausing. "I sense... Danger..." "She is in trouble." Leia said before her heart sank. "I sense it too." "If these beasts are as dangerous as we have been told, then it is far too dangerous for us to leave. We may have to detach from the space port and find resources elsewhere." The captain of the guard said reluctantly. "We have to get word to the Ghost crew. They are in danger!" Leia ordered. "I'm sorry, senator but your safety and the safety of the remaining New Republic leaders are far too important. We have to prepare for departure. As the captain of the guard left with Kyle Katarn to inform the rest of the leaders about the recent events, a sudden realization fell over Leia. "Sizhran... I remember where I know that name from... That was the family that Prince Xizor had originated from." Leia said to herself. With this sudden realization, she started putting the pieces together in her head. Xizor must have survived. That criminal scum must have orchestrated all of this somehow. He brought these creatures here. He was jamming the signal to all the communications so that the New Republic would be trapped with these beasts. The signal hammers must have been on that transport ship that Agent Venom found. The New Republic senator turned her head towards a wall in the cabin. After pressing a screen, a case opened up to reveal a multitude of blasters. Taking a small blaster pistol, she strapped it into a holster on her hip. The former Rebel then grabbed a blaster rifle. Leia then reached down for a thermal denoator. Knowing that she would need something to destroy the jammer and Xizor's ship, she wrapped her fingers around the powerful explosive and looked over it for a moment. She then placed the explosive on her belt. Before turning her eyes towards the door that led to the latch, she heard a sound from behind her. The former Princess turned to see Elektra standing behind her. "I have to go. I have to save my friend. I have to destroy the signal jammer so that no one else falls into this trap!" Leia pleaded. "I will not stop you. Do what you must." Elektra said as she gazed over the senator. Leia opened the door then turned to look back at the deadly assassin. "Keep these doors close until my return." Elektra nodded before closing the doors in front of Leia. She turned back to see the empty cabin and knew she had to tell the others before the cruiser departed. The deadly assassin made her way to meet up with Frank Castle and Flash Thompson to update them about Leia's decision. Walking through the latch, Leia started preparing herself mentally for what she could possibly face. As she walked into a large section of the space port, she the emptiness. It was eerie. For a place filled with countless traveling species from all across the universe, the place was empty. It was quiet. The former Rebel leader looked around for a moment before pushing forward. Making her way down to the area that Flash had told her about, she found that some of the bodies of the creatures that both Kyle and Flash had faced earlier. Looking over the terrifying beasts, the former Princess of Alderann, closed her eyes and started thinking of the dangers that Hera would be facing. She could not allow her friend to fall victim to these monsters. As she looked over the bodies, she noticed steam had started rising from where the blood had dripped from the wounds of these creatures. The acidic blood had ate away at different sections of the space port. Avoiding the corpses and the hazardous blood, Leia soon found another route to take. To her horror, she found that sections had flooded with the massive space station's water system. Looking over the area, she tried to see if there was a way that she could make it across the water and to the other side. While looking over her surroundings, she almost gagged at the stench. Unsure if it was from rotting corpses or the plumbing that was more than likely swimming inside the water before her, Leia stumbled back and leaned up against a wall to think. As she tried to think of another way, something caught her attention. The New Republic senator's eyes shifted and looked at the murky water before her. There was a movement in the water. Her grip on her blaster rifle tightened as she steadily pushed herself away from the wall. She aimed the blaster at the rifle and cautiously took a couple steps towards the opposite direction. Before she could escape, she watched a massive creature emerge from that filthy water. It let out a horrifying screech as it turned its attention towards the former Princess of Alderann. Remembering all the battles that she had faced in the war and all that she had survived during the Battle of the Titans on Earth, Leia was not going to let this creature claim her life. She gritted her teeth and aimed her blaster rifle at the beast. ********** This takes place after Kyle's battle with the Razor Claw Alien. Kyle manages to rescue Flash Thompson after his escape from the titan alien. They make it back to the New Republic cruiser. While there, both Flash and Kyle inform the crew about the creatures. Kyle also reports that he was sent there with Hera and Sabine. The New Republic security chief decides it is best to depart the space port with the cruiser and take their chances in finding resources elsewhere. Leia does not want to leave without making sure that Hera and Sabine are safe. She sneaks into the space port with some weapons. After making her way to a section that had been flooded with the space stations water and plumbing system, she is confronted by a swimmer alien. Leia Organa is armed with a blaster rifle, blaster pistol and a thermal detonator. ***On a side story, John Silver from way back in the arc has returned in his search for Treasure Planet. His search has led him to an ancient force temple where Dash Rendar and Doctor Aphra are fighting. He manages to get the ancient Wayfinder device but inadvertently sets off several traps. He escapes Doctor Aphra and the traps only to be rescued by Dash Rendar. While aboard the Outrider, he accidently activates the Wayfinder which opens a portal and brings a couple more guests upon the ship.

I tried to do a theme with mine team. I wanted characters that were anything but the sound of Ms Rachel on YouTube. I have no issues with her, but after hearing her for a thousand times while trying to change my toddler's diaper. I wanted a team that would no be that sound.

Great job, Movie-Brat! The match up definitely gave me Brave New World vibes especially considering Sidewinder and the Seperent Society have a big snake theme. -

Chapter 59: Phase 3: No Rest for the Weary Part IV Something was wrong. While waiting to hear back from Hera, Sabine was overcome with a feeling of dread. She tried calling out to Hera, but whatever was jamming the communications were still active. The Mandalorian stood up from her seat and started pacing around the cockpit of the Ghost. She heard the beeps and whistles of Chopper as the astromech droid rolled around the area. Sabine glanced down at Chopper and then turned her eyes toward the photo of Kanan hanging next to Hera's seat. Silently, she dropped her head and closed her eyes. Reflecting on all the friends and family that she had lost during the war with the Empire, the Mandalorian let out a gentle sigh. A tug at her legs and an obnoxious chirping broke Sabine from her moment of silence. The Mandalorian shot a glance down to see Chopper working at getting her attention. Sabine could not help but break a smile as looked over Chopper. "Alright, alright... I am going to check on her, but you are staying here. In case we need you to get us out on a fast get away." Chopper whistled as his domed head rotated around. "I know. I'm worried too, but I will be back. I promise..." Sabine said before turning her eyes toward the photo of Kanan once again. After everyone that she had lost, she could not lose another friend. The Mandalorian reached down and patted the top of Chopper's head. The atromech droid shook and whistled as Sabine walked out of the cockpit area. Making her way toward her quarters, she remembered all the time that Ezra and Zeb argued back and forth with one another. She chuckled as a memory the shifted to Kanan coming in and trying to separate the two bickering Rebels. While not much good came from the war with the Empire, she could not help but remember the good in the family that she found during the dark times. Sabine soon sauntered into her quarters. Reaching down for her gear, the Mandalorian started arming herself with her variety of weapons. From her painted armor to the blasters that she carried in countless battles, Sabine's memories started to run wild. She soon started reflecting to her battle with Serleena. It was the last battle that she fought on Lothal before reuniting with Hera. Serleena had several natural abilities that made her a force to be reckoned with, but she was no match for the Mandalorian. With all the skills that she acquired throughout her life as a Mandalorian and during her time with the Ghost crew, Sabine proved herself in the battle against Serleena. Even during her time of training with Ahsoka, she used all her combat knowledge and experience to defeat the deadly Kylothian. While putting on her armor and gathering her weapons, Sabine's dark eyes soon fell upon the lightsaber that once belonged to Ezra. She remembered when he first arrived on the Ghost and even when he first started training with Kanan. Even in all their battles together, nothing prepared her for what happened in their last stand against Thrawn on Lothal. With the growing tensions in the galaxy, Sabine began to fear that these growing tensions were leading to something much worse than anything that they had experienced in the past. The Mandalorian reached down and picked that lightsaber up off the table. She strapped it against the belt on her waist and then sauntered outside of her quarters. Approaching the doors, Sabine slipped her helmet over her face. The floors clanked with each step she made. While approaching the doors, Sabine stopped and stood over the control panel. Chopper rattled around behind her as she opened the doors to the Ghost. The Mandalorian glanced back down at the astromech droid and shrugged. "Stay here. If this goes bad, we may need you to prepare the ship for a quick escape." Even though, Chopper's programming did not like these orders, the red and white droid stayed behind. Sabine sighed while sauntered through the doors of the Ghost and into the latch that led to the massive space port. She glanced back at Chopper and nodded before the doors closed between them. The Mandalorian then turned her head and made her way down the corridor and into the terminal of the space station. It was quiet. An eerie darkness had fallen over the once busy space station. With the feeling that something was off, the Mandalorian reached down and took out her blaster pistols. She had turned on tracking fob that would lead to Hera. Looking over her surroundings, Sabine noticed that there were holes in some of the floors and gaps in a couple of the walls. Upon further examination, she noticed that these areas appeared to have been melted by some sort of acidic substance. Stepping away from the walls, she then saw a strange goo dripping down from a doorway. That uneasy feeling grew worse in the pit of her chest as she turned her attention to the tracking fob. There was something here. The deeper that she traveled in the space port, the more she began to see the change in the ship. There was a strange resin that covered the floors and walls. A sudden noise caused Sabine to spin around with her blasters drawn. She chuckled underneath her Beskar helmet as she saw a holographic image fading in and out. It was an advertisement for one of the many accommodations that this space port offered. Up ahead, she saw a doorway behind what appeared to be a counter. The Mandalorian steadily walked towards the counter and circled around it to see if everything was clear behind it. After seeing that it was clear, she glanced over at the doorway. Sabine sauntered through the door and noticed a foul smell linger in the air. As she stepped further into this room, she saw something that almost caused her blood to run cold. Lying on the floor were multiple bodies scattered around. Walking closer to one of the bodies, she noticed a hole in the chest. At first, she thought something had ripped out the heart of these victims. Her eyes widened once she saw that the punctures were coming outward. As if something had burst out of the chest of these individuals. A clattering noise caused the Mandalorian to jump to her feet. She spun around and aimed her blaster toward the sound of the clattering. Running out of the shadows, she saw what appeared to be some kind of rodent scurrying around different pots and pans. “Dank farrik.” She cursed under her breath before leaving the room behind. “What could have done that?” She thought to herself as she continued to follow the signal on her tracking fob. The Mandalorian started to fear for the worst as she thought about her friend. Whatever creature had done that was surely dangerous. Perhaps it had some kind of acidic attack that melted through the walls and floors. Several thoughts started racing through her head as she followed the signal deeper into the different sections of the space port. She then found herself in a level that appeared to be filled with a variety of crates and containers. A faint clicking noise soon caught the attention of the Mandalorian. Trying to control her breathing and keep her composure, Sabine started looking around in all directions. She knew that she was not alone. There was something lurking around in the shadows. There was something in this dark room that was stalking her. She soon saw as a long of drool dripped down onto the floor from above her. With a quick reflect, she leapt back and looked up to see the horrific sight of a terrifying beast. *********** This battle takes place shortly after Hera’s battle with the Ravager Alien. After having an uneasy feeling that something was wrong, Sabine decided to go and search for Hera. In her search, she found herself in a storage room where she came face to face with the Chrysalis Alien. Sabine Wren is armed with her Mandalorian armor. She also has her two blaster pistols and the lightsaber that she inherited from Ezra Bridger.

Hope you all enjoy -
The clock struck midnight as the band had finished their last song. From the beats of the drums to the blaring guitars, it was almost deafening inside the concert. Cheers and screams from the crowd caused the walls to shake while the lead singer raised his hands high up in the air for applause. Strobe lights shook as they shined down upon the crowds. Inside this concert, it seemed as if it was a chaotic concert with the crowd of partying fan. Outside of the concert, there was thunder and lightning that only added to the chaotic frenzy that the crowd had made for this underground band. The screams from the crows could be heard for several blocks while the light that shined through the winds was drowned out by the pouring rain. Patrol cars drove up and down the surrounding areas to monitor the crowds of partiers. It took a while for the crowd to calm down once the music had come to an end. Eventually, the craziness of the concert had come to an end. The crowds dispersed and left on this stormy night. For some the end of the concert mean the end of the night, but for others they wanted to keep the momentum going. They wanted to follow that rush from the highs of the blaring music. During the storm and through the pounding rain, they searched for ways to continue to that adrenaline high. Two such people were childhood friends, Lindsay and Jenny. The concert was everything that they wanted. Their only issue is that they wish the night would never end. With the pouring rain and the strikes of lightning, the two friends searched for a way out of the storm. Signals on their phone were weak and most of the Uber vehicles were booked with other members from the concert. Despite the storm and the lack of Uber vehicles in the area, the ladies decided to try their luck in braving the storm. Most bars and clubs were either at capacity or not worth the effort. The restaurants and diners in the area were either closed for the night or did not catch the interests of the two friends. Despite not wanting the night to end, the two friends did not find seem to have much of a choice in the matter. Their choices were limited. Through the thick and pounding rain, the two girls saw a warehouse up ahead. Hoping to at least find a place to get away from the storm, the two friends made their way inside the old and abandoned warehouse. Even though, there were attempts at boarding up the windows and entrances, it did not stop the locals from tearing away at the makeshift blockades. Lindsay and Jenny found an easy opening that led inside this warehouse. With what dim light they had from their phones, they could see that it appeared to have been abandoned for some time. Both girls were sauntered around as they looked over the dust and mold that covered the interior. They were not sure if it was once a factory of some kind. “Any luck with finding an Uber?” Lindsay asked as she peered back at her friend. “It looks like they are still pretty booked. Closet one is about 15 or 20 minutes out.” Jenny said with a shrug. Lindsay sighed before waving back her long-wet hair from away from her face. “Might as well get one booked then. Damn, I really wish there was something else to do!” With the faint signal that she had on her phone, Jenny had requested an Uber. A strike of lightning through the stormy skies caused the warehouse to light up. While Jenny's eyes were looking down at her phone, Lindsay something painted on the walls. She stepped closer to get a better look of the painting. It was a large mural that spanned almost as high as the ceiling itself. Her jaw dropped ever so slightly as she gazed over the image through the dim light on her phone. While her mind processed what the image was, a couple strands of her long-wet hair fell over her face once again. Lindsay waved it back as her eyes moved along the wall. She then caught sight of a figure emerging from the shadows. It was a thin and lean man that was dressed all in white. As he stepped closer into view, she saw what appeared to be lines of blood dripping down his eyes and stains all along his clothing. "Oh shit!" She screamed out before turning and running. Without looking back, Lindsay ran as fast as she could. She heard Jenny let out a scream shortly after followed by the footsteps of her running. Lindsay did not look back as she ran as fast as she could towards the exit. Despite the torrential downpour, she pushed through the storm. She ran across the wet pavement and through the thick drops of rain that pounded down against the Earth's surface. Lindsay ran until her lungs started burning and finally stopped to take a breath. With the momentum of her legs, she slipped on the ground but was able to catch herself before falling in a puddle. Lindsay turned her head back to see that there was no one behind her. There was no one chasing her. In fact, there was no one around her. She was alone. "Jenny?" She muttered to herself as she wiped the water from her face. "JENNY?!" Lindsay screamed out as she started stumbling back toward the direction of the warehouse. In her attempt to escape, she did not think to look back for Jenny. Through the fear and the panic, she did not realize that Jenny was no longer with her. Did Jenny get taken by this man in the white costume? Lindsay started breathing heavily as her eyes started to swell up. Tears roll down her face as she screamed out for her friend. "JENNY!" She cried out as loud as her lungs would allow. Lindsay started jogging back towards the warehouse. Before approaching the building, she saw the bright beams of headlights peering through the rain. Lindsay threw out her arms and waved them in all directions. Thinking that this could be the Uber that Jenny had ordered only moments earlier, Lindsay rushed towards the oncoming vehicle. The dark SUV came to a stop only a few feet away from the screaming girl. Before Lindsay could not on the window, the driver's side door opened wide. Lindsay's screams began to fade as her eyes adjusted to a large figure stepping out of the vehicle. "What the hell?" she said under her breath before hyperventilating. Lindsay tried to turn and run, but she slipped on a puddle of water. Falling on the wet pavement, she tried crawling away with what strength she had left. Despite her efforts, the large figure grabbed ahold of the terrified young woman. Lindsay kicked and screamed as he carried her back to his vehicle. He slammed her into the back of the vehicle, and she turned to see her attacker. Covering his face, he had what appeared to be the mask of a pig. She tried fighting back. She tried getting away, but the man with the pig mask placed a cloth over her face. There was a powerful smell embedded within the cloth. Suddenly, everything went dark. Opera music was playing over a speaker. There were noticeable moments of static while faint sounds of squeaky wheels could be heard. Lindsay started opening her eyes and her stomach started to turn at the smell of an awful odor. She almost puked at the smell alone, but then her eyes adjusted to the room that she was in. The floors were a stained tile that did not appear to have been cleaned in some time. There were brown spots covering the ceilings and hospital gurneys scattered throughout the room. Lindsay tried sitting up, but she found that her armed were strapped down on one of the gurneys that were in this disgusting room. She squirmed and she struggled while trying to break free from her restrains. A voice that overpowered the sound of the music had called out to her. “Oh, you are awake.” Lindsay turned toward the direction of the voice and started to panic. Lindsay saw the man with the pig mask inching closer to her. “What the hell are you? Where am I?” She screamed out while trying to break free from her restraints. “Do not be afraid my dear for soon you will be joining the rest of my darlings. Soon you will be perfect.” He said while extending out his arms with a scalpel in one hand and a surgical saw in another. “Please let me go!” Lindsay cried as her voice began to shake. “Please don’t hurt me.” “My dear, there is no perfection without pain. I am going to make you perfect.” “NO!” Lindsay cried before this large man plunged the scalpel into her flesh. Everything went dark. Waking up later, Lindsay could feel her body burning. Her head was throbbing, and her skin felt as if it has been torn to shreds. The world was blurry around her. From what she could see, she could tell that she was in that same filthy room that she was in before. This time, she was not tied down to gurney any longer. The young woman had little strength, but from what she had left, she pushed herself out of the gurney. There was a door that was cracked open, and the young woman used all the strength that she had to crawl towards the door. She pushed herself through and made her way down the hallway. “Just a little bit further, just a little bit farther.” She kept telling herself this as she moved down the damp hallway. That same unbearable stench that she smelt earlier had filled her nostrils. This time it was stronger, much stronger than before. Despite the smell, she continued to push forward. Despite the pain and the agony that she was feeling, she continued to move. She could not stay. If she stayed, she would die. She had to get escape. She had to find Jenny. She could not leave Jenny alone. Not again. Finally, she made it outside. The storm had past, but it was still dark out. She had no idea what time it was. At first, she did not know where she was until she saw a familiar landmark. A feeling of relief came over her once she saw the building that the concert was in. That warehouse was not far from there. Jenny was not far from there. A little more strength had returned to Lindsay as she managed to get to her feet. The throbbing pain in her head started to ease up as she stumbled forward. Her eyes then looked over her arms and body. Her arms and legs were covered in white gauze bandages, and she was in what appeared to be a hospital gown. Before she could look any closer, she heard screams coming from inside the building that she had escaped from. Without thinking, she started running. She ran toward the building that the concert was held in and then ran a little further. Her vision started to blur as her head started to grow lighter. The young woman soon fell on her hands and knees in exhaustion. The pain that she felt was too much. Lindsay vomited on the ground before falling face first on the pavement. She rolled around and tried crawling out of view. The skin around her abdomen started to burn as she hid underneath a dumpster. She watched as a dark SUV sped by the area. Lifting the gown, she saw what appeared to be stich marks all over her chest and stomach. She had no words. The young woman simply sobbed before taking a moment to catch her composure. She had to find Jenny. She had to make sure that Jenny was safe. Lindsay pushed herself up to her feet and made her way back to that warehouse. As she walked, she soon saw her reflection in a window. The air escaped her lungs as she reached up and gently rubbed her hands over her face. “What did he do to me? What did he do to me?” She sobbed as she looked over her reflection. What did he do to me?” She wept while starting to hyperventilate. Dropping down to her knees, she started rocking herself back and forth. She kept repeating those words over and over. She thought about her parents and what their reaction would be if they saw her like this. She thought about her friends and family. She thought about Jenny. The thought of her friend brought her out of this moment of shock. She had to find Jenny. They had to escape from this terrible nightmare. Lindsay saw the entrance to the abandoned warehouse and nodded. She was going to make sure that her friend was safe. The light from the moon and stars had shined through the windows of the abandoned factory. Lindsay steadily walked through the building until she saw it. She saw that same mural more clearly. As she looked over the painting, her eyes moved around to the rest of the factory. On one of the opposing walls, she caught a glimpse of another mural. Lindsay slowly made her way toward the image. “Oh my…” She said before going quiet. It was a painting of a man with a pig mask. While looking over the massive painting, her eyes then fell upon a figure laying down at the corner of the mural. Lindsay stepped closer toward the figure and wept. Laying down at the corner of the mural was the lifeless body of her friend. The pale remains of Jenny had lines of blood dripping down from her eye sockets. “No, please… No!” Lindsay cried as she fell on her knees next to her lifeless friend. “Please. I’m sorry!” Lindsay cradled her friend’s body in her arms as she cried. She could not help but think that whoever did this was inhuman. He was a deranged monster. “Don’t worry, it is not complete yet. This work of art is a shared piece...” A voice said from within the shadows. Lindsay turned her head to see that same thin and lean man from earlier coming out of the shadows. “And you are going to complete it.” The man said as he grabbed ahold of Lindsay. The young woman let out an agonizing scream before being knocked unconscious by the man in white. As dawn approached, the dark SUV stopped outside of the warehouse. Every door to the vehicle had opened. The occupants inside of the SUV had stepped out and made their way toward the warehouse. Walking deeper into the abandoned factory, the man in the pig mask soon caught a glimpse of the horrific sight that laid before him. The remains of his creation were lying next to the body of another girl. His perfect creation was now gone. Drained of blood and drained of life, his darling was gone. He then heard faint footsteps from around a corner. Professor Pyg turned his head and saw the man in white stepping out from around a corner. “YOU!” Professor Pyg screamed as he pointed at the thin man. “You hurt one of my perfect darlings!” “She was but a mere piece to something much greater than herself. She was a part of my art. Agony is but a sacrifice to the mysticism behind my work. My art requires pain. It requires blood.” Muse replied as he stared at Professor Pyg and his Dollotrons. “I have been waiting for you. You will make a fine piece on the wall of City Hall.” “Darlings, show him how perfect you are!” Professor Pyg commanded his Dollotrons while pointing at Muse. *********** In a battle of deranged individuals, who wins? Muse is armed with a couple knives. Professor Pyg had a scalpel and a cleaver. He also had 3 Dollotrons had his command.

Chapter 58: Phase 3: No Rest for the Weary Part III Within the Ghost, While trying to continue working on the ship's communications, Hera's mind began to drift. She thought about Jacen and the life that he would have in this galaxy. Hera did not want him to grow up in war. For Hera, it seemed all she had ever known was war. It was the same from Kanan before his death. The Twi'lek general did not want that same fate to fall upon her son. She did not want to see him become a soldier in yet another galactic conflict. As her mind drifted, she did not pay attention to the spark that shot out of one of the computers and burned her fingertip. "Ow!" She snapped while pulling back her hand. Chopper made a couple obnoxious chirps from behind her, and Hera glanced back at her companion. She sighed while rubbing her throbbing finger. Her green eyes then turned and saw the picture of Kanan sitting next to the controls. “It is okay, Chop…” Hera said softly. “It is going to be okay. It looks like the issue is not with our comms, but from outside of the ship.” Chopper’s round head started rotating around while a series of noises came from the droid. “Kyle wanted us to stay behind.” Hera said with a grin. “Perhaps, I can go out and find out what is jamming the signal.” A couple loud whistles and chirps came from the astromech droid once again. "It'll be fine, Chop. I have a scanner that should take me to the source of whatever is jamming the signal." The Twi'lek general opened a compartment near the pilot's chair and started shuffling through the equipment that was stored inside of it. She pulled out a device and pressed a button on the bottom with her thumb. The device lit up and it started giving off a signal. "I guess it still works." She said to herself while attaching the small device to her belt. She then glanced back at that same picture of Kanan that was sitting next to her seat. There was a bad feeling lurking inside of her chest. Even though she was not trained in the Force, she had a feeling that something was wrong. It was a feeling that had haunted her since receiving word of the attack on the New Republic in that far away galaxy. With the growing conflicts within their own galaxy, she felt that war was imminent. Knowing what horrors could come from another war, Hera knew she could not sit back and do nothing. Making her way to the supply area of her ship, the Twi'lek general looked over the weapons that she had gathered over the years. While everything seemed quiet, she did not want to go into a situation unprepared. A grin formed across her green cheek as her eyes looked over a large container full of thermal detonators. If Zeb were there, he would take as many as he could carry, but Hera tried to keep her mind on track. This space port was commercially used by species from several different galaxies. Despite not knowing what was waiting on the other side of the door of her ship, she could not risk any potential collateral damage. On the other hand, if there was an enemy force blocking the communication signals, then Hera did not want to go with only the blaster pistol that was holstered on her belt. She reached for a blaster rifle that sat alone in a case. Looking over the blaster and her equipment, the New Republic general nodded before turning around. Her green eyes widen once she saw a figure standing on the other side of the door to the equipment area of the Ghost. Sabine Wren crossed her arms and tilted her head. A slight smirk formed across the side of her cheek while she glared at the New Republic general. "The Jedi told us to stay." Sabine said as she leaned back against a wall. "I know what he said..." Hera responded with a smile. "But I am not just going to sit back and wait." "Want me to go with you?" Sabine asked. "No. I need you here in case the comms come back on." Hera replied. "So, you and the Jedi get to go out and have all the fun." Sabine replied while she shook her head. "Chopper will keep you company." Hera grinned as Chopper started whistling and spinning around in circles. Sabine sighed and rolled her eyes. "Joy." she said unenthusiastically. The two former Rebels sauntered toward the door of the Ghost. Hera opened the door and watched as the latch that led to space port came into view. Thinking over the missions that she had been on with the Phoenix Cell during their war with the Empire, Hera felt somewhat confident that this would be a simple in and out. She and her crew had a history of facing off against dangerous Imperial operatives and terrifying creatures. She told herself that this should not be any more dangerous anything that she had seen before. Before proceeding toward the space port, the Twi'lek turned back to see her friend. The Mandalorian had a stoic expression plastered across her face, but deep in her dark eyes, there was a bit of concern lurking around. "It will be fine." Hera tried to reassure her friend. "And if it is not?" Sabine asked. "Then that is why I have you here. If I do not return in an hour, then you can come looking for me." "Make it thirty minutes and we have a deal." Sabine replied. Hera grinned before patting her friend on the shoulder and said, "I've have done this before." "It doesn't exactly make it any easier. I've already lost some family members. I don't need to lose any others." "I will be back. I promise." Hera said before turning toward the latch that led to the space port. Sabine reluctantly shut the door of the Ghost behind Hera. The New Republic general made her way into the larger part of the space port. A faint light from above illuminated down on the massive interior. She could see remanence of what it used to be before everything had changed. There was a stench that filled the air and a strange substance that dripped down from the ceilings. There was something off with this place. A terrible feeling came upon her as she continued walking along the different terminals. There were remains of ships scattered throughout the station. It was as if they had been torn apart. Some of the small ships appeared as if they had been covered in some kind of strange organic resin. An uneasy feeling started stirring within the former Rebel as she sauntered toward a desk. She reached down and felt a sticky something along her fingers. Before she could look at it any closer, the device on her belt started giving off an alert. Hera wiped the substance off her hands before reaching down for the tracker on her belt. She looked over the signal and took a deep breath before following it deeper into the space port. While walking through the dimly lit corridors, the general turned on a couple lights that were attached to her equipment. The bright light from her equipment was enough to illuminate everything in her path. As she continued to follow the signal, she thought about what would happen if she ran into Kyle. Hera knew that the chances were slim as this space port was massive, but he did give her orders to stay behind. The thought soon faded once she the signal grew stronger. In one of the upper levels of the space port, there was a small cargo ship. She did not recognize the symbols on the ship, but she realized that it must have contained some sort of jamming device that interrupted all the communication in the area. As Hera pulled out the tracker to see if it could pinpoint the exact location of the jamming device, her eyes caught onto another device that was attached to her belt. The Twi’lek reached down and looked over the scanner. Her jaw dropped once she saw that the scanner had picked up a reading. Her heart started beating faster once she realized that the scanner was picking up a living organism that was close to her location. “Kyle, are you there?” She asked as she reached for her blaster rifle. The New Republic general then heard a clicking sound as that same substance started dripping down from above. Her green eyes then looked up and saw a terrifying beast leap across the ceiling and into the darkness. This creature was fast and agile. By the looks of it, it was deadly. Taking a deep breath, the Twi’lek general’s tight on her blaster rifle tightened as she regained her composure. Even though she was alone, she was not going to go out without a fight. She would not go down that easily. ****************** The battle takes place around the same time as Kyle’s battle with the Razor Claws Alien. Hera has decided to search for whatever was jamming the communications. After finding the location of the jamming device, she is confronted by Ravager Alien. Can Hera stop the Ravager and destroy the jamming device, or will the Ravager Alien claim another victim? Hera is armed with a blaster rifle and a blaster pistol.

"Death is but a door. Time is but a window. I'll be back!" The final words of Vigo the Carpathian haunted those that led the rebellion against him. Despite his advanced age, he instilled fear into even the strongest of those that opposed him. To make sure that the cruel tyrant was stopped, they enacted every form of execution in him that they could imagine. The Scourge of Carpathia was poisoned, shot, stabbed, hung, stretched, disemboweled, drawn and quartered. After his death, the kingdom of Carpathia had experienced something that it had not felt in ages. The nation was at peace. For the first time since Vigo's bloody rise to power, it had come to know peace once again. Even though the nation feared the final words of the despised tyrant, they started to have hope again. Hope was lost during the bloody reign of the cruel tyrant. Hope was absent to all that dwelt within Carpathia. That is until the death of Vigo. Hope returned and a time of peace began to flourish. The people of Carpathia and surrounding kingdoms had tried their best to rid the world of the wickedness that was Vigo the Carpathian. They tried to cleanse the kingdom of his loyal servants and followers. They tried to rid the world of his memory. As fate would have it, a piece of the Sorcerer's soul survived in his portrait. His memory remained ingrained in all those that had suffered under his rule. What remained of his loyal subjects took the painting of their feared leader and escaped from those that sought to hunt them down. They traveled far away from the kingdom of Carpathia. Through the harshest storms and the most unforgiving lands, they traveled until they felt that they were safe. They traveled until they felt that there was no danger pursuing them. Some had been lost along the way and several of their horses had perished due to the exhaustion. Even then, the portrait of Vigo the Carpathian survived all the trials that his followers had faced in their travels. Their journey brought them deep in the middle east. Far from any known village or kingdom, the surviving members of Vigo's followers set up camp for the night. As the group sat around the painting of Vigo, they began sing praises in honor of their fallen leader. Remembering his final words, they believed in their hearts that he would return. His death was only the beginning to what his true destiny would bring to this Earth. In his life, he often spoke of his throne of blood that sat upon a mountain of skulls. Vigo fully believed that his reign would spread to the ends of the Earth, either in this life or the next. His surviving followers held to this belief in that when he returned, they would be rewarded for their undying loyalty. On this night, the crescent moon shined down over the world while the air brought a slightly cold breeze. Vigo's followers prepared themselves for rest. Little did they know, they were not alone. Lurking in the cover of darkness, there were some that were watching them. There were some that were waiting in the darkness. The dwindling fire brought on a horrific disembodied scream from all around. The surviving followers of Vigo had jumped up from their rest to see what was making the horrific sounds. With lanterns and torches, they tried to peer outside of the camp to see what had made that sound. They soon caught sight of what appeared to be a whimpering girl sitting off to herself. They called out to her, but she did not acknowledge them. Looking around at each other, they decided to approach the girl. She was soon within arm's reach, and they called out to her again. The whimpering came to a stop and the young girl raised her head to look up at the followers of Vigo. The soft features of her face changed from a small child to that of a nightmarish specter. Her mouth dropped opened and she unleashed a deafening scream that sent shockwaves far past the camp. The followers of Vigo ran back to the camp to gather whatever weapons that they had. Suddenly, hordes of terrifying ghosts and entities rushed down upon the followers of Vigo. They emptied their guns as they shot out at the multitude of horrifying apparitions. Slashes with swords and blades, they tried fighting back against the armies of the dead. Despite all of the battles that they fought in alongside Vigo the Carpathian and conquests that they participated in, they were no match against the spirits that terrorized them. Each one of Vigo's followers unleashed blood-curdling screams as the ghosts and specters circled around them. The men felt as if they would be trapped in this horror for eternity. Even when they tried to escape, a multitude of spirits would block their path and keep them trapped within their camp. The weapons that they once carried were ripped from their hands and taken far away by different ghosts that circled around them. All hope seemed lost as armies of the dead surrounded the survivors. Every one of those ghoulish screams and the disembodied voices quickly came to an end. The hordes of spirit vanished as quickly as they had come. A gentle breeze blew through the camp as a soothing stillness had returned. The night was quiet. With the dim light from the stars above, the men looked around at one another and started to laugh. Each one let out a sigh of relief as the horror had come to an end. At least, that is what they believed. It was not long until they found themselves surrounded by people in long, ceremonial robes. They were surrounded and they were outnumbered. There was nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. They had no way to fight after the attack from the armies of ghosts only moments prior. These men in robes inched closer to them and each one of them were armed with an assortment of bladed weapons. Vigo's followers were rounded up and placed in a circle by these men. The men spoke in a language that was unknown to the followers of Vigo, but they each would chant a name that was heard clearly throughout the camp. One by one, the followers of Vigo were beheaded. It was not an execution, but rather, it was a sacrifice. It was a sacrifice to the name that they were chanting. It was a sacrifice to Gozer the Gozerian. Even in the slaughter, the portrait of Vigo the Carpathian survived. The spirit of Vigo waited patiently in the confines of his prison while his followers were murdered by this Cult of Gozer. He waited patiently in his prison, knowing that one day he would be set free. One day, he will be able to enact his revenge upon this world and upon the followers of Gozer. The portrait of Vigo survived that fateful night and many nights that had followed after that. It was eventually founded by a group of travelers and moved across the lands. Everywhere the portrait traveled, a trail of death and destruction would follow close behind. Year: 1931 New York People were struggling. The Great Depression had affected a majority of the population, and many had lost hope completely. There were some that were still haunted by the memories of the Great War while others were haunted by the acts that they had to do to survive during this time of economic turmoil. The world was struggling. In New York, negative emotions were running rampant as people tried to find ways to make it to the next day. It seemed as if the world was going mad. While many tried to help one another through these times, it did not stop the difficult times. People were struggling. All of this was witnessed by Ivo Shandor and his followers in the Cult of Gozer. They hoped that in bringing back Gozer to the world, the powerful entity could bring about a new age. Ivo and his many followers had found areas across the United States to become the gateways for the Destructor. One of these areas was deep in the heart of New York itself. Hoping that this building would become a super-conductive antenna and portal to Gozer's realm, he watched as the construction had reached its completion. During this time, he and other members of Gozer's cult began to seek out a man and a woman that could be worthy vessels for Gozer's minions. As the Cult of Gozer began to search far and wide for these vessels, another event was taking place in the heart of New York. Another group that Ivo Shandor was a part of had come into the possession of a piece of art that had dated back several centuries. The Manhattan Adventurers Society had come into the possession of the portrait of Vigo the Carpathian. After bringing the massive painting to New York, the members of the Manhattan Adventurers Society placed the painting in Shandor's completed building for safe keeping, unaware of Shandor's true intentions for that location. One of the members of the Manhattan Adventurers Society named Wilhelm von Homburg, was left alone to keep watch over Vigo's portrait. While standing in the cold dark room, von Homburg heard a sound coming from the painting itself. Overcome by curiosity, he inched closer toward the massive paint and looked deep into the eyes of Vigo the Carpathian. A form of energy shot out of the painting like lightning and struck the member of the Manhattan Adventures Society. The image of Vigo in the painting started to move and spoke to von Homburg. "I, Vigo, the Scourge of Carpathia, the Sorrow of Moldavia, command you! Find me a child that I might live again!" Underneath the city and in the old Pneumatic Railroad system, a River of Slime had started flowing towards the location of the Shandor Building. The supernatural activity surrounding the location had increased to unbelievable levels as Ivo and the Cult of Gozer prepared for the arrival of the Traveler. After finding two vessels for both Zuul and Vinz Clortho, Ivo and others waited until the skies began to darken. The city had become plagued by spirits of the dead as the time had come for Gozer's arrival. Zuul and Vinz Clortho were summoned in preparation for Gozer's return. Ivo and the Cult of Gozer even went as far as finding an infant child in hopes that their pure soul would be a worthy sacrifice for the arrival of the Gozerian. As lightning rained down from the dark skies, the portal to Gozer's realm had opened. The Destructor walked down from its thrown and appeared before Ivo and his followers. Ivo lifted the crying child as a gift for the Destructor. Before Gozer could acknowledge the small child, a loud voice could be heard from the behind Gozer's Cult. "What was will be! What is will be no more! Now is the season of evil!" Vigo's spirit yelled as he sauntered past the Cult. "Are you a god?" Gozer demand as its red eyes stared at the Carpathian. "I have surpassed being a god! I am Vigo the Carpathian, and my rule has returned!" "Then you will die!" Gozer declared.

Chapter 57: Phase 3: No Rest for the Weary Part II Within the Ghost, Kyle's eyes were closed in deep meditation. Reflecting on his path as a Jedi, he could not help but think over his journey. From his time as a stormtrooper to his battle against Jerec. Now, Kyle was a Jedi Knight in Luke's academy. He had become one of Luke's most trusted allies during this time of uncertainty. Even with Luke's deep connection with the Force, Kyle could see that his friend and Master had struggled in trying to stop the ever-growing conflicts within the galaxy. After recent events, Luke wanted nothing more than to lead a rescue mission to help save his sister. Despite his desire to help, the Force was calling him to stay with his academy. Sensing a disturbance and a threat surrounding his sister and the leaders of the New Republic, Luke called upon Kyle to help him during this time. The intriguing thought of exploring a new galaxy was something that Kyle could not pass up. Luke sent Kyle to join up with High Republic General Hera Syndulla and the Mandalorian known as Sabine Wren. The two heroes of the Rebel alliances were somewhat reluctant to have the Jedi join them on this mission. Hera was a little more welcoming and friendly, but Sabine kept to herself. The Jedi could sense that Sabine had a slight connection with the Force, but nothing that was significant. Despite that small connection to the Force, Sabine's main skill set revolved around her Mandalorian background. Hera, on the other hand, was a strong and gifted pilot. Kyle had heard about her exploits during the Rebels' war with the Empire. It did not take a strong connection to the Force to see that these women carried a heavy weight with them from the losses that they experienced during the Empire's rule. Kyle was not going to push and pry. He was only there to assist them in providing aide to the surviving leaders of the New Republic. The mission itself seemed simple enough, but Kyle also felt a disturbance in the Force. It was not going to be a simple mission of bringing supplies and providing aide. The Jedi was smart enough to know that something troubling was lurking in the darkness. He could sense that both Hera and Sabine felt the same way. While they were hesitant about flying with Katarn, they wanted to provide aide to the surviving leaders of the New Republic. Growing bored of hearing the constant back and forth between Hera and her droid, Chopper, Kyle decided to go down to the lower levels of the Ghost. He wanted to continue training in his lightsaber techniques while also having some time for himself. As he placed the blinding helmet over his face, the Jedi ignited his fiery blade. With steady control, he moved the blade in a swift motion. Thinking back to previous battles, Kyle tried to think of ways that he could improve on his skills. While he slashed the saber through the air with precise move, he sensed a presence entering the lower level. It was the Mandalorian known as Sabine Wren. Without taking off his helmet, he deactivated his blade. "Can I help you, Sabine?" Sabine chuckled as she stepped forward. "You know, I still cannot get over how you Jedi are able to do that?" "I bet if you continued your studies, you might actually begin to understand." Kyle replied before taking off the helmet. "I'm not a Jedi." Sabine sighed. "And yet you carry a lightsaber." Kyle replied with a grin. "It belonged to a friend." Sabine said while reflecting on Ezra. "I understand. I used to think that I was just a guy with a lightsaber." Kyle replied as he laid down the blinding helmet. "What changed?" Sabine asked. "I ask myself that every day." Kyle laughed. "Want me to show you a couple moves?" "No, thanks." Sabine muttered while turning away from him. Her thoughts started to reflect on Ezra and Kanaan. "Hera wanted me to come tell you that we are approaching the space port. We have not received any communication from it." "I sense something is wrong. I got a bad feeling about this." Kyle replied as he holstered his lightsaber on his belt. Kyle followed Sabine back up to the bridge. He could hear the rampant chirps and whistles coming from Chopper as they approached. Walking inside the bridge, Kyle caught a glimpse of the massive space spot that hovered over one of the moons in this distant galaxy. The lights that would typically be flashing on this massive space station were completely dark. There were no ships coming or going, and communication with the station was still down. "I have a bad feeling about this." Hera muttered while flying around the station. Kyle could not help but grin as it reflected his early comment to Sabine. As Kyle looked over the massive space station, he caught a glimpse of that New Republic cruiser that had ventured to the far away galaxy. He pointed at the docked cruiser and commented, "There she is." He said with a bit of concern in his voice. "What is it?" Hera asked as she glanced back at him with those green Twi'lek eyes. "I am not sure. I feel.... I sense something.... Terribly wrong." Kyle replied as he rubbed his hand against his face. Seeing the distress in the Jedi, Hera shifted her gaze back toward the massive space port. "I will look for a place to port." Hera said while looking over the ship. The New Republic found a gate not far from the New Republic vessel. Once the Ghost latched onto the space port, Chopper started spinning around and making several noises. "What is with you, Chopper?" Hera asked while glancing back at her droid companion. "I think you all should stay here. I will go and have a look." Kyle said while standing up from his seat. After walking down to the latch, the trio watched as the doors to the Ghost opened. The tunnel of the jet bridge that led to the space port was dark with a few flickering lights. "Well, this certainly looks spooky." Kyle joked as he looked down the tunnel. "We can come with you." Hera said as he eyes looked over the tunnel and then turned toward the Jedi. "That won't be necessary." Kyle said. "They probably just forgot to pay their electric bill." Hera reached into her pocket and pulled out a small communication device. She handed the small device to the Jedi. "Here is a comm...." Hera said before her expression went to visible disappointment. "Unfortunately, there is something blocking the signal." "A lot of good this will do me then." Kyle snicked as he pushed the comm into his pocket. "If, by any chance, you are able to get out a message then we will come to help." Hera reassured him. "Thanks." Kyle said as the doors opened behind him. The Jedi stepped through the doors and steadily headed down into the port. He listened while the doors to the Ghost closed behind him then proceeded forward. There was something strange about this place. An unusual smell lingered in the air around and there was not a life form in sight. There walls and floors were covered in a resin that Kyle had never seen before on any of his adventures. The further he walked into this massive space port, the more his senses alerted him of a great danger lurking inside. This space station was once filled with a great multitude of travelers, but now it was empty. The questions that started burning in his mind was where did everyone go and what happened to everyone that was here. Kyle soon felt a disturbance. It was as if someone was in great danger. The Jedi raced to get to the lower levels. As he ventured down lower into the space port, the lights started to fade into a flicker. The resin that he saw along the walls had grown thicker and more eerie. It seemed as if he was no longer inside a space station. The Jedi felt as if he entered a whole new world. With the dim lighting and this strange resin that covered everything in sight, he felt as if he was in some sort of nightmarish world. He could sense the danger around him and a small part of him wanted to turn back. Despite that small part of him wanting to return to the safety of the Ghost, Kyle knew that there was someone deep in this place that was in trouble. The Jedi had to see this through. He had to be the light in the darkness. A faint grunting sound soon caught his attention. Kyle's ears perked up while slowly approaching a couple massive shipping containers. The Jedi reached down and wrapped his fingers around his lightsaber hilt. Unlatching it from his belt, he took a steady breath before getting closer to the containers. With lightning-fast reflexes, he ignited the fiery blade and put it before him and a figure that lunged out at him. The figure came to a stop and Kyle quickly looked over it. It was a man covered in a strange black and white suit. "Who are you?!" Agent Venom hissed while looking over the Jedi. "My name is Kyle. I'm here to help." Kyle replied while looking over the man in black and white. He could tell that he was severely wounded, but the suit kept his wounds concealed for the most part. "What happened here?" "I don't know... I am here with a group in need of aide. I came to scout out this place and I..." Agent Venom paused as he could not believe what he had been through. "What? What is it?" "I ran into a monster..." Agent Venom said shaking his head. "It was the size of a ship and it had acid for blood. I... I barely escaped." "Where it is now?" Kyle asked while looking around his surroundings. "I don't know." Agent Venom replied. "I managed to weaken it, and got away while I could. There were more... A lot more... Much smaller but not any less dangerous. I got away as fast as I could." "You're wounded." Kyle said as he observed Agent Venom. "I've survived worse." Agent Venom replied while glancing down at his legs and remembering his time without the suit. "Where is your ship? Where are the New Republic?" Kyle asked. "They are safe. I can..." Agent Venom replied before pausing. "I sense it to." Kyle said as his eyes started looking over the world around. It was quiet as the two looked over the ceiling and walls. Despite the silence, the two knew that they were not alone. The silence faded as they heard a faint clicking sound. Agent Venom had his guns trained on one of the shipping containers and slowly started to approach it. The symbiote that covered his body reached out and steadily opened the door to the container. It was empty. There was a small bit of relief that came over both Agent Venom and Kyle Katarn before Flash glanced back at the Jedi. The moment was cut short as something whipped around the corner of the container. Before the already wounded Agent Venom could react, he was knocked back against the wall by a deadly force. Kyle pointed his fiery blade at the attacker and saw the outline of a horrifying creature. The creature let out a terrifying scream before backing up into the darkness. Kyle glanced down at the unconscious Agent Venom. He then looked over his surroundings. The Jedi could hear a faint clicking sound in the darkness as it circled around him. Remembering his training, Kyle spun his lightsaber into a defensive position and waited for an opportunity to fight his enemy. **************** The battle takes place moments after Agent Venom's battle with the Titan Xenomorph. Kyle and the Ghost crew have arrived at the space port to try and help the New Republic. With the communications being down, Kyle sensed that there was a disturbance in the space port. He traveled down to see what it could be and discovered the wounded Agent Venom. Before they could leave, the razor claws alien lunged out and knocked out Agent Venom. The Alien then crawled back in the shadows for the perfect opportunity to take out Kyle. Kyle Katarn is armed with his lightsaber.
